I don't frequent this location often just cause I'm not in the area much. My last visit I was surprised to see it was not super busy, but it was mid afternoon. The several times I've visited, service has been quick. The interior of the store very clean and organized. This location is very spacious which is nice. Preparing to hit the road for our next destination, I placed a mobile order for pickup. Upon entering the store, there is an electronic board that listed my name under 'Preparing.' The other headings were 'Ready' and do not remember the other. That was a nice feature, I knew where I fell in line of being served. My order was ready in 5 min, tasted as expected and was handed to me with a smile. If you woke up early today at 4am to get a hello Kitty collectible for you or a friend. And were told they ran out before they even opened the doors. It's because they sold all of their product to the first drive-through customer. After speaking to the manager, Diego, he could care less and said there are no rules on the limit. They can sell a customer. Told me if I had a complaint it would have to go to corporate. Diego, there's a reason why the Starbucks you're managing has horrible reviews and it's nothing to do with the taste of the coffee. You see a line of people waiting outside of your door for a release. You completely ignore them and sell all of your product to the first car. Then you have employees, mocking the fact that people are lining up for hello Kitty out loud after these people were told there was no more product. This store has the worst service. They closed the store for a meeting at 6pm - Prime Time! I just had major surgery and didn't want to wait in the long drive-thru line. I had to park far and walk, only to learn I had to walk all the way back to my car and get into the drive-thru line. Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would. This location is notorious for getting drinks wrong. Yesterday I drove to this loction because its the only nearby drive thru starbucks. I picked up an iced caramel macchiato, a hot caramel macchiato, and a black tea. I ordered these drinks with specific alternations; replace the 6 pumps of vanilla with sugar free syrup (mind you that means the same amount of pumps in a venti) and no water in the black tea. When I recieved my drinks, my black tea was watered down, the hot macchiato had 5 pumps of sugar free vanilla, and the iced macchiato had 4 pumps of sugar free vanilla. I have no idea where these two numbers came from when all I had asked for was to replace the syrup with sugar free. After reviewing my labels and discovering the mistakes, I called the location to ask for a refund. When I was on the phone the lady sounded kind and remorseful and offered to "get those drinks started for me" on the way back AND to get a refund. This is where the miscommunication started from either the shift leader or manager? I didn't ask who she was. Once I arrived to the starbucks I went inside the store rather than going through the drive thru again. When I came in, she asked me about the drinks I had ordered and put them into the computer to return the funds. Then because I was told they would "get those drinks started for me" while I was on the way there, I stood by the counter to wait for the drinks. Almost 20 minutes went by when I realized I wasn't going to get any drinks. I went back to the register and asked the lady if I was going to receive the drinks they had messed up and she told me my options were actually to get the drinks remade OR get a refund. See this startbucks looks nice inside and has a drive thru, but the service here is always terrible as they frequently get your drinks wrong and they are less accommodating than any of the other locations in Chula Vista. Even other locations in the area are not allowed to fix this locations mistakes. I hope they get better service and actually listen to their customers next time as I can see in the reviews not much of that is happeneing. read more

I was deeply dissatisfied with the customer service. This specific employee named Nick was unkind. He made it very apparent he did not want to be working, take our order, or even look at us. He was taping his fingers and with an attitude said "OKAY" when I would ask him I'm loading my Starbucks app. When I asked for more ice in my drink he sighed and said OKAY with attitude again. Not one customer inside, and I sent my son in to get a water. I had just spent $35 in the drive-through, and he wanted water to go with his grilled cheese. They wouldn't give my son a water because they said he had to buy something...mind you he's only 10. he came out and I gave him my receipt to show them, and they completely ignored him when he walked back in. Worst experience they purposely make your drinks wrong, they delay orders to make customers wait longer. Manager Diego is rude unprofessional doesn't care about customers concerns he tried to charge me an extra fee for milk. Starbucks is not as popular as before, I don't buy coffee here anymore...Before I used to buy coffee here but I 'learned something when my friend showed me the real coffee drinks, and they are not Starbucks but Local Coffee Roasters, meaning the coffee beans they're using is not of those beans that were roasted many months ago. Shame on whoever answered the phone prior to the hello kitty release telling people they wouldn't sell at the drive thru considering it opens 30 minutes before doors. The young minded staff shamelessly laughed at people in line at the lobby watching the first few cars buy all of the merch. I understand they are doing what was told, however, the miscommunication of the team was horrible and the customer service had no remorse for others lining up early as well. I hate to make this review, but I honestly feel that a venti drink with cold foam shouldn't literally be half foam. When I got it, the foam didn't even look like strawberry foam, I could barely taste it. And after a few sips I was basically done with my drink since there's only half of it filled. Ordering through the mobile app meant no wait (pick your drink up directly from the counter on the left hand side after walking in). Grande green iced tea ($3.45) was tasty + refreshing. There are truly many options to go to when deciding you want a Starbucks, and you're in the Eastlake/Otay area. This Starbucks usually has a pretty long drive through line, it's the only drive through, and will also get kinda busy on the inside too. I recently had an experience where my drink was done incorrectly not once but twice. I asked a third time to get it fixed and they did it! They also provided me a free drink card for my next visit which was something I didnt ask for and they provided that anyway. I recommend this Starbucks because they go out of their way to take care of their customers as long as you are polite and respectful read more

They forgot one of my drinks from an online order after marking it as ready. When I inquired about it, it seemed to have disappeared. I started a medication which i cannot have no stimulants (including caffeine) in my system at any times or my heart rate can go up and i would have to go to the hospital. I ordered a sugar cookie almond milk CRÈME frap and i noticed it was brown. usually with the crème fraps they are white the next thing i noticed was the taste of coffee and black dots at the bottom of my cup. I wasted my money and couldn't even drink it. I get that they might have been busy i work in customer service/ food as well but it does not take long to read a sticker.
