I am so disappointed with the print center for this store. I usually always come here for office needs and printing services, but lately, they have been super busy and only 1 or 2 employees working. You can tell they are working hard and you see the line of people. Turns out these two girls have helped 5 other people that came in after me and I am still waiting. Not good service at all. . Mnagement knows this so I don't see why they don't have another employee jump in or hire someone. It is ridiculous. I have been sitting here a half hour already and nothing.. As a teacher, I usually make my yearly treks to Staples for Back-to-School sales. I try and avoid office supply stores at all costs because office supplies are my crack. I can never have too many pens or too many Post-Its. I usually hit up their 1¢ Sales to stock up my classroom because it used to be that limits were 10 on 1¢ items for the "layman" and 35 for teachers. Because teachers were taxing them like crazy, and some [of us] were going to a few different Staples on the same day and going every day of the week because we got limits of 35, they have decided to change their policy. Today was the first day of their 1¢ Sale and I was told that limits are now 25 and you must purchase a minimum of $5 to partake in their 1¢ items. Not a problem, especially when I also needed glue sticks and those were $1 for a four pack. They are also limiting those items. The first two are $1 and the rest are normal price. While some may think this is a rant, it isn't. I love Staples. Not many places even give teachers this opportunity. Also, this store is always very clean and the staff is really helpful. The parking here can sometimes be atrocious because of the Chilis and the Olive Garden. Not to mention the Burlington Coat Factory next door and the rest of the small shops in the center. And don't forget to get your Rewards card. While you don't get an immediate discount, like you do at Office Depot, Staples will send you coupons and gift certificates for using your card. read more

Nice store. Very organized. One annoyance: I notice a offer on the credit card machine to save $5 on a purchase of $25 it more by texting a code. This was frustrating to me because there was not enough time to use the offer since I was already paying. When I asked the cashier about it she just said "I don't know" and didn't offer to find out. read more

I needed an image from a poster by company had printed back in June and only had an order # to reference. Christy (sp?) answered all of my questions quickly and had the image in question emailed to my personal account within 5 minutes of making the request. We needed some obituaries printed, and we had worked all day thinking that we were completely finished except for the printing. Once we had explained how we wanted them printed, Larissa pointed out some problems. I think she saw the look on our faces and immediately explained how to fix the problem. Walked in this morning to buy a phone case. Normally I would pay the asked price. But the case I wanted was $44.00 an with tax $49.57. So as I walked to the register I had asked the cashier which I believe was named jeney ? Not sure but it was around 9am on 1/24/18. However, she helped me greatly by telling me staples match prices to amazon. So long story short I got the case I wanted for a better price. Staples im on to you! Theyre taking advantage of people who dont have access to a printer. They charge 30cents per minute or $18 an hour to use the computer to print your document...$18!!! That damn computer is almost making what i make an hour!!! So you'd think if your going to say print some documents off a website $5 is surely enough since its about 5 minutes of credit. But this is where the scam is...the computers are SLOW AF! I was trying to log on to bankofamerica.com a COMMON site and of course for the first 6 tries it says cannot load website. Ok so i try another site now I'm trying my log in username and password and it will not take it after about the 15th time trying i come to realize the shift button isn't working so it NOT capitalizing the letters i need for my password!!! Well by the time i realize this the site has locked me out for too many attempts and now i have to call customer service. So of course this ate up my $5 before even making the call. So i switch to the other computer thinking ill have better luck. I load another $5 and log on as soon as i have my password reset only this computer is slower than the last one it took 46 seconds for google to load and another 50 for my website to load so that's $2 already...then of course its about .50 cents per page unless you're getting color then we re talking 90 some cents. So i go to print and wouldnt you know it it's auto set up on color printing so if youre not careful there's another $5....all in all could have avoided this if c-rings on Washingtons printer wasnt always broken. But i highly suggest you go there if you just need a computer ($3 an hour). All in all shame on you staples...at those prices I'd expect lightning fast internet not this dial up speed you have going on... read more

