I always love stopping in this Starbucks. I think it's one of the most consistent Starbucks in the area and has a great location - in the heart of Fenway, by Target, Fenway Park, Longwood Medical area, and Time Out Market. The baristas are always nice and friendly, and they keep things moving efficiently during the morning rush. I like to order ahead on the app, which works great but if I'm close by, I'll order in the store. The drinks (and food if I get any) are always great and consistent with Starbucks standards. I personally am a big fan of the cold brew with nondairy cold foam. I like that personal cups have been making a come back too. This location has always been great with that. The inside of the store is decently spacious. There are a handful of tables and a countertop you could sit at. You could work here and I've seen plenty of students studying or working when I go in. There aren't too many outlets though. It's a great view of the hustle and bustle of Fenway and gets great natural light. If you plan to hang inside or use the bathroom, you need to be a customer, but that's nothing too unheard of. Anyway, a great Starbucks. My go-to location for a consistent experience! read more

Food: There was WAAAAY too much ice in my shaken espresso, and barely any espresso/coffee/oat milk, it was mainly vanilla sweet cream cold foam (which I love, but I need coffee as well to really wake me up, and oat milk for the consistency). Service: Ordered in advance so it was ready by the time I got there! I stopped by twice, and both times had a pretty confusing experience. The first time, I asked for an iced drink with "no ice" to avoid it getting watered down. The barista seemed puzzled and kept asking, "So hot?" even though I explained it was supposed to be iced, just without the ice. After a bit of back-and-forth, she ended up making the drink with ice in it anyway. The second time, I asked for a decaf latte, and they were just as confused. When I got the drink, it was basically just flavored milk--no coffee at all. I go to Starbucks weekly and have never had issues like this, so I'm hoping it's just a learning curve and chalking it up to inexperience. The drinks are good when they get it right, but the communication and attention to detail definitely need some improvement. read more

This is the best Starbucks in Longwood/Fenway. In my 20+ visits here the staff have been consistently friendly and attentive. I often order ahead on the Starbucks app and have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to pick up drinks and food. (The other stores nearby either don't support order ahead at all or disable it as soon as the store gets busy.) If this location had more room for seating and lounging, it would be perfect. Right now, it's more of a grab-and-go spot with only a few small tables. read more

I dont know whether theyre skimping on their ingredients are whatever but I've already salted caramel cold foam cold brew multiple times from them and it sucks every single time. The foam isn't foam, it's like froth and the foam has already melted into the drink (not supposed to be that way). The pic I attached shows what the drink looks like even before the barista handed it to me...either the barista is doing wrong or their batch of ingredients for the cold foam has been defective for the past 1.5 months. By the way, i even ordered extra salted caramel cold foam. Now it just looks like a regular iced latte with light foam. "G" was not camera ready for my Check In, however his customer skills was pleasant & helpful. I made my usual inquiry to see if they carried Agave & finally, here along the eastern seaboard, I got my Agave. It's really a ironic kind of thing as I can't fathom how I allowed my Daughter to convert me back to sipping SB's coffee, after I gave up on the Caramel Macchiato many years ago. Well, now it's a treat, weakness decaf, with Coconut Milk & Agave & I too can enjoy SB once again. & only when I'm rolling with my Daughter, as I'll stick my juices & smoothies in the interim. I did enjoy seeing G's face while my Daughter used her European SB App...the young schooling the young, love it! This location is not the closest one to BU's campus, yet it's perfectly situated across the mega Target store if you need a shot of something to help you shop. The store was very tidy & I really enjoy seeing the enormous community black boards giving out the daily happenings. One may not be camera ready...at least they are barista ready. read more

Okay - so it's a slightly smaller and busier one if you try to get in here in the morning or at lunch or when the office building across the street is evacuated - but otherwise you'll get fast service and... wait for it... starbucks! I think the company does a pretty good job at ensuring all their stores are effectively held to the same standards - so if you like starbucks, this is a starbucks that has starbucks. I've been to many Starbucks, but this is one of the best locations. The staff are super friendly and fast. I have never had a problem with an order and have always gotten what I ordered quickly. They make every customer feel like a VIP and go above and beyond to create a great experience for everyone. I also love the music they play in the store and have found a lot of new songs while waiting for my order, which is never very long. It is my favorite spot to get coffee! read more

