I had a really frustrating experience here. The staff was rude, and our order was messed up not once, but twice. We stopped at this Jack in the Box for lunch on our way to the Bay Area. We were waiting at the counter to order, but no one was paying attention to us. A staff member told us to use the kiosk, so we started ordering there. About a minute later, a woman suddenly started serving another customer at the counter. It didn't feel very professional. We ordered several items. My wife noticed that our soda cup was missing, and one box of mini tacos was also missing. I had to ask for both. My bathroom was not blocked with trash cans or trolls requiring I answer riddles three, nor was it a pubic hair and skidmark sandwich. In fact, I didn't need a code or key. The servers were not villains from "Matilda". The floor was not a glue trap. The lobby wasn't a sweat lodge. The weird double entrance, the kind they have at animal farms to keep the goats from running out, likely kept out the swarms of flies people go on about. So, I am confused about the bad reviews. In fact, this Jack in the Box is basically an oasis to anyone driving north on the Grapevine, freeway close, with lots of parking, open late. A star off, though, for having airport prices. (Example: a large soft drink is 2.69-2.99 elsewhere, here $3.99), though this is to be expected in tourist-heavy areas. We drive past here all the time when headed to Disneyland and headed back home. Today was our first time stopping here, and they had $5 meal deal, which includes: breakfast jack, 3 French toast sticks, and a hashbrown. Winning!! When I walked in, it wasn't too busy, but the place was clean. The lady who helped me was super nice, and we talked about the snow and if it was snowing here already. We pulled in off the grapevine for lunch. As we were getting out of the car I checked in on Yelp and saw the 1-star rating, but figured it was a few spoiled people who don't frequent fast food joints bringing down the rating. Nope. The reviews, which I read AFTER we left, are 100% accurate! I can handle gross bathrooms. Pee, wash your hands, and leave. The end. So honestly I didn't notice that the bathrooms were much worse than your average dirty truck stop/gas station bathroom. But I watched several people enter the restroom just to turn around again and announce they were holding it until the next stop. The line for food was very long and took a long time. The cashier didn't seem to know what was going on, so we simplified our order just to make it easier on them. It was still incorrect, as one of the sandwiches was completely the wrong one. They ordered a remake- and then proceeded to remake the same wrong sandwich. The third attempt was the correct sandwich, but didn't seem thoroughly cooked. The food didn't taste good (I usually like Jack in the Box food). People who had already paid for their orders were giving up and leaving after not getting their food. The Coke machine was out of Coke. The dining room was dirty. The trash can was overflowing. Even the bin with the ketchup packets was nasty- there was sticky yellow crap all over the packets. Manager bad costumer service while driving back from San Francisco with my kids and a friend, we stopped by a Jack in the Box to rest and order food. The first thing we did was interact with an employee named Julio, who they said was the manager. He treated us very rudely. I asked for hot water after my kids and my friend had ordered food. Julio told me he wouldn't charge me for the water but would charge me for the cup. ( I holding my stomach because I had an upset stomach.) However, he still wasn't nice. He even forgot to place my friend's order. I went to the front cashier and told Julio, "You know what, you're so rude and you don't even smile." He replied, "You're not paying attention?" I told him, "I asked you for water, but you refused to give it to me, not even considering that I am with kids. You are so disrespectful and rude in front of the kids and a woman." One of the employees, Jacqueline, along with another lady, went above and beyond by offering me water when I got a panic attack and started shaking inside the Jack in the Box. I told them my blood pressure went up, but the manager was so disrespectful to me and the kids. I shared with them that before I owned a business, I worked at Popeyes and treated people kindly, unlike their manager, who was so rude and not even apologetic. I don't know how it's legal to serve food and not have a bathroom available for customer use, but they had the restrooms completely blocked at this location with trash cans preventing anyone from entering the restrooms. It's clearly a stop where travelers are looking for a rest stop while they grab something to eat, so I'm not sure how they intend to keep this location open when they lack such basic services, perhaps because they don't pay their workers enough to keep a full staff. Would avoid and go to the next stop on the freeway. Corporations should not be able to get away with violating these kinds of basic provisions. read more

However, they never call you back even when you say you want them to. I have never received a call back and all the years I've done this from Jack-in-the-Box. We told the cashier but he just said "yeah I don't think that air-conditioning working." we were attacked by tiny flies as we entered the restaurant once inside there was just as many flies inside is outside. Industry prices. Quality: standard for jack n the box. The burger was not smashed or lop-sided. Ambiance/atmosphere: double doors to block out the wide. That's a plus. The layout of the interior is beautiful with circle tables, high for standing or stool, small square tables, counters. Etc. The area of the drink lids was dirty so no five stars. Honestly I expect some trash on the tables left by customers in a fast moving fast food place. It's only a matter of how long it stays there, for me. The beverage area, though, is a common area. My original stop here was to use the rest room. Air dryers (no paper towels). Minor tagging. Service: its fast food. My order was fast. My cashier was Shayla. She was a trainee. She was fast and polite, got my order right and asked all the necessary questions (small, medium, or large/regular or curly fries). Staff: professionals. I guess a couple of big differences between my experience here and others was that there was no long line or crowded. The other was that without the crowd there was no major trash problem. Stopped by on my way to my parents house and it was great! The employees were quick, and kind, and the food was served quickly. The inside wasn't the cleanest, but what can you expect, it is fast food. The bathrooms were easily accessible and very clean. Asked for a special made grilled chicken sandwich and they came through !. The communication between employees is excellent!. They made the food very quickly as well. The staff does their best to keep the restaurant clean, despite being short staffed, there are messy people who seem to have trouble placing their trash in the trash bins ‍‍ Other than that, they are fantastic!. I was so busy checking my burger because it was such a difficult concept to understand that I wanted a cheese burger with ketchup and onions only. I didn't notice I didn't get my drink or napkins! I think this is a typical Jack in the Box. We found the place clean and convenient. However, it is a little tricky getting in when coming down the I5 Grapevine hill. The tricky part is trying to get your vehicle in the far right lane between all the trucks coming down in time to make the exit. There wasn't a lot of staff and probably needed another body or two to help the customers. I had to wait a little bit before my order could be taken while the cashier finished up the orders for a couple customers ahead of me. He was a little difficult to understand because he was in such a routine. I ordered the cheeseburger to go and wasn't too pleased. The meat is tiny, tiny and not what I expected but what can I say. Gotta hand it to the team, in the middle of chaos with the I-5 being closed and all cars stopping here to grab food they were able to get all our food out very quickly. Staff was very polite and no mistakes were made on our order. I believe Daphne was acting manager and I gotta say she handled the chaos very well. Someone give this girl a raise!
