This Starbucks is conventionally located on Lincoln on my way to work. The staff is friendly and some of them know me by name! That's a good thing because it means great customer service but a bad thing because it means I'm here WAY too much haha. Do the baristas here have a problem with the physical Starbucks gold card? We just moved to the area and 4 times (2 drive-thru, 2 in person) in a row they take my wife's gold card (she's at home) and then my phone app. I say, "i have 2 separate orders. The first one is a blah blah blaht and sandwich on the card," hand card to barista who then grabs the order. I'm assuming she's swiping card while i choose my order and look at the menu. Then i give my order and scan my phone. For some reason all the orders end up on my app and my wife has lost out on stars, challenges, etc. The 2 other Starbucks we frequent (when it's not rush hour because they're further away) have no problem and those 2 are much busier. read more

Friendly staff, quick service, and clean. On weekday mornings, there are a few groups of men who look like they meet frequently to have a cup of coffee and start their morning off. The morning weekday drive thru lines are always too long so I'd rather opt for mobile order & pick up at the store. Definitely quicker. However, standing in line after parking car (without mobile ordering) vs standing in line of drive thru is about the same wait time as I've tested it out. Since this is closer to the suburbs, the patrons are older crowds or family with children. No one in a rush to be elsewhere! read more

A few weeks ago at another location, I was told they don't brew decaf any longer. I've been ordering decaf coffee at my regular Starbucks (McCormick and Touhy) since and I haven't had any issues. By far the one of the best Starbucks I've been to. They are super quick and haven't messed up an order of mine. The staff is usually pretty friendly and sweet, though it seems their turnover is high. There are only a few faces that seem to stay consistent here. Space is a bit small, and music is a little loud, I wouldn't come here to study, more of a social space. Worst Starbucks ever. I've stopped here frequently. The location has a drive thru and walk in cafe. If you walk in be prepared to wait for forever. The staff is only focused on serving the drive thru window. They will completely ignore the walk in customers to the point that you will need to yell to be acknowledged. It's ridiculous! When you do get someone's attention finally they will act very rude and seem to be very bothered by the walk in customers. They have been very curt when they do respond to a question. In addition they never complete the order they way you actually want it. They dont fill the cup fully, are often completely out of straws and napkins, and don't follow instructions for the drinks submitted via the mobile app. In addition they are so disorganized. They can barely manage the drive thru window, let alone balance the window and walk-ins. Be prepared to wait for FOREVER, especially if walking in. read more

I asked 2 times to the manager turn down the music because I was trying to concentrate my online class. The manager did go inside and when she came out there was no difference with the sound. When I was in front of her to ask once more she completely tried to ignore me until I speak up. After I complained, she told me to sit somewhere there is no speaker, both sides of the starbucks were equally loud with speakers on the wall. I'm sorry, I didn't know that I had to buy $300 noise cancelling head phones to come study at this Starbucks!! Both the manager (short cut blonde haired wearing eye glasses slim woman) and one of the employee (short African American teenager guy) were showing me attitude like I did something wrong. I can't believe how terrible their customer skills were!! I just can't focus on my online class so I'm writing first time about a starbucks team who sucked up my energy with their dşsrespectless attitudes. If I was their manager, I would fire them, to teach them to lower their ego, and put the customer's needs first in the order. I know for sure that this is the last time I'm coming here, and I'm not sure wether or not they care about there is something called "returning customer" at all. I have to give a special shout out to Matty -or as I like to call him, "Matty-Matt!!" I'm not sure if he is new, or just changed his schedule; he is new to me. He makes the drive-thru experience extra special because he is just so darn friendly. I'm not talking about fake / chirpy annoying friendly either. He has this kind of surfer-dude vibe: like no matter what, he shrugs it off with a smile and moves on. PERFECT for the chaotic morning drive through! It is really hard to put into words but he is so genuinely nice, it brightens my day. When I hear his voice, I'm like, "Is this Matty-Matt?" and then we proceed to joke around for a minute. He is a really special employee and really embodies what customer service / building relationships is all about. After shopping in the area, we stopped here for some coffee. It was just like most Starbucks, nothing really special. It was large and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Traveling down Hwy 41 toward downtown Chicago on a Friday afternoon requires some form of caffeine. Luckily we stumbled upon this friendly Starbucks. There were only a few patrons, and no wait. Baristas were friendly and efficient. I had the caramel mocha crunch and it was everything I wanted and more! It was delicious, and did the trick - got us through the traffic and into downtown. Super confused employees all walking around behind the counter! Not even organized chaos - just chaos!! My drink was forgotten about, and the girl behind the counter told me: "I made your drink, I think someone else took it." I was waiting at the counter for my drink the WHOLE time, so a different customer did not take my drink. That means if "someone else" did indeed take my drink, it was another employee that took it and gave it to the wrong drive through customer. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, STARBUCKS! If you have a drive through AND cafe service AND mobile orders all going on, you NEED to have a good system going to keep everything straight. UPDATE: haven't been able to come by here in a while since it is not on my way to work anymore but I remembered why I love this location so much. I went into try the nitro today and they didn't have it yet (no big deal) but the guys working were so nice and friendly. Who would ever think to write a review of Starbucks, but after some interaction I had today with one of the baristas, April, I had to run and write it up. This is my ONLY go to Starbucks apart from the Oak/Rush street one and it never fails. Apart from the amazing customer service, its very chill to get work done. Usually pretty quiet at night when a night owl like me gets in the zone. Bathrooms are clean, people nice, and never an issue with drinks or service. I had a little mishap today with my coffee order and April provided a 'wow factor' in terms of customer service. Its also nice to have little chats or joke around with people working here who are very cool and friendly which adds to the easy going vibe. And I have also used the drive through for orders during the winter and always spot on with my warmed up cheese danish and pumpkin spice latte! read more

I am a pretty constant customer of this Starbucks. The staff is always friendly, the java consistent, the prices, well, what do you want? The person who designed the drive through must have needed a bit more coffee himself as it possesses an almost impossible curve for some cars. I can do it in short nosed vehicles, not in ones with a front end. You can see the number of people who have problems by the scratches on the pole and the building itself. The barristas just laugh about it. One caution, when you are headed inside, double check the advertised price of the baked goods vs the charged. Starbucks... I know there are plenty around the country when it comes to this franchise. Many people come through morning, afternoon and even sometimes during the night to get their fix. This particular location is great. Location - To being this location does have a drive thru which is great for people on the go. Also the location is in a plaza which is never really crowded to the point where there is no parking. Service - The service at this location is excellent! Fast and friendly staff that gets you your drinks at a quick pace (I know some customers can be quite on edge without their fix). They rarely make mistakes on orders but if they do they are quick to fix it and serve what you ordered. All the baristas I have ordered from are also very friendly and courteous! Nothing gets your day started better than a fast friendly service with a smile. Atmosphere - The vibe of the place is pretty standard when it comes to Starbucks. They have their self of products such as mugs, thermos', coffee, and other goods. Seating is available both inside and out which is a nice option. They also do have a few tables inside as well for those of you who like to get some work done inside Starbucks although I would recommend other places for study. Overall - All in all this is a great location and fast friendly employees to attend to your orders. The manager is rude as hell, the drinks have come out subpar at best. The only thing that makes up for the service are the good and kind employees that I have had the pleasure of speaking to.
