Wow! Exceptional service & professionalism. The first time Patrick came to our house to fix the plumbing was in 2018. He has been by for a couple of other jobs. I haven't seen him until last week. Our water heater had been limping along for a couple of months and finally decided to quit. I went to a plumbing supply store, hoping to purchase a control valve and fix it myself. I'm actually writing this for my Mom as she does not have a Yelp account. My Mom had a number of miscellaneous things she needed to have checked out and Patrick had been recommended to her by her neighbors. She liked that he is a family owned and operated business rather than a large company who contracts out the work. Patrick arrived right on schedule - I know this because I was visiting her that day and had the pleasure of meeting him. He worked down the list of things which included maintenance on her tankless water heater, unclogging drains and checking on a toilet issue. When he was flushing the bathroom sink drain he noticed that the water lines were kinked (previous owner had remodeled the bathroom) so he kindly fixed that as well. Patrick Stanton came out to fix a leak behind our shower. I had called a number of other plumbers, and no one could make themselves available. This was bad because I'd had to turn off the water to our home to stop the leak and we have 3 kids. While busy like everyone else, Patrick indicated that he was going to be driving through our area from another job and was open to stopping by to get the leak under control, with the intent to come back the next day and finish the work. He did exactly that! His work was excellent -- he works efficiently, cleans up the area meticulously, discusses all options with you, and minimizes impacts on you and your family. You never need a plumber until you need a plumber. Last night when I got home from work I found my old water heater leaking. At the referral of a neighbor I called Stanton Plumbing - she had used them based on reviews on Angie's List and recommended them. I called about 8 pm and Patrick was here to drain and unhook the old water heater within 40 minutes. We agreed that the old water heater had to go. Patrick connected the house to the cold water and promised to be back this afternoon to install a new water heater. Today he was back...earlier than he predicted. He had the new water heater and installed it quickly including bringing the configuration up to code. Patrick was excellent. From his quick response time, to his knowledge about the situation and the product, to his cleaning up after he finished his work, to his absolute commitment to customer service, and to his great sense of humor, he excelled in every way. A water heater is a water heater...you can get one anywhere and get it installed anytime. Patrick's efforts, however, made this an exceptional experience. Stanton Plumbing installed a recirculator--basically a small pump that keeps hot water circulating so that when you turn on a spigot there it takes very little time for hot water to be available. Because our bathrooms and the water heater are on opposite sides of the house it could take 30-60 seconds for hot water to appear at the tap. Now it takes 1-2 seconds. He also replaced a deteriorating cast iron waste line with a larger diameter PVC. I have a ranch style home so to install all of this requires navigating a very shallow crawlspace. I recently climbed under there myself to run some electrical wiring and it was extremely taxing and made more difficult by the many pieces of broken concrete that were left behind when the house was built 50 years ago. This work was done about a year ago and all is well. Prompt and excellent communication. The cost seemed commensurate with the task. Stanton will do any future work on my house. read more

While attempting to fix a shower leak myself on a Sunday afternoon yet, The inner rod of the facet pulled out leaving the outer shaft still in the pipe. I went to Yelp and begun searching for a plumber as I was in need of running water. I spoke to Patrick first and he shared what was wrong and what it would take to fix it as well as the price for an hour of Sunday afternoon labor. I ended up calling four or five different places as my land lord had asked me to double check. It was amazing to me how some of the different companies out the want to over charge you and rip you off. I went with Patrick and the next thing you know here was at the house and the problem was fixed for exactly what he said it would cost. I live in Pleasanton and Patrick's place is in Concord which is about 30 miles away, he had no issue with that fact either. Until i placed a call to Stanton Plumbing! I set a 9am appt with Patrick. At 8:30 he called me and said that he was running Early and would see me in 15 mins. He showed up exactly when he said he would!!! WOW who does that?? I explained what was going on. Showed him the the parts that we purchased to assist to resolve the issue. He then said to let him try something else first but that what we had was a good plan if he couldn't resolve the issue a different way. After trying his idea it was determined that what we had was a better choice for many reasons. Patrick does excellent work. He is very time conscious and efficient. As for $$.. very reasonable! Patrick saved the day! The auxiliary tank for the on demand water heater was leaking hot water all over my garage on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Another plumber came out and shut the hot water off and gave me an unreasonable estimate and couldn't give me a time frame to return and fix the problem. Patrick was referred to me by his previous employer who couldn't provide service. His recommendation was "If I didn't have my own plumbing company I would call Patrick for plumbing needs." Patrick came out within hours, was on time, explained the issues, replaced the tank and saved me $300 compared to previous estimate. Because the wall had been drenched with water there was a problem with the electrical outlet so the water heater kept shutting off. Patrick came back a few minutes later and fixed the problem. Patrick is back again for the rescue. Had a leaky pipe inside the wall. He was able to cut out the dry wall, locate the leak and fix it with an almost-lifetime seal ring. Very methodical in his approach and takes care of the issue with precision. He also spotted a major plumbing issue that caused the water pressure to be low in my house and yard (the issue puzzled me for 10 years and my gardener can't seem to figure out). Patrick came out a repaired a gas leak between the wall of my condo and my neighbors. He was very knowledgeable and even found some leaks near the gas meter. He did lot of work to make sure my system was safe and tested it thoroughly. He hauled away some extra pipe from an old pipe which he didn't have to do. His customer service was excellent. He went beyond what was needed to make sure everything was ok. He stayed late to make sure pge turned the gas back on. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could.
