I just happen to be passing by in Arvin and I just wanted something to drink so I got something to drink and I just happen to get a double cheeseburger also they gave me my iced tea and they parked me for a double cheeseburger mind you there was nobody in the drive-thru I was the only one so I waited about 5 minutes they finally bring out my double cheeseburger of course it was down pour raining The bag was all wet and the burger wasn't even hot come on let's be real so I guess if you hungry I guess you try to avoid the McDonald's in Arvin because they're just terrible only reason why I'm giving them two stars because of course a sweet tea was on point other than that that burger was terrible would have asked for a hot one but I didn't feel like waiting any longer read more

Came to start my morning with a nice coffee today at 5am (A whole hour after they are supposed to open) when I am met with a barricade of 2 employee cars blocking the north entrance. I go around to Main Street to try the main entrance when I encounter a fat girl acting as a human shield waving me down to not enter as she then instructed another employee in their car to block that entrance. I myself am a really understanding and empathetic being in the case that a few or all employees were late. But what really puzzles me here is the amount the f effort commitment and energy used to literally barricade an entire McDonalds from the public just to avoid confrontation due to their own mistakes instead of using that towards catching up on opening the store as a team. I'm all for giving young adults an opportunity to work fast food especially at the rate they're being paid now but can we get competent workers at the very least??? Went here for the drinks just cause they are so cheap compared to all the other fast food places. I got Diet Coke and my husband got Dr Pepper , neither of them tasted like the actual soda we ordered. Instead they tasted like some weird soda flavor with lemon! Hello, I wouldn't have generally posted something like this here but I felt like people should know the kind of people that McDonald's has as managers. I ordered a chicken sandwich and used the McDonald's app to get free fries since it was Friday. My boyfriend gave the code to the worker, who was already being very rude to us, but we ignored it because we were hungry. We pulled up to the first window and the worker read the order back but it was missing the fries, so naturally my boyfriend asks,in the most polite way you can, if there were fries attached to the order. The worker says no and we mention that we had given a code. She says that she didn't receive a code and could not give us the fries. So we then ask if there's a way we can still apply the code to receive the fries. She then says that she will get her manager so we assume that maybe she needed some sort of override and we wait patiently. The manager shows up and starts yelling at us that we didn't give a code and they weren't going to apply in the window. So I tell her, now pretty upset , that we did apply the code and that we had seen it on the screen but it didn't come on the receipt. She yells back that she was going to give us a refund and wanted us to leave her restaurant. So I'm just so frustrated and my boyfriend is telling me to just relax and we can leave but it's ridiculous that people will act that way over something small like adding fries to a meal, we were willing to pay for them as well but she didn't even bother to offer us any alternative. She hands us the money and my boyfriend tells her that she didn't have to be rude , that we had asked the worker very politely if there was a way we can add the fries. She just closed the window on him and walked away with worker. I understand that working in fast food must be a huge hassle and maybe she was already stressed out from the day but no one should be that rude to a customer when they are asking for something reasonable. We didn't even insinuate that maybe they had made a mistake on their part but she was talking us as if she never made mistake and there was no one that they had forgotten the code. We left pretty upset since we've never had an experience like that, let alone in our small town. I just wanted to share this in case anyone else has dealt with that manager or in hopes that this makes it to her and she can see that her attitude is disgusting. I'm unsure about all these 1 star reviews - I'm from San Francisco and came here for some ice cream and a meal for my daughter - this McDonald's always seems to be busy BUT every single person that I encountered with were nice and not rude like ppl in previous post mentioned - there was one staff member in particular that went beyond customer service levels his name tag said his name was "FER" very helpful & sweet !
