I was blown away by the customer service of both Chris and Alex at the Escondido location. My wife and I both went in for adjustments since the Vista location was closed... the Vista location was never able to get them right but in just one attempt both of ours felt better than ever. They went above and beyond to help my wife with a warranty claim as well, which is the reason why I decided to get another pair for myself. I felt like they earned my business that day and I'll continue to come to this location even though it's completely out of my area. Thanks Chris and Alex! read more

My boyfriends glasses broke and he is dependent on them. It was hard trying to find a place to accommodate him not having insurance without killing my wallet. This place was amazing! 2 pairs of glasses for 59.95 with a free eye exam or BOGO Free with also a free eye exam! And we don't have to wait weeks for his new pair he got them maybe 30min after we picked out the frames. 100% recommend this place to EVERYONE. Thank you Alex for a great experience I am a DEFINITELY a returning costumer. Whelp it's about two weeks after and the boyfriend scratched the lenses. I walked right back in to see if I could get the lenses fixed and DIANA WAS A SWEETHEART. I explained what happened and she immediately said she could fix the lenses no charge. Thankfully they still had the same lenses available so they just made his prescription and I was out in 15! This place will never cease to amaze me. read more

My son's eyeglasses were broken today and he depends on his glasses. I was able to make a same day appointment today for my son. The appointment system is very easy and quick. Staff are very friendly and professional. Nick did a great job to provide an affordable price for my son's eyeglasses. The best part is that he made my son's eyeglasses ready in 10 minutes so I wouldn't need to drive another 25 minutes to pick it up a few days or weeks later!!!! Thank you so much Nick. I definitely recommend this place and will go back there!!!! read more

Wonderful, quick and cheap service at this location. Eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for only $60, AND got my glasses same day. Nick the manager handled my recent re-order. He is personable and professional. He clearly explained my options and brought the situation to a satisfactory resolution. ..... Additionally, my prescription as diagnosed by the their optometrist was more accurate than that done elsewhere. Very pleased. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I came here because I was on my last pair of contacts and need them ASAP. Their office was the only optometrist that I could go to for an eye exam on the same day. I went there and was put in a room. A guy comes on the screen from who know where. He conducts my exam, he says bye and the screen goes off. I wait until the front desk person escorts me to the uninviting waiting room. I finally receive my prescription. Never once did I actually see an optometrist.... The manager was extremely rude. Glad I didn't see her when I went to pick up my contacts. They need to learn customer service. Would not recommend to anyone unless it's an emergency. read more

I just got a new pair of eyeglasses that I desperately needed. I went to Stanton optical in Escondido and met the nicest people working there. Nick Vitalie is the brand manager, and he worked with me and gave me a good deal. They have a very good selection of frames and lenses. I highly recommend them. read more

This is the first time I'm getting Stanton Optical 4/18/22. The reason for not 5 stars is because I did have to wait about 35 min to be helped. Luckily I was the first waiter and they were 4-5 other people waiting after me. But I was going to be patient. There were 3 Stanton employees working the floor the person who helped me was the Branch manager Nick very nice guy who took care of all my glasses needs and saved me a lot of money. On my 2 pairs of glasses I got. I would recommend Stanton Optical to anyone CC read more

Eileen did a great job helping us find the best price with our insurance and combing it with Stanton pricing. She took extra time at closing time. She's super nice and competent. read more

Friendly staff & good service. The prices in my opinion are decent ranging from inexpensive to expensive types of frames.

have you ever thought that how can this company survive selling 2 pair of glasses + eye exam for $59.99 and having too many employees ! This location is kind of shade, they take you in make eye exam, invite you to choose a couple of pair of glasses and the end show you the cost which is over $400.00 ! I would not recommend this optical firm ! read more

Eileen helped me with my frames and seeing what our insurance covers. She was totally awesome. The optimist was great as well. He did a great job helping me thru the exam and idle chit chat. I am glad I went there all other times as lens crafters my insurance covered nothing here I paid 1/4 of what I paid t lens crafters 2 years ago. read more

