The drinks are fine, but the food is really really overpriced for what it is. Not sure my wallet can handle it

If you are a cat lover (or just have a soul), Kitty Cat Cafe in Peabody is a total must-visit. It's…read morea registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that shelters about 10 cats at a time, and you can instantly feel the passion Cora, Uri, and the volunteers have for rescue work. They've created a space that is the true definition of "mi casa es tu casa"--the cats basically own the place, roaming around freely while they rehabilitate and wait for their forever homes. It's so heartwarming to see them in such a chill, loving environment. What I appreciated most, though, was the educational side of the experience. They really take the time to highlight FIV kittens--which is basically the cat equivalent to HIV--and explain how they can live totally normal, happy lives with just a few standard precautions. Cora even touched on the biases that exist, even among vets, so I loved that I left not only feeling fuzzy from cat cuddles but also a lot more informed. Whether you're looking to adopt a new best friend or just want to spend some quality time with some kitties, I highly, highly recommend checking this place out and supporting their mission! As for food, you can bring in anything you'd like and if you're there for their tail thumping thursdays, you can also order delivery to it. They cannot serve food due to local laws and guidelines. They do have packaged snacks and drinks you can purchase to enjoy. In addition, they have merch you can also purchase. All purchases, including tickets, help fund the nonprofit.

We finally got the chance to check out Kuya Jay's Ube Cafe in Somerville, Massachusetts, and it…read moreabsolutely did not disappoint! I can honestly say it's one of the best little cafes we've ever visited. I had never tried ube before, and for anyone unfamiliar like I was, it's a purple yam. I ordered the Banana brulee Cold Foam, and it was incredibly refreshing and packed with the perfect blend of flavors, topped with fresh bananas. It was absolutely delicious! The bread completely surprised me. It was evenly baked, incredibly moist, and somehow crafted to pure perfection. The ice cream was a treat as well, but honestly, everything we tried was phenomenal. We can't wait until our next trip to Massachusetts just so we can enjoy a few more bites. I also loved the purple theme throughout the cafe, although maybe I'm a little biased since purple happens to be my birthstone! One of my favorite touches was the owners' book, where you can see pictures and learn more about their story. It really adds a personal touch to the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we would definitely recommend this place for a quick snack, dessert, or beverage. There is some temporary street parking available as well. If you're in the area, Kuya Jay's Ube Cafe is absolutely worth a visit!

The wait wasn't too bad and the menu had a good selection of ube flavored drinks and treats. The spot is located in this public space with nice lighting and some seating. The area also does cooking classes and has some areas to study. I actually got two drinks to try both and they were tasty - not amazing, but not bad given the price. Overall, I didn't mind the experience, but I have seen some troubling things online regarding permits that deter me from coming back unfortunately. Drinks tasted fine though!

I was so impressed by the atmosphere-it was everything I expected and more. They have the nostalgic 90s music theme of records we all love and you are immediately greeted by friendly staff. I also loved the familiar favorites on their menus with a unique twist. Not to mention at great prices! I stopped for a hot chocolate at first because it was pretty chilly in the morning. It was absolutely incredible. On the way back from errands I tried the Woo-Rito which I heard is a crowd favorite. It did not disappoint. I made a few exceptions..I did order it without the hot sauce but I added the spicy mayo and it gave it the perfect zing it needed. Absolutely love this place & love the staff. I'm a student from out of state attending a university & they make Woo feel just like home. Wish I would have come to this cafe sooner because it's absolutely incredible. 10/10 recommend.

Staff were friendly and worked very quickly. Ice tea and lavender lemonade were SUPERB. Not much seating, but a lot of people get it to-go, so it's not a problem. A great place to duck in out of the rain and enjoy a coffee with your book.
