This is a huge IHOP location, and it doesn't seem to get much business. so staffing is light, as other Yelpers have noticed. I walked into an almost empty restaurant during a mid-afternoon travel break. There were two other people there though, and I was greeted and seated rather promptly. My order was the French Toast Faves Combo ($7.00), which came with an egg and two portions of either bacon or sausage, and of course coffee. Honestly, it was delicious, and one of the best deals available while traveling on Interstate 5. The coffee was pretty good, and supplied enough caffeine to keep me alert on my way to San Diego. My server was Lorena R, and she was perfect. Thanks for the great service, Lorena. This shopping center is a bit eclectic, but I spotted the IHOP sign and knew where to stop. We always stop here on our way to SoCal and always had good friendly service and good food. Not sure what else you could expect from a ihop in the middle of nowhere? It's located in a really odd shopping center with a random baskin robins next to it inside. I always stick to the classics like pancakes, waffles. Etc. Never disappointed. I almost left after standing at the front for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. As a professional truck driver who had been on the road for hours without eating, it was frustrating, especially at a location that proudly displays a "Welcome Professional Drivers" sign. Once I was seated, I quickly realized the issue wasn't the employee--it was the lack of staffing. Crystal was the only person working as both the hostess and the server, and she handled it exceptionally well. Crystal was absolutely amazing. She greeted everyone with kindness, stayed calm under pressure, kept drinks refilled, checked on me multiple times even though she was taking care of the entire restaurant, and never let the stress affect the quality of her service. She deserves recognition for the outstanding job she did. My disappointment is with IHOP's management, not Crystal. No employee should be expected to run the front of the house and serve an entire dining room alone. It's unfair to the staff and unfair to the customers. IHOP should be disappointed in the scheduling decisions that leave hardworking employees like Crystal short-handed and set them up for an impossible workload. I came on a lazy Sunday, so absolutely no crowd. Received quick service. IHOP was a nice change up from the usual fast food I get on these long I-5 drives, I.e. In N Out, Popeyes. Leaving a 5-star review because I was pleasantly surprised by how good their chicken sandwich was. Grilled chicken was very juicy, so the chicken juice mixed with the jalapeño juice and onions to create this "super juice"--which dripped out the back! A great example of a sandwich that's greater than the sum of its parts. I'll probably be back to this location. read more

I think by now anyone on Yelp knows what to expect when it comes to IHOP. So this review will focus more on the particulars of this location vs. the menu items and their quality... if you've been in one IHOP you've pretty much seen them all. My only real complaint about this location is the wait for a table, and I'm sure it's hard to plan for foot traffic in Lebec, most of the customers are likely travelling and you never know what convention or event is going to suddenly turn a lazy Friday morning into complete bedlam. That said, there was a 30 minute wait even though there were plenty of empty tables (just not enough wait staff). Once seated however, service was great, our server was very friendly and attentive, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The more interesting aspect of this particular location is that it is located inside a Petro Shopping Center... so there's a lot to see while you wait, and you can get ice cream after you have finished your pancakes. There's a HUGE parking lot, so if you can't find parking, I don't recommend stopping! read more

We stopped at this IHOP in Lebec on our way to Yosemite with a group of eight because a few people were hungry and we wanted something quick and familiar. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. I tried to order "pigs in a blanket," which is a simple item I've ordered at other IHOP locations without any issue -- just sausage links wrapped in pancakes. Even after showing the waitress a photo, she had no idea what it was. She asked the cook, who also didn't know. Then they asked the manager -- still no solution. I understand menus can vary by location, but this was a very basic request using ingredients they already had. The confusion and unwillingness to accommodate something so simple was surprising. To make matters worse, someone in our group later realized she was charged $30 for what should have been a $13 meal, plus she left a $5 tip. That kind of billing error is concerning. We were told this location operates differently because it's attached to a gas station/truck stop and that not all IHOPs are the same -- but that doesn't explain the lack of menu knowledge or the overcharge. When I asked the hostess about it, she said my name had already been crossed off the list as if we had been called, which never happened. We then waited another 10 minutes to be seated. We stopped at this IHOP last weekend and were asked to wait to be seated even though it was nearly empty and a few waitresses just standing around. About 15 mins later we get seated (again, the place was empty so whats the hold up?) We get seated at a table by the kitchen and ordered our coffees. We got the coffees and after a 40min wait for the food we decide to ask the waitress to bring more coffee and ask how much longer for the food to arrive. She said she'd check. 5minutes passed and still no word from the waitress. We can hear the disarray in the kitchen and the cooks look confused as to what to cook. There were two or three plates of food sitting on a counter sitting there... Someone from my party saw another table just then getting their food and they were waiting before we had arrived! Those people must've waited an hour or more. We decided to leave and just pay for the coffees and soda we had. We got up from the table to pay at the front but they seemed to struggle w that so one waitress was courteous to not charge us at all. We decided to take a girls trip for a Sunday morning brunch and we were quite surprised to see it not crowded at all! Once we were sat and looked over the extensive menu we finally picked what we wanted. I hadn't been to an IHOP in quite a few years, so the menu was very different from what I remember. It has a closer resemblance to a Denny's menu now minus the skillets. Bridgette, our server was friendly, patient and helpful in getting everything we needed! She even made a cool drink for my daughter that was half decaf and half hot cocoa! She loved that! I was really pleasantly surprised by the Bacon Jam Eggs Benedict, the muffin was fresh, and the eggs cooked perfectly!! Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast, so I always want to try it if it's on the menu. The cinnamon apple pecan pancakes I thought might be overly sweet but once I tried them they were a perfect treat and not too sickly sweet for breakfast! American Icon restaurant that should be a safe late lunch stop.... It was. Our server was accommodating, making sure our needs were met. She was timely, and helpful, too. The food was fine. About what you would expect from an IHOP or Denny's type diner. They don't have bleu cheese dressing; that's a miss for sure! Otherwise, they had what we needed. New IHOP in the Tejon Ranch Outlets that opened around November of 2022., almost directed across from The TESLA Super Chargers. Great spot to stop when charging to rival the Denny's down the road. I love that you can order the "Split Decision" breakfast because I can never decide what I want, so I chose a bit of everything. The service was great, which can sometimes be hit or miss at these chains, and the total came out to just around $20 after tax. Not too shabby, IHOP! read more

The waitress didn't mention anything about being out so I don't know why it was missing. But I'm sure the avacado would have made it even more delicious. We came in here after a Basketball game in Frazier Park. Super disappointed. Hubby and I came for brunch. Both of our orders were wrong. Hubby's food took almost 20 minutes to replace. My oj was watery and basically undrinkable, so they replaced it and it was the same. The 2 waitresses working were very sweet, the only saving grace to the visit. They were very understaffed as well. On a holiday weekend only having a small shift doesn't make any sense to me. Tables sat dirty for the entire time we were there. The price vs quality and quantity is unreasonable as well.
