Went to Windridge For a wine tasting and it so happened that the bangin bbq truck was there. I was happy because I love bbq, but I struggle to find a really tasty spot in the area. Well, everything was bangin ! I had the dry rubbed grilled wings and they were delicious ! So much flavor. I had a side of Mac and cheese and potato salad. The Mac and cheese was so yummy, gooey, seasoned well and just delicious. I went back and took and extra plate to eat at home later that night ! Got the ribs and Mac and cheese. The bbq sauce also very good. Everything is simple and just cooked right. Def want to try everything else. read more

I have had Yelp for years and never felt compelled enough to write a review... until now. This food truck was incredible! I was born and raised in NC and have lived all around the US as an adult and I have never found a BBQ place that tasted like home. If you've ever had really great NC BBQ, then I guarantee you will love what these guys are making. I asked for BBQ sauce and didn't even end up using it because the classic vinegar and seasoning taste they made into the pork was perfect. I will definitely be following them and getting more at a future stop! Thank you guys! read more

I am on the fence here. Mostly because everything I ordered was sweeter than expected. The truck was at the Black Rock Market today. I have seen them at the Clarksburg Outlet in the past. The truck looks clean and well maintained inside, and out. I ordered a 2 meat plate. Pulled pork, sausage, potato salad, green beans. The portion sizes were reasonable for the cost. The food itself was all fresh looking and tasting. The green beans have a sweet flavor, something added to the seasonings. Also, many of the beans had the stringy end on them. The mustard style potato salad was also somewhat sweet. The sausage links had a charcoal grilled type skin and were good and the smoked flavor was detectable. The pulled pork had a deeper smoked flavor, but the vinegar was less noticeable than also a somewhat sweet flavor to the meat. I've traveled across most parts of NC, and understand that flavor profiles are very diverse there. For me, on a whole, having so many items on the same plate that are sweetened did not work for me. I would rate them 3.5 stars, but 3 is too low so I stuck with 4. I'd consider trying some if their other items, but not planning to. read more

Nice people making amazing food. This is by far the best food truck for bbq and Mac n cheese in moco. 20+ of us just stood in the rain because their food is so amazing, if that doesn't speak volumes then idk what does. There was still a line when I left. Go check them out! read more

You know what I love about Bangin? The size of the sides and the amount of extra sauce they give. The Mac and cheese was great, the coleslaw was some of the best I've ever had. The half rack of ribs was good but weren't falling off the bone tender. I would like the option of them coming with the sauce already slathered on the ribs or on the side. I personally really enjoy the sauce all over the ribs. I would recommend banginbbq because their food is really good but maybe get something other than the half rack of ribs. read more

The food truck options were limited. The sides were good especially the Mac and cheese and the potato salad. The baked beans were cold possibly out of a tin? The place is not bad by any means, but I can't say I enjoyed my first time experience. They were at the Laytonsville Cars & Cones event this past Friday. I got the chopped chicken sandwich, and for $10, I was rather disappointed with what I received. The chicken was well cooked, but dripping in a sauce that was just way too sweet. The amount of sauce made the bun way too soggy, and most bbq spots put coleslaw on top of a sandwich. Bangin did not, the sandwich was just too small to justify a $10 price tag. These guys know what they're doing. Half rack of ribs were plenty of meat, stellar rub, and super juicy. Sauce is a nice blend of tangy sweet/spice but vinegar based which hits the spot. Killer smoked sausages too. All around great people who know NC bbq; I'm coming back for the 2 meat platter and Mac n cheese. read more

