Have to give it up for Serina and the crew in the printing department. I've been printing and ordering things here for YEARS for my business. Can't imagine going anywhere else. Thanks so much y'all! read more

Employees are helpful for the most part. Store is clean,. They also take Amazon returns which is nice.

Big turn around over the past few years. Great store with helpful staff and easy to find products competitive pricing too.

Just want to chime in with a quick mini review, went in to get a couple Passport photos, excellent courteous service, in and out within 10 minutes, no problems. read more

Very impressed with the young man named Denis. He greeted me at the door and helped me find the 4 items I needed. I was in & out in a flash. He is a valuable asset to that location (Pleasant Hill) Thank you. read more

I just wanted to give some recognition to Neal for the amazing customer service I received about a week ago buying a computer. My old computer died (a work computer I use every day from home) and I needed to figure out quickly what I was going to buy to replace it. Neal spent a lot of time with me going over how he could help with transferring files from my old computer, what kind of tech support I could get if I bought the computer there and in general I trusted him to buy the computer there. He had all my files transferred over a day later when I picked it up and consequently only missed two days of having a computer to work. I can't say enough about how helpful he was and what a great employee he is to have at Staples. It definitely makes me a Staples customer in the future. read more

I came in today because i had previously purchased 4 printer toners from staples for my printer. I usually by in bulk in case i run out. My printer went out on me which left me stuck with extra unopened toners that my new printer wont accept. Renee spent 20 minutes with me looking up my past purchases in order to give me a credit so that i could purchase the new toners. I had no receipt or any idea what day i came in but he was able to figure it out. Any other person would have given me an 800 number and told me to get lost but he patiently took the time off the sales floor to accommodate me. In a time where everyone uses Amazon, i enjoy supporting local brick and morter shops, and Renee made sure to keep me as a returning business owner. Thanks Renee -Moose read more

A good office store. Better than the other office stores in the area. Good parking. Staff is okay. Very clean with good selection. read more

Always a great place for good prices on office stuff. Many times, they even have hard to find things too.

Do NOT use the printing service!!!! It Took me almost 30 minutes to print out papers at Staples. I called this staples store and they told me to forward my email that had the papers I needed printed to staples@print me.com, then come into the store to print. After 10mins of trying I call over a sales guy for help, he did everything I did 2x and wasn't successful. At this point, I suggest simply going to a Computer logging onto my email and print. He said that wasn't an option ?! I explained to him that the print system is not working it didn't work for me or you! It's now 20 minutes that I'm at the store trying to print out my FOUR papers!! I asked for a manager and it took a few minutes for one of the employees there to come forward but when a guy finally did. it took another close to 10 minutes to finally put out four pages!!! read more

I initially came in looking for binders for a project I was working on. They didn't have enough of the style, color and size of binder I needed. That meant that I had to go somewhere else. So yes, I was frustrated. As I was walking up to the front to get the few binders I could I noticed a sign that said iPhone repair. It just so happened that week I noticed the glass was popping out of the upper left corner of my phone. The glass wasn't cracked it was just lifting ever so slightly. There was a guy standing there behind the counter and he said Hi and asked if I needed help. I walked over and showed him my phone to see if he could fix it. He had two little tools he took out manipulated the glass and popped it right back into place. Like that! So fast it was crazy. I asked how much I owed him and he said nothing. He didn't need to open my phone or take the glass out so there was no way he could charge me for labor because it was a second of work. I was amazed. I was so thankful. Lets just say that more than made up for the lack of binders they had in stock. If in the event I do have a real phone glass issue Im bringing it to this guy. He was great! read more

I went to Staples to price match an iPad. The process was difficult than expected. A young sales associate who was wearing a turban advised me he could only honor the price match if I purchased the warranty/protection plan, which cost as much as the amount I was going to save with the price match. I received a different response from a different sales associate. I asked to speak to a manager in order for the price match to be honored. Unfortunately, the first sales associate rang me up and the register and kept trying to force me to purchase the protection plan. FINALLY.. The iPad was ordered. I requested an in store pickup since I was going to be out of town. Hold on. I'm not done. I received an email notifying me that the iPad was ready for pickup. I stopped by the store only to find out the iPad was in transit. There won't be a next time but checking the UPS tracking number will provide accurate tracking to save you a trip. Once the iPad actually arrived, there were issues locating the iPad. The 110% price match guarantee is misleading. If you save $10 through a price match, the 10% is calculated based on the amount you saved and not on the original price of an item. If I have to go to Staples again, I'll go to the one louvered on Treat Blvd. read more

Ray was so rude and he followed me around the store while i shopped and made me feel uncomfortable.

