Went to Windridge For a wine tasting and it so happened that the bangin bbq truck was there. I was happy because I love bbq, but I struggle to find a really tasty spot in the area. Well, everything was bangin ! I had the dry rubbed grilled wings and they were delicious ! So much flavor. I had a side of Mac and cheese and potato salad. The Mac and cheese was so yummy, gooey, seasoned well and just delicious. I went back and took and extra plate to eat at home later that night ! Got the ribs and Mac and cheese. I am on the fence here. Mostly because everything I ordered was sweeter than expected. The truck was at the Black Rock Market today. I have seen them at the Clarksburg Outlet in the past. The truck looks clean and well maintained inside, and out. I ordered a 2 meat plate. Pulled pork, sausage, potato salad, green beans. The portion sizes were reasonable for the cost. The food itself was all fresh looking and tasting. The green beans have a sweet flavor, something added to the seasonings. Also, many of the beans had the stringy end on them. The mustard style potato salad was also somewhat sweet. The sausage links had a charcoal grilled type skin and were good and the smoked flavor was detectable. The pulled pork had a deeper smoked flavor, but the vinegar was less noticeable than also a somewhat sweet flavor to the meat. I've traveled across most parts of NC, and understand that flavor profiles are very diverse there. For me, on a whole, having so many items on the same plate that are sweetened did not work for me. I would rate them 3.5 stars, but 3 is too low so I stuck with 4. I'd consider trying some if their other items, but not planning to. read more

I have had Yelp for years and never felt compelled enough to write a review... until now. This food truck was incredible! I was born and raised in NC and have lived all around the US as an adult and I have never found a BBQ place that tasted like home. If you've ever had really great NC BBQ, then I guarantee you will love what these guys are making. I asked for BBQ sauce and didn't even end up using it because the classic vinegar and seasoning taste they made into the pork was perfect. You know what I love about Bangin? The size of the sides and the amount of extra sauce they give. The Mac and cheese was great, the coleslaw was some of the best I've ever had. The half rack of ribs was good but weren't falling off the bone tender. I would like the option of them coming with the sauce already slathered on the ribs or on the side. I personally really enjoy the sauce all over the ribs. I would recommend banginbbq because their food is really good but maybe get something other than the half rack of ribs. read more

These guys know what they're doing. Half rack of ribs were plenty of meat, stellar rub, and super juicy. Sauce is a nice blend of tangy sweet/spice but vinegar based which hits the spot. The place is not bad by any means, but I can't say I enjoyed my first time experience. They were at the Laytonsville Cars & Cones event this past Friday. I got the chopped chicken sandwich, and for $10, I was rather disappointed with what I received. The chicken was well cooked, but dripping in a sauce that was just way too sweet. The amount of sauce made the bun way too soggy, and most bbq spots put coleslaw on top of a sandwich. Bangin did not, the sandwich was just too small to justify a $10 price tag. Just came from the pop up in Frederick and I was disappointed. First off, I didn't get a welcoming vibe from anyone who appeared to be in charge, except for the woman who took my order. The guy who walked around with samples completely walked past me and a few other people to go cater to some people he knew, basically selecting who he wanted to have samples...didn't even ask if we wanted to try any. They ran out of ribs. I asked for a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, got home and there was no slaw on my sandwich...had to run to Roys to get some. Also, the sandwich was super soggy.
