The vanilla powdered shaker was empty this morning at the bar where you get sugar, milk, etc. and I asked the young girl who walked up to clean the area if she had more to refill it. She replied, no I'm cleaning and restocking! BIG SMILE!!! Ok, my blonde is out of a bottle, so restocking means your going to refill the damn thing!! SMH!!! Always rude responses and SMILES! Wow! A number of years ago this Starbucks was fantastic. But it has really gone downhill. I went in one recent evening a little after 6 pm and all of the food in the displays was gone. It was so sad... I wondered if they were having some serious supply chain issues. When I asked them what was going on they told me that they have food but they put it away and I just needed to read the labels and I could tell them what I want. Lol!!! For real?? I told them that I want to see what they have, and what it looks like to make my decision. Plus most people will see that it's empty and not even ask for anything. I think they start to close the store down many hours before they actually close. I cannot imagine that the GM of that store would be OK with this behavior. They were also sassy about it. This Starbucks always is busy, but clean and friendly to quick service as well as Internet patrons. However, today with the outside temperature hovering above 105°F my sister was asked to leave the restaurant with her small King Cavelier spaniel.She was meeting me for a quick coffee and visit on her way from Southlake to Tyler. I took our Frappechinos and cake outside and sat in the car. I understand pet rules, but really- can you be a bit flexible. It's another review of a Starbucks for me. I've probably been to 50 different ones in my time, but I'm sure I'm not even in the top 10,000 in terms of number of Starbucks visited. I was attracted to this one because it's in the same center as one of my favorite restaurants (Terra, formerly Ali Baba). After getting my meat on for lunch, it's nice to get a caffeine hit to stay awake in the afternoon back at the office. Anyway, this location does not have a drive through, so if that's an issue, seek out another location. It's pretty generous inside, and is nicely appointed. They made my iced coffee wrong the first time (too much cream), but they rectified it with a smile. The second one was what I expect from Starbucks, delicious. Parking can be hard here at lunch, as you're competing with a number of good nearby restaurants, so good luck if you're wanting to park there during lunch. It'd be great if you wanted to park with your laptop for some work or electronic relaxation with a cuppa, though. read more

I am good with Starbucks but I love their new deal with AT&T for free wi-fi. This location is already set up even though a lot of the country doesn't start until July 1. It is really nice. This location is good and the rest is traditional Starbucks. The people were nice and my coffee was hot and good. I just get a Tall drip coffee and not any of the iced drinks or complicated ones so I don't know about them but there coffee is good. read more

I ordered a Venti Passion Tea sweetened with two equals, easy ice, not a complicated order by any means....the associate asks me in a very snarky tone "so you want it without lemonade?!" Last time I checked, passion tea is its own beverage, so I made sure to verify that I'm ordering passion tea, and again, in the same snarky tone replies "it's lemonade, so what do you want, the tea with or without lemonade?!" I received my order, and this is what I got. Literally the EXACT opposite of what I ordered. I didn't even bother correcting it, especially with how the first conversation went. However, there have been multiple instances, including one this week, where I have placed a mobile order and either had my order be lost, or only given part of it. I don't typically rate Starbucks as honestly; we all know what to expect. BUT this one needs upper management intervention STAT! I was in the Irving area for work and staying at the Nylo hotel, which is close by. On two separate occasions, I stopped at this Starbucks for my morning coffee and oatmeal and no lie, 30 and 38 minutes respectively from order to coffee/oatmeal delivery. Let me preface this review by saying this is NOT about the workers as they were pleasant the entire time while working their asses off, in the face of many unpleasant customers I might add. First and foremost, they are completely understaffed for the amount of traffic this store attracts. Secondly, the pickup location is in the back of the store, near the bathrooms, and there is no place for people to stand and wait. Thirdly, there is one or two, but think one, espresso machine. Management have you looked at the number of orders you're processing per day??? Get it together people and give your workers some logistical help! Don't bother paying for a grande anything - they're filling their cups half full and the rest with foam.

Pretty fast service although it gets very crowded during the day, so I would recommend ordering through the app and getting your coffee extra hot. Because it's so busy, the trash is always full, which is a pet peeve of mine. read more

Painfully slow. Avoid during peak times in the morning, unless you're fine with a 15 minute wait for drip coffee. They usually have a team of 4 working here: 2 doing their jobs fine, 1 at the register and 1 at the espresso machine 2 additional employees doing menial tasks in the background instead of helping move the line when it's bad, which is really inexcusable I've been to this place many times and it's a pattern here. read more

