When we needed 2 major jobs done properly (Grandpa just passed and we needed photos & posters for the funeral) ASHLEY came through!! She was not only patient with me...I seriously don't know how she was able to treat everyone with respect, gave the proper attention, the necessary tools, and all with a smile on her face. I mean, when I say people were coming at her from allllllll directions, and she was SO PROFESSIONAL! Wow, I'm really surprised that this staples only has two stars !!! I want to say it's very clean . When you walk in, everyone around greets you . The place where you go print there is a lady named Ashley who greets you when you get to her section. She's so nice and very helpful .she will go out of her way to help you . When I saw she had a lot to do, she let me know she was busy, but she would get to me . She told me the wait time that no one else has ever done but was nice, so I waited . She helped me print some importanpaperworkrk and she printed some stuff I couldn't do . I was so professional and nice to me . canam truly say I highly recommend this staples . You can't tell who works here. There's no uniform and they tend to hide their badges when they walk around the store. When I asked the store associate, a woman named Ashley, for help, she told me she was too busy, When I reminded her that I was the customer, she said that didn't matter, that she was a human being. Sorry to hear some people haven't had positive experiences here but I've been here repeatedly over the past weeks and have had positive experiences. I was able to print off items and get what I need in terms of supplies. Note to anyone trying to print off images from the printme printer. Please note, they can not yet open files (google docs, etc) and only print off one image at a time from attached jpegs (they can't print off more from a page like a regular email). If you want to do this you have to pay more for the machines at the wall (& also play for internet time which I swear charges double time). But tip for printing off multiple pics on one page from printme printer--format them as one jpeg (can do this via Instagram grid or various apps). That way they get saved as a jpeg--the print me currently only prints off jpegs. You can also do this for anything else that needs to get printed, shipping labels, etc--just take a screenshot of whatever you need, save as a jpeg and email to the staples@printme.com Hope that helps! read more

I don't get all the bad reviews.... It's Staples. lol You can't get mad at them for homeless being outside of the building. There is always parking and they're fully stocked, there is never a long line, and everyone is doing their job. Sure sometimes it takes awhile to get something printed and there are lines in the print area, but what do you expect? The employees always are nice... The printing people something seen blah... but it's fucking Staples! No one's dream job! Be nice! Also i drop all my UPS packages off here and they are always recieved and no issues. Whatever! Three weeks ago I attempted to use my debit card at one of the registers and there was a problem with the card/chip read insert mechanism spitting the card out, thus cancelling the purchase and having to go through the same motions again and again. After five tries, I suggested to the cashier that we move to another register. This encounter took about 10 minutes. Today, the same vacant faced person was at the same register, same register still has problems. Again, I suggested we move to another register. Wouldn't it be better to have the store call the chip reading mechanism vendor to change it out instead of having the mechanism fail for every one who uses their credit or debit card? Is Staples going out of business or is this a phase out? Ringed by a homeless encampment (sadly hard to control by the retailer) - the whole block and parking lot is a garbage dump, as well. It gets a bit better inside as the surely under-paid and near surly employees are likely fed up with the scene there - broken self serve printers, understocked shelves, and a business office which is rather limited in services. Best to go online than to the store. Online to Amazon to get supplies and on the Staples site to order. Their site is good for mid to large orders, banners, displays, brochures. I meant to do a survey online but lost my receipt. Jennifer was the cashier that day - super helpful. Everyone there is usually helpful and authentic- meaning they don't ever try selling me things I don't want or need. I also want to give a shout out to Jasmine. She has helped me many times in the past. She's always cheerful and knowledgeable! I really hope the managers of this store appreciate there team ! Let me start of by saying that I rarely review things on Yelp, but my continuous experiences at this location are so amazing that I need to tell someone, or everyone. Specifically this is regarding the Printing / Marketing Services department. While the entire department is phenomenal, there is one specific person who is AMAZING. Ashley. Look, whatever you need, whatever questions you have, she is there to help. This girl could teach the world a thing or two about customer service. When the machines are acting up, she helps you out. And she always has a smile on her face, always happy to help. I will happily drive farther to come to this Staples because I know that Ashley will take care of me. This wasn't just one good experience. I work as an EA in Venice, and I am always going to get things printed or made, and every time, Ashley has been so helpful. Added two more Pentaflex® folder friendly, free standing files and, well, it has been difficult to tear myself away from the transformative clean-up to Yelp. Only my second time at this superstore, I can't complain. Plenty of ambient light, wide, well stocked aisles, and cool, knowledgeable employees who seem to heart office supplies as much as I do. Horrible experience. Had one of the employees clap his hands in my face and tell me that because I was using the self-service option within the copy center he couldn't answer one of my questions (how to use the black-and-white option on the printer). The printer was out of paper and when i asked him to fill it he ignored me. Eventually had to call over the manager, who gave me a partial refund. Half of my papers were crumpled, and the overall experience was hellish. Go somewhere else if you can. This Staples needs a lot of work and/or new employees. read more

