Good service friendly people lots of good selections and excellent prices. Plenty of parking and great hours I'll go back for sure

Accessibility: there are a few accessible/handicap parking spots in front of the building and it's flat ground from the parking lot up to the store so no need for a ramp. The doors to enter are pull doors. There are two bathrooms inside, in the back, and both are any gender (with pull doors that are kind of heavy). Experience: as soon as I walked in it was super spacious inside and I loved this. I had plenty of room from other people and it wasn't crowded at all. The employees were really nice, I was seen right on time for my appointment, and I got an eye exam for 25 dollars with insurance. They have a few sunglasses but not too many...mostly glasses, but SO many to chose from. I wish they had more sunglasses because that's what I came for, but getting a full eye exam was good! read more

Called the store today because I smashed my last pair (set it on car and slammed my trunk closed - that's all she wrote)....I was a bit apprehensive as my last experience at the store was just ok....I spoke to Melissa on my way over and then when I arrived I got Melissa again....which was great. Melissa is absolutely wonderful....very knowledgeable and professional she explained everything to me as far as what I requested for the lenses and broke down all the details and charges, she took all of my info over the phone and had everything ready to go as far as insurance coverage when I arrived at the store. I was extremely happy with the visit and I can highly recommend them to everyone....very nice selection of frames...the store is very clean and organized...and again the customer service was very good. The parking lot is super big so plenty of space there! read more

Probably the most amazing optometrist experience I've had, seamless!!! A well-oiled machine, a smooth-running business. I walked in (they take walk-ins, btw) and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day at 11am. The woman helping me was new, still kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. On the day of my appointment, I was helped by Ruby first thing! She led me to the back with Jackie, which had her own station of welcoming clients with Part 1 of the exam consultations. Her portion took no more than 10min. She then handed me off to the Jefa, Dr. Nguyen. She was amazing, quick, and funny! I learned that she had been running her business for 10years; studying for a total of 8 years in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, before moving and settling in California. I'm so grateful for her! She recommended I eat more greens to help with my eyesight. Did you know carrots are also good, except if you smoke-- if you smoke, the chemicals in that combined with carrots cancels out. Note: Stop smoking. After another 15min of choosing between filters "1 or 2?", I was given an update on my prescription! I thanked Dr. Nguyen for her time and expertise and was led back to the front with Ruby. Ruby gave me exceptional service! She had a coupon we used for my visit, and she even went as far as offering to price-match with Costco's prices on contacts! Their office also offers free shipping, so I opted for that instead of picking up in store, which you can also do freely. I am SO happy with the service here and will no longer need to find another optometrist for the rest of my life. Thank you, Eyeglass World Escondido! read more

Eyeglass World Santee did a terrible job fulfilling my order. I had to come in 3 times and they refused to fix their simple mistake claiming it was Costco's fault since that was where my prescription was from. Had 4 different workers there who argued with me and one who yelled at me when I couldn't see out of the glasses! They even had the manger call me and rant about how it was Costco's fault with no apology on their part for 10 minutes before I respectfully had to hang up. I wrote a bad review and they contacted me asking to try a different location so they can make it right so I came to the Escondido location. Margo was great, she not only fulfilled her promise to make it right but also passionately reviewed different reasons of what went wrong with my first order! I was instructed to choose a new frame in case the frames I chose were too wide causing a distortion. I ordered my new pair and on my way home I received a call from Margo saying she found the problem when she reviewed my prescription from Costco & the prescription she had on file from eyeglass world santee. The person who filled my order( Crystal) who laughed at me and "double checked" the prescription had wrongly filed my prescription in the system the first time I was there. Crystal went as far as to blame the poor man for making them wrong when that's her only job and she did it wrong 3 times! Do not go to eyeglass world Santee!! All of the workers failed to fix a simple mistake and let me leave with nothing but Eyeglass world Escondido was polite educated and dedicated to making sure I leave with a pair I'm happy with :) read more

Super easy to make an appointment online. We got in in a couple days and they have lots of glasses options!

Went there for the $89 two pair including eye exam. Should have realized something was wrong when the exam went up another $15 if I wanted a complete exam. The frames did not look bad but there were a lot to choose from that were much more expensive. The kicker was the cost the lenses. They quadruped if I did not want the HEAVY plastic' talk about up selling. I walked out. Time just wasted. read more

I went in to buy new glasses. I found out my vision did not change enough to get new glasses. My problem was cataracts. Very honest company.