Staples is wonderful in all aspects. They are located off of Contra Costa Blvd/Crescent Plaza. There is ample parking here. Staples fixes your phone if the screen is broken. They ship UPS 7 days a week. They have a print center, sell stationary items and more. Staples offers a huge variety of items. They have many options in colors, styles and different quality for the specific item your looking for. I like going to staples for my journal's and packs of pens that look fancy and are reasonably price. I also like how they have a household section where I am able to conveniently pick everything up in one store vs going to multiple. The staff is full of energetic people which is great. When you come into a store like this you either know what you need and leave or you are here for something a little more time consuming such as technical issue or making large purchase on an electronic. Knowing the staff is always ready to assist takes the edge off. I encourage everyone to sign up for their rewards programs for discounts and promotions ( hence all the check-ins). Happy shopping folks. read more

I went to IKEA to get an office chair. They were out of everything and acted like I was a problem becuse I said the least they could do was list these items out of stock on their web site. I stopped in to Staples and Eric, the guy with a shaved head, helped me find a chair to fit my needs. He pointed out the sales, pros, cons, and out the door I went with my new chair I absolutely love. I should have gone to see Eric first instead of wasting my time in an Emeryville maze. Thanks Eric, you're the man. read more

This place is a typical Staples, but the people are pretty friendly here. I was asked if I needed help while I wandered the aisles, and the checkout clerk was friendly. They didn't have much selection for business card holders. They had plenty of those album types, but then you have to rearrange the whole damn thing if you get a new card! I was looking for a tray with alpha dividers for business cards. Yes, I could enter them all into my Goldmine CRM database, but that is a lot of work, and I will eventually, but in the meantime, I need to get organized. Would you believe I bought a Rolodex? Some of you probably don't even know what that is! (It's Old School, trust me, like White Out or Carbon Paper!) The flat kind, not the turning kind. I took out most of those white Rolodex cards (who uses those anymore?) and just used the Aplha dividers for the business cards. Not ideal. I also got a great wireless keyboard and mouse combo for $29. And a great earbuds with microphone as a back up to the iPhone ones that are so uncomfortable. It also came with small adapters so I can use it with my LinkSys VOIP phone, or with a PC for Skype, etc. Now "That was Easy!" read more

When on the Albany side of the hill, I prefer the small "family" stationary stores like Payn's, Alko, or Elmwood. However, out here in this part of the 'burbs, there are very few options past the Big Box. As wanugee says, this place is a typical Staples and with a pretty helpful and friendly staff. I come in occasionally for "this and that" and for what this place is, it does what it needs to do. read more

Avoid this Staples Store as they charge very high prices and customer service is nonexistent! I went to purchase a Brothers Label Maker PT-D210 and noticed it did not have the a/c adapter as illustrated in the box. When I call the store, a young lady answered and said she would check. She returned five minutes later and said they do not have any and never did. A few hours later, I just happen to be near the store so I checked. In the small area where all label makers and accessories are located, it was there Obviously, the young lady blew me off and just said whatever to get rid of me. They just list a good customer. read more

This Staples is clean enough, and they are never too busy that I can't find someone to ask a question if I need to. I think the thing that gets me with this location is almost every time I have gone in here, when I am looking for an item, the merchandising has the incorrect item paired with the wrong price tag. Then I spend half my time going through their shelf stock looking at product numbers and matching to the price tags. And wouldn't you know it... when the dust settles, they are out of the item I was looking for. It's like they are just moving the other products to the open spots on the shelf so it looks like they have what you're looking for. Don't be so cruel to me, Staples! Don't touch me like that and then just walk away! read more

The store management sucks at providing customer service. They should revise their hours to closing at 8:50, as they wouldn't let me in to just get some packing tape when I had sped across town to buy some. I see that I am not alone is saying their customer service is terrible. This store should definitely be reported to the corporate HQ for their unhelpful practices. read more

Went in for dropping off a UPS package. Stuck around and shopped for stationary I would have otherwise ordered online simply because the store is spacious, clean, and most importantly, had very few shoppers. Staff was kind and helpful as usual and I could peacefully browse products and make my purchase without worrying about bumping into another shopper or someone standing too close in the checkout line. Great experience and I will definitely be back here to pick up office items instead of ordering from the online store. read more

Do not go here for tsa services! I had an appt and I told the lady as I was signing in if I had to fill out the rest of the form since I have an appt and she tells me no. So I sit and wait and wait and wait and she's slow but nice and working hard. So I sit and sit. Forty minutes later young girl comes and takes over, Elias Madeha? and proceeds to call the person behind me. Now I'm getting upset. I said "wait he's behind me and I have an appt" and the previous lady says she should go first. Then the girl says well she didn't sign in that she has an appt." So I tell her "well I told her and asked it I needed to complete the rest and she said no" and ppl asked me how long I've been waiting and I say "forty minutes" and everyone is grumbling and the girl proceeds to yell very loudly that it's the lady's first day here and would like everyone to be patient and says couple of more rude things and rolling her eyes. So I'm livid at this point. I tell her she doesn't need to speak to me this way because she was literally yelling. She yells very loudly again for me to be patient otherwise I don't need to come to this store and she doesn't need to serve me" what? Now she's threatening to not serve me. Everyone is shocked and I'm mortified. I've never had anyone be so rude. All she had to say was "I'm sorry for the mixup and you had to wait so long. It is her first day. I'll take care of you shortly" then all will be good. She needs some serious training in customer service and anger management. Never yell at a customer who has been patiently waiting over 40 minutes!! read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE. A one hour wait to laminate one piece of paper. All they had to do was stick it in the machine. Whole process should take about five minutes. It wasn't like they were busy -- the clerk with purple hair had plenty of time to help some guy design his business cards. She could have completed my little project at the same. The manger was no help either. That's why the place is probably so poorly run. Went to Office Depot in Walnut Creek and was in and out in 10 minutes. read more

