I popped into this location as I was in need of a warm beverage and conduct some brief business. The environment was warm and inviting. The people there were chatting away with each other. They may have been regulars as the Baristas were joining in on the fun. My order was prepared quickly and I sat down and joined in on the conversation. I ordered 2 drinks through the app, one being a white chocolate mocha and the other a caramel macchiato extra espresso 4:19pm. I went to the drive through and there was a long line and wait. I finally get to the window at 5:00pm all to receive the wrong drinks with a poor customer service. The employee says we must have given your drinks away by mistake. I had to tell her my name again so they had to fix my order again with no apology or explanation as to why the line was moving so slowly. I waited about 40 minutes total and to get back to work all to find out my caramel macchiato wasn't a caramel macchiato! I usually frequent this location and will not visit again! read more

Since they have remodeled, they have been great! Much faster! My breakfast is always hot and they have yet to make any mistakes with my drink orders. Whether I'm in the drive thru or I go in, I have no problems. My order is rarely the same but still, no complaints. My wife and I came here for Valentine's Day and had an awful experience( we were out of town visitors). When we came into the restaurant the hostess refuses to acknowledge us and another couple and we eventually just sat down. After 20 minutes she told us we were next and sat us at a table. When we finally got our table we received water from our waiter and that was it. We waited for an hour and never got our order taken. This restaurant was no busier than your average breakfast spot, but the service was slow and terrible. Eventually we just left without food or drinks. read more

Two days in row we ordered the same drink we have ordered at other Starbucks from Mountain Brook to Tokyo and the Caramel Frappuccino did not taste right. It barely had a hint of coffee. I suggest skipping this location and finding another Starbucks because the baristas at this location are terrible. read more

I came in on a Saturday afternoon to do some studying and preparation for an exam I have coming up. The good: my drink was good and prepared quickly. The bad: Two employees loudly singing and making weird screaming noises. Loud enough that I could hear them over my AirPods I had in. Just very obnoxious and distracting. I can usually handle people talking or having fun. I'm not expecting complete silence. But, this was next level distracting and annoying. Just very unprofessional and didn't seem to care too much about people in the store. Also, the booth is weirdly too high for the tables. So isn't great for using computer at. But employees were so obnoxious, I had to leave before finishing my drink. Won't be back for sure. read more

I'm not sure who the barista at the window was with clear glasses working around 11AM. But when asking if they took a certain line of credit before I wasted her time with my order, the response I got was "ummm what did you just say". She was not wearing a name tag either and did not say sorry or thank you for coming by. It was not a very welcome or friendly environment. I'd recommend going to June coffee, Red Cat in Pepper Place, Cala or literally anywhere else. Staffs need more CUSTOMER SERVICE training! 1) I was waiting in front of restroom for my turn and a staff passed by, showing a finger expecting me to wait. He went in to change toilet papers and just walked away. 2) Cashier did not response to courtesy greeting. Just handed a merchandise. I asked for a bag and the staff put it in front of him so, I had to reach it and bagged my self. Lastly, he pinched the end of the receipt and handed to me like I am some kind of germ and he was trying not to touch me. Also, no courtesy sending. This is my go to Starbucks on my way to work. The drive-thru is pretty quick in the morning. Staff is nice and very friendly. The guy who takes orders at the drive-thru is super energetic!! I love it!!! This is one of the better locations. Parking can be a bit hectic because there is a Publix and some condos/apartments right across the street from this location as well as a Chipotle and AT&T store. There is a small parking lot behind the building, so if you're lucky you may can get a spot to run in and place your order. read more

Never plan to go to this Starbucks if you're on a schedule. The worst thing about this location is the drive-thru setup. Not only is it painfully slow, but you can't pull out of the line even if you wanted to, and end up getting stuck in the middle of the building for 20-30 minutes, by which point you are late to your next plan and don't even want the sun-par coffee anymore. read more

