StarBread bakery is a small, no-frills spot that has that "all about the food", authentic vibe. It's tucked in a shopping center with a private lot. Just enough room for a handful of people to stand inside and drool over the baked goodies on display. Staff: The woman who greeted me was extra friendly and quickly grabbed what I asked for. She also reminded me of the need for napkins. Bless her heart. Food: The señorita bread is small but packs a lot of flavor. Ooey gooey and sweet so no complaints. If I wanted more, I would have just ordered more! The plain bitso-bitso strikes a nice balance of a little crunchy on the outside and soft/moist on the inside. It was amazing. Glad I ordered both! So excited we have a Starbread! I've had it in Sacramento and now it's local! Right across from the mall hiding next to a dry cleaner across from Giant Chef. I ordered a 10pc señiorita bread $4 (thought Inam the only one eating it). My kids loved it, it literally was piping hot the way it should be! So yummy we are going back tomorrow! Tiny adorable rolls with sugary goodness glaze on the bottom. Sooo good!!! It's a super tiny place so U order & out. In addition they also had a cupcake, and a few other pastry eats. Our go-to for Filipino sweet bread rolls called "Senorita" rolls. A small sweet bread roll, that you can't eat just one. At least, I can't resist eating just one. I always end up eating several. There are other stores in the area that sell Senoritas, but StarBread has the best and always has them to purchase. The only reason for 4 Stars, is because we have to drive a ways to get them and sometimes the parking is scarce, it's worth it to get these delicious rolls. read more

INSIDE; this place is small and can get crowded easily so don't bring the whole family in with you. SERVICE: everyone so far has been down to earth. I usually go there after my first class so there's no line while I'm there (around 9:30am). service is quick and prompt too. PRICES FOR SENORITA BREAD: very inexpensive for the pieces you want. And the prices are set so no added tax prices. $2: 5 pcs $4: 10 pcs $6: 15 $8: 20 $10: 25 $12: 30 $16: 40 $20: 50 $24: 60 Tip: if you haven't been here, I'm just going to tell you now: don't bother with the small amounts unless it's for yourself. Stopped in to pick up some Seniorita bread for a nearby potluck I was attending. I asked for a couple boxes - one for personal use and one for sharing. It's the same price - 40 cents per each bread no matter how many each or boxes you get. I ordered and paid it. They said it would be a few minutes. Ended up being more like 10-12 minutes. I waited outside as it was breezier and cooler than inside the store. But the lady who helped us brought out the boxes and wished us well. They were warm and tasty - best enjoyed right away. The senorita bread is decent...its fairly tasty, but lacks the addictive quality I find in some other baked goods. The donuts are overpriced ($1.50) and pretty standard, nothing special. But good god, the cashier was one of the most miserable people I've encountered. She obviously did not want to be there, as she mumbled every word, and looked like she was pissed off from being there. Terrible attitude. I was a little skeptical about going to a bakery that just serves bread but I'm am so glad I went. I didn't realize until that day StarBread señorita bread is my favorite thing on earth! Definitely buy some if you stop by! They taste like an amazing piece of bread covered in butter, sugar, and deliciousness! The bakery itself is very small, no seating but still delicious. The employees were very friendly and especially helpful. What I really love about this place is you don't have to order the dish you want online, you can just walk in and get your amazing dessert. Senorita Breads are definitely a life changer. I could put down a box of 40 by myself, hands down. It is almost like a Chinese Coconut bow but a million times better. Definitely eat it warm. Microwave it at home if you have leftovers. But you most likely wont have any leftovers after eating one. Pan de ube bag had mold all over it . I grabbed the 2nd 3rd 4th 5th bag all had mold . Left all of them on the counter . The last bag in the back was mold free. I asked the Latin lady at the counter when this was baked and why it didn't have a date on it . The last bag was baked Monday . Today is Sunday . I first tried the Senorita bread from StarBread Bakery when my wife hosted Book Club and one of the other women brought a box to the meeting. I really enjoyed the soft, chewy bread with the perfect amount of sweetness. Earlier this week, my wife and I were walking by StarBread and we decided to treat ourselves to some of the Senorita bread. We noticed that they also had raised doughnuts and a few other pastries, so I ordered a glazed doughnut and a hot dog and cheese roll. Unfortunately, we did not have cash on us (because it is 2018 and who seriously carries cash anymore?) and StarBread has a $10 credit card minimum. We had to go across the street to 7-11 and waste money on gum just to get cash back. I understand that StarBread is a small, local business but they could at least accept credit card and charge a convenience fee for purchases under $10. Refusing to accept credit card at all is just bad business practice. In any event, we got the cash and purchased our baked goods. The Senorita bread and hot dog roll were excellent. The doughnut was pretty disappointing though. Instead of having a thin, crisp exterior and light, airy interior, the doughnut was really similar to the bread. The exterior was too think and chewy to be a normal doughnut and the inside was much too dense. Their doughnuts are basically just Senorita bread shaped like a doughnut. At $1.50 per doughnut, you are better off just going to Safeway and getting doughnuts there. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with StarBread. The Senorita bread was great, but everything else was substandard. read more

I got hooked on Starbread's senorita bread from a co-worker who kept bringing a box to potlucks. This was my first visit to a Starbread. I didn't know there was a location in PH until I drove by it one day. This location is easy to access and has plentiful parking. The storefront is small and the ask is for one person at a time to come in. So, the line is outside the store. People came prepared to wait, wearing warm jackets & gloves, and the line moved quickly. Starbread only has breads. They do not sell or serve coffee or drinks. There is a $10 minimum to pay by card. Service is very hospitable and prompt. The senorita bread is served warm and it stays warm for a while in the box. I didn't realize that Starbread is a family business until I got on Yelp-which makes me like this business even more.
