We blew a hose coming up the grapevine pulling a trailer with our 2 dogs. We had AAA tow us and our trailer to Martins. From our first call from the side of the road, a few photos just mins later he found the part we needed. Had his son drive almost2 hours round trip to grab the part. We were in and out quickly. We are so grateful to have found Martin in a serious situation (side of freeway on a bend). Him and his family are knowledgeable and customer service through the roof. read more

Martin's Garage is the place to take your business in the Frazier community. John Martin is trustworthy, reliable, honest, & thorough. Plenty of shops here have stellar reviews from Grapevine travelers in an emergency, but aren't great for locals. I'm grateful to have been referred to Martin's! Having a reliable, honest mechanic is essential up here & it's a relief to have Martin's Garage. read more

I needed an oil leak to be taken care of and I was treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Very accesible, detailed and friendly. read more

Our Mazda overheated on the grapevine. Terrible - but Johnny met our tow truck after hours, helped us evaluate the problem, and gave us a reasonable quote for repair. He also encouraged us to compare with others and to talk with friends before committing to the repair. We now have our car back and are so grateful we stumbled upon such a reliable and skilled person. He really is the best. read more

I am so pleased with the work Martin's Garage has done on my car. I am so pleased with the excellent customer service that I have received from them. These people are a Christian family which makes me feel extremely comfortable and blessed every time I enter their facility. Martin and his sons work at the facility together and they are such competent, knowledgeable and honest people. I trust them with my car and I believe in the work that they do. I have brought my car in once again for maintenance and I did so because of the excellent work they did a year ago. They have been a blessing in my life. Deborah Christian-Lepera read more

Our car kept overheating in Lebec. We had to drive and stop every two minutes while going uphill in Grapevine. Thankfully we somehow made it and once we got to the garage, Martin took one look and immediately knew what was the issue. We're now on the way and there's no more overheating! Kind man, very helpful and made sure our car was safe. read more

It's hard to find an honest mechanic these days, Jonathan and the rest of the team at Martins garage are knowledgeable but most importantly honest. I have taken multiple vehicles here and every time they exceed my expectations. I wish them many more years of business. God bless them read more

Martin's Garage - Auto Repair Near Me - Lebec, California

Very honest family own business with reasonable prices. Honest mechanic is hard to find. It is a gem in the mountains

I have nothing but great things to say about this shop. We were stranded on the grapevine hopeless after getting turned down by a couple of local shops. We had all our valuables with us, including our pet fish and really needed to get back on the road. Thank goodness Martin accepted us. He is such an honest mechanic, friendly, transparent, and works fast. He even gave us our old parts back to check out. I highly recommend this shop. The other great reviews are the truth! read more

I was at my wit's end trying to get my wife's pride and joy, her absolute mint 2003 PT Cruiser smogged because we recently changed the battery and the sensors would not all register. Even the Chrysler dealer in Bakersfield would not look at it due to its age, even though it looked brand new and was meticulously cared for (0 stars for them). I drove the car as the smog station instructed...and drove it and drove it and drove it...even changed the oxygen sensors...all no good. Finally, on a recommendation from my neighbor, I took it to Martin's garage. I told Jon (the owner) that I was going to have to put the car on "non op" because my registration window was running out and neither the Bureau of Automotive Repair (they sent me to a local place that does smog repairs and even THEY wouldn't touch it - 0 stars for them too) nor the DMV was any help to me at all. Jon told me to leave the car with him and he'd get back to me. Three hours later, he called. Not only did he find the problem but he took it back to the smog station and had it smogged (and it passed!) for me. Then he came to my house and picked me up so I wouldn't have to arrange a ride to get the car at his shop...and the total for all this was more than reasonable! You just don't get service like this ANYWHERE ANYMORE. This is a family-run, honest place with tremendously fair prices. I highly recommend Martin's Garage - you can trust them implicitly with your car, hands down! read more

