I LOVE this place!! I feel so insanely fortunate that my office is within walking distance because it truly is my favorite part of the day. Everyone is kind, makes incredible recommendations, answers questions, and moves quickly. I LOVE the Bahn Mi sandwich (such a random incredible thing) and their seasonal lattes are always exceptional. I could drink their dirty chai lattes every day. I am a coffee addict and a seasoned Brookliner, so I was super excited to try Clear Flour. First off, the service was exceptional, and it was refreshing to see a cafe that operates efficiently; where all employees genuinely care about each other and the functionality of the business. Everybody was working together and had a great attitude. My friend and I ordered the seasonal Blueberry Pancake iced latte, and it was pretty good! It had a strong blueberry flavor, and tasted more like a blueberry milkshake rather than espresso, but it was still really good! I would love to try their other flavors sometime. We sat outside since it was a nice summer day outside and enjoyed the views of Brookline's greenery. I will be back! read more

This coffee shop is super cute and has fun flavor options. I went with the blueberry pancake latte, and it had a blueberry flavor but I wanted it to be just a bit stronger. I appreciate that they make their own syrups and the coffee was a beautiful color! The service was pretty quick and when I broke my cup trying to put the lid on (oops!) they immediately got me a new cup and helped me clean it up. LOVE this coffee shop!!! I found it through social media and it definitely lived up to the hype. I've stopped by a few times during the week around noon/early afternoon and have never had to wait very long. The baristas are always super friendly and fun to chat with. I like that the coffee is really consistent- they always get the milk, syrup, and espresso ratio perfect!! One of my favorite things is their community board where you can pay it forward and buy a coffee for someone else. I always try to add one when I stop in. Cute! Great to grab a coffee before going to the bakery next door. Lots of fun local items for sale, tin fish, and Swedish candy, which was great to grab in line. The drinks are always good! lychee matcha and banana caramel latte were delicious. Only downside is it's so tiny in there, so it's really not a great place to hangout. They do have a couple outlets and bar-style seating, but doesn't seem like a great place to work unless it's super slow. read more

I've been to Clear Flour Coffee Bar twice in the past month and both trips were absolutely delicious. I got Miso Caramel both times, once as a hot latte and the second as an iced americano and both were absolutely incredible. My sister got the Blueberry Pancake latte and it was really good, it wasn't too sweet but had nice blueberry flavor. During both visits the employees were super cool and kind, made us feel very welcome. The space is beautiful and they have a few window standing shelves for people to drink their drinks. Theres also outdoor seating with umbrellas outside of their bakery next door. read more

I went on a Sunday when there was such a long line, but it didn't take long to order and get our drinks. The ambiance here is really cute. ROSEMARY MATCHA!! That's all i have to say about this spot. One of the most incredible drinks I've had all year, and that's high praise coming from someone who has a matcha daily. It was creamy, packed with distinct flavor, and meshed perfectly with the earthy matcha base. An amazing balance of sweet, herby, umami flavors. This cafe can't be missed. Connected to one of Boston's most loved neighborhood bakeries, this place is a standout spot in and of itself, they have a vast menu of unique and seasonal drinks you can't find elsewhere, crafted to careful perfection. While they're definitely associated, it's good to know that you can't actually order the bakery's breads and pastries from the coffee shop, you have to go next door to the bakery itself, which can be a bit confusing at first. The shop itself is small but cozy, focusing mainly on drinks. They serve a wide range of coffee and matcha beverages, along with a few other snack items. We decided to try their earl grey matcha. The drink had a really nice, prominent earl grey tea flavor that we enjoyed, but the matcha taste itself was a little lacking and got a bit overshadowed. It was overall a good, unique drink, but it might need an extra shot of matcha powder to really balance out the flavors for someone craving a stronger matcha hit. It's a convenient and friendly spot, especially if you're grabbing a drink after picking up bread next door or just want a quieter alternative to the often busy bakery. We've been to the bakery before and decided to check their coffee out before waiting in line next door. The decor is adorable with some other niche items like tinned fish, canned drinks, etc available to buy. The strawberry matcha and rose mocha latte (limited time items) were delicious but pricier than comparable locations (spent nearly $17 on two drinks). They also had some sandwiches available that we did not get a chance to try. Seating is very limited and not the most comfortable with metal stools that swivel. Only 5 seats in the store with small ledges to look out the window. Not somewhere you grab a coffee and settle in to do work, but good to check out if you are already going to the bakery. read more

The staff was so so sweet and amazing and gave me recommendations on coffee and bakeries in the area since I've been touring and reviewing a bunch in the greater Boston area. Solid new coffee place from the owners of the wonderful bakery next door. They have a marzocca machine and use / carry Tiny Arms coffee. Really enjoyed the cortado, and the mocha was good. Super friendly service, and nice touch with the coffee art! It's also way less busy than the famous bakery (though I'm glad to see more and more people visiting), so you can get some light sandwiches that use their bread and also some dips (incl muhamarra and hummus) if you want something quick. This coffee bar is a nice way to grab a fun drink after splurging on pastries. There isn't seating, so don't plan on bringing your laptop or a book, but there are spots by the window you can stand at if you're into that. I got an iced chai latte with oat milk. It was good, but it was served in a paper cup that didn't fit the lids you can use a straw with, which confused me. I ended up waiting til I got home so I could drink it with a straw. A young women with brown hair and eyeliner who was topping the coffee off with milk said a snarky comment when i went to grab my coffee and i said thank you which she didn't hear apparently and proceeded to say your welcome in a very snarky condescending entitled tone to which i turned around and she looked at me and said that's what i thought in the same tone. clear flour encompasses what i love in an independently owned coffee shop: giving back to the community and creating a beautiful third space. i love how clear flour has a built in "pay it forward" system (to use, go by the lids/honey station on the right and choose a pre-paid drink card, and bring it to the cashier!). it really feels community orientated and the baristas are wonderful! they have limited seating inside, so i would recommend taking to go or sitting outside in the area shared by the bakery! read more

Barista gaslit me into believing that she used oat milk instead of whole milk for my drink. I was right across the counter and I saw her use whole milk with my own two eyes!!! When I asked her to remake the drink after tasting and confirming that it is whole milk, she acted like I was being delusional. She rudely shoved a newly made oat drink on the counter. That new drink WAS made with oat milk thankfully. I am lactose intolerant and I also have taste buds to know what type of milk I'm drinking. I've also been a barista and I understand that mistakes can happen - but please stop treating your customers like idiots. Horrible horrible service. Coffee was beautiful (nice latte art!), service was great, and they have some tasty looking sandwiches. I was kind of creeped out that they had a bunch of sandwiches sitting on the counter, wrapped and ready for sale at room temp. The sandwiches have temp sensitive ingredients like mayo and smoked salmon... for food safety sake, I'd feel more comfortable if they were stored in a fridge. (I know they can be at room temp for a few hours, but I'd rather not chance it!) read more
