I love this mail salon! It is right near my house and everyone that works there is amazing! The shop is always super clean and well taken care of. The staff is friendly and always helpful with making my last minute appointments. They have many color selections for dip nails and I think these came out great. I have gotten dip done here maybe 4 times now and they have never broken like when I have gotten my nails dipped at some other shops. They also do great pedicures and have very reasonable prices! I came here for the 1st time for a pedi today. First thing I noticed is they bring the tools in a box and not in a sanitized sealed bag showing they are clean..... Another thing I noticed but was she was using a USED WORN DOWN FOOT SCRUB on my feet! That completely grossed me out. She dried it after using it on me and placed it back in her basket. She also dried and saved the filter that goes in the pedi tub. I would not come here again. It's too unsanitary and anyone can easily get a fungus. Nice ladies. But that doesn't cut it. read more

Really nice ppl, but not a good place for nails. I've gone twice, for a new set and a fill in. Each time was worse. First time, cuticles bleeding, forming of nails were hideous as some nails she made flat, some with natural curve, some with dips and the nail were wide. Tried giving them a second time Fill in, cuticles were raggedy, and it looked like I had several fill-ins instead of my first filling. $45 first time and $40 for the fill in.. I had a French manicure and it is very embarrassing to show my nails . I can't go back. read more

Just moved here and took my mom and myself for pedicures. My moms technician was good, friendly and normal. But my technician made me feel like she was talking about me. She would ask me questions then speak to another worker and laugh, then turn to me and ask another question, then turn to worker and speak in their language and laugh. It happened at least three times. She was asking invasive questions to that i normally wouldn't be put off by but the laughing and speaking to other worker in their language after was a bit suspicious. For that alone I wouldn't come back. They also didn't offer a very good selection of pedicures or other services. The $35 pedicure was just a simple pedicure that most other places start at $25. Not impressed and doubt I'll be back. read more

I will never come to this place again. They are incredibly overpriced and have no idea how to do nails or toes. I got a pedicure and I may as well have done that shit myself. Coming out of corona my feet looked a little jacked up and they didn't even look different when I left except for the fact that my toes were painted. My nails are disastrous I asked for coffin shaped nails and I don't even know what the hell these are. In addition to that she painted my nails like a six-year-old with gel polish. When you're a new customer to this Star Nails 76006 location, you're treated well the 1st visit and nail technician takes her time. However, on the 2nd visit, same nail technician who worked on you the last time hurries you even when no clients are waiting and she doesn't have appointments because staff would inform her when a client is coming so you hear everything. Nail color selection is sparse meaning there are no shades of a specific color to choose from if you're looking for a light pink-purple color that's not too dark to stain neither too light to look like you don't have any color on. The owners themselves did not seem to appreciate my business on my last visit. In fact the Chinese lady at the front desk who greets you when you walk in and who takes inventory of the books is pushy with herself making remarks that was out of line after I paid cash & asked for a receipt as proof of payment. read more

I have been coming to Star Nails since 2005. I have only had to change my mail tech one time in the last 13 years. Kim in my go-to girl for the same pink/white square-tip solar nails. I get them extra short because I was a server for a long time, now it's just habit. She is awesome because she remembers that I have really thin nails and thin cuticles, so she takes her time and doesn't get too close. She is also great at pedicures. Actually, all the ladies in the salon are good at pedicures. I've tried them all (but only Kim can do my nails just the way I like them ). I just recently started getting my eyebrows waxed out of sheer laziness, and, no surprise, they're great at waxing too. I'm going to have my underarms done next time I go in. I used to love this place & wouldn't let anywhere else touch my nails!! was sooo disappointed my last visit that I would have to move on. I had one gel nail that chipped after a few days. I was willing & prepared to pay to have it fixed! I called in advance each & every time & was told to come in & it would be fixed. I was turned on to this place by the manager at a tanning salon because her nails were gorgeous, so I went straight there, and saw Kim, who she recommended. She did great. It didn't have the elegant look inside like the places I prefer to go to, but we're in Texas y'all, and we know those kind of places have the best tacos, right?!? It was my first time to get the Pink & White, too, and now I won't go back to regular. Also, she told me that when I come back for a fill-in, she actually takes the white off, and starts over. This place was horrible first time went to get dip taken off and the lady was so rude and she made my nails so thin and short. Thought maybe it was just a fluke so I went a few days later to get new dip put on this lady was rough and kept flicking my knuckles to get the excess powder off and all of the dip was cracking by the next day.
