This is by far the most unorganized group of kids who work for Starbucks. I have used the mobile order here a handful of times and each time my mobile order takes longer than it would have to stand in line. A few of the times I saw my order sitting in the back. Other locations call out your mobile order, but this store you have to squeeze your way to their glass window, stand on your toes to see if your cup is somewhere cooling off in the back, then interrupt them from what they are doing only to ask if your drink is ready and to receive an annoyed look from the barista. Some Starbucks are better than others. This one used to be one of the best one around years ago. Management must have changed because the service is terrible now. I keep giving them extra chances because hey, anyone can have a bad day. They often chat behind the counter amongst themselves while customers have to wait. I really don't mind that unless it's consistent, which it is here. The last 2 times I went in they were out of Soy. The first time I waited in a long line only to be told "Oh, sorry, we are out of soy." The second time was 12:30 on a weekday. It was empty so that was good since I was in a hurry. "Sorry, we are out of Soy" Whatttttttt? I asked him "How can you be out of Soy?" he said "We used up too much Soy". .....Seriously?? now this is a nice coffee location. i'm not a big coffee drinker but i stopped into this starbucks the other day just for the free itunes download of the day. my friends bitter:sweet were being featured so i had to stop in and grab my download. the parking lot is huge so there was plenty of parking and the crowd that day were older for the most part and definitely more relaxed than i have seen before. as i approached the counter i looked around for the free download card but saw alot of darn gift cards and other music cards. i reached for one card i thought could be it and ended up knocking over the entire display of eddie vedder cd's onto the floor. now i looked like an idiot. luckily i gathered them all up quickly and found the cards i was looking for and was able to grab a handful when the lady at the counter wasn't looking. well now i felt i had to order something so i ended up getting a black tea with lemonade. it cost me 3 bucks but at least i got this sweet n sexy song. i only had to wait a couple of minutes for my drink but i was able to make my way over to a comfy couch. they called out my drink and i was on my way. sure i don't drink coffee much but i can tell you of the experiences in these places and i can surely tell you that this starbucks location is on of the best i have been to. just hope you can avoid the crowds like i did. and take my advice and give a listen to bitter:sweet as you wont be sorry! http://www.bittersweetmusic.com/ read more

If the baristas and cashiers here were any friendlier, they'd be working at Disneyland! Seriously. We walked in on a Saturday morning and were greeted with a remodeled new interior and a gaggle of chipper Starbucks staff behind the counter. Really. There were 2 cashiers, 2 baristas, and 2 additional staff. All of them were laughing and chatting. It was like walking into a party. We had a great time chatting with our cashier, Andres (make sure to say his name with an Antonio Banderas accent : ) and the barista who made our drinks, Caitlin (spelled *correctly* ; ) I do only patronize this location on a rare weekend as a stopover on my way down 680, but I always choose *this* location because of the friendly and quick service. read more

I like this Starbucks. It's pretty convenient from the freeway and I can always find parking. It's on the smaller side and they have outdoor seating which is nice. I typically use Starbucks when I'm out running errands as a bathroom stop and quick caffeine fill so I can make it through the next errands. There bathroom is clean which I really appreciate!! I am not a big fan of Starbucks coffee as it seems pretty weak. Folger's is stronger, but I don't buy it. Just using as an example ;) I drop in here to get a "girly-man" drink like a caramel macchiatto or a green tea late- but only a half dozen times per year. This place has good service and is well maintained. It is the local coffee shop. I go to Pete's for my espresso and black drip coffee as it is stronger and more flavorful than "bucks". This is probably my first Starucks review. Usually I go to Peet's. Anyway, I've had the iced coffee here twice and it's pretty good. Today I wanted a Iced Decaf Coffee and was told they don't have any. I was going to walk away when the cashier offered a Iced Decaf Americana. Two shots of espresso over ice. It was really good! I am not sure if I should write this review becuase it is based soley on service. I went to Starbucks this morning with a co-worker (I prefer YellowWood) and I only had a glass of water and bought a mocha frap for my wife. I believe that is what my co-worker also had. Regardless of all of that - the reason for the review is to talk about Miss angry cashier - wow - I have never felt like I wanted to slap someones mom in the face. She was so rude, not only to me but to other co-workers. I think that this Starbucks sucks. Most of the people are in and out for their morning fix. Weird that this location has not been Yelped before. It has been here since I've lived in Alamo. I came in this afternoon craving some coffee. However since I am currently on medication, I can only have decaf. I asked for a "Decaf Cafe Misto" and the Barista tells me, "I'm sorry. But we don't serve decaf after 12pm"!!?!?!??!? WTF! Shouldn't it be MORE important that decaf is available after 12pm vs. before?? Very strange. Luckily they were able to make me a decaf latte, but I really wanted a drink made with coffee. read more

It seems weird to be sitting outside at Starbucks in mid-January (in 70 degree weather), but thanks to some nice outdoor bistro tables, that's exactly what I am doing! This Starbucks has the potential to be great! The baristas and staff are very friendly and they strive to make each order "custom". The ownership is something else... The seating is small, intimate and, when the weather is nice, outdoor seating is pleasant. Also the WiFi is excellent, easy parking. The only issue I have is that the coffee shop is usually intolerably cold. If it's cold outside and you're coming inside to warm up and get a hot cup of coffee or chocolate you will be surprised to find that the indoor temperature is ~ 66 degrees. (Owner's policy... no changing that). On 2 other occasions the music was turned up; once it was truly loud. On one occasion, I requested that the sound be turned back a bit; and was told (by the owner) that the radio didn't have a volume control !!! Whaaat ?? So all-in-all good coffee and chocolate; just wear a warm coat and ear protection! read more

