Honestly less than one star. Look I've worked in many fast food chains, and I've been a barista. Waiting 25 minutes for a coffee and potato bites is UNACCEPTABLE! I literally work in the same shopping center and have learned w this location, that if I want to get a coffee before work I have to get there 20 minutes before my shift. EVERY-TIME, they have made me late, messed up my orders, and to top it all off, they don't give you updates on ur food status, pull you forward, or anything. What they do instead is flirt around w their coworkers, talk about gas prices w one another, avoid talking to the window, and play on their phone. This is a really nice Starbucks - maybe the nicest one I've been to. They moved from Crossways Shopping Center off of Greenbrier Pkwy to the area adjacent to Towne Place, off of Eden. Their old location at Crossways is now a SmashBurger, while the new Starbucks is next door to a Mattress Firm. When you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to all of them. They offer the same items you've become used to, and all you hope for is that they're fast and clean. This one is clean, they are fast and, of course, I'm all about the free wi-fi. I've stopped by this location to write a little and zone out, so it's perfect for anyone looking to do one (or both). I like this one mainly because its interior is pretty. They look a lot like the Starbucks in Norfolk at the corner of Little Creek and Shore Dr (okay, so maybe that Starbucks looks awesome, too), so the familiarity is a good thing. Excuse me, it's a little sweet. I came here to unwind after having dinner at Surf Rider restaurant. I know you read the review. It's in a nice spot in front of some condos and besides a couple of eateries. And if you don't want to park, there's a drive thru. It's a standard Starbucks. Big coffee bar and the standard minimum of three baristas working behind it. On the wall, the cups and trembles. Couple of displays of coffee and light snacks. And for all the starving college students free WiFi. Overall four stars. Great place to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Whenever I'm near this is a go-to coffee location. Here you are sure to be greeted with the aromas of fresh cafe and smiling faces. My main drink is a hazelnut latte with skim and I am never disappointed, plus they also provide pup lattes on the house (cup of whip cream) my dog loves. This is a primary location when I do my usual stops to Target. The drive thru here makes it convenient and the parking lot is spacious enough to avoid any traffic. It's easy to order here and so far, I've had no bad drinks made. They do seem to have new employees work here. Today the person in the drive thru seemed like he didn't know much of the menu and the contents of each drink. I asked for no syrup with my green tea frappe. I told him to add honey. He said he has never made it before. Good thing they had someone working along side of him that got on the mic... to respond to my request. No syrup and add honey to my green tea is a usual one for mine. I was happy my drink came out just right. The guys was trying to so hard to multitask I believe it was difficult for him because he was on his head set the whole time. What I love about Starbucks, is that no matter where I go I know what to expect. I know I will get drinks quickly at a clean location from nice people. That's exactly what I get at this location. I go here quite often because it is close to my apartment. I normally do a mobile order and it's always ready within 5 min - which is perfect because that's how long it takes for me to drive there! I enjoy their bakery items (specifically the original doughnut or the croissant) as well as the bacon Gouda breakfast sandwich. My new fav refresher is the pink drink - it is so good!! I've been working in the Greenbrier area for about 6 months now and the Eden Way Starbucks is the one I frequent. I go there about twice a week and never had a problem. I usually order through the order online feature and my drink/food is always ready when I get there. I get there before the breakfast rush so there is never a line for me. I've ordered a couple of times when I got there and the baristas are always pleasant. The place is clean and well stocked. 4/5 stars for me! read more

Did a mobile order and came 5 minutes early before it was ready, the gentlemen said he was working on it I said thanks. Then the girl at the window came over and asked to see my phone for what time it would be ready, she said that the time provided is usually spot on. She said this incredibly loud in front of a lobby full of people. She inserted herself when it wasn't necessary and was incredibly rude about it. Today I decided to give this location one last try before I fully switched to Dunkin' only. I used to be a huge starbucks fan but, my job relocated me and there's a dunkin right around the corner from it. There is a starbucks closer but it's always bad and they are rude.. Anyways, after having Dunkin' for about a week straight I tried starbucks again and it just wasn't good. I tried and tried but it was never right. So, today I decided to go one last time and it is amazing. I hate pumpkin spice but this year I wanted to try it again. I ordered the Iced pumpkin cream chai tea. It is sooo good. The cold foam or "crème" is so fluffy and it's not all just like liquid with a little bit of foam- it's a lot of foam lol. But I love it! Customer service is always pretty nice, the cashiers asked me to choose the music