Then again, I'm glad I did because while they were packed ingredients, they were on the small side. What other restaurant gives you the option of flour, corn or homemade corn tortillas? Did I have any other choice but to order the latter? Unfortunately, one fell apart, it was so stuffed with goodness, but I won't hold that against them. The meats were all unique and delicious. I was the most confused by the smoked beef. It reminded me of some meat I had in Italy that was black but not charred and melted when I bit into it. I don't need to experience that again, but I could eat the other traditionally tender and flavorful versions daily. The three-taco combo comes two sides. I almost ordered fries but when I shifted to beans and rice, out of fairness to tradition, I got a nod of approval. But, I have a feeling I would have gotten one no matter what I did, because of patience and kindness of these Lost Burro folks. The rice was middling but those beans - didn't taste as though they'd ever seen the inside of a can. Thick, rich and flavorful. I ordered a side of consume, just because it was bone broth, and I hadn't seen that before. It was tasty, but I realized more prefer a red broth with big chunks of stewed beef. I will judge you unkindly if you give me a Jamaica that is just one step up from Koolaid. We also tried Mel an Libby's Soul Food Truck. We ordered the fish and shrimp combo with a side of Mac 'n' cheese...........The shrimp were ok but in a either non seasoned or almost unseasoned batter.....My husband asked (maybe Libby?) for cocktail sauce but she didn't give him any......but then things go down hill.......The fish was fishy tasting and chewy.......(YUK!) Sadly the Mac 'n' cheese can win a prize for worst in the world.....I consider the fish and the macaroni and cheese to be substandard. We had to throw away most of this $23.50 away. We ended our Food Truck outing with Mr Softea and that was surprisingly good and cheap ($2 small & $3 large cups of soft serve with sprinkles) I didn't notice any hand washing area so bring some hand sanitizer.

The menu is pretty simple, like most street taco joints, other than they also have a lot of breakfast burrito options available. Is it the BEST taco in Arizona? No. But they have little tables for you to sit at. with salt and pepper on them and they bring red & green sauces out to you. Kayla was our waitress and she was friendly, saying that the AZ burrito was her fave, so that's the one we got, although we haven't tried it quite yet. We tried the steak, birria, el pastor, the el pastor combo, and I ordered the Queso Birria combo. My combo was Amazing. It comes fresh and hot with 3 delish tacos and the dipping juices with fresh lemon. The pintos have great flavor, too. They have a lot of options. The staff was friendly and fast. We did not wait long at all. They also offer churros. They were yummy, my only thought was, they could use a bit more sugar. For drinks they had sprite and coke in the can. It was pretty convenient that they came as a community dinner night for my daughter's apartment community. We were heading to the pool and decided to try the tacos. It was supper convenient and delish. We hope the community will invite Ruby's again. The sun was going down and the sunset was gorgeous.
