I have gotten three pairs of glasses in five years at the Escondido Stanton Optical. The first time…read moreI brought in my prescription from Kaiser because I couldn't find what I wanted. Fortunately, this Stanton has a contract with Kaiser for discounted pricing--even better than I could get at Kaiser's optometry group. I got lenses and a new frame for less at Stanton than lenses alone at Kaiser. Also, the second and third times I used the optometrist on-site, which is more convenient than scheduling with Kaiser. I have a complex prescription and am long past being able to wear cheap plastic lenses and bargain frames. Nick, the manager, has always been helpful about walking me through various frame and lens options, and following up when I have come in to get my frames readjusted a couple of times.

I walked in because the giant sign on the door says "2 pairs of glasses + eye exam for $79." Sounds…read moresimple, right? Nope. I already have Ray-Ban aviators with prescription lenses and just wanted to replace the scratched lenses. Not a new frame. Just lenses. The girl behind the counter immediately throws out "$200." No explanation. No questions. Didn't ask if I wanted anti-reflection, polycarbonate, glass, nothing. Just $200 like she pulled the number out of thin air. I asked how she calculated that price. She couldn't explain it. That's basic customer service 101. If you sell optics, you should understand what you're selling. Customer service attitude was cold and dismissive. At one point she even told me I was "yelling," which is nonsense. I was asking normal questions any customer would ask before spending money. They do have a lot of frames, but honestly most of them feel cheap, like $20-$50 quality. That explains the $79 promo -- it's all about pushing budget frames, not helping people who already have quality glasses. Not a complete disaster, but definitely not professional either. If you value real service and knowledgeable staff, you're better off going somewhere like LensCrafters or a proper optical shop. Stanton Optical feels more like a discount factory than a place that actually cares about your eyes. Hmmm no buenooo...

Another great experience at LensCrafters!!!!…read more Was due for a new pair of glasses and of course matching prescription sunglasses. I had been searching online to see what they have. Found so many pairs that I loved so was hopeful they were in the store. Came in on Monday afternoon, 04/07/2025. The store was clean and well stocked with a wide range of glasses/designer glasses. We were immediately greeted by Katie. She was so wonderful and helpful! She made my experience so pleasant! Showed her my choices, she fitted me for each pair and we were done. She made the experience really fun! Such a sweetheart! Thank you Katie! Can't wait to pick up my glasses!!!!!

Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased Prada eyeglasses from this location, and in less than a…read moreyear the lenses started crackling and clouding. A product sold as premium should not fall apart that quickly. When I returned to the store, the response was rude and unhelpful because I had not bought their warranty. Rather than stand behind what they sold, they used the lack of a warranty as an excuse to do nothing. Apparently, paying a high price for the glasses is not enough -- they expect you to pay extra if you want them to care. The quality was disappointing, but the customer service was worse. I will not return, and I would strongly warn others to think twice before buying from this location. Keep looking for other options. Save your money and shop somewhere that stands behind its products. Luxury prices mean nothing when the quality and service are this poor.
