The staff here is awesome. I moved to Germantown in 2021 and this location always has the best morning crew. Always very friendly and very kind. A lot of Starbucks feel like a chain but honestly the staff here makes it feel like a local shop. They remember my face and this morning what compelled me to write this review is the service. I come in frequently and usually order a breakfast item or drink through the app but because you cannot order water via the app, I ask at the counter at arrival for water. Shout out to Joyce in Milestone. Fantastic service! I was on my way home coming from the south and ordered Macadamia Cold Brew thinking I was less than 8 minutes out of exit 16. There was an accident on I270 so we were stuck for longer than expected. When I arrived to pick up my mobile order, Joyce noticed it was sitting there for a while and offered to make me another one. She mentioned it's watered down and would be happy to make me a fresh one. I was in awe. It's thoughtful service-oriented things like this that make my day. I never ever had a long wait for any of my orders. I can't say the same with the other Starbucks at Downtown Crown or the ones in Target. Coffee To Go. Decided to go with upper end coffee jolt and gave this Starbucks a try. As expected, entering the standard layout store, yeilded a Pikes Peak Grande in rapid fashion. Price point is upper end compared to competition, especially of the gas station variety, but the grande delivered the caffeine as advertised. Looking over the menu, perhaps there's a latte or cappuccino down the road somewhere, but that would probably happen at one of the drive through stores. I don't do reviews that often anymore but I was in here right before Memorial Day and it was literally the most pleasant Starbucks experience I have ever had. The staff all greet customers when they come in. They are quick and efficient but still find time to ask you about your day or weekend plans. They joked around but stayed professional and got drinks and food out quickly and correctly! I went in not in the best mood just wanting some caffeine to get through my day and then I left feeling such good vibes I felt reenergized without even having to drink my drink! It was my first time visiting this store and I am sure glad I did! I came here today because it was one out of the 100 locations that had a "cheer party." They were giving away free tall drinks of your choice for an hour only. I arrived on the dot as they were starting the cheer party. Immediately I noticed the signage for the party and all of the staff had on party accessories to celebrate. It was a very festive atmosphere with balloons leading the way to the line. The event was very well executed; there were about 10 people ahead of us in line and it moved quickly. We ordered and received our drinks within 5 minutes! They were staffed fully and there was no delay since they were well prepared for the crowd. While we waited there was a worker who was handing out free samples of the cranberry bliss bar which was so savory and sweet. At the head of the line there was a worker available to answer any questions. I think this helped tremendously to avoid having people slow down the line. Everything went smoothly and when we placed our order with a worker who then repeated it to the barista (since the drinks were free). I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and my husband ordered a peach green tea lemonade. Both drinks came out tasting great despite the many drinks being ordered. Sitting out here in the middle of what I think is Gaithersburg and Germantown off Frederick, it's in the boonies if you ask me, and you're asking if you're reading this HAHA... but it's worth the hike. It's actually in a nice shopping center with outdoor seating with plugs for all your poser, novel writing, deadline making, or pretend studying needs. :) The joint is spotless, has a good vibe and isn't too busy mid day. The baristas are doll faces (really nice) lol and very perky...FINALLY ppl who sell coffee and make coffee that look like they also drink the Kool aid not just peddle the sh..stuff. :-D The baked goods are fresh tasting and....this is not at all bux specific but every time I'm here, I land a treat reciept which makes me squeak with delight in my cracked out, Pookie like coffee addicted happy place. I stopped going here due to how slow the staff is. There are a couple of baristas here that are very attentive but they alone do not make enough of a difference. Last visit they had four baristas with three preparing orders and one barely running the register. On a typical visit here : one customer processed at a time, the other staff not looking at or in any way recognizing waiting customers. Very rarely will someone open the other register or just ask waiting customers what they are ordering. read more

The Starbucks locations I visit are usually very clean and professional. This specific store was having a hard time keeping up with in-person, mobile, and Uber orders. Numerous people's names were called to receive only half their order and waited a bit long for the rest of it to be finished. One couple was apparently waiting a long time and walked off dramatically. The baristas weren't aware and made their drinks anyway which wasted other people's time. The workers are not wearing gloves but are touching the lids of the drinks. My food and drink were tasty nevertheless. You might want to make sure you are not in a time crunch when coming there. read more

