Despite years of being an avid Starbucks fan, I have to say that this location (as well as another one on 27th Ave) are the two worst locations ever. When we entered the person who was taking the order didn't even let us hit the counter before he robotically stated, "what is your order" and "is there anything else"? He said this around 10 times as there were three people in our group. What was worse was no eye contact when I asked him a question and he continued to touch an earphone despite this location not having a drive through. Things got a bit tense when I told him it was my birthday for my free drink and he told me that I "should" have told him this at the beginning. People don't like asking for their drinks to be remade because some baristas respond with attitude--and that was the case here. The barista with dark hair and facial hair seemed annoyed even though I was polite and tried to lighten the mood. It's not a big deal to remake a drink when a customer is respectful. I was greeted when I walked in, which was nice. But the guy that took my order, Aaron, was extremely rude. In the beginning of explaining the drink I wanted to order he turns around and grabbed a blender from the running water. I then restarted my order and was given weird looks about my grande coffee with sugar free vanilla and heavy cream. I then asked if nobody has ever ordered that before and he gave another weird look and said no. This stop has a terrific artist that draws fun ads on their boards and great service. I like stopping by on my way to my in-laws house. We can get coffee and then go hang out. They have tons of shaded outdoor seating and plugs for indoor seating. There is a long community table and little two seaters. I like the *bar* seating myself. This is a great stop. read more

I haven't been to this location in months and I wish I didn't go there today. When I ordered the women at the register was a real biatch. It was obvious that she hates her job. I felt like how dare you come in and bother me to place an order. When I asked for a receipt she glared at me like WTF. She tore it off and I never got as much as a hello or goodbye. The bathroom door doesn't lock the knob will not stay pressed in. So after using the restroom and was walked in on twice I returned to the pickup counter to receive my coffee a food order. And to my surprise I had to deal with another rude employee. The young man not pleasant and didn't call my name out for the order because the rude cashier didn't ask for one. So I waited and waited and after a number of people picked up I asked if the drink on counter is mine. He replied yes by not making eye contact. You tell them the order like mine (venti iced coffee with classic, vanilla and cream) and guess what it's perfect every time! That's crazy bc a lot of other location will say this "you sure u want that?" Why why question it. And I always get a cute little note on my cup. This is by far one of my favorite Starbucks locations. It is near my dad's house so we stop here whenever we are going to see him. I love the layout, especially the outdoor patio area. Plenty of shade and seating. Been here several times and they have always gotten my drink and my name right. Every employee I have interacted with here has been friendly and nice. Very sociable. What a disappointment. I visit the establishment weekly with friends. We are very disappointed with the cleanliness of the patio. The patio was built for the customers who pay $5 per cup of coffee to enjoy it outdoors. Today was not unlike any other day bird poop is everywhere. The tables, chairs and the concrete is coated with bird crap. The manager of the establishment should have the patio washed off with a hose daily knowing that the birds poop daily. We also wonder how bad the back of the house is considering no attention is taken in the front of the house. Very, sad such a nice establishment in a nice area. read more

Love Starbs and always enjoy their drinks. I've already had the lavender oat milk latte a handful of times and LOVED it. I ordered from this location and was given my drink with the powder just sitting at the bottom of the cup. I asked what it was and was told it was the powder and that's how it comes. Not only is that not how it's advertised but not how I've received it the handful of times before. I was told to just stir it in. I asked if it could be remade the right way and the barista looked at me and snatched the drink while rolling her eyes. I got a new drink... with no lavender at all. Very disappointed in this location and service. I understand mistakes happen however the customer service was not good. If a drink is made incorrectly you should be able to get it remade with no attitude and get the correct drink you paid for. read more

This is pretty funny - so I reviewed this place back in 2010 and an ex-employee (the guy who I placed the review about) commented on my review which I refuse to post. But in a nutshell he said if I didn't get caramel in my drink then I probably didn't need it any way? Hahaha! Why would they have a caramel frap without the caramel? Wouldn't I order something else? I mean I know I don't "need" caramel in my drink but that's the purpose of ordering a caramel frap. Wow! Maybe that's the reason he no longer works there? If you work at place where the recipe calls for sugar then it's probably best that you put sugar in the recipe. Oh and he also said that Arizona doesn't move 100 mph like California. I don't understand what that has to do with making my drink? I was the only one there waiting on a drink - he had no other orders, so it takes longer than 15 minutes to make an incorrect frap? Since I moved across the street I have been visiting this Starbucks daily. They truly have the most courteous staff reminiscent of the good old days of the non hurried baristas. Inviting, clean, orderly store. The pastries and food items are always fresh, outdoor seating is nice also. The staff really make the whole experience exceptional. If I am a little ways aways and craving a cold brew I will wait until I get close to home to pop into my favorite Starbucks ever! The service is terrible here! I come because it's so close and I need a coffee fast but don't expect customer service to be a priority! It's also always messy and dirty, out of napkins and straws. $5 for a cup of coffee, it should be made that way I like it and a smile?! Not everyone is rude here but majority rules. This place is literally in walking distance from me making it unfathomably irresistible to try, so I did. The million dollar question is, how does this Starbucks differ from the rest? It is a chain after all. Well I'll tell you. After its recent remodel it's one of the nicest in the valley, as well as one of the cleanest, with one of the nicest staff. Whether you're sitting inside or out, it's enjoyable. It seems the main complaint here on Yelp from others is the "smokers." Well I personally don't think the staff has the time and energy to constantly check on this issue as they make coffee. The best thing they can do is put up signs. Maybe you, the patron should suggest something to the smokers you are vehemently eyeing. :P read more