I don't usually give reviews for places like Staples (unless they really SUCKED or they are really great...usually the former) but I do want to leave a few sentences to say that my cashier was amazing. I wish I had her name but she was blonde and very talkative and friendly. No awkward pauses while I signed up for their rewards program, made an effort to ask me about my day, and actually listened to what I told her and responded back (also known as conversing). You would think that's not a big deal but TRUST me, if you are me, you encounter more people that hate life, their job, and everyone around them that coming across someone with people skills is a BIG deal. Purchased a laptop on Saturday which was advertised at 2.4gh processor. Service was shitty and the guy who checked me out kept sighing and clicking his damn tongue like he didn't wanna be there. After turning on the laptop and working on getting it setup, it seemed slow which make my husband check the settings. It actually came with a 1.6gh processor. My husband calls up today and the guy on the other end makes it seem as if it was knowingly advertised falsely. He offers to exchange for a laptop with 2.0gh. My husband decides to go through with the exchange and in the process leaves his charging cord at Staples. He calls and let's them know I'm coming to pick it up. I walk in staples and there's a worker at the front sitting on staples products getting loud with a customer. There's two people behind the copy center. One looks up at me and walks away without saying anything to me. After a little bit, someone walks up and asks if they can help. Then we all stood around twiddling our thumbs while they figured out what happened. So terribly disorganized and so unprofessional. If your manager allows what goes down there to happen then it's time your corporate step in. read more

I went into the copy center today to print out 5 images. I stood there for a while and was not acknowledged by either worker. When I did finally get someone's attention she was extremely rude, she made me feel dumb for not knowing how their mobile printing service worked. (This was my first time ever printing from a store) I went on to figure out the process on my own, not wanting to bother her with more questions and the printer jammed repeatedly. The second girl with shorter hair and glasses helped me and tried to fix the problem. After she left, the printer jammed once again and all the first girl could do was redirect me to the kinkos across the street. The kinkos may have cost a little more but the superior service was worth it. read more

So disappointed to the point I'm not coming back to Staples ever OR using their online store again. I had packed my printer away but had to have an online form printed out for my mother. So I called the Whittier Quad Staples store and talked to one of the sales people. She told me that it would be no problem, and since Mom is not computer-savvy, they would help her out as I was sick that day. Mom's 85 and disabled, but she's been in the business world from since her high school graduation until after retirement. She was treated SO POORLY and was made to feel guilty that she even showed up, asking for help. I had to finally pry the info out of her because she usually does not like talking trash about others. Talk about telling me one thing and treating my mother like a pariah? Sorry, guys, but you're on my poo-poo list. You are a service-providing industry. You do not have the liberty of taking out your personal frustration on customers, least of all my mother. Shame I couldn't have you fired on the spot, lady, because had I witnessed this myself, I would not have left that store until I saw you walk out with your personal belongings on your way to the unemployment office. I placed an online order for some K-Cup coffee pods, They CHARGED MY VISA, E-MAILED me MY RECEPT AND CONFORMATION NUMBER ETC. Then after rushing to the store to pick it up before they closed. After waiting in line for a few minutes I was told by a manager lady "ALL THE ONLINE ORDERS WERE CANCELED DUE TO A PRICING ERROR" (It was not that extream of a deal either!) Then I asked WHY THEY DID NOT LET ME KNOW via phone or even a simple email. I was told by the large *itchy lady "WELL YOU DID'NT GET A E-MAIL SAYING IT WAS READY TO PICK UP DID YOU?" Wow, I thought what a lame answer for total lack of customer care and service. I WILL NEVER shop here again.. And that's the trouble with large companies like this is they really don't care! Not unless something makes the TV news do they give a damn about a few simple customers here and there. read more

Unfortanetly whenever I come they do not have enough staff or machines working. The overall organization should better equip this location since it closed down their other stores in nearby cities. People come from different areas to use their services and they need to improve in how they meet these needs. read more