Seems to be the regular awesome crew here these days. Bless these girls for putting up with all the elite "AlaMOANians"...I can only imagine what they go through servicing the people around here...They always take your order fast and keep things moving. INFLATION EXPLODES at Starbucks Note this is a comment about Starbucks pricing not about Alamo Starbucks in particular which has great service. Every now and then I stop in for a smoothie, price is $4.25 and it includes a banana. Today I went in and the new improved smoothie (not!) is $5.95 - but wait - if you want a banana in it add another $1! So the new price is $6.95, a 64% price increase. This was my first and last at this price. Coffee drinkers please weigh in if your beverage has increased in price.So far government stats show little inflation, hmmm, we'll see. read more

First time at a Starbucks in over a year. I ordered an iced coffee, it took longer than all the frozen frap/ ice tea drinks that were ordered after me. I have never waited so long for a drink at a Starbucks, especially for a plain coffee drink. Then when I recieved it, the coffee was watered down more than if I had made it at home. I love this spot. They are friendly, it's always clean, a little crowded but that's okay. Great outdoor seating and you can have your dogs outside. A million Alamo/Danville moms in workout gear, some dudes on laptops, and then the neighborhood regulars. It's sweet and normal. Parking lot can be annoying but whatever. This is a great stop off the Iron Horse Trail, or grab a coffee and enjoy a stroll! read more

If ever there was an ideal location for a coffee shop between work and home, this Starbucks is in a great spot. Conveniently located off Interstate 680, it's easy to grab a cup of coffee in the morning or when the traffic heading home is a mess, stop by and relax while letting it clear up. The store is always clean and the associates I have encountered have always been polite, friendly and make one feel welcome to their store. The feeling when one steps inside is relaxed and stress free, even on days when they are busy with drink orders left and right. Will continue to visit this location. This place can be anywhere from 1 star to 5 stars depending on who's working. The manager is definitely a 1 along with a few staff members. But if you go in when Jonathon or Becca are working this place is an easy 5 stars. They care for every customer and know almost everyone by name. I don't know if its the area, but this Starbucks location has some of the rudest baristas. I usually order by mobile so that its ready when I get there and the drinks are ALWAYS sitting behind the barista on the counter. You then have to get their attention (which is not easy) and ask for your drink. The problem with this is that some of the baristas making drinks don't like to be interrupted so asking them for your order is made to seem like a huge inconvenience as a customer. They even have a sign saying where to go to pick up your order. I actually dread picking up my mobile order now because I never know which snooty barista is going to be working that day. I usually go to Peet's because the baristas are nicer but sometimes going to Starbucks for a mobile order is faster. However, what should be fast turns into me feeling like I've had to beg for my order from some irritated barista. I wish they'd just leave he finished mobile order drinks on the bar. Making people ask seems counter intuitive and just irritates the baristas and in turn the customers. I hope they get it together. Mobile order is a great feature when it works correctly. **Edit to previous review*** This Starbucks location has continued to get worse after my last review one year ago. Just this morning I used the mobile order function on the Starbucks app to order my coffee. My order went through on the app at 8 AM and I was there to pick up my order by 8:05am. I had to ask the barista doing the mobile orders multiple times if my order was coming up or done. The first time, the Barista snappily said "its in the line" after an additional 10 minutes of waiting. After 25 minutes of waiting (yes, you read that correctly- 25) and about 20 other orders had gone out before mine I asked again about my order. The barista then apologized and moved mine at the front of the line. While I was offered a pastry as compensation, I was already made to feel like a jerk for having to ask about my order so many times. Honestly, I just wanted my coffee since I had somewhere to be. Also worth noting, this location is super small compared to other ones and you're forced to crowd around the pickup counter. I've also noticed that the baristas at this particular location never seem to be able to keep up with the amount of orders and timing. But they always have time to chat and complain with one another. I consistently wait 10 or so minutes for a mobile orders. The manager also seems stressed and running around a lot. I only frequent this location because there isn't another one for miles (except Safeway- which doesn't accept mobile orders). Overall, I wish I could avoid this location because the quality and customer service just keep getting worse. read more

I happen to know most of the people that work at this Starbucks, including the manager you are talking about and I have NEVER had a problem with any of them. Not in the 3 years I have been going to this store....DAILY. The service is usually good and the food and coffee as well. However last week I bought the xmas coffee and asked for the bag to be ground even though there were pre-ground bags but I wanted fresh ground. The barista informed me that they have pre-ground already and I told her that I know but would like mine ground and I have a flat filter. Then boom my coffee was ready but I didn't hear the machine while I was putting money on my gold card (I didn't think that I needed to verify). But I asked her if she was done already and said that was fast. She confirmed that she was done and that she was fast. Huh! I get home and see that the bag was sealed/glued shut because it was one of the pre-ground bags. Ha! I guess she thought that I wouldn't know the difference. Hey Starbucks don't hire a barista who pulls fast ones on customers then takes the credit for being good for things she didn't even do. What a turkey. read more

I go to this location everyday, everyday that the manager is there I receive her attitude and unpleasantness, today, I had the nice gentlemen to make my drink so I will not have to encounter the rude lady as she never lets anyone else make our drinks, he said he would make it and and he started and she more less pushed him out and my drink was cold when I received it, they no I like it really really hot, and she did not do so, I let the gentlemen no and due to her being there, he said next time it is on him, what I have to wait until next time. You need to put this unpleasant Manger Girl else where, all your employees are complaining about her as well and quitting, I can see why as a customer.
