I am very disappointed with my recent visit to Starbucks. It took over 30 minutes to receive our order. The employees were not friendly and acted as though they did not want to be there. After a long wait, I received one of our drinks, but the second drink did not arrive until about five minutes later. When I reminded an employee that we had also ordered food, she realized the food had not even been pulled to be heated yet. What was especially frustrating was that there appeared to be a manager in the back working on a laptop who did not seem concerned that customers were waiting an excessive amount of time for their orders. The overall experience was poor due to the long wait, lack of urgency, and lack of customer service. I hope this location takes steps to improve both efficiency and customer care. read more

These employees need a serious reality check. Rudest employees we have experienced in a Starbucks maybe ever. The women working the morning of 8/14/25, maybe working in customer service is not for you. My husband came in to order and no one looked up or told him they would be with him shortly, despite it being empty inside. Finally a woman with blue hair approached him and said "what do you want" (who acknowledges a customer that way yikes) and he asked if pumpkin was out and she said "nope so you're just gonna have to wait" okay? He said okay just a second let me pull up my wife's order and she literally left the stand and went and started doing other chores. He just stood there waiting and finally started saying his order and she came back and said what was that?? Um maybe don't leave the customer and you'd know. And then he said okay and for me... and looked up at the menu and again she walked away!!! So rude!!! He ordered and then when it was time to pay he obviously did not tip after such RUDE service and she sighed at him!!! Omg so cringe. Just awful experience all together. I will say my coffee is bomb as per usual Starbucks but I won't be back to this location. read more

I have been coming to this location on and off since I moved to Carson. Most of the time it's been pleasant drive through wise. I decided to go there on my morning walk. When it's not busy,it's great! Add mobil orders,shift change, and a busy drive thru , you get chaos. The way this location is set up IS NOT very user or customer friendly. Calling out drinks with out saying MOBIL PICK UP or having that designated area raises safety concerns along with uncomfortably. Being able to hear the staff gossip about customer experiences and yelling restock amounts isn't favorable either. ROBIN IS GREAT! She's why I still give it a go sometimes. read more

A couple months ago I ordered two of their large coffee travelers to be picked up at 7 o'clock. I got there at 7:05 and the first one was just being finished. I had to wait for them to brew the second one. I decided to give them another chance and today I ordered one traveler craft to be picked up at 6:45. I got there at 6:50 and it was not done, hadn't even been started. I told them I needed it and even showed them the paper where my order had been written that was underneath the register. The lady that helped me did not understand how to put it into the system so she had to get the manager. The manager was visibly upset and very frustrated with the girl helping me. Sadly, this is one of the worst Starbucks in Carson City. The store is undergoing a remodel, and should not be open. The dining area is filthy, covered with particles from the removed overhead ceiling tiles. There is a giant step ladder leaning against the windows, and none of the power outlets at the seating areas are working. The management is so obviously rattled by the remodel work going on in the store, while it's trying to operate, twice he put half and half in a cup of coffee that I ordered with non-fat milk. I have to say, for a while this location was a little tough. It seemed like the post Covid kick was lingering here. However, the last 4 times I've been here have been a big improvement. The staff is friendly, and it also appears they have more staff. It's always busy and there are plenty of people there to assist. Also now they have treats on the counter to try to pair with your coffee which is a super nice touch. Last week there was a problem with mobile orders. That could literally ground an operation like this who gets a lot of them. However, they took my phone, punched it in, made the drinks, and I was on my way. There was hardly any delay. I don't know what changes they have made, but they are noticeable. Nice staff, quick and efficient service, and everything has also been correct. read more

