I was given the…read morerecommendation after our previous burner was served to be too troublesome and eventually not operable and not worth the retro that was also an option. teach Steve and Henry both gave me their recommendations. when I decided to replace with a new unit , sales advisor Frank came and recommended the unit and financing assist. The next day Frank helped with the steps that needed to be done and was very helpful and I was all set for the install. said they would be here the next day at 7:30am . the two Techs Steve and Andrew showed up at 7:30 and explained what they would do and conti to do the work. They completed the work . they were very professional and was very happy with their work. I would recommend Petro to others. I've had them for almost 10 years and always satisfied with the service.

Because of a law…read morechange in NYS, Fuel Oil Companies must have at least 10% bio fuel in their deliveries as of 7/1/25 which means Fuel Oil Delivery customers get a partial NYS tax refund based upon the gallons delivered and the percentage of Bio Fuel. EVERY single oil fuel delivery company I've called, except for Petro, promptly informed me that as of 7/1/25 they have 10% biofuel delivered to their clients. Petro apparently is not aware that there is a NYS tax refund for oil deliveries that contain 6% or more bio fuel. I called Petro 2 times and I emailed them. They never answered my email. All the CSRs told me was "it's up to 20%" which does not answer the question. How much is being delivered NOW? PETRO, YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS WILL BE A BIGGER DEAL IN 2026 FOR NYS TAX REFUNDS IN 2026.

    I have advocated as positive as I can for Bottini while not lowering my score for them, however…read moreyesterday this weekend was not necessary. As a customer I am on a fixed payment plan and locked in pricing, I agree to delivery on their schedule using their forecasting tool that tells them what my tank should read. It has never been accurate, in fact as of this weekend it was off by 25%. Now this is important as you get close to needing fuel. It they have me higher then I will run out if I trust their forecasting, but I can upgrade for $150 to a digital that they can monitor in real time. This has led me to have many conversations, especially when doing a contract. I make sure it is okay to call in a request and not go by fate of the oil gods. It is never an issue. They even have a spot in the app that you can do that for that reason. EVERY time, someone tells me I do not need a delivery. Every time, I have to call and explain - this is what my gauge reads. I know you service a huge client base. I am sending an awareness message as at times it can take a week or more to get on a delivery schedule. Oh, okay. Saturday, I was told my tank is not as low as I said. Excuse me? I'm looking at it. Well, what changed? Perhaps the 20 degree temperatures and single to teen overnight lows? The month prior we were 30/40 degree days and 20 overnights. Maybe I am using more hot water? Who cares. You don't need a delivery as you should only use 10 gallons a day. Well, if you need us to deliver this week or keep calling we can remove you from fixed pricing and terminate your contract. We cannot just add you to our delivery as emergent as there are people who need oil more! No one asked to be added to todays cycle or even this weeks. I sent a request indicated the tank level which is an option. You determine when to place me into rotation knowing that your forecast is incorrect. That's not how it works. We can charge you full price. Manager, Dana was no more helpful - coming out the gates very smug unless that's her speaking tone always to which, yikes. Basically I can deliver on Thursday or she can cancel your contract. This being my option because when an agent threatens to cancel my fixed pricing or contract, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Dana went on to tell me I abuse the system by calling in a request and that they never fill my tank completely and that I waste their time when drivers could be servicing those in need. It didn't matter I was told I should call when the tank is at 3/8 to 1/4 to let them know to get me adjusted in the schedule. It doesn't matter that they are given the precise level and can determine where I should fit in the delivery schedule. It also doesn't matter that this is only a winter issue and in the summer they use their forecast and have delivered a few times when my tank was more than 50%. Manager Kelly was more helpful and notated my account that I can call in and that they can determine when to schedule as I have never demanded a deliver within a day, I am merely saying I need one with the next weeks. I was told that more home owners should be like me and give an appropriate heads up as they no rally get people without oil in emergency. If that's the case, then why did everyone before argue me? Between being threatened to be cancelled, having a driver tell me that they would not deliver because my drive way a sheet of ice in which I sent real time pictures and there was one area of wet slush on a 40 degree day, and a propane tank that was leaking for a week before I was taken seriously that my tank smelled and something was wrong, a technician charging me to turn a screw that my wife said I could handle later but it's not a problem he was in the radiator but conveniently forgot to mention if he turned the screw 1/8 of a turn and then back this was a full service charge - I think it's time for management to really listen to their customer experience.

    Have been a Bottini propane heat customer since 2006. They've allowed my tanks to run empty at…read moreleast twice despite the fact that I am on an autofill plan and have a CC on file to charge. This can be a dangerous problem in winter (frozen pipes). I am now currently almost empty again and it's going down to -1F tonight. This despite paying for an annual contract with them (Gremlin device) to monitor the tank levels wirelessly (so they know when they are low). Still, they let me nearly run empty. I called their customer service twice today but no one picked up (even on the emergency line where I waited on hold for over 10 min twice and never spoke to a person). I will call them at 8am tomorrow morning and demand immediate fuel delivery and an explanation. This will be my last winter with Bottini, I've had it.

    Run from this company they're a bunch of crooks. Received $176 Bill for 24 gallons. Never knew they…read moredelivered it. No ticket left as well. Notified me months later. Made a payment on the ninth of hundred dollars and now they are harassing me that they're coming to lock my tank for the other $76 three days later. From the reviews I read about this company do not use them. They were very nice and accommodating three years ago, but from the experience I've had from this company after getting my business, they harass you for 11 bucks my tank rental which I understand quadrupled now. My tank was filled twice in three years. The first time it got locked because of 3 leaks on their end and it took them two weeks to unlock it and have it fixed the second time they say I only used 24 gallons. Do the math what a rip off.

    Suburban buys this company my propane tanks was from in my yard which I purchased this house 7…read moremonths ago, the tank was 1/2 full of propane the employee from Suburban walked right on my property, private property and locked my tank! No notice no nothing! Then came back and removed the tank! When I asked him who he was and what he was doing he stated "we bought this company and tank belongs to us". I ask why didn't you notify us, give us a heads up or offer to keep your company? he simply said "who we gonna contact we don't know who you are and this is just what we do". What bs is that. I said the world send mail everyday 'TO CURRENT RESIDENCE' So I called the company let them know what was going on here and the father in my house that has stage 4 cancer and terminal condition, kids in the house and you are taking the tank without notice. They said sure we can let you keep our propane for $3.95 a gallon and fill up a tank plus a gas check fee and another $77... to rent the tank per year on contract with us. Uh NO if this how you do business and take from a family with the father that has stage 4 cancer and terminal condition, kids in the house and stole my gas wow!!! Who would go with this company. I want my gas back!!!