This staples has some good deals. I bought a few binders for school cheaper than Walmart prices. I was surprised. Their print and copy center is really good. They have a self service area that does the job. RICKY who works at the Print/Copy area has been a 10/10 help! Every time I'm in here he goes above and beyond. I have a document on my phone that was blurry and lopsided plus not filled out to the edges. He even went on photoshop and made my document perfect and printed it for me. He didn't have to. I decided to go to staples because the Google Chromecast was on sale in their weekly ad. Before this we came from the staples in La Habra and they were out of stock so we decided to call before hand. When I called, the customer service said they had 3 in stock so we headed right over. When we got there the same girl said that they had them and went to the back to check and they were in the damaged area, in other words they were out of stock. I wish some people would just get there head of their ass, stop assuming things and go check before they answer to the customer. This was a big waste of time and I'm never going again. read more

Came in to get something printed real quick, a small 1 inch image for a gobo, the whole process would take about 3 minutes. Told I would have to wait two hours. Customer service is horrible here. If urgency is the case at hand I suggest going elsewhere. read more

Anjenette was in the copy section behind the counter! She was extremely patient with me! I had tons of questions and she had a quick answer all the time! She was multitasking like crazy and still managed to have an excellent attitude! I received such great, professional customer service! These kind of people is who I want to constantly work with! Slowest computers ever! They charge $0.30 a min.... so, the snail speed is pretty annoying!!! Took 5 min to download 1 power point and 3 min to log out of gmail. Would not recommend this place for printing at all! read more

This one is a chain so it'll be three stars unless something stood out to me.(which it didn't) the store itself is very nice and not unlike other Office Supply stores that I have visited. but there is little to no immediate clean up or restocking of the store. I don't think that a normal, hum-drum office supply store wouold restock an item almost immediatly after the customer has paid for it, and repairing or replacing store signs advertisments when they are damagegd as soon as they are seen. i wouldn't exspect that from this little store....I'd exspect that from a Great store. read more

I come here consistently every weekend to print flyers and Andrew the gentleman who is usually at the print shop center is awesome. He explains everything very well, concise and on top of it. I cannot print my flyers at the self serve printers because it changes my layout on my flyer so the photo center had to print for me, which usually means a wait but it's the only way to get it done. Today Andrew started to help and had to go on break so an employee with the name Anejnette helped me out and instantly was so rude. Even to the other customers next to me getting envelopes to their cards. She went to tell me that because I chose to go to the photo center I have to pay extra which usually is not the case because the other printers mess up my flyer. Then she said if I could wait an hour, at this point I had already wanted 25 minutes. She said if I wanted it within the hour it would be an additional charge which I have never heard of and I come here every weekend. She then provided me the receipt when we always get rung up there since she had the capability but did not want to help me further. The way she said all this was extremely rude and with a terrible attitude. I work in customer experience for over 10 years and I would never allow an employee of mine to address customers in that manner especially when it is not warranted. I live very near and give Staples in Whittier all my business but after today I do not think I will ever be back. Hope Staples reads this and provides some coaching for this team member and emphasize how important customer experience is in today's market. With Office Depot and many other print shops nearby, what will always set you apart is your customer experience. read more

Drove all the way from Montebello to the Staples in Whittier after speaking to an associate in their print department. We needed a medium to large size photo printed off an iPhone and they told us,"yes just send to the Staples email When you get here and then we will give you a code and we will print it". Once we got there; the lazy woman in printing did not get out of her chair-did not greet us and when we told her what we needed she said from across the room , "I can't do that. You need a USB. " When I said I would buy a USB, she then said "well that might not work either .." basically she didn't want to help problem solve and seemed downright annoyed that we needed help! ** let me also note there was no one else there-no other customers in the printing section- she wasn't helping any other customers** - Now I know why the store was so empty. We were so disgusted with her service we left." She was a heavyset woman whose name I think was Antoinnette. We went to the Staples in La Harbra where they greeted us - helped us & got the job done! read more

