Hoping they sell again to someone that actually cares about the experience for their clientele. Upon my last 2 visits (under new ownership) the first night the bitter les-bouncer told my group & insinuated we weren't welcome in by saying "we close in 30 minutes" and hesitant to check our ID's. Last time was for pride weekend and the bouncers were charging some customers more than others at the door. This has been confirmed by multiple customers and even some of the former staff. It is clear the new owner is looking to rip off and take advantage of the LGBT+ community and it's disgusting. read more

The service here sucks . The bartender Kristi is not a very good bartender . She over serves her customers . To where they can't even walk straight just so she can get a better tip . And the tall security guard likes to put his hands on people when he's not allowed to . Wednesdays at Stacey's has to be the best goth night in Phoenix (aka Communion). The interior is beautiful. The high ceilings, gothic decor, and lighting serve up a spooky vibe. There's a dedicated dance floor and live DJs. The outdoor patio is nice place to relax as well. No cover, friendly staff. Do recommend if you're into goth and industrial. read more

This is a message to Brandon and Christopher. it seems to us that you own Stacy's bar. My spouse and I along with our good friend David went to get a drink about 9:20 pm January 17, 2025. We are patrons at your bar and we always buy the food from the couple in front of the door. My spouse and I were attacked physically by the doorman as we stood on the public sidewalk in front of the food stand and Stacy's. The couple who sells food witnessed the event. I am sure they won't say much as they need to work and have a business. The behavior of the doorman was bizarre. I lost my driver license last week and waiting for the replacement. Doorman would not let us in. I agree with him since I didn't have my ID. Our good friend David needed to use the bathroom and he was let in. The doorman didn't even look at his ID. As my spouse and started walking away to go home, the food lady recognized us as we always buy their food. We chatted with her and as my spouse made a comment to her that some people have no common sense to realize that we are much older. We were sharing with her our recent trip to Puerto Rico. I noticed that the door man allowed three women to go in without checking their ID's. When to doorman heard my spouse he aggressively asked us to leave the property. I had just ordered Lyft . The Doorman walked all the way to the public sidewalk threatening to hit us. So I said, you can't hit us. We are on the public sidewalk. I said that I will call the police if he hits us. At that moment he hit my spouse on the left side of his chest and so I said to him. Hit me and he did. I called 911 and at 9:25 pm. Our Lyft arrived and we left while on the phone with 911. Dispatcher said that cops won't show up unless we wait. We were not drunk or causing any problems to the doorman. I agree that he wouldn't let us in since I did not have my ID. I don't dispute that. As our Lyft waited, David came out of the bar and the doorman screamed at him to leave the premises and get into the car. David was not going with us so he responded that he will not get into the car. Needless to say. Your employee is a liability to you. His aggressive behavior was disturbing. We are extremely disappointed. As we lay in bed. I realize my right chest hurts. I called the cops and filed a police report from our home at 1:10 a.m. We were attacked and battered, not on your property but the sidewalk. I hope that you the owners will take the time to reach out as soon as possible. I asked the doorman his name. He gave it to me while I was on the phone with 911. I can't remember his now. read more

Though we have lots of family and friends that are in the shows at this bar we will not be coming back until something is done regarding the poor service of one particular bartender Kristi. This is a beautiful bar that is a bit quiet on Sundays but it is relaxed and I felt like I was welcome to have a good time! My only issue is that the bathroom stalls do not have any hooks to help hold purses. My thought is if you install urinals for boys, you should put in a few hooks for my purse so I can pee without fanaglng my bag around this situation. Very low-key laid back spot. There's good music and cheap drinks. I went on a Friday and there was a good amount of people out that night. Unfortunately most people stray away from the dance floor but my friends and I certainly danced the night away. There was an awesome food truck outside that had amazing $1 yes, $1 tacos! Had a night out at Stacy's recently and I was so impressed. The bartender was attentive, prompt and knowledgeable; she helped me pick a tequila. The atmosphere was stellar and you could tell that everyone was having a great time. Music was on point, vibes were on point, and service was on point. Multiple staff members continued to check on my friends and I all night. It's hard to find a place that checks all the boxes of vibes, friendliness and prompt service; but Stacy's nailed it! I noticed some nice whiskey on the back bar and now that the weather is colder I can't wait to go back and partake. So impressed with the direction new ownership is taking this place while continuing to maintain the safe and welcoming for all reputation that we all know Stacy's for. I came on Wednesday night and the DJ's setlist included Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and Garbage. The crowd was very amiable, welcoming, and friendly. There's even a little leather bound book to the right of the DJ booth where you can write in requests. :) I had never been there before and I just came for the music that night, and I loved how friendly people were. The drink prices are fantastic. It's a 2 for 1 deal, so I bought a dark beer for $5, and got another for free right after I was done with the first. The interior architectural design is amazing too! Like a dark cathedral. Very stunning. I was mesmerized by it. They also have fresh flowers everywhere. Their bathrooms are beautiful and clean too. In addition, they have extra parking in the back which is a plus for a place in downtown Phoenix. P.S. - Previously, this building was known as "Sanctum" it was a gothic club which is why it has gothic architecture. Sanctum has since moved to Central as a speakeasy for "The Grand" (a large bar and coffee house). read more

