Dropped by yesterday and ordered a couple of drinks with friends. Although I wasn't a huge fan of iced latte i got and thought it was okay but one of my friends got the frozen hot chocolate and it was genuinely so delicious. We decided to come back today and ordered a bunch of those frozen hot chocolates and again they were so good. All the baristas at the window were genuinely so so nice and offered us a small cup of chocolate covered beans which is a unique but tasty concept (would buy a bag if offered). I have wasted my money there 3 times to make sure they werent just having an off day. The most flavorless "coffee" ever. Their espresso is so weak that when it hits milk it completely disappears, and that was with 4 shots. Any residual "coffee" taste is like watered down organic decaf. They supposedly added Irish Cream as I asked for it, but it appears 2 drops is the most they will add. There too, zero taste of Irish Cream. You are better off just ordering water since that is pretty much what you get anyway. Then there is the service. English comprehension is not a strong point there. Somehow "iced" means "hot". Somehow "four espresso shots" means "coffee with two espresso shots". Explaining the difference between two only created a confused look on the servers face and seeming desire to retreat to her "safe space". I would like to say something good about the experience at Human Bean... the building looks really nice. If you like a nice building to look at while waiting to be served discolored water by someone who would better serving at a buffet line... Human Bean is the place for you. If you want actual espresso or coffee try anywhere else including the waiting rooms at car repair shops. read more

The one Subaru ahead of us with two dogs had all the attention of the young blonde working the window, they talked about everything under the sun like it was a social call instead of a coffee order, we waited in line for 12 minutes after the customer got their order, still talking and laughing it up, we backed up out of line and still they were there.. socializing. Ok, I have granted multiple chances hoping this issue was a fluke, but multiple times later @ $6 a drink I find myself here. I go here typically for the Java chip Frappe. First time was amazing and I was instantly hooked.. Went the same day to get my wife one and she agreed. Amazing! Went back the next day and ordered another. Let's say this time the Frappe was more of a milky coffee and all of the java/choco chips were sunk to the bottom of the cup. I could peel back a large in a couple gulps. It was not a frappe or of a slushy consistency at all! So I had hoped it was a just a one time thing maybe. Next time I came through I made mention of it and they made me another great frappe which I paid for. Wasn't expecting a free one, but wondered if they would offer a replacement for my previous experience. I mean it is a $6 drink for crying out loud. It should be made right. I enjoyed that one and continued to show up for more. A few more stops and a few more milky coffees with all of the java/chocolate chips sunken to the bottom of the drink. It seems like every other one I ordered had the same issue and have all in all just stopped trying. They need to get some consistency with these baristas. Especially if they want $6 a drink. I can eat a meal at that price. They should easily be able to see the texture of the drink when pouring it into the cup before giving it to the customer. When the Frappe is liquid, not slushy and all of its solid contents sink to the bottom of the cup maybe you should renconsider if this is actually a frappe you made before handing it out of the window. I do not typically leave reviews often and am, yes of the guilty party who doesn't run around reviewing all my good experiences, but when something is broken and needs fixing these reviews are necessary. For $6 a drink, the drink should consistently be made right. I would say take the item off the menu if you can not get the Frappe texture it is advertised as on a consistent basis. Talk about being excited for your spoiled $6 drink and getting the wind taken from beneath your wings time and time again! read more

I was craving a Hot Chocolate on this chilly Winter day. Stopped by The Human Bean. Drive through. Everybody appreciates drive-thru when it is so cold out. The crew were so genuinely friendly. The price was a little less than Starbucks, I was pleased about that. They don't offer Hot Chocolate :( So the young woman suggested a similar drink. That drink was fresh and hot tasted great but not chocolatey. If you like Latte you will definitely like this place. I will return when I want to grab a coffee next time. read more

I've had a ton of issues with them on multiple occasions and I've tried to be understanding considering I've worked in customer service for over 5 years and I get how overwhelming and frustrating it can be. I've been charged for drinks I shouldn't have been charged for, never get my drinks made right, and have to constantly repeat my order to them because the girls are too busy gossiping with eachother and can't remember the orders. When I spoke to who I'm assuming was the manager I thought they were truly concerned about the issues but when I received the single medium size free drink coupon I realized they weren't concerned. Truly disappointing considering how understanding and patient I have been. Guess I'm going back to Dutch bros and Starbucks. read more

Waited for 10 minutes at the window, well over an hour before closing and saw employees walking by the window the entire time, they didn't let us know whether they were opened or closed although online it said they weren't closing until 9pm. We would've appreciated at least knowing they weren't open anymore or it would be a while. We ended up leaving very bummed out because it was going to be our first time trying it. read more

I've always wanted to stop by a Human Bean, and what better location than in your small previous hometown? While visiting, I drove through and was more than pleased with my experience. The young gal that took my order was polite as I confirmed my car's order with her. As I drove around, I thought to myself that I should have inquired about a membership or a rewards app, etc. I hesitated at the window, but asked regardless, and was responded to with nothing but absolute kindness and sincerity. I could download an app, and she provided a card so that I wouldn't forget, that would also give me $2 off my first purchase. Very kind. She proceeded to ask if the chocolate covered espresso bean was OK to put atop the drinks, (yes!), which reminded me to order a bag for a family member who loves them. I asked if they had any, and she confirmed they did. She fetched me a bag, even though she had to ring it up separately since I'd already paid. Not once did I receive any attitude for these questions or my add-on purchase. I thought that was very impressive. I ended up fully satisfied with my selection of an Iced Caramel Hazelnut Macchiato. Other members of my party ordered a Blended Green Tea and a MexiMocha Blended Coffee and raved about it. Will deff return for both the product AND the sincere service! read more

I wish I caught her name (ginger hair and from Santa Cruz) but she was so chill and kind while walking us through the menu. She wasn't just polite because we were customers, but was genuinely friendly and authentic with us. Glad to have another coffee house option besides Starbucks in town. We tried this location for the first time last weekend, and we were pleasantly surprised. We had kids with us and they didn't know what they wanted right away, so we asked for suggestions on kid friendly options. The service was cheerful and very helpful.