I like Starbuck's. I really do. This time of year, I get severely attached to the peppermint mocha and salted caramel mocha. Can we say crazy holiday drink addiction ova here? I sauntered in here after a doctor's appointment, and I said to myself, "It's time for a peppermint mocha". Went in there, placed my order and got my mocha. I was a happy gal. The barista guy said, "Wait! Don't take a sip...I forgot to add chocolate to it." I said, "Thank you :) what would this drink be without lovely chocolate bits?" I was positive i ordered a cold foam coffee but instead received a cold brew. So i asked the employee with a smile, "what did i order?" and his immediate response was "i don't know." Although i worded my question incorrectly "what did i order?" should have been "sorry, i believe i ordered the cold foam, could you check?", but the employee did not give an appropriate response, or help take care of my order. A store shouldn't be judged by just the quality of its products, but by the customer service that its employees perform as well. I walked into this Starbucks with a bright smile and energy as I do when I go into every Starbucks and I came out with a disgust look on my face, feeling awful and unwanted. As soon as I step in I can feel that something is wrong. I'm not getting that Starbucks welcome at 5pm as I'm used to receiving at 7am. Really, I greet the cashier and he says nothing. That's right, no "hi how are you, what can I get ya?", just a blank look on his face. I tell him what I want and he takes my cash. There is no enthusiasm at all. A prostitute on blue hill avenue has experienced a more enthusiastic money transaction. As I wait around, I notice that all of the employees are out of it. I don't know maybe they are just tired, but that is no excuse to deliver upsetting customer service. So the moment arrives and I go up to the girl who has my frappucino. I think about taking that first delicious caramel sip, take it out of her hand, smile and say "thank you", and she replies with nothing. That's right nothing and an eye roll. I am upset to the point of where I just want to give them back my insanely delicious drink. I leave the store and I don't look back. The two stars is for the drink. It tasted like a Starbucks frappucino. This was my first time visiting and I will not be returning to this place at all. I deliver customer service every day at my job, no matter how crappy my day is I never lash out on customers by treating them like scum. This store needs to work on being awesome to its customers and not just delivering drinks. read more

The baristas at this location are the best in Boston. My drinks pale in comparison at other locations in the city and I find myself going out of my way to go to this location. You need to try a "chumpkin" - a chai tea late and a pumpkin spice late combination. Truly fantastic. read more

I love this Starbucks and it is definitely one of my favorites. I don't go during rush hour, so I can't speak to those hours but I have always had great experiences when I do go. Today I went in and got my usual latte. It was honestly one of the best I've ever had. I contemplated getting a second because it was THAT GOOD, but that's quite a bit of caffeine for me considering I didn't get there until 1. There aren't a ton of seats here, but I got a table and hunkered down for almost 5 hours. Yes, I'm one of THOSE people (this is what happens when the BPL is closed and I hate the BU library). Never once did I get that feeling at a lot of places I go to for 5 hour time periods. The staff is definitely very laid back here, but it works for them and I don't hate it; I think it's part of the reason why I feel so comfortable here. If you can serve me a good latte with a smile I will speak highly of you. You deserve it Fenway Starbucks... With the BPL closed again tomorrow I might be making an excuse to go back already. read more

Ok Starbucks. They are all the same. Their bold is over roasted or something and so tastes of ashes, I'll still drink it but prefer not to. I had an "interaction" with one of the employees. I was contemplating buying a sandwich. I asked him if the bread was soggy (you know how condensation builds up and just drips down and makes a sponge and.....you know, i know you know.) His response was that it wasn't crispy. Now while this is certainly a accurate and truthful statement it wasn't helpful nor did it answer my question. He seemed very agitated when i tried to explain what i meant about the sponge and the condensation. So back to square one, no wiser than when we started question and answer time. I bought it anyway, it wasn't anything special and the bread was CHEWY. Neither crispy nor soggy. I can live with that. PLEASE NOTE: If you bring back your Starbucks cup you can get a refill for $0.53. I believe this is a Starbucks wide thing. go work it, Iced Coffee all summer. read more

