At that event, I was a little bummed when there was a mix-up with my order. I had ordered an iced ube latte, but they ended up giving me a Mount Milo drink instead. Fast forward to now and I'm so happy that I'm back. It is Filipino American History Month and visiting this October made for the perfect time. This time I finally got to finally try a drink with ube! I This time, I went with their Halo Halo Latte. Their Halo Halo Latte is essentially Teofilo's coffee inspired take on the classic Halo Halo Filipino dessert. It features a strong Filipino coffee base with red bean, ube and ube cream! Wow! So masarap! I loved how the different flavors came together to capture that Halo Halo taste, with a delicious ube touch that made my drink extra special. It was sweet, creamy, and packed with Filipino inspired flavors. The one thing that I would have preferred was for it to be a little hotter. I ordered it hot, but it arrived more on the lukewarm side. It would have been even better served hot for the morning. That said, it was still a solid and an enjoyable drink overall. It was a bit on the pricey side, coming out to $8.84 with tax and close to $10 with tip. Nevertheless, it was definitely a treat! Overall, I was happy to be back here at Teofilo Coffee Company and finally get my ube fix. I would definitely come back again to try more of their Filipino inspired drinks!

I'm not one to write reviews but I had to say something…read more First off, love the coffee here. Needed to mention that yesterday the employees did a great job handling a rude and disgruntled customer. Kudos to the Nook for keeping it professional. I came on a Saturday afternoon, not looking at any reviews or Yelp tips. As mentioned in other reviews, the line was out the door. I told my friend "I am extra introverted and impatient today but that coffee smells so good." That was when the person in front of me turned around and said "I am so sorry. I don't mean to be listening but I just wanted to let you know it is so worth it." She proceeds to tell me a little more about Nook and the other locations and her favorite drinks. I ended up getting TWO drinks for me and kouign aman. The island matcha is something I have never had before. It is matcha with coconut milk and macadamia nut syrup. It is not too sweet and absolutely refreshing. It does have a very strong coconut water taste so for those who love fresh coconut water, this is for you. Honey lavender lattes are one of my favorite drinks and this one is just delicious and would make me come back to Torrance Nook for this drink. The floral taste is smooth and complements well with the honey. The coffee is robust but smooth. The kouign aman was okay. It was a little dry for my liking. With all that said, yes, I can see what Nook is well loved. The baristas were very friendly and made the drinks with craftsmanship and care. The line moved along nicely but it seemed like I got my drinks in a very timely manner. The shop itself is bright and open with a few spots in the bench to sit. Most of the seating is outside. This place seems like more of a place to hangout casually with friends than being a place to work. Thanks to the local patron who convinced me to wait in the long line.

I didn't personally like their americano and I was shocked that they don't serve drip coffee after a certain time. Their specialties are sweet drinks. Mostly the matcha and foams. And it's pretty good~ I can see why people like their matcha foam I have been into espresso tonic. They have a yuzu eapresso tonic. Not my favorite so I have to ask to get their yuzu epresso tonic without the yuzu haha because they don't have a regular espresso tonic in their menu They have indoor seating but it's not really comfortable since it's surrounded by the line that wraps around it.

It was one of those drinks I genuinely looked forward to, and I'd usually finish it before I even made it home. I was back in the area today and decided to stop by, hoping to enjoy an old favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to what I remembered. The matcha flavor was a little dull, and the drink was noticeably less sweet than usual. I don't necessarily need my matcha to be super sweet, but the balance felt off this time. It just didn't have the same flavor that made me enjoy it so much before, and I found myself not really wanting to finish it. At around $8 plus tip for the Vienna matcha, I do expect a certain level of consistency, especially with a drink I've ordered and enjoyed so many times. That's what made this visit disappointing. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't feel worth the price this time. Maybe it was just an off day, and I can't speak to their other drinks, but based on this visit, I probably won't be going back. I wish it had been as good as I remembered.

I did like that besides drinks they have a good menu for food. It was honestly kind of hard to decide what to get. Originally, I had ordered the barbecue chicken bowl, but my man asked me to change it to the Poké bowl because my son loves poke. I did change that and the presentation on that was super cute. I opened it up just to take a picture. I didn't realize there was no rice on here, but that's because it's a poke salad not bowl so that was my mistake. I definitely feel like I needed rice with this which you can order on the side. The poke was pretty good. But I feel like it was kind of expensive for what it is. Maybe if it was $15 versus 17. I could definitely get a Poké bowl with way more toppings for about $17. But the poking itself was tasty. If you're looking for a healthier alternative, this is good. Since it is an actual poke salad I'll still rated a 4.5 out of five. It also came with a scoop of Mac salad, which was a little bit on the sweeter side. We got three drinks. My son got the strawberries smoothie which he didn't even get to drink until we got home since he fell asleep. My man got a shake of some sort which he said was really good. I got the Biscoff shake. But I did add Boba to it. We left on the road and I drink that, but it was missing my Boba which the sticker also showed that it had. I think most people wouldn't add Boba to a shake so they forgot. We were already on the freeway so I had called to ask for a refund for that. They were very helpful and able to refund me that in a little bit more. I appreciate that since we came from out of town and we were exhausted and already stuck in traffic. The Biscoff shake itself was actually really delicious, but yes, I was just missing that Boba. The service was great, and the fact that they did still help me out after we left, I appreciate that very much so this is a spot I would return to you in the future when I'm up in the area.