If you want things to go smoothly, they are great! Everyone there is kind and Eileen helped me which I greatly appreciated. I purchased two pair of glasses in January 2020 & had problems with eye exam, frames & lens..As a result manager Alexander became extremely antagonistic & unreasonable... My experience with Stanton Optical has been difficult...To date June 2020 I have only received one pair of my eye glasses due to Alexander's inability to deal with customer satisfaction...After several phone calls & multiple times coming to the Escondido office I argued with Alexander to give me my 2nd pair he again attempted in a quiet manner verbally abuse me & pretended to drool spit from his mouth for the sole purpose of making me angry... All I want is to receive my eye glasses without issue - hopefully this week I'll be able to & never go back to the Stanton Escondido location again...Fyi - Earl has a good attitude & should be the manager in charge.. read more

I am the sole caretaker of an elderly parent who is an invalid. I made special arrangements to go get an eye exam and new eyeglasses. I had very limited time, explained this to the Stanton staff, and each and every employee at this Escondido location bent over backwards to complete my exam and lens choice. Their employees are very well trained. HIGHLY recommend Stanton Optical in Escondido, CA. read more

Stanton Optical gave me the wrong frames. I called them in February for a copy of my prescriptions, they said I would get in 48 hours. This is March 10 still no prescriptions. I have sent a consent form 3 different times and got nothing. Then the email me to apologize and told me the prescription had expired and asked did I still want it. I said send it. That was 2 days ago still nothing. I will never ever go back to them and will tell it to everyone considering not to go there. If I could give it a lower review rating I would. read more

Horrible service I payed for a exam but they never gave my prescription! When I went to use what they gave me other places would not take it because the paper was not signed by the doctor! When I went back to ask for them to give me my prescription they said the doctor could not sign the prescription because it's a contact prescription has to be signed off on after you receive the contracts to see if they fit you they said and the doctor said to much to me has passed even though the prescription had not expired!!!! I have never heard such a thing !!!plus costumer service is horrible!!!! read more

I decided to try Stanton Optical in Escondido. Two years ago it was LensCrafters with VSP Insurance. Now retired, I tried Stanton. Great experience! Diana was my associate that walked me through all the tests and selection of my glasses. She was kind and was honest about my eyeglass choices. I got two pair for half the cost of what I paid LensCrafters with insurance. And if cost wass not enough, a free eye exam with Diana followed by an eye exam with Dr Sabrina. The doctor was the nicest optometrist you could ever hope for. Had me smiling throughout the whole exam! Boy, did I find a great place! read more

What a wonderful experience my family and I have had at Stanton Optical in Escondido . They were so patient and very Efficient. I have been dealing with this company for over 8 months. The last straw came when the Manager promised to be there we made an appointment and we go in she isnt there her employee says there are no notes whatsoever! So I call today and Deanna tells me she had a family emergency and she leaves extensive notes doesnt offer anyway of making it right. So I have decided to contact an Attorney and file a lawsuit against this company. I believe 8 months is enough! By the way her employee tells me if you have been having problems for 8 months why do you keep coming back! He is right im not im going to sue! read more

