The orders looked very complex as they were varied but both Elena and Jacob did a great job to help me out put in all the orders from the list accurately. Haven't been to this location in a long time. But I was near here so I popped in and we sat. I totally enjoyed the new Dubai chocolate bite. It is just the right size for such intensity of a Dubai chocolate. I didn't even know they had it so it was just a great surprise. It's really nice to see them greet. Everyone is they come in and you can tell a lot of them are regulars. The music is a little bit loud so it's not conducive to speaking with friends or anything, but if you're here by yourself, it is most excellent. read more

I usually get a Triple Iced Espresso with some sort of flavor in it, and I don't usually review chains but I LOVE this Starbucks. They have so many great team members; Jodee, CJ, Ricky, and Luis just to name my favorites. It's a bit small inside compared to other Starbucks but if you come in the late afternoon there is usually room to sit. I love it! read more

First time at this location in Bakersfield. We are spending the days at the hospital for a family member and the Starbucks on site at Adventist health is closed on Saturday!?! Why would a Starbucks be closed on a Saturday? Crazy! Anyway closest one was this location. Parking was okay in our big truck, but no way to fit in drive thru. Walking up there is two tables with umbrellas to sit outside. Looked clean and organized inside, couple people ahead of us. Line moved quick and we received our drinks in a reasonable amount of time. I went to this location last night at 6:51 and walked in and the store was empty. I had a mobile order and walked up to the mobile order area and one barista said hi and one just dead stared at me without greeting me like I was a problem waiting there. She proceeded to work on drive thru orders and finally came up to me and asks my name, hands me two super hot drinks without cup sleeves on them, I say thank you so much regardless and she goes "mmhm" In the most annoyed manner. It wasn't even busy to be acting like that but okay then. I'm only rating 3 stars cause at least the drinks were good even though my hands got burnt on the way out to the car lol read more

I went in today for a mobil order I had placed and it was ready within the first 5 minutes of being there. When I went up to grab my two drinks one seemed to have less than the other. I asked one of the girls if they could add just a bit more and she seemed to think my request wasn't worth of her time so she passed it to her coworker. I believer her name is Nena and she made a face and completely ignored me for a few minutes until asking another coworker to do it. I usually never have an issue at this location but that employee should really fix her attitude. read more

I've visited this Starbucks, located on the Southeast corner of 24th & L in the the Village Towne Centre strip mall, many times over the last ten year. I'm surprised to just be reviewing it for the first time now. Its location just North of downtown Bakersfield makes it an ideal halfway point for meeting my friends who live on the Eastside. Most of my early memories of this location are meeting fellow yelper Kate B for coffee dates that turned into marathon catch-up-on-each-other's-lives sessions. It doesn't look like much from this outside. There is a tiny section of sidewalk out front that boasts five chairs, three tables, one green Starbucks umbrella (and a partridge in a pear tree - not). What the outside lack in charm, the inside more than makes up for. I'm always surprised by how compact this Starbucks is inside. Space is at a premium and they've packed everything you'd expect in a Starbucks into the space provided, and all of it decorated in the soothing Earthy tones Starbucks in known for. This Starbucks has a drive-through that is very convenient for anybody headed West on the 178 to grab a drink on their way downtown or to the West side. I've never had a bad drink here; my favorites are the lattes: hazelnut, vanilla, or caramel during the majority of the year or gingerbread, eggnog, chestnut praline, or pumpkin spice during the holiday season. If you're not into the fru-fru expresso drinks, try not to forget that you can purchase regular coffee here, too! Today I celebrated the holiday season with a venti Chistmas Blend coffee. The barista forgot to leave room for me to add the creamer, but that was easily remedied at the self-service coffee preparation station. I love that they have the brown packets of raw sugar here; they're my favorite when I order a black coffee, though their lattes are so sweet they don't usually need adulteration. Parking is a little tight around lunch time, but I'm mostly here in the evenings so that doesn't become an issue often. read more