Brought both our truck and car here for different reasons. Quick service had us back on the road in no time! Prices are reasonable and the personal touch from the owner is 5*. read more

Had an issue with my car. Called Matin's Garage and Johnny said to stop by the following week after work so he could take a look (it was not a real emergency and I did not want to drive to the city, sit at the dealership, etc.). He was SUPER nice, SUPER helpful, and he actually reset the car computer for free for me!! Not common to find a place that really cares about helping people like this anymore. I will be back for regular service, as I am very glad to have found a local place that I can rely on for my car. read more

Small family run place and the owner was honest, fair and reasonable. We were passing through, had trouble and were steered here by the napa store down the street. Martin could have easily charged us a bunch because we were basically stranded, but he didn't. He got us fixed and back on the road in no time, and for a fair and reasonable price. Highly recommend this shop. Thanks Martin. read more

I was in a jam at the top of the I-5 truck check engine light came on and it computer tested"don't drive". Limped it to Mr. Martin and he got me going safe. read more

Very nice. They scanned my car for free when a check engine light came on and gave me advice on how to handle.

I was overheating and Martin took the time out of his day to help me diagnose the car free of charge. Really solid dude and knows what he's talking about. read more

My car broke down on the way back to LA - the alternator went out on the highway. Martin's services were incredible and super timely. Can't complain about the prices either! Thanks again Johnny at martin's! read more

I live in the mountain community and needed a repair on the CV axle on my Honda Accord. Jonathan repaired the vehicle and I got it back and drove it for a day. The new part was defective and caused the same problem as before the CV axle was replaced. That can happen when a re-manufactured part fails. Not only did Martin's Garage replace the bad axle, they did it without whining or fussing. These folks are a throwback to people who care about their customers. If you want an honest, dependable auto repair shop use them. This business treats you on the level. read more

John and his family and workers are the absolute best. Honest and honorable they are there to fix your car not empty your walet.

Usual story, overheated on the Grapevine, had to be towed. We first went to another garage that was open Sunday afternoon, but they said they couldn't even look at it until Monday. We left and checked into Motel 6, and searched for alternatives. Martin's is Napa Care certified, so we were under warranty, and went there Monday morning. They found the problem, easy fix, and we were out in an hour! The other place could have done the same thing, made some money and had us going that night. But then, they probably would have wanted to replace the radiator! Thanks John at Martin's, you are awesome! read more

I needed oil change on my F150 which usually gets taken care at dealer and I have to leave it for about 3 to 5 hours every time I'm there so I took it to Martin and was done in about hour and at reasonable price. I'm happy I did. Nice atmosphere and honest! Thanks Martin's Garage! read more

Johnny was great. My Honda Civic 2002 had a cam sensor go out about a mile and a half from Martin's Garage. A local person recommended Martin's Garage and I am very thankful for the recommendation. My car was disabled on Saturday so it was not looked at until Monday, no problem with that. On Monday I contacted Johnny and he explained what the problem was and the OEM part was ordered. I received my car on Thursday and it runs great. Thank you very much Johnny Martin! His brother was very helpful too, since he drove me ALL the way to Valencia to rent a car. Very honest, very reasonable. Thanks again! read more

Jonathan at Martin's Garage really helped me out in a pickle. My diesel truck broke down hauling a horse up the grapevine on the way to LA, and I was stranded. AAA initially towed my truck to a different local shop that suggested major repairs, and I'm so glad I had the truck towed again to Martin's Garage upon the recommendation of a local. Jonathan diagnosed and fixed the truck in a matter of hours, and we were on our way. If you have to get towed by AAA in this area, ask them to tow you to Martin's Garage, nowhere else. Thank you! read more

I was definitely worried about getting auto work done in a small town near an interstate. The first place I went to (I won't name them) really gave me a bad vibe, so I went to Martin's Garage. So happy to have found this place. They did great work, in a short amount of time, and for a very competitive price. Now that I am living up on the mountain, I will definitely be going back. read more
