Everyone at this location is very knowledgeable. I frequently visit this location, and have yet to come across a drink these baristas can't create with expert precision. Great environment with free WiFi that is easy to log onto. Also a nice outdoor sitting area. There customer service is top notch they have always been glad to fix any mistake. Even to the extent of it being my fault for the error. Customer service like this is hard to find. With the drive through and convenient parking it's very easy to get in and out of this location. Faster service than one would expect. Overall I highly recommend this starbucks for its very personal and educated staff coupled with a very efficiently run business. read more

First they had not heard of a drink we get all the time so we had to order something else, then one of our 3 drinks was made incorrectly. It took 21 minutes for the three drinks to be made and by then our food was cold. When I asked nicely about the drinks a server said sorry we are 30 minutes behind on drinks even though the drive thru cars kept moving right along no problem. I guess if you walk in you need to be picking up a mobile order or an Uber Eats delivery to matter. Will not go back to this location as this was not my first negative experience here! read more

I came in while all their brewed coffee machines were down and while their mobile orders were not coming in, and I have never seen such great service under pressure. They had a rep at the door making sure all orders were correct and then some, while apologizing profusely for the circumstances beyond their control. For a weekend rush, they performed so well under pressure and made sure the wait was compensated to the best of their ability. Praises to the team for working so well together under a stressful situation and apologizing for things beyond their control! So I'm in the area near this Starbucks relatively often, and God knows, I've been to a million Starbucks. So that being said, I think this one does a really good job. The drive thru moves quickly, I've never gotten a drink that wasn't perfect, and the crew, no matter who it's been has always been prompt, friendly, accurate and professional. There's a great patio out front for when the weather is nice, and plenty of seating inside where you can kick back and spend some time working, meeting friends or just people watching while consuming copious amounts of caffeine. If I was parked in a spot where the distance to 4 Starbucks was the same, I would always drive to this one, if for nothing else than to deal with the crew here. The personalities of the baristas is the 2nd most important part of a coffeshop, and its only 2nd to the coffee. The Starbucks in Cahaba Heights has both. Great experience every time! And a special shout out to Katy, who knows my drink before I even order. Sometimes you just get that person in your local spot who remembers you and that makes a big impact on the experience you have as a customer. Its good to be recognized, and even better to be recognized and to get great service and great coffee. All Starbucks are not created equal. The past 4 times I've been to this location, they have consistently been out of the spinach and feta wrap. I have been first thing in the morning in the time span between 7:00-8:00 AM twice and they were out both times. As well as for lunch between 11-1 and were out both times then too. Each time I go back thinking, "surly they won't be out AGAIN" and sure enough they always are. Extremely aggravating! Don't feature an item on your menu and then not ever have it! read more

The worst location in Birmingham. The orders are never made right and the way they fill mobile makes zero sense. They will make half your order and then you wait over 20 minutes for the other portion. Someone needs to manage the flow and process of this store. Gosh... You guys know how much I support local. I just happened to be early for a meeting across the street from this Starbucks location (and possibly a few others). It made it an easy choice to park myself here for a quick perk me up. The people at this location have always been extremely nice. They're all flying around at break neck speed and getting orders out in no time. The coffee was hot and really, really fresh. On top of that, they've got some pretty great breakfast sandwiches. This Starbucks is tucked away in the Cahaba Heights area, behind The Summit. It's probably not the most convenient location, but it's nice to have something in this area. The location isn't that spacious, so don't expect to find easy seating during peak hours. It's a Starbucks. And it's pretty much the norm. I'm only reviewing for those who aren't normally in the area and are completely unaware of HOW BUSY THIS PLACE IS ON A WEEK DAY MORNING! It's a very small Starbucks so long lines inside and at the drive thru. So be prepared. The regulars seem to be used to the tight quarters and long lines. It's obvious there's not another coffee shop close by. EVERYONE in this neighborhood apparently likes Starbucks. It's kinda out of the way for the average person just driving around the area. It's tucked away and really seems to be only for those who live in the area. I have been a Starbucks fan but after I realized I didn't NEED it, I enjoyed going to local places. They aren't as cookie-cutter. I remember when Starbucks closed down several BHAM locations, including those that were just blocks off the interstate (see Roebuck) or closer to high traffic areas. I get it...the Roebuck area isn't Starbucks normal demographic, but it was right off I-59 and was appealing to travelers coming into or leaving the city. Easy to get to. Now there's no place to get coffee on that side of town except for the Starbucks in Trussville. Starbucks is more of a status symbol than a quality place to get coffee. I stopped here one morning because I needed something stronger than my normal cup of coffee from work. But it was kinda out of the way. Here's hoping that eventually there will be another coffee shop that will open in area that's easier to get to as I drive to work. read more

I usually work from either the Irondale or Hoover Hwy 31 store, this was my first time here. Ordered black dark roast, and it tasted a bit watery. The weren't playing a Starubucks playlist over the speakers, it seemed like someone's 1990's iPod playlist.. Pretty lame. The service was friendly and prompt, however. Store cleanliness and atmosphere was great, again, minus the 90's flashback. Probably won't come here again, good coffee is just too important when you go to a coffee shop. Omg. I am OBSESSED with Starbucks! I probably get it every other day if not every day. My favorite food item is the bacon egg bites. These are super good for breakfast or as a snack. I am typically a local biz supporter, but there are certain measures one takes when you need coffee. So this is my GO-2 place. It beats burnt coffee at the Chevron. I particularly enjoy this Starbucks because many local Cahaba Heights people are drawn to connect here which brings a local vibe to it. The staff is great and friendly even when pre-coffee partakers are not early in the morning. The inside is clean. It would be cool to see Starbucks take more of a local role in connecting the community together through various events such as board game nights, etc. Nonetheless, it's coffee and it's a good place to get it in a fix. read more

Ordered my normal Venti Hot White Chocolate Mocha...I pulled up to the window and the girl behind the mic had placed my order for a Grande...I politely told the guy at the window I ordered a "venti." The girl who apparently made it was not very happy I rejected the grande so she went back with the grande, poured it out, and then gave me warm milk in a venti cup. Odd. I visited this location one day during "Frappy hour", and they were absolutely slammed. I really wasn't expecting much, because it just seemed like a MAD house. But, I reached my turn in line, where I met a very friendly, warm, and funny man named Sheldon. He really did make me want to return to this location at all times. Excellent customer service skills!! And then I forgot to tell him no whip because I was memorized by his people skills and friendliness, so I asked the baristas whenever they got to my drink, no whip please and they were way more cool about then I imagined, despite the insane amount of different kinds of drinks coming in and going out. This Starbucks generally has great service...this morning, the young guy at the window never acknowledged me...the only words he spoke was the dollar amount of my drink...I was waiting for a "good morning" or "have a nice day" that I thought I would get seeing as I was the customer. So $4.63 later and a rude experience really bugged me. I called to ask if they were open because yelp said that they closed in 19 minutes and she informed me that they just started closing the Starbucks stores at nine every night except for on Saturdays.