This has to be the SLOWEST Starbucks I have ever been to. This is not my first interaction with this store. This store has let me down more than once. I placed an online order 15 minutes prior to arriving and order was still incomplete. Order should have taken 7-8. After going inside still waited over 5 additional minutes. Okay if you are a smoker, prepare to be offended. I drive by this Starbucks Coffee often and it looks perfect from a distance. The misters are going full force putting out billows of mist. The grass is a lush green and the plants around it give it a tropical feel. The deck is amazing with about 20 tables that seat 2-5 people each. The tables have umbrellas and shade trees above them and the place is ducked back out of the way of the general public - away from the hustle and bustle - in its own little private oasis. But upon closer approach, it begins to loose its charming appeal. As I got closer, I noticed that the billows of mist were not solely mist but more like billows of cigarette smoke, and the odor confirmed it. As I was walking from my car and even before I got to the pavement, I began to smell the scent of tobacco and addiction. I gave it a shot though. I coughed my way across the deck looking for a seat that was not located next to the smokers, but there were none. Oh, there were seats available, but the deck was filled with addicts sucking away at their poison and ignorantly blowing it into my air. No, no place for a non-smoker or anyone who is semi-health conscious. But this is a place of vices - after all, it is coffee - caffeine and another form of addiction so - really - what else should I have expected? The deck and all of the beauty outside literally disappeared behind a giant wall of smoke, and the smell was horrible. I quickly walked inside where I could breathe without taking years off of my life, and it was okay inside. There were a few comfy looking couches, a few wooden tables with wooden seats and one long bench area with tables. It worked. I was comfortable. The coffee bar was small. They did not have Stevia, but they did have chocolate and cinnamon and Splenda. I did not see computers so idk if they had wifi. The inside was not very peaceful and I found myself wishing I could sit outside. It looks like the smokers dominate this place. I will not go back. I would love to be able to sit outside and feel that I should be able to without breathing in all the poison and stink - but like I said, it is a place of vices. If you smoke, you should really like it. They even have live music outside sometimes. I was disappointed and did not stay. I left to go get a movie and went home smelling like an ash tray - not very attractive at all - which was especially bad considering this was a date night. read more

I usually go here for an after dinner cappuccino or when my mom is visiting since she loves her Starbucks! Everytime we've been here it has been not busy at all and the staff was always in the front cleaning or waiting to take orders. One day I was feeling extraordinarily brazen and had my boyfriend grab me a breakfast sandwich. It was delicious! I'm not usually a morning person so I'm not too sure what it's like at peak breakfast rush but after dinner it's always a very chill atmosphere. The outside area is pretty nice, I always see people sitting there talking and relaxing. The straw/napkin area is always pretty nicely stocked and every time I go in there's always an employee sweeping! Some of the workers there have gotten my boyfriend's name wrong a couple times but it's pretty funny seeing what they write and since the establishment is always empty when we go it's not an issue! A nice start to the day This Starbucks is not my usual stop however, it just might be my favorite. I love my coffee and what's better then a Starbucks iced white chocolate mocha, I can't think of anything and vanilla scone. The service at this Starbucks is phenomenal and the staff are always very friendly. This location is clean, inviting, and feels comfortable and they have seating outside at the patio, and wuth this cooler weather what a perfect option. My coffee was made exactly the way I order and tasted great. In addition, to the great coffee Starbucks has delicious pastries if you need a snack. I really enjoy grabbing a cake pop or two to go. Great coffee, pastries, friendly staff, and shopping. It doesn't get any better. read more

Bad location for many reasons. Parking is inadequate. There's nowhere near enough seating for the volume that this place has. There's not enough room to accommodate the morning line to order. Consistent like most Starbucks locations are, however not as appealing to those of us who prefer black coffee because they no longer rotate the coffee varietal in the drip. I've been going to this Starbucks for many years now and thoroughly enjoy going there to get my coffee fix. While I'll agree that the parking can be a bit challenging during peak times I will say there is plenty of parkiing if you don't mind a short walk from the adjacent bank parking lot. As for the patio - I do not agree with the review that it is a smoky nightmare...haha - I have sat out there plenty of times with my family (including small kids) and have not had a hard time breathing. I've been coming to this Starbucks for over a decade now since it has the best outside seating of any coffee shop on this side of town. There are several unplanned groups of regulars who meet here most days of the week and a lot of smaller groups and individuals from the pharmacy college nearby who come to study. Quite a few friendly people and pretty girls. It's a nice place to hang out and drink and there's almost always an off-duty or uniformed police officer somewhere inside grabbing a drink. The staff is always friendly and knows your drink after just a couple visits. The recent renovations are also an improvement but it still definitely doesn't have enough seating sometimes. The patio outside used to be really bad because of smokers. So bad that I stopped coming here for a long time. They've mostly clamped down on people smoking now but people smoke outside after dark when the staff doesn't check anymore and there and even during the day, people cheat the system by standing just outside the fence to keep talking to their friends while they smoke, defeating the whole purpose of the smoking ban. Continued smoking irritation is the only reason it's not getting. 5 stars. If they fixed that, it'd be a great place. Start serving beer and I'd never leave. read more

This has been a local haunt since I we a kid. I've been coming here for over ten years and still enjoy it (I feel old). I like trying new places instead of just going to Starbucks all the time but it's close, wifi is always available, and it's open pretty late so why not come here? People are nice here and you see the same friendly faces, which is great. They renovated a few years ago and the design looks so much better. I can barely remember what it looked like before. The barista, Riley, was very patient with my younger daughter and we appreciated her suggestions for new drinks--vanilla bean frap with peppermint flavor and chocolate chips. Yum!!
