Located across from the Harvard Campus. Small location with a few seats. The drink was made quickly and was delicious. They don't have a bathroom but the barista was helpful in pointing out a restroom just down the street. Very quick visit for delicious cherry matcha. read more

I ordered the strawberry shortcake matcha latte, and my friend ordered the matcha latte. My drink was really well balanced, and the strawberry jam complimented the matcha so well. Would definitely recommend. My friend's latte was also good, but it needed more matcha. There was a bit too much milk, but it was still good. Service was also really fast. The only issue was the barista was impatient with my friend when she asked about the sweetness level. Otherwise, this location is really cute. There's a full length mirror at the entrance for cute pics too. read more

I've been wanting to try this popular chain and had a chance as i was passing through Harvard square. The store was clean and bright with a minimal aesthetic. My normal coffee order is simple maybe a bit boring as a love a good drip, cold brew or latte. I wanted to try the Daydream as the cinnamon and vanilla flavors sounded delicious with espresso. The employee taking my order was friendly and patiently waited for me to decide. However, I made a mistake and didn't specify I wanted the Daydream hot and the man making my order literally rolled his eyes and let out a huff. I'm sorry for the honest mistake but I sure felt unwelcome and flustered. Forgot to take a picture of my drink which tasted fine, but I won't be back. Plenty of coffee shops in the area to try. read more

Delicious coffee with real homemade syrups! Small little place only a few tables. Service was fast and nice. I got the shaken vanilla bean latte and you could see and taste the real vanilla bean. Amazing! read more

I got the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha, and it was absolutely insane. It genuinely tasted like cake--it didn't even taste like a typical strawberry matcha. It had this rich, cake-like flavor that was SO good. It was definitely sweet, but I personally love anything super sweet, so it was perfect for me. My sister got the Blondie Matcha, and that was also insanely good. Both drinks were so flavorful and definitely lived up to the hype. I would 100% go back again! read more

Long line out the door is worth it. I got a blondie or and my husband a daydream cold. Amazingly smooth.

I enjoyed getting into the hype of Blank Street Coffee while visiting friends in the Boston area. Service was fast, but a little chaotic in terms of figuring out where to pick up the drink from the barista. The interior was designed clean and spacious...but there was limited space to stand, so in essence it didn't feel like a welcoming place to try niche coffee, it was more encouraging to grab your coffee and leave. I ordered a latte and it was a bit underwhelming. I hope to come back again and try different drinks on their menu. read more

Great place to grab a matcha drink around Harvard square. There are only a handful of tables that seem to be constantly occupied, so don't get your hopes up for studying here or being here a long time. I'd recommend ordering online, but they are quick and get orders out quickly even if you order in store. I tried the banana bread and carrot cake matcha drinks and have to say I'm not the biggest fan. The banana bread had a great initial taste, but toward the bottom of my drink, started having a more bitter aftertaste. The carrot cake really tastes like carrot cake in liquid form, but was honestly just too much carrot cake at once for me. I'll stick to the blueberry since that's my favorite :) read more

Strawberry shortcake matcha latte with oat milk was SO GOOD. I am not a matcha connoisseur because I usually don't like the bitter aftertaste. This drink is smooth and goes down without any aftertaste. If I lived near a Blank Street Coffee I would visit regularly. read more

I've always loved their coffee, but the matcha here--wow. I only wish Black Street Coffee was closer to where I live! They use ceremonial-grade matcha, and you can tell from the vibrant color and smooth taste that it's high quality. We tried the Pistachio Latte and the Daydream Matcha, and both were absolutely delicious. The Daydream Matcha truly lived up to its name, with subtle notes of honey and cinnamon that made every sip a dream. Both drinks come with oat milk by default, which was a great touch. Beyond the drinks, the café itself is super cute, with quick service and a great location. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! read more

WOW. Would give 6 stars if I could... THIS is good coffee. Be aware that it's not a great place to study/work -- more of a grab & go, but that's okay. The baristas are SO kind and they don't charge for alternative milks I'll definitely be back!! read more

Blank Street is my all time favorite coffee/matcha spot in the Boston area, stoked to see that they opened a location in Harvard Square! I got their seasonal Rocky Road iced latte to try - it was so yummy. I love all of their creative flavors and it really is worth the wait. This store has a bit of seating but you can also take your drink and walk around the square on a nice sunny day. It is also right outside of the Harvard MBTA station. I love this place!!! read more

my matcha is the same color as the straw, when the same barista made other folks drinks that were smaller mind you with much more matcha-- the baristas had an attitude with me when i asked about the app (particularly about scanning for points , which i explained i understood since they explained that i couldn't use it for points but solely to pay) , and the customers have no special awareness and kept bouncing on the seats as i sat next to them. Not to be a negative nancy but i was shocked how the ambiance changes based on who's on shift. read more