Very busy place. Normal Starbucks in some ways, but not up to their historic standards. Couple of things stood out in comparison to other Starbucks: No decaf. Since it is later in the day, wanted half decaf and half pikes place. No go. Disappointment. The barista was not knowledgable about her coffee being served. Gold Coast is a new one for me, advertised as stout and refined. What does stout imply? I like a strong yet smooth blend, Italian Roast for example. I don't care for a sharp acid flavor. She just stood there and smiled, said she had no idea. Only two people behind the counter for such a large busy place. Flies buzzing around, landing on my hair and beverage. Very convenient location at MacArthur and John W. Carpenter, with tons of parking and easy parking lot in/out access either back onto MacArthur or the freeway frontage road. You would expect this Starbucks, given its location and seemingly large commuter business, that they would have outfitted it with a drive-through, alas there isn't one. Interior space is ample and there are plenty more tables and seating areas than many other Starbucks. I felt that while the cashiers working the register were very efficient and friendly, that the very consistently long line during the morning rush is indicative of a need for another 'Bucks in the area, as this one is kind of an island, given the part of town in which it's located. Also, I can't give more than 3 stars due to consistent barista slowness in prep/delivery of drinks, which causes a secondary backup after you've waited in a long line to place your drink order. Alas, I am a Starbucks zombie (or a zombie without my Starbucks), so I simply adjusted my schedule for my second visit here to arrive earlier to allow for the long ordering line and long drink pickup queue, without jeopardizing my AM meeting punctuality. Sometimes you just gotta adjust and adapt to get your 'Bucks fix. And please, when it's the morning rush, and there are 20 other bleary-eyed people waiting for their caffeine/pastry fix, don't order 10 uber-customized espresso drinks. read more

I've been drinking coffee since I was 5 years old. My parents told me not to... because the caffeine would stunt my growth... and then they'd turn around and hand me a coke. I'd drink the coke. And when they weren't looking, mix up my own hot cup of the good ol' brew... cuz you know, the best part of waking up ... was coffee in my cup. Great... now I'm reminiscing! I was anti-Starbucks for long time. Does any one remember Coffee Haus? I was a devout proponent of Coffee Haus. In the summers I'd down eskimochas with chocolate sprinkles on top and in the winters, I toasted my goosebumps with their delicious hot cocoa. Well, the Starbucks giant put them out of business. And bought up their locations. And I digress... but the point is I love coffee enough to forgive Starbucks and happily consume their goods. This location is bigger than average with plenty of seating and free WIFI like all the rest. The baristas are great and despite the size of the storefront, they shout your name loud enough for you to hear so you don't have to hover at the counter. Things I especially enjoy are the white chocolate mochas, the chai latte, the cinnamon dolce, the lemon pound cakes, the artisan sandwiches, the extra shots of hazelnut, the holiday specials, the caramel frappuccinos in the summertime... if only they had chocolate sprinkles!!! Timely, friendly, consistent, wonderful! I think I've rated this place before, but I wanted to leave an additional review. These folks here are fantastic! I've been coming to this location almost 2 years and after a 6 month hiatus, I was able to start coming here again. Specifically, Caitlyn and Erin are the BEST! They remembered me and ALWAYS go out of their way to greet me with a smile on their faces! Thank you for making my morning routine that much better. Even when the line is out the door, they rarely have an issue getting orders knocked out for folks. Keep it up! Hooray for this location. For some reason, whenever I try to meet my sister in Irving (kind of our half way point), we always have issues. Today we tried a local place, that randomly closed early today. Then we tried a different Starbucks- not tables available. Then we came here- Hallelujah! This location has quite a bit of seating inside, which would make it a great spot for remote working or meeting if it wasn't bordering on being an echoic chamber. Otherwise, the service is always fast, friendly without slowing down the rhythm, and seems to be one of the first to roll out new offerings. If you go between 7-8am (especially on Fridays) and haven't wised up to the new "order ahead" function through the app, be prepared to wait in a line that's easily 20 people deep. Edit: now if only they could fine-tune the process of order-ahead PICKUP... trying to make eye contact with one of the baristas to snag my coffee that I can see sitting on a shelf just out of reach can take almost as long as standing in the damn line... read more

Unfortunately, this place is ALWAYS busy and it's almost difficult to find a seat inside especially during peak hours. The lines are long and the mobile app orders are even slow because they get backed up with so many drink orders. Baristas are always busy but friendly. Love that it is so close to home and they make me a mean caramel brulee soy latte. Don't be in a hurry here though and expect to wait in line. Also at this location there's no drive thru. However there's plenty of comfy chairs inside and it is always bustling with people with their laptops working. This is one of the larger Starbucks I frequent when at our Irving office before work or during lunch when in the area. While they're consistently busy during morning/lunch rush, they're also appropriately staffed and quick to get orders out. Plus the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, never seem to get frazzled with so many questions and orders coming at them! Lots of seating indoors to the point I haven't had trouble finding a seat if I have time to chill with my iced coffee. There are a couple of tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk, but not your typical patio setting. The parking in front of the store is currently under construction, adding to the parking mayhem during busier weekday periods. Not sure how much traffic they generate on weekends but due to location, imagine they stay pretty busy! read more

The reason I gave it 5 stars was simply because of the speed they are able to move this long line through. I'd rate this location less than one star if I could. Incompetence runs rampant here. I work extremely close to this location, which is why I continue to torture myself giving it try after try. I have never had to complain so much to Starbucks (corporate) to get refunds on drinks made incorrectly, or not at all. If you have less than an hour lunch break, do not even attempt going here. I was unable to get in and out in 30 minutes (on lunch break) with a simple "black coffee" today. Unacceptable. read more