Lots of mixed reviews here. I just visited today and my experience was great. I visit Carson City only 1-2 times a year, and I believe I've been to this location 3-4 times because it's just before going up Hwy 50 to South Lake Tahoe. Anyway, I've never had a problem here. Like a lot of people, I'm sure I've been to 100 different SB in various locations, and this one passes the test for having excellent service, consistent beverages and a nice space to sit. Today, as a walk-in, I was greeted right away and my complicated 3-item order was prepared perfectly. This is the closest Starbucks to my house so I drive thru regularly on my way to work. I must admit over the last year+ the drink consistency and service at this location has greatly improved! They prepare your order pretty quick and keep things moving, and drink quality is consistently good. This location is centrally located for most of my errand running so I stop bu a few times a year and every time I do i remember why I don't like this location. My most recent visit was at 8PM on a sunday evening. Walked in with a friend and stood at the counter for five minutes. Two staff were cleaning one staff was leaning on the end of the counter talking to someone. No one acknowledged us. Finally the staff talking at the end of the counter called to one of the ones cleaning. She turned around and said oh sorry and finished up what she was doing. We placed our drink orders. It took 10 minutes to get drinks. We were the only ones there. I cant fathom how this location is still in business. The service is always so slow. They make a decent latte but their Frappuccinos are always watery. read more

I took the 40 minute trip to Carson City yesterday to look at some fireplace inserts. On the way home, I stopped at this Starbucks location to grab a java chip frappe. It is one of the smallest Starbucks I've been in, or it may have just felt that way due to the awkward layout. When you first walk in there is a stand of items for sale, which I'm sure was strategically placed to bring more attention to the items. There are a limited amount of tables and chairs as well. I wasn't planning on drinking my frappe there, but I could see how it would be an issue during a busier time of day. My drink was well made, except that they forgot to add the chocolate drizzle that normally comes on top of the whipped cream. (Not a big deal, it was still delicious). I thought I took photos, but my phone must not have saved them. If I happen to be in the area again and was in the mood for coffee, I wouldn't mind visiting this location again. read more

I just went here to get a matcha with cold foam, strawberry purée and no ice. A lady with short blonde hair was glaring the second I walked in and looked extremely unpleasant. She made my drink- with ice. I asked if there's any way she could take it out and made sure it said 'no ice' on the label when I gave it back. She was extremely rude when replying and scoffed and said "you wanted no ice?" It said it perfectly clear on the label yes, but I replied kindly and she remade the whole drink (dumping it out violently I might add). She then gave me back the drink and it had 0 strawberry purée in it and I personally feel that she made the drink worse than it was originally just because she had to remake the drink, because of her own mistake. However I left the store after this because I know her mood would have gotten extremely worse (if possible) if she'd had to make the drink again, correctly. After ted was done making the drink before mine he called my name and said he'd be making my drink. I really enjoyed this visit because they added a personal touch. I've been to this Starbucks a few times. I'm trying hard to give it 4 stars, but it's not quite there yet. I drink coffee, a lot of coffee and get to visit a lot of Starbucks. The folks here are friendly, professional (typical behavior of what I would expect of a barrista and not just some kids goofing around on the job). It's conveniently located off of US 50 and has a drive through. It's next door to a Keva and there's plenty of parking. Plus the restaurant across the way, Ming's, looks like it has a decent following. It also doesn't get cold or windy as the one on Topsy lane. But it's difficult to get to. If you're heading north, you can be waiting a very long time for traffic to make a turn to get here (no light). There's not a lot of seating/tables which is good, as there's not a lot of crowds either consuming the wifi bandwidth. Whenever I've come in, there has been seats available. But I could imagine it getting crowded if it got really popular. The other thing I like to do is people watch or just watch the world go by. There's not much of a view and there isn't that many "interesting" people who come by. So, if you want a quiet Starbucks, a little out of the way to study or sit down and enjoy some quiet time, this is the place. You will have a professional staff, comfy chairs and wifi w/o distractions to get what you need to get done. But if you want a "little" bit of distraction (even watching the traffic go by) then this may not be the spot for you. It may be a little too quiet. read more

this is the closest starbucks to me so i've given it a lot of tries but almost every time they have messed up my order. i've had missing ingredients on sandwiches (probably a factory problem so whatever), they almost always make my drinks wrong, and the past few times my hot sandwiches have been cold in the middle. today i went through the drive thru and ordered two hot lunch sandwiches. i also asked if they had any yogurt parfaits, which the worker said no. my sandwiches were both cold in the middle again so i went inside hoping to have them fix it. the worker in front was helpful as she made us new sandwiches, but she was rude and kept making dirty looks. also, there were multiple yogurts in the front so i guess the worker before didn't feel like checking. this location will mess up your order or make it with a bad mood. i work in food too so i get it, mistakes are made and bad days happen, but they shouldn't happen every time :( read more
