Yes, sometimes in the morning the line can be long, but it's a coffee shop. What makes this place so great is its staff. No matter how busy, early, late it is everyone is always smiling and nice. This morning when I was there my phone had died and when I asked for one of the Chargers they told me all of them were currently in use, but they had some for sale. I told them I was ok, and they apologized for the inconvenience. Less than two minutes later the manager came over, opened one of the Chargers for sale and let me use it to. Barge my dead phone. This kindness and putting their customers first is why I always choose this Starbucks over others. read more

I try not to write reviews for large chains such as this since most of them pretty much are the same. But after going to many different Starbucks in the area, this one is my favorite. I go here on my way to work because it's conveniently located off the 405. (It's located across from Chase) It's spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The times I go (usually early noon), I'm always able to go in, place my order, and get my drink. As I've mentioned, I stop here before I go to work, so I usually don't have much time to wait around. Our neighborhood Starbucks, and so convenient on the weekends. We've lived in the area for about 3 years now and make it down to Starbucks at least once every weekend at the beginning of our early morning walk with the dog. They have one star employee who has always been a delight to talk to, and her name is Andi (may be wrong spelling). Quite possibly the most charming Starbucks I have ever visited. I've been here a few times to pick up a drink before work and to study, and despite coming here during prime hours, I have always managed to find a seat and relax for a bit. I do think this is one of the better Starbucks in existence, as far as location, pleasantness, and accessibility.

I have never seen a Starbucks so well staffed but with such poor time management. On any given day, they have about 5+ staff; however, there are only 1-2 staff up front taking and filling the orders. From my understanding, there should always be at least 3 staff up front including an expediter to keep the speed of service up to par. Also, if there is a line, there is no reason for 1-2 of the staff members to be taking inventory and restocking the front. The staff here are not particularly warm or friendly and frankly, it's more of a hassle than it's worth to come to this location. read more

Great and friendly service at this location. Josh, Tara, Sahar (?-sorry), Valerie and the other baristas are great. The drinks are always made well and are for the most part timely. This is our standard weekend location and can get busy sometimes but for the most part we greatly enjoy it. If you get in past 9 it seems to get a little too crazy of a line. I am posting this because this has become consistent on Most of my latte orders. 3 out of 4 times to be exact. I always order no foam and soy milk. Lately They are a 1/4 foam and today they literally filled the cup with All foam. This is absolutely ridiculous and incredibly frustrating. I actually went back to Starbucks this morning to have them remake my latte to prove a point. And I guess it ticked them Off because they used regular milk instead of soy for the replacement order. I don't want to go another Starbucks when this one is across the street from my house. Take your job seriously, stop cheating us with foam drinks and make the orders correctly. read more

I love Starbucks. Probably spend at least $50/week at minimum + treating my team to coffee and snacks from here at least once a month. This particular Starbucks is by far the slowest. On average, whether I'm the only person in the store or there's a line, expect anywhere from 6 to 15 minutes for a simple grande Cold brew. Even mobile orders take 8+ minutes for the most simple order, a grande cold brew. read more

I used to love this Starbucks. I've lived in Quail Hill for 10 years and frequent this one at least 3 days a week. Lately though, service has gone down the tubes! Because I don't like waiting in line, I started using the mobile app to pre-order. It was working fine until the last 2 times. Both times there were issues. The system didn't even print my order ticket one time and the other time, it took forever to get my order and the rude barista didn't help things. I'm going to boycott this Starbucks and try another coffee shop until they get their act together. Management, I hope you are reading this and decide maybe it's time to hire more baristas so that we don't spend 10 min waiting in line for coffee. I know you probably want to maximize profitability but at the same time you're going to lose business if you guys decide to keep service at the level it is now. read more

I go to this location because it is so conveniently located near my home, but it is grudgingly. The line is so long and the people there are unbelievably slow for starbucks workers. I try to avoid having to spend time in this location by ordering on-line, but even that doesn't work. I can place an on-line order and come in 10 minutes later and STILL not have my items ready. Let me begin by saying that up until about 3 months ago, I worked in the food industry. I've been a server, a host, a runner-even a barista! So I'm saying, from experience in the industry, this is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to and there is absolutely zero reason for it. I've tried this location multiple times and there hasn't been a single time something hasn't gone wrong, but it's convenient when I'm stopping for gas anyways and really, a cup of coffee having a little too much sugar or them having to remake because they gave me the wrong size isn't a big deal. They're minor inconveniences. Today's experience changed all that and ensured I will never go to this Starbucks again. I arrived over an hour before work and my office is seven or eight minutes away-fifteen in traffic-and I figured, no big deal, I'll have plenty of time. BOY WAS I WRONG. To begin with, I waited in line-without moving at all-for at least eight or nine minutes while the barista chatted with a regular about their college class. By this point, the line behind me was spilling out the door. We finally moved, ridiculously slowly, and I reached the counter twenty minutes into my visit. Well, I thought, I had an hour left before work. Twenty minutes isn't even a dent, I'll just get my coffee and head on over. Of course, then I proceeded to ask for what I wanted and had to reconfirm it three times for the girl behind the counter. The man working the other register was, again, chatting with a regular. She confirmed my order-a simple frapp and a cookie to go, I paid, and that should have been the end of it. So then I stood around for another twenty-five minutes waiting for my drink. There were two people making drinks and they seemed to be making them together one at a time. Ten customers collecting drinks-some of them who came in after I did-later, I finally get called for my drink and it's wrong. It's actually so wrong it's wholly indistinguishable from what I ordered. Normally, I'm pretty relaxed about this. I don't generally send incorrect orders back at all, actually. But today I was a little frustrated because this location has never gotten a single order right and when it's unrecognizable from what I ordered, it's a little much to deal with. So I politely asked for a new drink and apologized for the inconvenience. Then I waited another eleven minutes for it to be remade-still wrong, but close enough that I didn't care anymore. Out of curiosity on why the drinks were taking so long, I glanced over the counter while grabbing a straw. The baristas were taking turns putting together one drink at a time-so the other one could take time to text. At this point, I was appalled by the service and just ready to leave. I walked out without even thinking to check that the other part of my order-the cookie-was correct. (Spoiler alert: it wasn't.) It wasn't until I got to the office that I looked in the bag and realized the cookie I bought as a treat for a coworker was one she can't even eat-they gave me the wrong kind of cookie and since I don't want to watch my best friend go into anaphylactic shock, I figured we should probably skip it. There's no excuse for why they're taking so long. I've handled twice the flow of customers with one person making drinks and one person manning the counter. They had four people and spent so much time and energy on socializing, they couldn't even focus on their jobs. The place is also dirty-not to the point of being unsanitary, but enough that it's noticeable and a little gross. Take my advice-if you're heading into the city for work, swing by the MacArthur and Main Starbucks. They'll have your drink to you exactly right in five minutes or less and even if the line is wrapping around the corner, you can expect to wait for a max of ten to fifteen minutes. If you're going the opposite way, the one off Irvine Center is decent, clean, and efficient, too. Don't waste your time in this suburban purgatory-it only leads to disappointment and frustration. read more