I had high hopes for Blank Street given how popular it is, but unfortunately, the drinks didn't live up to the hype. I tried the salted pistachio matcha and the blueberry matcha, and both were surprisingly bland. I will say the flavors were very creative, but I could barely taste the matcha itself. It was pretty busy the day I went, so maybe they were just overwhelmed, but even then, I expected more from such a well-loved spot. Might give it another try in the future. read more

Mediocre matcha and quite honestly some of the worst service I've ever seen in my life. Watched some girl drop her drink and the staff just stood and watched as she tried to clean it up with napkins. And she asked for more napkins while the staff just stared blankly at her. After using all the napkins, one of the staff finally begrudgingly pulled out a mop and cleaned up the spill with a lot of attitude. Unimpressed and overhyped coffee place with young staff that needs to learn better customer service. read more

Honestly thought blank street was just influencer famous and would be over rated but honestly ive tried so many coffee spots and this one is TOP. Apparently their matcha is great but ive only gotten their iced daydream latte and the pistachio latte and subbed oat milk and it was spectacular- just sweet enough and the honey and cinnamon was divine. Have been back like 3x in the past 2 weeks and will continue keeping it on my rotation read more

We stopped by because it was right outside the Harvard square train stop. My family got a cafe au lait, iced coffee, beautiful dream latte and everyone was happy. The baristas are very friendly and the drinks came out quickly. They have both matcha and latte versions of specialty drinks. The beautiful dream latte tasted like cinnamon toast crunch cereal to me and wasn't too sweet. I really regret not getting a signature drink to save on pastry calories so I went with a basic iced coffee which was good but you might as well try an interesting coffee you can't get anywhere else. They have several tables inside but it's a little small and wouldn't be the place to meet with a large group. read more

Right in the heart of Harvard square. Literally get off the red line and drop in to get a coffee! It's a little chaotic inside but part of that is likely just because the space is small. The interior is best for order pick up and go. There are a few tables inside but it has the feeling of being cramped once people are waiting for their drinks. the other customers were more the issue with my experience just not being mindful of others. Very disrespectful of others and towards the staff which definitely took away from my experience. My drink was good though! I got the brown sugar shaken cold brew latte with oat milk. So so good! read more

I went to Blank Street Coffee to see what the hype was about, and I think it's okay! I ordered their shortcake matcha iced latte, and it honestly tasted like a Ben and Jerry's ice cream... Ok I have to admit this latte was YUMMY. I got the seasonal Rocky Road latte and it was so good, but very sweet. It's ice cream inspired and boy did it taste like dessert. If that's not your vibe, stick to their original flavors. They definitely do multi-flavored drinks and mine was gone in five seconds because it's a lot of ice. I did order the large size and was served a small, so that was disappointing. This location is really nice though and the staff was awesome. read more

Uh, what the...Amazing!!!!! -We went here nearly every other day for over a month when we were in Boston. Seriously I was addicted to the Matcha Strawberry Shortcake. Blank Street Coffee - a counter with a variety of pastries - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Cambridge, Massachusetts

If I were rating this place just on the name it'd be a 1. Blank street sounds like they forgot to fill out a form. Or maybe they just meant it to be more like their coffee and food. That is, generic. I mean, if this place was in the middle of no where, like Framingham or something, it would be pretty good. But you've got Pavement next door, Tatte down the street and, if you were really desperate, Flour. This place is as expensive, if not more, and its stuff is just kind of...meh. It's also pretty cramped, sitting at the table you're front row to all the weirdos coming through to order. And by weirdos I mean, of course, Harvard students. read more

Bummer! I just bought a coffee and pastry and sat down in a comfy seat. Then the two girls behind the counter announced they were closing in five minutes. They could have had some sort of sign or said something when I ordered, but they didn't. My whole point for coming in was to sit and enjoy a coffee inside. I do have to say, both employees were very blank. Zero personality, zero enthusiasm. And of course I get to pay their salary by tipping. read more

My first time going to a Blank Street, and honestly, I don't get the hype. I had a cold brew, which was fine but really nothing out of the ordinary. I thought the vibe of the cafe was a little sterile, but I think that's what this chain is aiming for. read more
