Old me never thought I would give any Starbucks 5 stars, but this location might be a hidden gem. I ordered through the mobile app and it said my coffee would be ready in 10 mins. I get there a little early, 5 mins later. I walk through the door, not only to be greeted by 1 employee, but 3 employees! How nice! To be acknowledged and greeted as soon as I walk through the door. Am so a celebrity? Nope, but they sure made me feel like it! I get to the order pickup 5 mins early and guess what, my coffee is sitting there, waiting for me. As I pick up my coffee and start walking towards the door, I get a great send off by the employees telling me to have a good day. I don't think I've ever felt so welcome at a Starbucks. This was unreal and unforgettable. Great service. Great coffee. I have a specific coffee order and they hit the mark so well on this one. Funny, the only reason I ended up at this Starbucks was because I was trying to support a small business right before at Selva Coffee across the street, but their espresso machine didn't work. So, they're a coffee shop with no coffee and were pretty smug about it. I'm kinda glad that happened because I would have never experienced the best Starbucks if that didn't happen. Moral of the story: This Starbucks is awesome and Selva Coffee sucks. Don't go there unless you have some fetish for being let down. read more

Dropped by here one night to grab something warm. Hidden in the corner of the Flower Hill Promenade shopping center, this Starbucks is super cute! Granted, it was evening, quiet and very chill! Walked in and they have a huge coffee roast spectrum image. Love it when the stores incorporate some sort of artwork, coffee related or not. Next I saw the cutest bear mug! Knowing I will never be able to snag a cute bearista cup, I know I had to snatch up this little guy quick! Staff was super nice here! The barista saw me snatching up the bear mug and reminded me I could use my reward stars to purchase merchandise. 400 Stars covers $20 in merchandise or $20 off if the item costs more. Alright here's a little hack if you would like to call it that, there is a Whole Foods in the same plaza, if you love Starbucks Grilled Cheese sandwich, you gotta head over to Whole Foods and get yourself a cup of the tomato soup; then walk over to Starbucks ordered their grilled cheese, warmed of course and dipped that into the soup. I know you can make this at home but today was gloomy and rainy, the perfect soup for this weather. Also, my bestie wanted to study here and eat so that's a plus too. So we've all been to a Starbuck's location around the world only 1000 times, but this one stands out. Their customer service in this location is exceptional. I've been in twice now, and both times have stood out. The MOD on a night shift (didn't get his name) was constantly working/cleaning/helping customers kindly gave away expiring lollipops (never had them) to a group of young kids shortly before closing. He was overwhelmingly kind to all the guests coming in and out of the store. Jeremiah was also the same way I noticed before ordering with the guests infront of me, and then just as kind and helpful to me while hustling around the store as it was packed. This is the kind of service that really makes a difference. Super happy and positive employees can really start someone's day off well, and they deserve a raise and a shout out. This SB is popular because there are sometimes children activities that take place at the Flower Hill Promenade. Live music is sometimes played outside this SB as well. The interior is big, but the weather is always nice so I prefer all the plenty of places to sit outside. Parking could be a problem, but a lot of people tend to forget the parking garage connected to the SB. The coffee is as good as the coffee served in Allegro coffee inside of Whole Foods (and friendlier service at this Starbucks). read more

This is a pretty nice Starbucks with a friendly and efficient staff. I ordered my go to Caffe Misto with a light roast and a toasted multi-grain bagel with butter only. The misto was just right with a smooth light richness and creamy via the hot steamed milk. There was no bitterness which is always a good thing. The bagel was a little unevenly toasted but still good enough. It was tasty and had good texture. I appreciate that Starbucks uses a quality butter such as Kellygold Natural Butter. Who can withstand the draw of a brand new Starbucks in the awesome Flower Hill Promenade. It's a large Starbucks and the tables (inside) always seem to be occupied by customers staring at their laptops like zombies. Point being, don't expect to get a table during peak hours because, in all honesty, I rarely see an open table here. Baristas seem quick and efficient. One of my fave baristas from the Del Mar Highlands location now works here so that's always a plus too. There's a parking structure located right behind this location so no issues (with parking) here. I usually grab an iced coffee here and then walk over to Whole Foods next door to aisle-window shop because I just spent all my money on an overpriced Starbucks ice coffee.
