You know when you walk into a coffee shop, and you just trust them? That is what I felt when I stopped at Clear Flour for a Sunday coffee run. I will admit, I am typically an annoying orderer--I have worked at coffee shops so my taste has become specific. I usually ask for less milk, light syrup... but here I just trusted, and my iced maple latte was SO GOOD! I am planning to return. The ambiance is cute, definitely not a place to sit and hang out for long as it is small with very little seating, but they seemed to keep the drinks moving--love the quick service!

ROSEMARY MATCHA!! That's all i have to say about this spot. One of the most incredible drinks I've had all year, and that's high praise coming from someone who has a matcha daily. It was creamy, packed with distinct flavor, and meshed perfectly with the earthy matcha base. An amazing balance of sweet, herby, umami flavors. This cafe can't be missed. Connected to one of Boston's most loved neighborhood bakeries, this place is a standout spot in and of itself, they have a vast menu of unique and seasonal drinks you can't find elsewhere, crafted to careful perfection. It's a great option to grab a drink as you wait in line for the bakery or just come to and enjoy on its own! The service is fast and helpful (I unfortunately got there right at closing, but they were more than happy to make me a drink anyway)! This cafe is brightened not just by the lovely people that run it, but also by the lively and welcoming atmosphere, that offers energy in the form of both drinks and vibes. Though it's pricey, you're truly paying for more than just a great drink, and it's worth every penny!

was super excited to try the clear four coffee bar! The menu is simple and offers a few fun seasonal drinks as well. I had the seasonal caramel apple latte. I enjoyed it! I found the flavoring to be very subtle, but I did like that it didn't seem very artificial and sugary. The coffee flavor was very nice. Came here on the weekend and unsurprisingly it was busy and packed in the small space! There were also some premade sandwiches and little candies available for purchase. Was able to order immediately and waited about 15 minutes for our coffees. The servers were super friendly and informative about wait time.

Clear Flour Coffee Bar is the newer coffee shop right next to the famous Clear Flour Bakery over near the Brookline-Allston line. While they're definitely associated, it's good to know that you can't actually order the bakery's breads and pastries from the coffee shop, you have to go next door to the bakery itself, which can be a bit confusing at first. The shop itself is small but cozy, focusing mainly on drinks. They serve a wide range of coffee and matcha beverages, along with a few other snack items. We decided to try their earl grey matcha. The drink had a really nice, prominent earl grey tea flavor that we enjoyed, but the matcha taste itself was a little lacking and got a bit overshadowed. It was overall a good, unique drink, but it might need an extra shot of matcha powder to really balance out the flavors for someone craving a stronger matcha hit. It's a convenient and friendly spot, especially if you're grabbing a drink after picking up bread next door or just want a quieter alternative to the often busy bakery. For the best experience, think of it as a separate stop for your drink rather than a one-stop shop for both.

We've been to the bakery before and decided to check their coffee out before waiting in line next door. The decor is adorable with some other niche items like tinned fish, canned drinks, etc available to buy. The strawberry matcha and rose mocha latte (limited time items) were delicious but pricier than comparable locations (spent nearly $17 on two drinks). They also had some sandwiches available that we did not get a chance to try. Seating is very limited and not the most comfortable with metal stools that swivel. Only 5 seats in the store with small ledges to look out the window. Not somewhere you grab a coffee and settle in to do work, but good to check out if you are already going to the bakery.

10/10 for their bakery, but a 6/10 for their coffee. Their coffee wasn't extraordinarily impressive like so many people recommended it to be, but the bakery was AMAZING. The staff was so so sweet and amazing and gave me recommendations on coffee and bakeries in the area since I've been touring and reviewing a bunch in the greater Boston area. I got the golden latte and although it was good, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I did love that they had a "pay it forward" area where you could buy someone's coffee for them! The vibes of this place are definitely unmatched.

Solid new coffee place from the owners of the wonderful bakery next door. They have a marzocca machine and use / carry Tiny Arms coffee. Really enjoyed the cortado, and the mocha was good. Super friendly service, and nice touch with the coffee art! It's also way less busy than the famous bakery (though I'm glad to see more and more people visiting), so you can get some light sandwiches that use their bread and also some dips (incl muhamarra and hummus) if you want something quick. Glad to have this addition to the area!

This coffee bar is a nice way to grab a fun drink after splurging on pastries. There isn't seating, so don't plan on bringing your laptop or a book, but there are spots by the window you can stand at if you're into that. I got an iced chai latte with oat milk. It was good, but it was served in a paper cup that didn't fit the lids you can use a straw with, which confused me. I ended up waiting til I got home so I could drink it with a straw. I probably wouldn't come back unless I'm specifically going to the bakery next door and also want a drink.

Nice coffee spot and good to grab as you wait for clear flour. The earl grey I got was pretty decent.

Excellent coffee, and can combine with the pastries/breads from next door. Highly recommended spot in this neighborhood.

The most rude staff ever. Really seems that serving you is the last thing they want to do. It's a shame as the coffee is good

This is such a fun warming place to be all around. Though there's not a ton of seating, I was lucky enough to find a table even on the weekend given that this spot is also great for grab and go. But if you get a chance to sit, it's a lovely place to have a chat with a friend or get some work done. The menu has a wide variety of drinks with some fun rotating flavors, and I'm dying to come back and try their sandwiches (they look and smell divine)! As for their matcha and pastries, I can report that they're not the most impressive I've seen anywhere, but they're certainly high quality and crave-worthy. This in addition to some great prices definitely makes a stop here worth it!!