Everyone needs to know this tip: This STAPLES charges WAAAAAY too much for a lot of their standard products like USB cables. For example, I needed a 25' long internet cable and they had a generic one for sale for $40!!!!! However: if you tell that you saw a cheaper price on their website, they will honor that price. Whoa! Magically, the cable became $8.50. This is the shadiest business tactic I have EVER seen. Grossly over-charging for products, unless the customer is savvy enough to have seen what they charge online. I made the mistake of buying the wrong ink cartridge. Totally my fault. Even tho I returned it more than 14 days after purchase they happily refunded me and I was able to buy the correct one. They also have a program where you can return used ink cartridges through their reward program and get $2 each! read more

DON'T EVER HAVE THESE PEOPLE ATTEMPT TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER! They are simply not at all knowledgeable enough to give you the kind of advice that looks out for you as a person, less your pocket. I just spent $300+ to get my computer fixed, and after bringing it in half a dozen times, it still wasn't fixed. I had to hire someone else who fixed the real problem within one hour. I went back to Staples with the receipt from the alternative computer company, asking to get my $$ back, and they refused. I don't blame the people who work there so much as the insensitive corporate ways and the people who create such disconnection with it's customers. Tip: Bring your used printer ink cartridges to recycle and they will send you $2 credit to use on next purchase. Make sure to sign up with Staples for this. The worst thing about this store is the PARKING. UGHhhhhhHHHhhhHHhh the underground parking lot is the worst. First of all, you go underground and the turning radius is really tight such that the car coming towards you is usually in your lane. So make sure to go slow. The spaces are also door ding-ily tight. WOW! Most useless and rude copy and print staff I have ever met. Be warned: you cannot scan anything here. The staff are rude and apathetic. I don't think it's humanly possible for them to care about their jobs or the customers any less than they already do. If so, The whole place would probably collapse into a pile of "meh", rickety office furniture, and shitty file folders. Here's my experience: 1) the three women here offer you ZERO help 2) the manager of the department won't care if you've had an issue or even attempt to make a situation better by offering basic human empathy 3) this is NOT a full copy-scan-print center. This is a lie. You cannot scan anything you've signed even if the "staff" watch you sign it. Did anyone tell me this before I spent my time printing and filling out paperwork? Nope. How about when I asked where the scanner was? Nada. Only after I'd paid and printed did anyone tell me I had wasted my time and money. 4) after I mentioned this to the manager, her response was to tell me I could reprint my paperwork and sign them in front of her then they could scan it for me. At my own expense of course. I asked her if she could print me a second set since I'd already paid, and she told me she couldn't because there was nothing physically wrong with the paper. ARG. Nowhere is this policy posted. It would have cost them ten measly dollars to avoid me calling and complaining on yelp. Which... But they way is ludicrous that it costs TEN FREAKING dollars to print eleven pages of black and white text. It's an apocalyptic wasteland in there. I can't wait to watch this location liquefy its assets and get turned into a parakeet farm or something slightly more useful. Tl;dr - rude staff. Overpriced. Can't scan. Shopping in the store normally: Things are frequently out of stock. Not uncommon to see parts of shelves void of product. This place is severely understaffed so none of the employees have the time of day to ask you if you need help, although they do help out if you ask. They do accept empty toner cartridges for recycling without any hassle, though, so that's a plus. Printing service: Hoo boy. To say the print center of this place is a hot mess is an understatement. I had some signs printed at Staples' national print center (wherever that is) and shipped to this location for pick-up. When my coworker came in to pick up the signs, the employees there had no idea what he was talking about and couldn't find the order despite our mail tracking showing the signs had been delivered the day before. Even the guy who handled our order over the phone at the national center couldn't figure out what the hell this store's problem was. Turns out my signs were mistakenly placed with the signage for the store... derp... So I go back to pick up my signs after they've figured out the SNAFU. Now there's a line for the print center backed up by an oblivious middle-aged woman wanting to test out every type of stock paper they have. Which would be fine if there was more than 1 employee helping people. The second employee at the print center had the situational awareness of a potato. Despite there being a line, this second employee thought throwing out paper was more important than helping people. What the hell? Finally they had a third employee come over to help and they handed me my signs... and another person's order with it. Good thing I opened the packages before I left the parking lot or I would've had to come back to this bad excuse of an office supply store. Do yourself a favor: if you need custom printing that's more complex than "print this thing on letter-sized paper", go to a local print shop. More expensive but well worth it to save yourself time and hassle. If you need office supplies, the Staples on National seems less busy and better stocked. read more

I asked the bored checkout girl if they recycled batteries and I got- the only response she could muster for me during our whole interaction- "NuhOH" like I was an idiot for asking if a store which sells electronics and office supplies actually recycles something like batteries. They know me here...: So, you're standing in the isle thinking you can help yourself find something, and yet, you can't. Well, don't fret the employees here always seem to pop up at the right time. They are all very friendly. This is how a corporate chain does it right. The employees have great attitudes. Going to this Staples is like going to the mechanic (my car is making a clunking noise): you say "I need a printer but it has to be fast, and I want it to fax, but I don't want it slow, and it has to be able to print good photos, blah, blah, blah" and instead of you standing there for half an hour trying to figure out the printers yourself they can pick one, explain it, and you're done. read more