Just stopped there last week Thursday evening after riding the Veo scooter after work, in need of a Frappuccino fix, I tried the Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato, surprisingly good, at first thought it was a bit bitter but when I mixed it in, the flavors got together, can smell the Apple Crisp and taste also thanks to the brown sugar syrup, I would have asked for an additional squirts of more Apple Crisp Syrup and Brown sugar, I like my Macchiato a bit sweet, the Frappuccino the same, but not too sweet, just the right amount. I was hoping to come back that day to try their Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino but it was a limited promo, if they still make that Frappuccino, I will be back for that one.. This is another great Starbucks and note that it is a RESERVE store...one of only three in the Bham metro area. Great outdoor seating area and a lot of seating inside. Several tables and chairs and plenty of counter seating. I have been here several times recently and will be here many more times in the coming months. For SBUX in general, I like the consistency from store to store and I think they have one of the best customer loyalty rewards programs. This particular SBUX location is a reserve location which means they have coffee beans for on site brewing that many other locations don't have. Also they have the Clover brewing machine, which does like an inverse french press, something you must try. The baristas are really nice, I haven't had a problem with parking, and there are plenty of tables and lots of electric plugs, especially at the high top counter area. So sad that there are no comfy chairs at this location. Sometimes I'm in the mood to sit back while I do my work so I guess when I'm in that mood I will have to go to another location. read more

I had so time to kill before my first class of the day, so I decided to go to the Starbucks in the UAB Hill Student Center. This location is usually packed, so when I found it almost empty it was a pleasant surprise! My drink came out very quick and it was very good! This is not always the case. When this location is busy my drinks often take away to come out and they are usually not very good. The workers always have a smile on their face, even when it is crazy busy, and they are always easy to interact with. This location is very clean and I enjoy all of the natural light that all of the windows offer. read more

Besides the drive thru to this location being sort of hidden in a parking garage, I absolutely love this Starbucks. The customer service is top tier and very quick. My order is always perfect. Although I'm not a coffee person, their refreshers always do me justice. Starbucks is a great way to start an early morning of a long day. Even a refresher gives me enough energy to last me through the day, especially when paired with a breakfast sandwich. The bacon gouda and applewood bacon egg and cheese sandwiches are my favorite. There are so many Starbuckses just in this 1 mile radius with both the UAB college campus having two and the hospital also having two, that I didn't really have a need to come to this location till last week. With covid temporarily closing most locations, I see a lot of hospital employees making the trek out to this particular Starbucks which also has the convenience of a drive thru. It seems right now they are open to mobile orders you can pick up and the drive thru. There were about three employees there when I went. I ordered the confetti sugar cookie for myself and the pupaccino for my dog. I really enjoyed the confetti cookie. Not only was it the prettiest cookie they have right now, it had a lemony taste to it. It's safe to say my dog LOVED her pupaccino! She was hesitant at first but after a few licks she went to town on that pupaccino! We will definitely be getting more of those for her. read more

Nice location with a drive thru. There's street parking and a garage nearby too. I was there in the late afternoon and most of the seating was taken. Lots of people come here to study or chat. I came to get a You Are Here Mug for my collection and it was a seamless process. The clerk was very friendly and I got my drink quicker than I could check in on Yelp with a picture. read more

Now with that said, Starbucks is slowly out pricing itself, however the store is always well kept, has a neat seating area with WiFi, and great snacks. Let's not forget, the coffee it simply awesome. My review is on the service I received today. I pulled up to the drive thru speaker and was asked to wait. After at least a minute and a half, the girl finally asked to take my order. By this time there were 5 other cars behind me. I gave her my order, a tall decaf brown sugar latte with an extra shot of syrup. Simple, right? She asked me to repeat it, which I did. Then she repeated it back to me but added a shot of espresso instead of the syrup. So I said, wait, let me start over so that we are on the same page. I again repeated my order (4th time). So I pull to the window and wait. When she brought me my drink I asked again, did you add the 2nd shot of syrup? She said, no I added the espresso. I repeated for the 5th time what I had ordered. She seemed to get frustrated with me when it was clearly her issue. When she returned she said if you want extra syrup, ask for an extra pump next time. So it was now clear she was blaming me for her failure to listen to what I was saying. I still was polite and thanked her when I took my coffee but she said nothing in return to me. This girl does not need to be on the drive thru if her customer skills are no better than this. I didn't get her name but she is a tall, black girl with glasses. I hope management will give her more training on how to be kind to your customers as well as LISTENING skills! read more

The baristas at this Starbucks have very short fuses compared to other stores in the region. They always seem agitated. The floor is always dirty too. I've been here more than a few times and the experience is never worth writing home about. This morning whilst in the drive thru around 10:30am I watched a cup of iced coffee be passed through the window to the individual in the car directly in front of me, the person tasted the coffee and sat for a while. Upon returning to the window the gentleman in the window took said coffee back from the person, I'm no genius but when I pulled up what appeared to be the same coffee was sitting on the counter! I said something to the guy in the window and he literally was just like ok! This is disgusting, unsanitary, against Health Department regulations and certainly unsafe with COVID out here!!! read more
