Don't go to this one on Sundays. The new staff has messed up our orders consistently. Sad this is, this location was one of our favorites.

I came here on a Saturday morning with my son to meet up with a friend. It was bustling and pretty loud but, well, it's a Saturday morning at a Starbucks! The barista was super sweet and friendly! Our drinks were delicious and prepared quickly! There was a 4 person wheelchair designated table near the front that wasn't being used so the three of us sat there. Of course if someone in a wheelchair came in we'd give them that table immediately. I love this location in Somerset Square. There are upscale shops around and it's nice to have a Starbucks nearby for a drink and a rest. read more

First time at this location .... I love the peace and quite outside and the patio seating under the tree canopy give you the right amount of shade on a sunny afternoon while you sip on the perfectly made frappachino...the barista is super friendly ...Involved me in a random conversation with random ppl just talking random things as if they've known you for ever... The cafe inside is not all that spacious... Seats about 2-3 party ... A visit here during winter times (unless ur picking up a coffee "Togo") is not suggested. read more

Stopped here on a snowy slushy morning to get a little Tuesday pick me up. I don't come to this location very often - but if I lived closer this would definitely be my "go-to" Starbucks. As I entered, Smith jazz played quietly in the background, and I felt the cares of the world melt away as the Starbucks experience took a hold of me. A fairly good size store that has plenty of seating, comfy couches, and outdoor seating for when the weather gets warmer. It was not busy when I arrived and my order was made promptly by some very pleasant Batista's. As I sat down in one of the comfy couches to enjoy my drink, I observed a steady stream of customers, many of whom seemed to be regulars. Drink orders were called out by name and easy small talk was made. I was sad when it was time for me to once again enter the real world - but the great service and comfy atmosphere I experienced will definitely bring me back in the future. read more

The Somerset Square Starbucks is the most pleasant Starbucks I have ever been! The staff are great on characteristics and truly enjoy their job! They follow drink recipes as requested by their guests and never have a problematic response. Their constantly smiling and is genuine despite how busy they are. They move extremely fast and are considerate of their guests prior engagements! Great staff! read more

Been to this Starbucks which is located in the plaza in Glastonbury walking distance of other shops and restaurants. The location is easily accessible from the front and back with parking on both sides. There are usually tables outside on both sides for you to enjoy your coffee or do some work. There is the issue of the sun on storefront side during the afternoon that can make sitting out there painful to state at the sun but other than that not a bad place to watch the cars driving by. The menu is pretty standard with the selection of baked goods, coffee and other drinks. The layout for the store is a little haphazard. With the two doors people don't really line up to order drinks and with such a narrow store not much room to get by easily. The store can benefit from a system to manage the crowds that come here during the busier hours of the day. If you're staying here for a while there are some hightop and regular tables but not many couches that you would find at other places that would give you comfort staying here for a some time. All in all a place to grab a quick drink and move on through. There are many stores for you to explore while you're drinking your latte. read more

I like Starbucks. This place is close and convenient, they know my drink and always make it very well. Sometimes the baristas take a little too long making drinks, but thats what Dunkin Donuts are for. Plus there is no drive-through. But very friendly, and spacious, which is saying good things for a Starbucks. read more

Starbucks is generally a place you go for the atmosphere, or a place you head out of after grabbing your coffee. I've been here for both of these reasons. That said, Starbucks is a large chain, so I'm just going to rate this place for its atmosphere. Regarding atmosphere, this Starbucks is located at the Shops at Somerset Square and is conveniently located next to a chocolate shop. When its a nice day, there's seating outside under the shade of trees (I think) that's in a circle of stores. The inside is quite nice too. I've sat here doing homework a couple times and was able to sit in a corner without being disturbed by people. They also offer their coffee grounds for people to use as fertilizer during the spring/summer months. You'll see it near the back entrance if they have it. read more

This store is located inside the mall. A cozy space inside with spacious seating outside, perfect to sit out on a warm day with their cold coffees. This location is peaceful and not that busy. They don't have drive through. I visit this Starbucks mostly when we stop by the burger place opposite. read more

I don't know that I've seen a more dispassionate Starbucks crew. There must have been 20 people standing inside and outside waiting for drinks. The four people behind the counter could not care less. At no point was there a sense of urgency to bring the guests their drinks. I asked for my cold brew 20 minutes after the designated pick up time. The person behind the counter didn't even look up. Just said she didn't see it and went back to what she was doing. I know it's Christmas Eve. I know you'd rather not be working. I know I'd rather not be either. But we have to. Come on guys. At least be nice and show something that says you're trying! read more

