I went in to get a simple poster printed and Veronica in the print center said she would get it done by the afternoon which was great. I left and after a few hours called to check if it was ready since I was in the area- I wasn't expecting it to be completed but if it was, then great. When I called Veronica immediately gave me an attitude because she said she already told me it wouldn't be done until later in the afternoon. I let her know that I was fine and I was just checking because my email said it would be done by 8:30 pm the following evening and I needed it before then. She kept talking over me and then finally let me talk before she cut me off to tell me to have a good day and hung up on me. I called to speak the the manager on duty Felicia who just said ok and instead of apologizing or trying to make things better, agreed it was best to cancel my order. I will never return to this staples. There are too many other print centers to have to deal with that level of unprofessionalism and terrible customer service. I went to FedEx Office and they were more than happy to help & had it printed in 10 minutes. read more

Take the easy button and throw it at someone's head. I bought a janky printer/scanner/combo thing and had lovely service at the time of purchase (no, I did). I bring it back to exchange for one that works, not so much. Yes, it was six weeks later. I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, and it turned out not to be me. I find their exchange period to be ridiculous (14 day, and I don't care whether that is standard most places. Target will exchange a broken electronic within like 6 months with little to no question, I know that one for a fact). I was reminded if I had bought an insurance plan on this $80 device, they would take it back immediately. Anything that doesn't work after a couple weeks has bigger issues than lack of insurance. They took it back in the end, which required both tears and perseverance on my part, but that only proves that they choose not to be accountable for the crap they sell by having such a crappy return/exchange policy (and I was only looking to exchange for the same thing). I needed to fax something too, whole point of marching down there that second with this POS (their fax is self service, fyi) and it was going to be like $30. No way, a-holes. I hope these guys go bankrupt asap. Office Max over these guys anyday and I'll never buy an effen eraser from this craphole. I have to disagree with the other reviewers. Although this is the closest office supply store to my office, I was hesitant to go based on all the negative reviews, especially with regards to customer service. My experience was completely different as two different employees came up to me while I was shopping and asked if I had everything I needed. They actually helped me pick out several items, were very helpful, and seemed knowledgeable about their products. Also, although they only have a two week return policy they actually tell you that outright as you're checking out, so you shouldn't really be surprised if you try to come back past that time to return an item (perhaps trying the manufacturer would be a better option at that point). In all, happy I went and will definitely be coming back. read more

So far all I've read are bad reviews on here but I have had the opposite experience for years. They are my closest office supply store and they also work on computers! They fixed my computer a few months ago and it s still working beautifully. Sometimes they don't have what I want in stock but are always willing to help me order it and I get it in 1 or 2 days to my home with free shipping. There has been a lot of change in staff over the years but everyone has always been very friendly and willing to help me. I recommend this store to people all the time. read more

Very disappointed with the service. Bought a new computer from them and they were not able to install my printer and told me that I had to get a new one. This was after I had already paid the $129 home installation fee. Ended up calling a local computer company that came out the next day and they fixed it in less than 10 minutes!!! Went here to return an unopened paper product I no longer needed. I had my receipt and it was charged to a credit card so the return process just required scanning 2 bar codes (one on the product and one on the receipt). I figured it would take 2 minutes but I was wrong. As soon as I walked in a manager was chatting on the phone behind the customer service counter. To his credit he did greet me but pointed me to a register for returns instead of doing it at customer service. So I walked 10 feet to the only register open. The cashier was on the phone with a customer as another customer walked over on the regular check out side of the register. The cashier skipped over me and tended to the other customer. Then he says I should walk around to the other side where people buying merchandise from inside the store are walking. To his credit he might have been mentally ill or something. Anyway, I got in line and then the manger opens a register and takes a guy in line ahead of me. Maybe they just hated the shirt I was wearing or something. Anyway from the time I walked in to the time I walked out it took 10-15 minutes to return one item when no one else was in any line when I walked in. This kind of stupidity is why big box retailers are losing business to online sellers. I blame only myself for not buying this product from Amazon and taking 1 minute to print a return label and be done with things. On top of that the prices are outrageous at Staples. I plan to never buy anything from them again at any location if I can help it. read more

Staples does NOT make it easy. I brought in my old laptop and purchased $1,000.00 new laptop. Was told two hours for the data transfer (which they were offering for free, which is why I went there in the first place). Three hours later, I went to retrieve my new computer. The Tech had no problems at all with telling me that "five people came in when you did," so my computer would be another two hours. THREE hours after that., I went to retrieve my new computer. "Almost ready, we just need to restart" Whatever, I had waited long enough. The tech hands me my old computer in a Staples bag and it drops right through the bottom and hits the floor. The bags are that weak. I pointed to the .99 bag and request that my BRAND NEW computer be put in that instead and all of a sudden, it's "We can't do that, we need to ask the manager." The Manager comes out and cops an attitude... as if I hadn't just spent a THOUSAND dollars in her store. Oh no, we can give you gift card for $5.00 but not a .99 bag. She disappears in the back. My Tech is called over the in-house speaker and suddenly the.99 bag is in my hand. WHAT A JOKE OF A MANAGER! I will not return, nor will I ever refer Staples to anyone. Great products with great prices, but CRAP service. Staples' management makes me willing to deal with Best Buy's lines any day!!! ZERO STARS read more