Dr Tu-Uyen Nguen and her staff ( Lupita and Laura ) are excellent. I was able to get an appointment the same day and she was thorough and very professional. She clearly know her stuff and her staff processed everything quickly. I highly recommend Dr Tu-Uyen Nguen and EYE GLASS WORLD. Thank you for the great service and I will see you soon for my glasses . read more

I just finished with my eye exam and had the most pleasant experience! It was all good news and they even clarified some information that I did not know my insurance covered. Fast & efficient work flow. Unfortunately during my visit there was a rude customer but they handled the situation very calm and collectively, just another reason to come here ((: read more

Just used to be my go to place for eyeglasses. But now I'm really let down with this company I have spent hundreds of dollars on sunglasses and eyeglasses. I take really good care of my sunglasses can you can see the picture below how there already falling apart at the lenses. I even got the warranty when I called back they said my warranty ended about three days before I brought them in. Seems they have this down to a science where your sunglasses start to fall apart and they don't want to Compu anything really sad after spending so much. I am very let down by glass world take a look at my pictures below this is how your sunglasses turn out even after you take care of them. read more

I hate that I even have to give this place one star! Their receptionist is the rudest person I have ever come in contact with. Claremont Eyeglass World actually cares about their clients. This place is all about the money and wouldn't even give me one pair of sample contact lenses to get me through after my contacts were delayed. She told me that I had already had my appointment and I had received samples at that time and I would need to make a new appointment and pay full price in order to get one sample pair! Disgusting! Avoid this place like the plague. Claremont hooked me up and I will continue to drive the extra 10 miles to go there instead were they actually care read more

Very clean, the displays are very nice! I came in for an eye exam, and I was looking to get new glasses and my first time getting contacts. The people at the front desk were so kind with all the paperwork, and later showed me how to put in/take out my contacts. The doctor was so adorable, explained how she determined my prescription and had excellent hygiene. The whole process was seamless. I ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses (and got a lot of compliments!) and monthlies for contacts. I literally knew nothing about contacts before, but between my initial appt and my follow up, I felt confident in contact care. read more

Quickly recapping my experience, eye exam doctor quoted me a sale price. Sales representative quoted me 10% higher . Did not honor the doctors sale. Took 1 1/2 hrs just to put in the system what I was ordering. Told me my glasses would be done the same day. Came back before closing wasn't done. Came back next morning, wasn't done. Came back before closing again wasn't done. Two days later picked up the glasses forgot to give me my demos . Overall lack of operations in running the facility to meet customer needs. Kenneth is rude and non customers service oriented. Telling me I can come back later to pick them up. Excuse me?? I'm not driving back again because you don't want to get up and help a customer out. read more

The guy on the phone was very nice and said he could fix my daughters glasses no problem. The place was clean and organized. We had to go in a couple of times to get help with my son's glasses (which we got elsewhere before we learned about this place). The employees were always very nice, welcoming and helpful. Tiera was especially awesome, she helped us both times and was very patient with my son, as well as going the extra mile to help us get his glasses fitting as well as we could! I am very happy with my experience with this business and would happily go back! read more

This is my first experience with Eyeglass World. Everyone was great, friendly and very accommodating. My husband and I saw Dr Nguyen was great. She took her time to get an exact prescription. Neither of us have ever had such a great prescription! I am not joking when I say it was perfect. I have never seen so clear! Lupita helped us order glasses, she is great! Not pushy at all, she is very friendly and doesn't rush you: I highly recommended this location of Eyeglass World! read more

Ken at eyeglass world is my go to guy for all of my sons glasses. When I first came in and ordered him a set of prescription glasses the prescription was slightly off and they tried to tell me that he has to get used to them (he has been in prescription glasses for a few years now) so he knows what feels good and what doesn't. Anywho I left with them and took them to costco to have them double check the prescription and to my surprise they were off. So now I'm upset beacuse they told me he has to get used to something that is clearly not the right prescription. They should have doubled/tripled checked his prescription before leaving the office. Long story short I called and made an appointment with Ken the manager and he took care of the problem he made sure that when he reordered the lenses that they were 100% correct. Thank you Ken for going above and beyond. read more

My experience at this particular Eyeglass World was wonderful all around! After breaking my glasses the night before I had to go to work, I decided to schedule my annual eye exam online and pick up some new glasses. I came in late morning and was attended to right away; the pretesting was easy and quick and Dr. Nguyen was fantastic. She was very likable and seemed confident in her trade. After the eye exam, I began looking at glasses and got two pairs from their 2 for $78 deal. There was no pushy selling that nobody enjoys, which was an automatic plus! They made sure the frames fit well and they made sure to get the lenses in as soon as possible. I was out of there with still an hour to spare before work. Will be recommending this place to all my four-eyed friends read more

Needed repair to my eyeglasses. Called Eyeglass World to inquire if they did repairs and was very glad to hear they did (other nearest place to get repairs was in Carlsbad 20 miles away). Made a same day appt at noon for 530pm for my son. Exams, glasses selection, fitting and payment done in 45 minutes. I was paying cash. Exam fee was waived with the purchase of glasses which were on sale 2 for $78. 1 year full protection for $25 on both pairs. The selection was great. Glasses ready the next day, less than 24 hours after the exam. I am impressed. I will absolutely come back. Everyone was quick, friendly, and helpful. It was the best (dare i say perfect) optometrist experience ive ever had (and I've been seeing an optometrist for over 25 years). read more