I am reposting my experience on here cause Yelp decided to delete it since I accidentally posted this review on their Vista location and there was no way to delete it. My mother and I had a terrible experience with this place due to the sales person Destinee or whatever her name is. My mother and I went here and got our eyes checked for contact lenses we were first quoted $60 by the assistant sitting on a desk. Then when it was our time, we were checked by someone via Skype by a Spanish speaking optometrist which was fine with me until we got to picking out the contacts. My mom had her eyes checked first so she was first to pick out her contacts. I saw my mom looking so confused cause this Destinee sales girl was pushing expensive products on her. I told her we aren't interested in buying anything until we figure out what our VSP would reimburse us. Destinee wasnt happy with this and she completely changed her tone and attitude. "Well it's $90 for the contacts fitting." I was confused cause they originally quoted us $60 each, and no "contacts fitting" happened. Basically, our contacts lenses were recommended by a Christopher White who we didn't meet at all and those we're the only contacts we were allowed to have. She didn't even give my mom contacts since they didn't even have the contacts since they ran out of recommended contacts they had. I had asked the girl if she can give my mom other ones similar and said "No. Those are the only one that the optometrist recommended." I told her to check with our insurance since her coworker originally said $60 when they checked with VSP. She went on the phone to call VSP and was extremely annoyed when she couldn't reach someone. After waiting 5 min on the phone, she told us it's $90 and to just pay that and to "deal with VSP yourselves." RUDE!!! So this is a false advertisement when they say that they file the claim for you! I asked if she can she take our PDs and when she refused and I started to question their practice, she automatically changed her tone and took them but I don't think she did them right. To summarized, she charged both my mom and I $90 each for contact lenses fitting, no contact lenses fitting happened, my mom had to pay even though they ran out of contacts a Chris something optometrist recommended (Not the same optometrist woman from Mexico who checked our vision via Skype) so she walked out of there with no samples, and $90 out of her pocket. Destinee didn't even let us know when my mom's samples will come. She just told us they'll call and don't seem interested dealing with us anymore. She just handed me my recommended contact lenses. I honestly have never dealt with such a poorly ran, and unprofessional optometrist place. In a professional optometrist place I've been to they actually made me try on contact lenses that would be most comfortable for me. That is where the "fitting " comes from. I would not recommend anyone going through this horrible experience just cause of convenience. read more

I'd just like to say that I'm quite pleased that Stanton Optical came through and went above and beyond. Manager, Nick V. really made sure I was happy when I left his store. My damaged frames were just barely out of warranty but he was able to still find a way to cover the costs. It's been so very difficult lately and these guys and gals helped a lot. read more

I can't say enough great things about the crew at Stanton Optical. They've earned a customer for life. Eileen is such a pleasure. She took such care to measure the bifocals for my Mother. She also, made sure my glasses fit perfectly! Eileen is exactly what any business would hope to have in client relations. Also, I must mention Earl who helped give me what is a thorough exam, & is absolutely lovely as well. The atmosphere is comfortable & friendly. Their 59.95 deal is AMAZING!!! I literally walked out with my two new cute pairs of glasses. My Mom's will be ready in two weeks & only cost 79.95 for two pairs of bifocals & both deals INCLUDE the exam!!! If I could give them more then 5 stars, I would. Thanks Stanton. Esco. read more

This is the best eyewear experience I've ever had. As soon as I entered the store I was very impressed by their tremendous selection. The store was very clean and looked like new. I had a lot of questions about pricing because the offer I saw was very low but after it was explained to me I went ahead with the exam. I was taken in without an appointment and received my exam in just a few minutes. They did more tests than my exam at LensCrafters and was done in about 20 minutes or so. I even got my glasses about 1/2 hour after ordering them and I never have paid less for two pairs of glasses. Thank you for such a great and friendly experience. read more

Not impressed at all :/ called to schedule my husband for an initial eye exam within the week. To my surprise- they said they had something for the same day. We were shown to the waiting area and we signed in for our appointment time but weren't given anything to fill out. They checked in a patient that walked in after us and said it was because we didn't have an appointment - I informed them that we did .I was really bummed by how unorganized it was, because it's a beautiful facility. There is no physical doctor which we had no idea- it's a dr who knows where on a screen -Maybe we're old fashioned but I prefer a person. Just didn't work for us. read more

Went in for eye exam on 9/10/20 and Dr. checked prescription 4 (FOUR) times due to a problem with a Costco prescription ... exam was perfect, saw great in the machine.... was notified today (9/17) order was in (2 pair ordered). Went to store only to find only ONE pair was in, so the "order" was NOT complete. Tried on the one pair, was WORSE than the Costco set and was told that "you need to read closer" to the page, after I had discussed this requirement with the Dr. Rep then stated he would remake the pair, but what about the other pair ?? When will they be in, when will they have to be remade ? VERY disappointed !! WILL NOT recommend or be a returning customer ... guess I'll go to Walmart and get a set off the readers rack ... UNBELIEVABLE .... read more
