To be fully transparent: I didn't end up using their service because I already have a new working phone - I was interested in repairing my back up phone but it was a bit cost prohibitve. This review is for the solid transparency and professionalism of the staff. I have a cracked screen on my 2023 Samsung Galaxy. I kept the phone because it wasn't worth turning in when I got a new one, and I figured I could always have it as a back-up. Unfortunately to repair would have been over $300 which is just not worth it for me at the moment. The tech I spoke to took his time to inform me of my options. Apparently the price is because they are Samsung- quality certified which does give peace-of-mind. I came on a week-day and they told me they wouldn not be able to provide same day service because they were so busy, but to come back when they had more staff on the weekend. I appreciated the transparency!! Other things to note: There is plenty of parking and it is free for a short amount of time. Let's just say I have had some bad luck with my phone for the past few months. I initially cracked my screen, and uBreakiFix was able to replace it on the same day. Fast forward a few months later and I had screen problems again, this time due to a faulty screen. Google had offered to replace it, but since the screen was still under warranty uBreakiFix replaced it. Again same day service. Also the two times I've been here everyone was pretty nice and they seem knowledgeable. WHAT A SCAM. The letters E and T were not working on my laptop so I called asking for a quote. The guy on the phone told me $230 max because I would need to replace the entire keyboard/mouse pad given the version of my lap top. I brought it in like he said, another guy told me it would be about $400 and said he didn't know who I talked to initially. $400 for TWO keys that are stuck?! Didn't feel right so I told him I needed to do more research first before I commit to that kind of money- that's half the price of the computer! I was having issues with my phone, but before I researched the net for my next new one-thousand dollar smartphone, I took it into uBreakiFix for a free diagnosis. They determined it was a batter issue, which would only cost me $80 + tax. Right now, they are accepting drop-ins, but you're better off scheduling an appointment for the consultation. I dropped off my phone at 11am and was given a three hour estimate. The only downside is that it actually took 6+ hours - my phone wasn't ready until 5pm, and the status tracked on my email wasn't updating properly, so I couldn't accurately track the progress on my phone. I still highly recommend their services, as they have locations across Houston, have a friendly staff, and saved me from spending mucho dinero on an unnecessary new phone. read more

I noticed none of my labels were on the laptop, including the most important branding label of apple missing from the laptop. When reaching out to them, they did not deny swapping my laptop only to say they would reimburse me if I purchased another one. So I just have to share what will sound like a commercial bc I'm so happy. I just got my phone screen replaced. I cracked it by dropping it at work in the parking lot the very last week I was there! Typical, right? But I brought it to UBreakIFix, and I'm so glad I did because they let me know that I could use my insurance with AT&T to replace just the screen, whereas when I went to AT&T, the representative just told me to use the online portal. That didn't give me the option to replace only the screen; it would have cost me $200 to replace the phone, likely refurbished, and I would have to give up my phone to them. I was going to pay just under $300 instead to just have my screen repaired when UBreakIFix told me I could use my insurance to replace my screen, which would come with a new frame AND battery for $29! I feel like I've just learned a trade secret, and I feel like I have a brand new phone. So ... I'm really happy about not paying $300 and also keeping my phone! I rarely write bad reviews but I feel I have been taken advantage of. During the heightened times of COVID, I was in a bind with the Apple Store closed and had to look for an alternate way to fix my cracked screen. I went to get my screen fixed and initially everything looked okay, it was working. One of the staff members went over the warranty, I had questions about, "how will I know" if something is wrong. Fast forward to mid-September, it was a hot humid day and my screen started glitching. With that I noticed a gap inside of the phone, towards the right edge. My phone stopped working. I went to claim a repair using the warranty. I receive a call that there is water damage voiding the warranty but the phone works when the screen is repaired (an additional $200+ cost). There was an exchange with the staff member saying that there was lifing on the screen (THEIR LABOR THAT IS COVERED BY THE WARRANTY), but because there is water damage (BECAUSE OF THE LABOR) it is void. This is a loophole for them to cover their own bad labor. In addition, the screen being replaced did cause my phone to work so the issue of my phone not working is because of the lifting on the phone (DUE TO THEIR LABOR) and not the water damage (CAUSED BY THE LIFTING BECAUSE OF THEIR LABOR). They are not taking responsibility for their mistake and want to charge me an additional $200+. read more

I made an appointment. Got to the location, walked in and there was no one at the front. After sometime, a woman walks from the back, does not bother to greet but immediately tells me people are not allowed in the store and to step outside. I tell her i have an appointment, she doesn't care...just that i needed to get out the store. Meanwhile there are chairs in the store. The situation outside is that there is a line down the sidewalk for UPS which adds to the confusion of whether who's here for ups and who's here to have something repaired. I do as she says and step outside, into my car and leave. These people don't care about customer service. At the time of making the appointment, there was no information about being outside and nothing posted on the door. And i understand with a pandemic the precautions but at least allow customers to sit in their cars and get a text when you're ready. read more

Called this location and spoke with Carl on phone in hopes of getting my older iPhone fixed as battery would not charge and port seemed loose. He offered to look at iPhone with no charge and could then fix depending on issue while providing ballpark figure. Apple always charges a lot and since I'm not concerned about hardware but instead priceless sentimental phones of my Dad who recently passed I decided to give these guys a try. Carl was quick to troubleshoot phone and came back to give updates. 15 minutes later he had my phone working good as new and didn't charge anything. This shop is a joke. Terrible customer service. The manager was defensive and had an argumentative tone and posture when i returned to the uBreakIfic store located in the Heights in Houston, TX. They gave me lots of push back, even though I had just spent over $250 plus tax to repair the screen. Just one week after their repair/replacement - I inadvertently dropping my phone on a wooden soft floor (in my home) in a protective case - but the screen cracked again. I was referred here by AT&T to repair my Apple Watch. I was quoted a different price and different repair time from several employees. I had to put down a deposit (150.00) to have my watch replacement part ordered. They 1. Ordered the wrong size. 2 When I called to check on this (I caught the issue) they hadn't even submitted the order. (The apologized) This was day 5 of the 3-5 day window they quoted me. 3. When they finally did get the replacement in NO ONE CALLED ME. (Again) 4. When I finally called up there myself they told me it couldn't be fixed for another 4 days. The fix itself took a couple of hours which is totally fine but after I paid for the watch to be fixed they THEN told me my Apple Watch is not waterproof anymore because they don't use those replacements parts. I would never have fixed my watch there if any one person I had spoken to would have told me this. Honestly I could have bought a brand new watch for what I paid to fix my current one. read more