Thanks heavens for this location of Starbucks. 10 yrs ago, this was one of only 4 Starbucks in the Greater Hartford Area. It was horrible, having come from DC where they were one every corner! There was the one downtown, with NO PARKING, which has now closed and is opened up at another impossible to get to location. There was the one in West Hartford, that was ALSO impossible also to find parking for. There was the one in Manchester across from John Harvard's..... That was easier to access but further away. Then....there was this one, which thankfully was a lil bit closer and oh-so-much-easier to access! With actual parking spots! I recently had the one in my neighborhood close down, so it's back to either this location, or the one in Rocky Hill. However....LOL, I no longer need them as much as I did, as Santa brought me a kick ass Super-Automatic Espresso Machine so I can now make my own. However, will still need to visit here for Frappucino fixes in the summer! :oP ps. There are a couple of Dunkin Donuts down the street from me, and you could not pay me enough to drink their fake-ass espresso drinks. YUCK. and the regular coffee has such a bizarre flavor as well. And their donuts are greasy and bagels are unflavored. I don't get the attraction, other than the locations that have the Baskin Robbins attached. Which, those are few and far between in CT. But Baskins does have very good Chocolate Chip Shakes. read more

Small location, but friendly staff. I'm constantly looking for great places to study, and this is one of them. It's in a wonderful location with free parking- both in front in the circle and in back. Pros: Tables aren't sticky - I know that seems trivial, but for someone who's trying to spread out papers and note cards all over the table, this is a huge plus! This is the only Starbucks where I've been able to say this- and it makes a huge difference. Cons: A lot smaller than other Starbucks and can feel a little cramped at times. **Edit* Knocking it down to 3 stars. The unisex bathroom is really not ideal. Also, the baristas tend to get a little loud and chatty. At points continuing their conversations and barely acknowledging new customers who come in. read more

Generally speaking, I prefer Starbucks to Dunkin' Donuts, because their product is always consistent. I have a few go-to drinks at Starbucks (all relatively simple), and they're always made just-right here. The staff at this particular Starbucks is friendly, accommodating and efficient. The only reason I didin't give five stars is because sometimes there's a wait for drinks; but in the end, I'd rather wait a little longer for a drink that's definitely worth the money. read more

Clearly the early afternoon shift needed some coffee. They were less than pleasant and had not one single happy vibe. When ordering our three drinks we had to repeat them three times each to the cashier. Despite my daughter ordering iced coffee she got hot. Not the Baristas fault, it was entered in wrong. I Love Starbucks but this Glastonbury location has gone through so many people and goes up and down regularly. Glastonbury used to be the best spot for coffee, take your cup and walk around the water fountain or whatever, but this location messed up my coffee almost every time I went there in the past few months. It is sad but true. last Friday it took 15 min to get to the window and another 3 min to get the coffee. After paying for an overpriced coffee, waiting forever and yet getting the coffee made without my directions, why bother? The coffee is always good is just the careless staff or lack of communication perhaps. Again unfortunately I love Starbucks but I feel that I should be rewarded for that not punished. read more

Small location in Somerset Square. It's great that it's in this little plaza, can grab a pick-me-up while hitting other shops. The store is pretty narrow through and they don't really have a lot of seating. The day I was there my coffee was made as expected but the baristas seemed nice, but a little slow. I'll go back when I'm in the area. Looks like there are outdoor tables for when the weather is nicer. read more

The employees at this Starbucks are not well trained and do not have great customer service. First of all, I went there a couple weeks ago and the lady completely forgot about my order. I waited around 15 minutes until I said something and she finally made my drink. Then, just today, I made the mistake of going to this same Starbucks and I ordered a Frappuccino and she gave me a watered down liquid with ice cubes. It's like she gave up on making my drink! I prefer the atmosphere of the other Starbucks in town. This is good as well though. It's longer and you can enter from the front or the back. There is limited seating compared to the other store. The staff are friendly and they have a good selection of desserts and foods like any other Starbucks. The size is smaller and there is only one bathroom for all to share. That being said, it's not a deal breaker. Everything is good. One tip: park in the back. It's easier to find parking compared to trying to park in the circle. read more

I was coming to this location every day, since I work in the plaza, but the staff is very rude. So I started using the mobile app to run in and out, on numerous occasions my order was wrong so I told them and they were extremely rude and unprofessional about it. I decided to give them another try today but it will be my last visit here. If you don't want to be polite to customers, do not work in customer service, it's that simple. I would often direct our clients over there but to be quite honest I will tell them to keep their money and either head to a different location or to a different business. read more