This Starbucks is trash. My drinks are consistently made horrifically wrong and "unconsumable" from this location. Do not go to this location if you are expecting a Starbucks drink as you will get a hanky coffee mixer. Staff turnover is very high and the wait is consistently long. Training seems to be a very difficult concept for this Starbucks due to the high inaccuracy of drinks. I avoid this location at all costs and recommend you do the same. I really don't appreciate to be lied to. I purchased a single latte in store. They were slammed. I noticed people that ordered behind me got their multiple orders before me. One particular person was a regular that everyone greeted by first name. When he stepped up to the counter he got his order almost immediately. A barista finally approached me and asked if I was waiting for food. I told her it was just a regular tall late. When I got my drink she said it was due to all the mobile orders, when other walk-ins had no issues. I told her it was due to them taking care of their regulars first and that this was not ok. read more

Ehhhhhhhh. That's really all I can say. Eh. As we all know, Starbucks is a chain establishment, so there's really nothing menu-wise that changes from store to store. The only variables we can examine would be cleanliness, customer service, and ambiance. After walking in, I noticed a faint bleach smell in the air. Yes, it means they're cleaning...but for heavens sake, you can't spray a little air freshener to get rid of the smell? Prop the door open? The weather was absolutely perfect, it's not like it would've hurt anything. Smelling bleach while drinking coffee is disgusting. Something is wrong if the scent of coffee isn't overpowering the cleaning solution...in a coffeeshop. That's filled with coffee, and people drinking coffee, and used coffee grinds...and more coffee. You get what I mean. So I get to the counter and order my drink, and the cashier is super sweet. Like she should get tipped sweet. Like she almost makes up for the stinky bleach smell sweet. After ordering, I wait on the side for my drink and it's made immediately. There was a line, but she managed to get a drink finished and in my hand within 5 minutes. I ordered the soy hazelnut macchiato, iced, with an extra shot. It was a little too sweet, even with the extra shot. Maybe the barista put an extra shot of syrup in there without meaning to. Still tasty. I'm giving 3 stars because the shopping center where it's located is revamping, so it makes it hard to find. I also hate the smell of bleach. Blegh. read more

They usually get my order wrong in the small ways that count like putting ice when I specifically ask for no ice. When ordering mobile pick up, I find myself waiting longer than walk-in customers. Poor customer service is when a customer is standing there and you do everything in your power to not look up and acknowledge them. Train your employees better. read more

Recently I've been looking for coffee options on may way to work without going too out of my way. Google told me there was a Starbucks at Milestone, which would have been a perfect location, but I never remembered seeing one there before. Today I took a good look around, and found it. I came to this Starbucks to order my usual, a tall iced Quad espresso with a splash of almond milk. The manager (Ashley) tried correcting me saying that I wanted a latte. She tried charging me $6.30 for a drink that I get everyday at many different Starbucks location without a problem. The tone and attitude of the manager was unprofessional and almost as if she was trying to be rudely polite. Once I received my drink I noticed that she put down WHOLE MILK instead of almond milk on the sticker. I am lactose intolerant and the fact after several times of telling her I wanted my drink with almond milk and she went and put down whole milk had me outraged. The rest of the employees were very kind and professional except the manager. I feel bad for whoever works for the manager at this Starbucks location. read more

Great renovation to this location. They recently gave this Starbucks a make over. You get Dyson hand dryers in the bathroom, new floors, up to date outlets with usb charging. Staff here is very friendly. Expect your drinks to finish in under 5 minutes. Plenty of seating inside and out. read more

This place is OK.. I mean I ask for a strange recipe (skittles Frap: Tall Strawberry and Crème Frappuccino with 2 pumps vanilla syrup and 1/2 pump raspberry syrup you should try it :) ) so the first time I let it go that they didn't mix it that well at all.. But the second and third time were all not mixed. I could take five minutes to mix it with my straw easily indeed, but it's melted by the time I do. The people who work there are nice, I've even seen some stay overtime! I will say that they are fast, but that might be why it's not mixed as well.. Or of course it could be machine not man's fault. Anyways this is a nice place my favorite they have is they're iced teas.. I recommend coming if your drink is not a mixed frap. It's a nice homey place though . read more