for them one time. I only come here unless I desperately need a coffee, I look like crap to get out of the car, and dont want to carry a baby to order a coffee....which is often....lucky for starbucks they are the only coffee drive thru around me...so they keep taking my business. One thing I do like about this place is that they are polite, they do get me my coffee fast, and they have a drive thru, but the product itself...I feel like their coffee product should come in larger amounts for the price. I usually order lattes...but I feel like i get more sugar and milk than the actual coffee. I want a great value...not a rip off...to get a grande with soy milk it costs me about six bucks. SIX BUCKS for a freaking coffee?! I agree with many of the other reviews for this place saying that the Crossways location was better, but I definitely think that if given some time, this location can make its way back up to the crossways Starbucks we all knew and loved! It is a fairly new Starbucks location and usually new businesses need some time to get where they want to be. I was disheartened to read that service inside of the store hasn't been the best, but I have received nothing but excellent service from the drive-thru! I usually come here before work to grab a pick-me-up. My go-to is the pink drink since I am super caffeine sensitive. I know, why would I go to Starbucks if I can't handle my caffeine haha. The drive thru is easy to navigate, menu easy to read, and service always good so far. My only thing is that the pink drink is supposed to come with dehydrated strawberries and on multiple occasions I've received my drink without them. But that's just me being nit-picky. I miss my Starbucks when it use to be in the Crossways Shopping Center!! I honestly thought the drive thru would be awesome but now I just think it's ridiculous!! This past visit that I had at this location was frustrating. I had orderd my Frappuccino and tried to wait patiently but once I noticed that others were getting there items before I did I got so upset and spoke up to them. Let's just say they forgot about my order and didn't even offer anything after that. (Yes I got an apology but usually they give a free drink on them for next time or something, right?) Anyways, I feel like ever since they moved and got a drive thru they focused on their drive- thru customers than the customers in the store. It use to be in and out, less than 10 minutes (depending on how long the line is of course) but this time around I waited almost 20 minutes just for my Java Chip Frap (if I hadn't spoke up maybe I would have waited longer or just cancelled my order.) I feel like their employees weren't trained well enough, plus they aren't as polite I've noticed. They seem more frustrated and tired than jolly and ready to work type of attitude! Location is a decent spot, and gotta say the place is a lot more bigger than the old store. So much more room and tables to sit at. Love the decor and seating areas! They also have a nice patio area to enjoy your beverage too. Overall, they might have a drive-thru and made more space for their customers to enjoy their coffee but sadly to say they need to train their staff better... with better working ethics and timing!! This is probably the absolute worst starbucks I've ever visited. I've since moved onto Dunkin Donuts for coffee but went because I got a gift card. The wait was 25 minutes for 6 cars. I understand the line was long but it took FOREVER to get through for a coffee. When I finally got to the speaker, I waited even more for them to be sold out of normal every day items. I always stop in at this location before work because it's down the street from my office. Every time I go everyone is so nice! There's one person in particular, I wish I knew her name, the last few times she's been at the window and she has black curly hair. I visited this location to grab a grande ice coffee with cream and to my dismay this particular location charged me $3.74 for that particular order and also charged me for a refill of $0.67. I have been a starbucks gold member since it started And usually in other locations they charge $2.95 for the same order and refills are usually free when you visit the same store and stay at the location. I am not a fan of this new location. The baristas aren't as friendly here as they were when they were at Crossways. The furniture here is cheap and the atmosphere is as if they don't want you to stay long. I use to be a regular here but I won't anymore after today. I don't feel welcomed, I watched a friend order just plain ok coffee and it took over 10 mins to get to him. This new location appears to be "all about the drive thru" and that's a shame. This WAS a great, personable, professional and fun store when it was across the street. I've been sitting here almost 2 hours and I watched one barista smile one time. One of my favorite locations in the area! The baristas are consistently skilled, fast and friendly. Food is never disappointing though I do miss those ham and cheese foldovers. Loveee this Starbucks! I usually go everyday either before work or after. This is the only Starbucks that can make the iced matcha green tea the best! The one in Portsmouth blends it and it's supposed to be shaken.. I know, weird but it makes a difference to me lol.. All the employees are very sweet and quick.. I usually do the mobile order which is super convenient and my drinks are usually ready by the time I get there. No complaints at all about this place!