I used Staples website to make a large banner, and a color sign. The software was very easy to use, but the kicker was the personal help at the store. Due to my error, the image on the banner was initially blurred. The reason being is that I took an image and had it blown up, kinda knowing it might not be too clear. Well it wasn't. But due to some help from Alyson at Staples, she stepped up and it wound up coming out perfect. She didn't have to go so far out of her way, but she did and she got it resolved while I waited. I'll come back when I receive service like that. The sign I made was frick'n killer! I used some different colors, threw in an image, and had it laminated and BOOM! Came away with some cool stuff. Do not come here for TSA Enrollment. I had a scheduled appointment at the Pleasant Hill location and when I arrived was told the "TSA was down". I was one of many who showed up for appointments and were inconvenienced because no one called or emailed customers about the change. Instead, Staples employees directed us to go to another Staples location 20 minutes away to be told there that they don't take "same day" appointments. Instead of making another wasted trip, we could've used that time trying to make another appointment at a different location. Don't go to Staples for this, go to any other establishment that handles TSA Enrollment. read more

Stopped by this store today at around 540pm, not knowing they closed at 6pm. Wife and I were looking for planner accessories, and we had our hands full of items we were going to buy. There was no storewide announcement that they were closing soon, like you you generally expect in a large store. Again, we had no idea they closed at 6pm, since they are usually open until 8 or 9. That's totally our bad. HOWEVER... When we were approached by an employee who literally said, "We're closed now, hurry up, do you need help finding anything?" - my wife and I were shocked to be told to "hurry up". I get it: the store is closed, and you have things to do before you can leave for the night. But holy crap, dude, seriously?! I chose to come to this store instead of buying online, because I've managed a retail business for the past 15 years. I know how tough it is. But customer service like this will definitely make me think twice about coming back. read more

You think a place named "Staples" would have all the staple related items you could possibly want, wouldn't you? I came here for a staple gun. Now I am sure you might wonder, why not a hardware store? Well, I was putting up posters on a wall, and didn't want something so powerful it ruined all the posters, so I figured this would be the perfect place. Found the exact one I wanted online, but needed it sooner than the shipping permitted, so I stopped by the store on my way home from work. Not one Staple Gun in the entire store. In disbelief, I went to the counter and they said "Yeah, we don't have them, you would think we would." I replied that it was available online, to which the cashier said "We sell ALOT of stuff online!" as if he was eagerly awaiting the day the robots took his job and he was laid off. I angrily fired off a tweet to the Staples account for wasting my time, in which they apologized because there was "and incident they don't like to talk about" as the reason they do not carry Staple guns. So on top of having a shitty inventory at their stores, they also admit they cannot afford to hire the high quality employees that say an Ace Hardware or a Home Depot can hire... nor do they have a system in which they can keep a dangerous item locked away, for employees to access when a customer needs something. However do the hardware stores stay open? Then must be dealing with mass staplings like CRAZY. I bet you on their break, they roll up their sleeves and pant legs, showing off various staple battle scars like in a Lethal Weapon movie. So you know, order your stuff online, but not from Staples, they take forever to ship it to you. So just use Amazon, because while I hate how they crush the little guy, go ahead and stomp out this crappy organization. read more

The parking lot here is a zoo. It's not because it's full, there are usually plenty of spots, it's because it's just poorly designed. Staples is the main reason we visit the area. It's always immaculate, fully stocked and well staffed. When you need help in furniture you are usually have to wait a min, but I expect that. Staples is really a low cost provider. Boo and hiss to Staples. I was called upon to make a donation for a very worthy organization. It was very short notice. School supplies are needed for local kids for the upcoming school year. In doing my shopping at Staples, I asked a floor clerk if the manager was in. He said he would go get her. He came back and wanted to know what it was regarding. I told him I was hoping to get a small discount on the cart full of supplies I was buying so I could take a larger purchase. I explained to him that I was buying to make a donation to school kids to fill backpacks. He came back shortly and said the manager could not do it and referred me to corporate. I'm sure it's Staples knew about my request in writing a few weeks ahead of time, they would have pondered a small discount. That's not like right. My gripe is that the manager just spouted the company line and wouldn't even talk to me personally. I'm sure Staples has enough faith in their store managers that they would allow them to make a five or 10% discount on a $325 purchase, knowing that it would go to a worthy cause. Even on such short notice. Overall, it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Certainly the phrase that comes to mind is that "No good deed goes unpunished." read more