We hired the Bangin' BBQ truck for my boyfriend's 50th and everyone absolutely LOVED it! All of the food was amazing, especially the pulled pork and mac n' cheese. The ribs were so meaty! Multiple guests told me that they were the best ribs they had ever had. Ordering was easy. Chris, the owner was professional and prompt with responses. Let me tell you a secret. I'm not a huge fan of bbq (aside from kbbq) so when I heard about this food truck I was interested to see if the hype is real. LET ME TELL YOU - THIS IS IT. The food is so fresh and delicious that even I, a low tier bbq fan, am in love. The meat is so tender and flavorful and INVEST IN THE SIDES BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST AS AMAZING. I finally got to try when they were in Rockville and I hope for the love of the food Gods, that they return often. The men who work the truck are so nice and sweet even though we only met briefly during the ordering interaction. Wish I had photos but we DEMOLISHED the food. As the name says, the bbq is Bangin! I went all in and ordered the full rack of ribs supporting local business. I wasn't sure what to expect being that this was my first time getting bbq from a truck. The ribs are perfect! Amazing BBQ. Delicious sauces and sides. The rib meat was falling off the bone. The Mac and cheese holy cow. Theres a special spice in there (I can't put my finger on) that gave it a unique taste. I'm only taking a star off because they can't allow preordering online anymore, and that they are not at an established location. So seeing them is only on an occasional basis. But other than that, really great food. I got the two meat plate w/ chicken, ribs, Mac n cheese, and green beans. Well done, Bangin. Just came from the pop up in Frederick and I was disappointed. First off, I didn't get a welcoming vibe from anyone who appeared to be in charge, except for the woman who took my order. The guy who walked around with samples completely walked past me and a few other people to go cater to some people he knew, basically selecting who he wanted to have samples...didn't even ask if we wanted to try any. They ran out of ribs. I asked for a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, got home and there was no slaw on my sandwich...had to run to Roys to get some. Also, the sandwich was super soggy. Waited in line for almost 2 hours and won't be back. The food was just OK and not worth the wait. read more

We had the chopped chicken and chopped pork platter with cole slaw and mac and cheese. Delicious is an understatement! The owner is obviously passionate about his food, and shared that there's some family recipes on the menu. This was the best BBQ I've had in Maryland and the best food truck experience I've ever had. He was so warm and hospitable, and checked on us to make sure everything came out great. If I see Bangin BBQ on the street I'm buying their food, whether I was initially hungry or not! read more

Oh so good - it's been a few months since I had the bbq bowl but I haven't forgotten that was the best food truck dish I've ever had. This BanginBQ is not bangin at all! Gave me food poisoning the first time I ever tried it! Sad because a friend recommended them. They have pop up locations on the weekends. I'm still in the bed sick and have been throwing up since 2am! Never never NEVER AGAIN! I'm so pissed off and on top of that its my sons first Halloween! And I'm in the bed sick! You know how you keep going back to a great plate of BBQ to get that perfect bite? And in the end, every combination is delicious? This is the best BBQ I've had in a long time. The individual who answered was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Multiple witnesses overheard the conversation, which has been documented. We were not initially seeking a refund -- only verification of the missing order and whether it could still be picked up. There was zero effort to assist, no accountability, and no urgency to resolve the issue. This level of disorganization and lack of customer service is unacceptable for any restaurant. If Flavor Hive continues to operate this way -- including routing customer calls to unprofessional third parties -- it will absolutely damage the business and its reputation.

Fatty, salty, and heavily seasoned (but not spicy) with a nice amount of meat. But the menus says it includes cheese then later says cheese cost extra. I will probably get it again, but call and ask them to make it spicy and add lime juice or limes on the side. The Gorditas were not as good. The shells were thin and not crisp. They were rather small. And one was busted open. The meat was just ok. The asada was slightly better than the chorizo and Cueritos. They did come with limes, cucumber, and radish slices. I will probably not get them again. All that said it was affordable and I would like to try more of their menus items (as well as a spicy birria ramen with lime) Nothing to say as far as ambiance (it's a food truck it got delivery from) food was prepared fast.

Solid family owned food truck in the parking lot of Giant on Darnestown Road…read more The steak was a little overdone but still good. You get a lot with the carne plate including eggs! It also comes with thicker corn tortillas. Staff were very friendly. They did not speak much English but we were able to communicate fine.