I haven't drank coffee much in the last 3 to 4 years but i do drink tea so when i am going to the movies across the street, i usually run in here first to get my tea fix. Staff are super friendly. Lines can sometimes be long but it moved pretty quickly. Variety here isn't the best. This isn't one of the bigger Starbucks and seating can be scarce and it doesn't look like people are ready to leave either. I still liking coming here and it's convenient where i need it to be. I stop in here everyday, so I should probably write a review. My only order is an iced coffee daily, so it doesn't take much effort to make. To me, service seems... well... serviceable. There are a couple baristas who are very friendly (but are not always working), one barista who annoys the crap out of me because it's hard to tell if he's making fun of you or just trying to be funny and the rest don't talk much. I'm used to the higher volume Starbucks in the city, so I have never seen a really long line even at rush hour in the morning. That being said, I have seen a large back up of people waiting for more time consuming drinks. It seems like the serviceable service at this location may be smoke and mirrors based on my easy drink order and the relatively low customer volume. Stay tuned. read more

Not a bad location and definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood. This whole area has really improved in the last few years with the addition of the Landmark Center and Trilogy. My main gripe was that this Starbucks was very DIRTY when I last visited. All of the tables were covered with the detritus of former customers. I have to give them some credit for the nice seating arrangements. They try to accomodate more people in the seating areas by having just a few tables and a few smaller blocks with chairs. However, each and every available table and block had caked on gook and old napkins and wrappers on it. Uck! Please wipe down the tables more often! Otherwise, the line was short, service was good and my latte was tasty. read more

I usually bring my own coffee to work, but, sometimes I forget, am too lazy, or want something iced. This Starbucks does not disappoint. The line moves quickly even when it is busy, which when compared to a lot of other Boston Starbucks this one is not. The workers were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I am a stickler for a good latte and mine was the right temp, had just enough frothy milk, and the espresso was not burnt. What more could you ask for. I've been waiting for a Starbucks to open up near the Regal Fenway movie theatre since I was an NU freshman way back in 2003. FInally, upon my triumphant return to Boston, there's one! It's a Starbucks. It's not a particularly good store layout, and the staff is as run-of-the-mill as you can get. Overall, the location can't be beat but the experience of getting coffee here isn't going to blow you away. read more

This is my go-to Starbucks location. Generally everything is quick and friendly, although there are one or two people are who are less friendly than I typically experience with Starbucks employees. But most cashiers or baristas are very nice, and willing to answer questions about whatever's roasting, etc (tho I make sure to ask when they line isn't long - I don't want to be that jerk). Overall, I've had very good experiences here! The only downside to the store layout is that during coffee-rush-hour (8-9 am or so), the line can get long and its not always clear where it ends. People usually sort it out, but it can be a bit cozy. And sometimes, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will serve you your drink, in his Tom Riddle guise. read more

I am highly disappointed by the service I receive at this location everytime I've entered the store. I work around the corner and since the service has been so horrendously slow and bad, I've tried to boycott the store. I love starbucks but this store and it's baristas/manager are rude and care nothing about the customers and the beverages they put out. The trash and condiment bar is always dirty and messy. On this one particular visit, I waited 20minutes while the barista behind the service bar made drinks for his fellow coworkers sitting on metal director chairs gossiping about nonsense before he made my drinks. You would be lucky if you can get a freshly brewed hot coffee after lunch hours. They simply make coffee once and wait for the pot to get empty, whenever. If you ask for dark roast they give you pike... If you catch them, they simply say it is wrong label. But never a fresh brew. read more

The worst Starbucks I have ever been to...and I have been to a lot. The staff is HORRIBLE. Not only rude, but they are so understaffed during the morning work rush that there is no emphasis on customer service. Today I waited over 12 minutes for a grande latte with an extra shot...and I am pretty sure the girl forgot my extra shot. Not my favorite way to start the morning. One barrista at 8:50am on a Friday morning is irresponsible. When I think of Starbucks in the winter, I think of smiling, snow-kissed elves mixing up delicious peppermint-mocha-caramel-eggnog-pumpkin-gingerbread delights. Here I wouldn't even order anything fancy because I know I will wait forever just to have my order come out wrong. Terrible service in the mornings. The line usually reaches the door but the people working the registers plod along as if they haven't fully woken up yet. This place needs to take a cue from Dunkin Donuts and learn how to serve on-the-go morning customers efficiently. They also keep the temperature too low and the music volume to high. This Starbucks is a great place to study. There are typically some seats at the bar or for the larger tables. The staff is quick and accurately takes my order each and every time.
