I ordered via door dash and though the store made a mistake and sent me an individual Cranberry bliss bar when I had called before ordering to make sure the tray was available. Though that was a big mistake, we are all human and being an ex barista I totally know how things get crazy and sometimes you misread a sticker. The reason for my review is Doordash did not want to refund me or make it right. I re ordered and the barista Devyn I spoke with on the phone helped by sending the correct item on the next order and taking multiple calls from me as doordash actually messed up the 2nd order too by never picking it up and bringing me something from somewhere else. (Was not my day) really appreciated devil's help and she even took the time to print the receipt with a note for door dash in hopes of resolving the issue, which i didn't even ask for. I was running errands with my son and my first stop was for some caffeine. I came into this Starbucks disheveled, irritable, in a rush, and struggling to keep my two year old under control. After making my order I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. As I was turning to leave, the cashier said no big deal, they'd cover my order. You never know when an act of kindness will make someone's day. I usually don't have high expectations for customer service in big chains, so this was a humbling experience. The staff is wonderful and I have a feeling they've displayed similar kindness to others in far greater need than myself. This is how you build a loyal customer base. They are always out of the refreshers. All summer long. Every time I have stopped in they cannot make any of the refresher drinks. Tipping: this location is great. The team here is SUPERB! David here seems to be the Senior Barista who starts to make your drink as he hear you submit your at the registrar. A few keynotes: 1. I've been stopping at this Starbucks every morning for the last couple of years because it's on the way, along my typical morning route. Whether ordering in person or ahead of time from the app, the staff are always very friendly and helpful and rarely get orders incorrect or make anyone wait more than a few minutes for their orders. The only real issue I've ever had at this location is the parking; they have a very small lot, which is shared by a few other stores, and is adjacent to a busy McDonald's -- so it can be difficult to turn in and enter the lot, and often just as hard to get a spot -- you typically need to wait for someone to leave, and because of all the other cars, many times people are driving the wrong way in the lot or exiting through the one-way entrance -- and the entire process of pulling in, parking and leaving the lot can be tricky. read more

I will never be back at this location EVER again. I use to stop at this starbucks on my way to work and I would usually order a bagel and a drink, because I am midly allergic to lactose I order my bagel without cream cheese and obviously my drink with soy. Well last time I was there I got yelled at by the barista. I was standing by the oven which is where I usually stand but I guess the lady in charge of the food didn't see me and she took my bagel over to the barista, the bag was still open they looked at it and they laughed. After seeing this I did what anyone would do, I grabbed my bagel and looked inside it to see if everything was okay. When the barista saw me do this she asked in a very rude and nasty tone if something was wrong when I explained why I was checking my bagel she started yelling at me. I went in for a bagel and some coffee not to be yelled at, there are definitely other places, CHEAPER places where I can get my bagel and coffee. read more

This Starbucks is so close to my house, that I end up stopping in all too often when I need a new atmosphere for studying. Everytime I've been in, I've found a seat immediately, though it can really fill up. The place encapsulates Albany Park. It is almost always filled with middle age Middle Easterners, young yuppy mothers, a few people of Asian descent, and even a homeless person. I love the diversity of Albany Park, but I don't like that this is one of the only coffee options for the area. Their lattes can be ashy and if you get a small (or whatever they call it) there is too much milk. Go with a short latte (not listed on the menu), it you want to taste your espresso. All the other drinks I've tasted are sweet and sweet like most Starbucks. Staff is pretty nice, even if they screw up orders occasionally. All in all a good place to study for an hour or two, but I am almost always disappointed by the coffee/espresso they brew. 2.5 stars read more

I've always had super friendly baristas at this Starbucks location and I like that I can guarantee that I'll find a seat. This Starbucks has a very diverse customer base and I really like that some people are chatting, others are studying, and some people are just sitting there reading the paper. My friend used to frequent this location every single morning and said the baristas worried when she didn't stop by! Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Starbucks in general, but I am not a fan of baristas constantly getting my drink wrong or overcharging me. This place was an everyday occurance when I moved to Albany Park. dangerious!!! The staff are always nice and the drinks are always very good...almost too good! Besides the hour later heart burn! I came to this location in the evenings sometimes to sit with friends or to write. I liked to people watch and see all of the firemen come it. That was almost as nice as the coffee...HELLO!
