12oz hot tap coffee and a blueberry donut

What a great neighborhood staple! It's affordably priced for cold brew and hot coffee, and has great pastries (particularly their donuts). If you want an alternative milk splashed in they don't charge you either. They also have bags of coffee to purchase and will grind it however you need it to be. The walk-up is always quick too! In the photo I got a blueberry donut and it was the best I've ever had of that flavor.

I have been a fake coffee fan all 28 years of my life. I've wanted to like it but really all of my "coffee" over the years has been a solid mix of cream and sugar with some coffee thrown in. More and more I have used less of the mix-ins but each time I try coffee (hot or cold), I can't imagine drinking it as is. This is the coffee that changed that whole experience. I took my cup, took a sip, and threw a top on that bad boy! This cup of cold brew has no chance of getting watered down. It won't be sitting on my desk till I decide to throw it away. I'm writing this review not even five minutes after getting this delicious cup of happy goodness. I'm not too big of a reviewer, but these guys, they are WORTH IT. 10/5 stars. An absolute must buy. I tried taking a picture of my happy face drinking it but it didn't work out. So here's a picture of my coffee instead.

Great little coffee shop close to home. There are zero frills like some of the others have said. You can get hot or iced coffee, and if they're available, something sweet to eat. Make sure you check the hours because they're not open every day.

Super cute little place- you're not going to get a fancy latte, but you'll get a damn fine cup of coffee.

Big fan of Bru, I like that I can walk in and get a carefully curated bag that was roasted that morning. Much fresh!

I figured the limited hours had something to do with the menu. Now that you all have gotten rid of the DJ table and added more chairs, it does feel more like a standard cafe! I'm looking forward to the menu changes. Thanks for your consideration! Previous review: I really enjoy their beverages and I keep coming back. That being said, there is almost no price transparency. The only prices they have on their menu are for the THC additions. I've mentioned this to the owner twice (he's a cool guy) but he has always sort of shrugged it off. It bothers me every time I'm in. Sometimes my latte with oat milk comes out different prices. Price transparency is so important for consistency . Not including the prices is a bit elitist, especially when the average drink is $6-$8. You should want folks to come in and comfortably order what they can afford. I hope this suggestion is taken into consideration. The drinks are good and like I said, I keep coming back but this has been a sticking point for me for a year plus.

It is so tempting to open them and start smelling, only the signs very nicely ask you not to. Wanting a break from dime-store coffee and tea (Folgers - no hate, it has a place), I decided to get something a little less "meh". Added bonus is that I am able to support a family business, as opposed to the Walton family and their associated shareholders. The staff at The Coffee & Tea Exchange was wonderful! They helped me select three different coffees to take home, speaking to the roasts and what makes them unique. I'd also like to award some bonus points for just the right grind of coffee for my reusable Keurig pods. My amazement does not stop at coffee, either - this also applies to teas. I went home with a few varieties of some of the more flavorful loose-leaf teas I've had! The kicker? The prices were very reasonable! True, it is not as cheap as a large can of Red or Blue coffee from the grocer's, but at the same time, not as expensive as something a corporation (maybe with a two-tailed siren??) has convinced you comes from a magical place called Seattle. Final verdict: My freshman year roommate had 4 open tubes of toothpaste because "variety is the spice of life." I have one tube of toothpaste, but coming up on a dozen different coffees and teas in my cabinet. Once I start running low, The Coffee & Tea Exchange is the first place I'll go to restock.