I HATE dancing. The dance floor here is so amazing, I was drawn toward it. It was so dark...with colors flying everywhere. Extremely loud music. Perfect for trance. People were getting down! I'm kinda lame though, so I went out to the patio and kicked it on the awesome furniture, drinking very reasonably priced beverages. I only recently learned that this (and everything on Melrose) are bars for LGBT, and wouldn't have even noticed if it weren't pointed out to me by my friend, who was literally nudging me toward the DJ. The drinks are super cheap - and heavily mixed - that I may just have enjoyed a few:) This is a super fun place to go, dance up a storm and enjoy a wide range of music. Bright lights, loud music and super nice staff. This is a place to go with your friends or special loved one. (Note: The night I went the crowd leaned mostly LGBT.) The bathrooms have a communal wash area. In addition to the medium sized dance area inside there is an outdoor back patio. The breath of fresh air after some cardio is great! I've been to drag shows in a variety of places over the past four decades and really enjoyed the Saturday night show here. There were performances to songs both old(ish) and new, and most of the queens brought a good amount of energy to their performances. I personally appreciate some campy humor mixed in with more standard dance/ballad lip syncs and there was none of that here, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. My friend and I hung out on the bar's patio area for a while after the show ended and it seems like the crowd here is very diverse in terms of gender, age, size, and style. That's something I always appreciate in a bar since it isn't particularly comfortable to be in a bar as an overweight close-to-being-senior-citizen when almost everyone else is a gym toned guy under 40. read more

We came in on a Thursday night ready to dance but it was country night so we finished our drinks and left. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! The bartenders were friendly, the customers were friendly, the bathroom is unbelievable wicked cool - the best bathroom I have ever seen. My hubby and I went with another couple friend of ours. I have frequented bars that Stacy has worked at for a number of years and was excited to see his new adventure. (very well deserved after all these years) The décor makes you feel like you are inside a castle, like you are a princess. The ceilings are incredibly high with stained glass windows about the building. The lighting is fabulous and flattering and the fresh flowers on the bar are a very nice touch. They have a patio outside where you can smoke but can't take drinks just yet. We were there on a Wednesday, which apparently is 2 for 1 night. Score for us! Our friends said, "oh, just leave the leftovers in the car. We are only going to be here for one." Yeaaa......I grabbed the leftovers (which the bartender put in a fridge for us - awesome!) and we proceeded to stay for quite a few (my hubby was driving so no drinky drinky for him). We had a blast with everyone who was there. Our friends can't wait to go back. Wish we didn't live 20+ miles away. Now the bathroom. It's like you are just walking into another room. It is a unisex bathroom with plenty of stalls and urinals around the corner. The lighting is not sparse, not plentiful, just enough. The concept and the design is what makes it the most incredible bathroom. Seriously! They also do this charity shot thing that I thought was a brilliant idea. Every month they donate $$ from a specific house shot towards a different charity. We had two of the Voice Puckers - SoCo, Apple Pucker and Cran. They were $3 each but $1 went to the charity. Great idea! Can't wait to get back. We will definitely make it a point to stop in whenever we are in the area. read more