This review is solely based on the retail side of this place. Three weeks ago my mom ordered two glasses that being said when we got the call (actually we had to call multiple times to finally be told they were ready) we went to pick them up and they messed up on the glasses.... both of them. A week later again had to call did not get the call as they said they would we went to go pick them up and one of the pairs were scratched.... so my mom was only able to take one pair home three weeks later and we are still waiting on the pair that was scratched. They didn't seem apologetic at all they were kind like "yeah we will call when they are ready" you mean we will have to call in a week to check. The back of house the people that actually conducted the eye exam were super nice and had no issues with them at all. If you can go anywhere else just do that instead unless you don't mind waiting for your glasses for a month or so. read more

What is the point of scheduling an appointment, if your not going to see the patient? I arrived at the time of my appointment at this location and was turned away. According to the woman working there I need to arrive 15 minutes prior for a covid screening. She literally looked at her watch and said (appointment was at 10:00am) it's 10:02 we're not going to be able to see you because your late and needed to arrive 15 minutes early. If that was the case then why hell wouldn't you schedule my appointment 15 minutes earlier at 9:45 am so you could "screen" me for covid. Which by the way is just a damn temperature check, and filling out a form. In the time it took for that woman to turn me away we could have been half way through their "screening". They have lost my and my family's business. read more

I just visited for an eye exam and was treated completely UNPROFESSIONALLY! Margo had ZERO knowledge about my file as a customer and a proceeded to speak VERY loudly at me about my benefits not being current which was FALSE! I have amazing insurance and knew my services should be covered, she insisted I'd used benefits which had actually been placed on hold THROUGH eyeglass world. Margo proceeds to attempt to cancel my appointment, which I insisted I could pay out of pocket for. Margo then takes her time to type out my insurance as I'm explaining to her I'd been rushing. She keeps stopping to speak in a condescending tone and then tells me my examination is not covered by my eye-exam which was FALSE AGAIN! I paid for the contact exam and called my insurance back, she told me everything was covered and Margo CONTINUES with her attitude and persists and insists that I need to contact my insurance company for the reimbursement, and wants to do the remainder of the transaction over the phone after INSISTING that the transaction couldn't be done over the phone. 10/10 would never recommend interacting with Margo! Everyone else is sweet and kind but MARGO IS NOT THE WAY TO GO! When we asked for the manager, she smiled with a condescending tone and said "well it's me" and proceeded to smile. read more

Okok so i totally forgot to write this the day of BUT i had ordered a few pairs of contacts like a little over a month ago or so ,long story short there was an issue with the order and it was never placed. The issue got fixed and everyone was so nice and professional about it. They even sent a cute note apologizing with a few goodies i just received it today soo thankyou for that! (this was at the chula vista location) ANYWAYS!!! So a week after that, i had an event and ofcourse my plan was to have my eyesight by then so i called the escondido location in which is where i had my initial exam and everything and explained my situation. I figured its worth a shot maybe if i call and ask they can give me a try on pair in the mean time ? I didn't expect anything i just wanted to ask and the guy that i was speaking to was sooo freaking nice! I believe his name is Giovanni? Im sorry if I misspelled it lool but he did go out of his way to help me out ! It was super sweet of him and he deserves a raise ...just saying! Im getting all emotional ahhhh haha jkjk its just feels really good to know that there are nice people out there! Sooo yea thank you guys read more

My first tiMe and will be my last time coming here. My overall experience here was terrible, from checking in at the front desk to having my eyes examined by the doctor. The front desk made things so complicated with my insurance- it was so overwhelming. Then the doctor I can barely understand her because she was talking wayyyyyy to fast! Like cmon lady slow down!!!! It was hard enough to understand you clearly. Then my last complaint about this place is their lack of communication!!! My contacts was ready but no one called me for almost a month to pick up my contacts! Wow like seriously?!? I will not be returning. read more

I ordered 2 pair of glasses. First pair progressive and 2nd pair I specifically requested a prescription pair of readers to go over my contact lenses. When I went to pick up my glasses I knew the readers were wrong. Both glasses had the same prescription. I was told one pair was readers. It turns out they ordered a pair for distance only and the so called progressive were my readers. Really?! I can't wear progressive over my contact lenses. These girls have no idea what they are doing. They are not trained properly. Waste of my time. Highly disappointing. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND They wanted to charge me more money to get them redone because Progressive is more expensive. Why should I pay more when they already had the 2nd pair done as progressive which I didn't know because The girl who helped me couldn't understand what I needed and kept insisting they were readers. When I noticed that the pair I had brought home I could not see (read) things up close. I figured out why she was calling them readers. They did make me a new pair of readers properly but now I have my emergency back up glasses not done properly. RIDICULOUS \JOKE read more
