I don't eat fast food very much but I was driving back from Fresno and stopped in Arvin to look at some shops at the outlets and I needed something quick to eat. I just ordered an 8 piece chicken nuggets. The cashier was friendly and quickly took the order. My order took some time, maybe 10 minutes to be ready. But the nuggets were hot and I enjoyed the honey mustard sauce with them. read more

Lazy rude employees said drive thru is closed and I guess they just feel like they can dictate when they decide to close and who can order what I went there 30 mins before they closed which running a franchise goes against policy just saying if your open til 12am you are fully functional and running til 12 otherwise please update your hours I never seen a place do that it's ridiculous, on top of that the worker was rude and straight up lied to me saying they were closing in 5 mins. Like just say you don't want to work I'd respect that more but to lie that's very disrespectful. There were people still eating in there too who had fries etc and this place wasn't even accommodating to make that because they were again "closed" and only felt like making cheeseburgers absolutely pathetic and appalling. We rarely stop to eat at the bottom of the hill (grapevine), but we were en route to my aunt's for Thanksgiving & there was a traffic influx (signage announced a 100-min. delay; it was longer) that caused our norm clearance of 90-mins. to become 6-1/2 hrs. so our kids were starving by the time we got downhill. I suggested Burger King because it was slightly further from the fwy. exit, thinking the line may be shorter -- it wasn't. With a handful of families ahead, it took us 25-mins. to get to the register & have our order expedited. Not bad, but it could have been faster if they had more staff. I was impressed with the guy handling big & small board (at least that's what they used to call the roles when I worked at BK as a teenager. The Whopper tasted just like I remembered. I figured now that I'm older the burger might be more filling -- it wasn't. It didn't help the fact the I skipped lunch with the intention of eating a couple hours later instead of dinner. I shared a large order of fries with my 8 YO. He enjoyed his cheeseburger better than a previous visit of chicken fries, which were too dry in his opinion. I was impressed with M's handling of his hunger pangs to hold off 7 hours until dinner. His cheeseburger & fries were a welcomed sight & his hunger was satiated. H also had a Whopper; I was surprised that she was able to polish it off. My husband got their upgraded chicken sandwich has a "royal sauce" which was slightly spicy & reminded him of curry. It was a small sandwich for him, but he didn't want to eat too heavily since it was a late dinner. The food court dining room was set-up to seat groups of 2s & 4s with some 4-tops pulling chairs from nearby tables to seat 5 or 6 diners. Don't expect the tables to be clean or cleaned when asked; this Travel Centers of America is so busy & short-staffed that the dining room is a mess. Good thing is that most travelers were conscientious of cleaning up after their meal. However, the trash can was overflowing with trash. I would make an effort to check if the bins need to be emptied before it gets to that point, otherwise they'll hav to clean any spills on or near the bins & floor. Community restrooms are to the right of the food court entrance; well-stocked but also overflowing with dirty paper towels. Not likely to stop in this area because we prefer to make good time en route to our destination or return trip home, but if you're looking for a quick meal, this Burger King satisfies. I am pretty sure this is the worst Burger King location in California. It's dirty to drive through somehow is always closed. It's understaffed so you're waiting to order. The staff seems so miserable that you feel bad for them and it's weird because it's such a high traffic location. You think Burger King would actually pay attention to this one but it's horrible. I just walked out for the third time and this will be the last time. I try to attempt this in this location, I love Burger King. Just sad the state of pretty much all fast food has calmed down so low. read more

The worst Burger King that I have ever set foot in. I decided to stop by for my toddler to enjoy lunch and was surprised by the 3 eateries located in one spot- kind of like a mini food court. There were plenty of seating to chose from and there were plenty of high chairs available for usage. My daughter's never-fail meal is a plain cheeseburger with ketchup along with fries. We also grabbed a spicy chicken sandwich. Order was pretty quick due to no line but the wait was longer than it really should have been. Isn't this FAST FOOD?? Food: Spicy chicken sandwich was good. The meat was juicy and thick- just how we'd hope for it to be. The cheeseburger was the worst of the worst when it comes to all my past BK purchases. The bread seemed semi stale [see photo], the patty was dry, and it was hard for my child to eat/enjoy. It literally went into the trash after a few bites and we ended up having to get her a few snacks next door. 1 star and that's because I'm forced to give that. People are being nice giving this so many stars! It took over 30 minutes to get our food in the drive through. We were the only ones in the drive through line. Sprite was out. Asked for two burgers with meat, cheese and mayo and got two burgers with mustard, mayo, pickles and everything we asked NOT to put on there for our kids. Asked for a chicken sandwich without lettuce and it came with lettuce. The people making did not even look at the receipt. They did nicely offer to remake the food. Buns were dry and stale. Stopped in for breakfast. It's connected to a gas station with a bunch of other fast food places. We were able to use a coupon But it was busy and the food took a little while to come out. Croissant sandwiches were solid - cheesy, meaty and eggy. The tater tots left something to be desired. They were cooked but not crispy at all. The outside was a light brown. They could've fried them a bit longer. Must've been bc it was so busy and they were just trying to get food out as soon as possible. We got OJs instead of coffee too. read more

The particular BK is located in the TA truck stop right off the 5 freeway. There's ample parking for Big Rigs as well as cars. Ordered a Biscuit with egg and cheese and some tater tots. The tater tots were slightly less browned than I prefer. The Biscuit was fresh and tasty The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean especially for being in a truck stop. Everything was fresh and piping hot when I bit into it. As far as fast food goes this was a better than usual experience. read more

Our service was great. Fast, friendly and efficient. It was clean inside. The food was also fresher than any other Burger King I've been to. I'm picky with my coke. Usually fast food coke isn't great but theirs is. They must have turned this BK around after all the bad reviews. read more

Grading fast food to me is really about whether the shop can assemble the components correctly and neatly, with everything at the expected temperature, and do so in a courteous manner with no mistakes in my order. Using these criteria, this BK largely delivered on my late night order of whoppers and onion rings. There was a surprising number of people ordering when I came through at the late hour, but the BK staff got my order correct, and the whoppers were good although somewhat sloppily put together. The onion rings were fried a bit too hard and they forgot to include ketchup but when I ran back, they quickly threw a bunch of packets in the bag and were apologetic and courteous. So as far as this BK fast food joint goes, I'll take it. read more

Do not go to any restaurants in this building unless you're willing to pay a lot more. Prices are about 50% more here than in your typical standalone BK. Travel Centers of America (TA) has franchised the fast food restaurants here and have jacked the prices up because they think we're hostages to their gouging. Lots of other restaurants in this area now with standard pricing. read more