I'm a teacher and needed my calendar laminated and decided to give Staples a shot since my school isn't open yet. I called in advance to make sure their laminator was wide enough (after being placed on hold 3 times) and was quoted a price per foot - thanks :) Knowing that it takes a while for a machine to heat up I asked that it be turned on and I would be there in 20-30 mins., seeing that it takes that long to heat up and I live just up the street, the clerk said she would have it turned on for me. Well I got there 30 mins later and the lady at the counter said it would be between 45 mins and an hours for the machine to heat up - when i explained that I called and it should of been on (within listening range of the manager) I was upset. I specifically called requesting a service and apparently it was too much to ask for. I"ll just go to the teacher supply store tomorrow. This location is closest to home, but unfortunately, I'll be taking my printing needs elsewhere. I printed images online as engineering prints (24" x 36"), which is a cheap alternative to poster printing ($3 vs $30), and had it shipped to this location. After placing the order, I got a call from an employee at this Staples saying that they couldn't print my image, even though it was a high enough resolution. I asked why and they said that they only print engineering prints, mind you the image I uploaded had more negative space compared to what would take up toner. I tried to rationalize the argument, since I know that some engineering prints are much more elaborate than my image. She then proceeded to tell me that it was a nationwide policy to not accept regular images, only true engineering prints. Anyhow, I re-ordered and had it printed at another location without a problem. read more

I living Whittier and purchased my office needs and pic equipment from this location. Unfortunately customer service is gone done hill. Called there location today to only be placed on hold for over 10minutes long. I was placed on hold so many times it kept on ringing back after the hold expired. I wanted information on repairing my laptop. The person who finally answered ask my name and placed me back on hold. Then he returns on the line to say I don't have a laptop here by that name was i sure took it to this location. I then explained you should ask more information before placing your customers on hold. I'm calling to get information on bringing in my laptop for repair. He started to laugh,and I explained this is very unfortunate but I will not be bringing my business to your location. And I ended the call. I remember this location and kept coming back because of the service i was receiving. No matter where or what you do customers time is important. I am a teacher, and I visited this location for the first time this past week. I was very happy to sign up for the Teacher Rewards card, and as the previous Yelper said, there is a 25 count limit for teachers. That is fine, as I teach in a private school and my class size is small. On this particular day, it was a couple of days later that I was able to unload all my "teacher loot" from my car, and lo and behold, I had no receipt and was even missing an item. I didn't think I would have much luck without a receipt, but called the manager and explained my situation. I was impressed! He was able to look up my receipt, print out a new one, and even gave me the missing item. Great customer service! Thank you, Staples! read more

Don't shop in this place! I never will ever again. Not only are their prices higher than other competitors, but their return policy on electronics is horrendous! I bought 2 computer cables that together cost me $50.00 (these cables are barely being used anymore, outdated) in cash. I ended up not using them and came back after 3 weeks, only to be told that I would get a refund or store credit since it had been more than 14 days. That is their return policy on electronics, 14 days. The two boxes even had Staples on them since they were of the Staples brand! I walked right after saying I would never shop in any Staples again. I went in not too long ago to find some things my daughter would need for college. At first I was alittle lost as to where things were and there didn't seem to be many people working there that day but then a young lady anjanette came around the corner and asked if we needed help. We asked her tons of questions about different items and she gladly awnsered all of our questions. We were even interested in buying a projector for my daughter but weren't completely sold on it yet we were still debating between that or a tv. A young man tried to help us with that who was so nice but we just still wanted to talk to her. She is so sweet and very easy to talk to and helps us understand things better. She even took the time to tell us about her experiences in college and how beneficial having the projector would be over the tv. We greatly appreciate all her help and her patience. We didn't get it that day but we did decide to buy one on their website. The associates here are super helpful and friendly. I would definitely be coming back here in the future. read more