I go to this location fairly regularly as it is close to my work and I must say they have the best service and always make my drink perfect. If you are considering going to the one down the street on Alton near Ralphs I would make the effort to come to this location instead. It will take less time to drive to this one then it would to stand in line forever and order at the Alton one. They are so fast and efficient here at the Quail Hill location. First of all I don't like giving bad reviews because we all have busy days. That being said, I have been to this Starbucks many times because it is a convenient location, and I have consistently gotten extremely slow service due to distracted baristas. Wait times are alway bad here. While waiting I have watched a barista step away for a phone call that seemed to take forever, one that was too into her conversation to be bothered with the long line of orders, and today's straw was the barista that stopped working so that she could yell across the coffee shop for a friend to come over to talk. These are just the times that surprised me, not to mention the general slow service compared to other locations. Now I am all for socializing when time permits, but if I'm waiting 2-3 times longer than any other location and I see this kind of consistent distraction something is wrong. I go to this Starbucks every week after having dinner at O Fine. The baristas here are consistently good and the staff is very friendly.

This is one of the most inefficient Starbucks I have yet to encounter... It doesn't matter if there are two people line or 10 people in line you can guarantee a 20 minute process just to get a cup of coffee! They need to form a better assembly line or find more efficient ways to handle it why because I've seen other Starbucks handle a rush with Grace and this Starbucks seems to crash and burn every time not to mention getting everyone's orders wrong in the process. Most of time your mobile order is never ready even you placed your order some minutes earlier than your arrival time. I ordered Grande Green tea latte, and all i got is light green colored, 80% of ice-filled. I started getting rid of some ice from my cup, cuz i knew that your grande drink will be only 4 sips and done! After taking out quite a lot of ice, my drink was less than half of grande cup(still with some ice). I asked Barista to make it more to fill up little more in my cup.(man~ i don't want to pay $4.50 for 4sips of drink! ) He took my cup and pour my left over drink to mixer, pour just more milk(no match powder at all!!)mixed and gave back to me. Now my green tea latte is very light light green color and taste very light green tea. And the reason why you order through mobile order is you don't want to waste your time waiting for your drink. I spent another 10minutes in there and made my time and money wasted(esp after work, and you tried to go home! ). I will go back to my usual starbucks at irvine center drive. This one is the Worst starbucks ever! And customer service also! When i nicely asked them to make again, they didn't say anything or even smile it. I know a lot of people have been frustrated with this Starbucks in the morning but I can't really complain the times I've been here randomly in the afternoon. Once in a blue moon, you can observe some of the employees taking their dandy time prepping your drink. I've never gotten poorly made frappucinos or anything of that sort. This Starbucks is pretty ambient mid-afternoon, I always see a few people on their laptops doing work and such. In the case it gets too crowded, there's an outdoor area with nice lounging chairs. I swear every time I come here I promise myself I will never come again. Went in and ordered a Venti Pike and a pupaccino for my little dog who I had waiting outside by himself. I know you're not supposed to bring dogs inside the restaurant and it is actually illegal here in California so I respect that. Although we all know that many people do bring dogs inside the restaurant against Starbucks rules and local laws. I ordered and paid for the coffee and the pupaccino And by the way this is the only Starbucks I never been to that actually charges me for a little extra whip cream. And the cashier told me it would be several minutes before I can get the whip cream because there were several drinks ahead of it I told him my dog was tied up outside and I couldn't wait that long inside the restaurant. He said there was nothing he could do so I told him to "forget it" and I walked out. How long does it take to squirt a little whip cream in a cup? Three seconds four seconds maybe five seconds at the most? It takes one to two minutes to make a drink. Why couldn't they just put the whip cream in a cup knowing I had a dog tied up outside by himself. It just shows a lack of common sense and customer service. Not a single person would've noticed any difference in their wait time if that whip cream would have been done first. But it would've meant a lot to me and my dog. read more
