My 755th review and what a better place than Stacy's. Went here back like 15yrs ago when it was bumping as a club. This time during Pride for a Drag show. So totally different vibes on each visit. Bartenders super nice and friendly. Pouring them strong yet tasty. Decently priced. If you didn't know it if it is operating just as a club then you wouldn't necessarily know that it was a LGBTQ club. If you aint the dancing type then there is a nice big patio on the back. Bathrooms are "undesignated", and I quite like it like that - got that we all human, doesn't matter what you identify as. Might offend some people. Super casual, people are great - LGBTQ or not! read more

Stacy's is a fun spot! It's also huge!!! We came during a drag performance on a Friday night and the performers were so fun and had great energy. There was a decent crowd (nothing like the gay bars in Chicago but not dead). There are a few different rooms and a big back patio that was nice. The play great music and we had fun dancing here for a few drinks before continuing on our bar hop through Melrose. I highly recommend grabbing some pictures in the photo booth because ours turned out so cute! read more

Stacy's has some of THE best nightlife in Phoenix. You can show up any day of the week and something fun is going on. Monday night karaoke is amazing, and Wednesday goth night is SUPER fun. Great drag shows too! Staff are absolutely the best and will know you by name. I'm here at least 1-3 times a week. It's a great place to find community for both the LGBTQ+A and goth/alt scene. I showed up one night after moving back to town and not having any friends, and immediately was adopted into an incredible group of people who are now very special to me and I hang out with weekly. It's my second home now and I'm so grateful to Stacy's for everything they do. read more

I used to frequent Stacy's for the past 5 years. Ever since new ownership took over, I have not appreciated what I've seen. I already know this post will be taken down by management as they cannot accept criticism. 1) They have started to implement the use of an AI program even after excessive backlash from the community, going so far as to double down and gaslight the community at large. 2) They have consistently been unprofessional when it comes to criticism or negative feedback of the bar. They dirty delete comments, reviews, and block people for speaking out. 3) They do not have any tact for dealing with customer relations. The community continues to feel unheard and many no longer feel safe being customers in fear of retaliation from a bad experience or any possible feedback. This is not how a business should be run. I cannot in good conscience continue to support the bar. I am highly disappointed will not be returning until things change. read more

I've been coming to Stacy's for years at this point now and honestly the change has been great in my honest opinion. I go every Wednesday for their goth nights and everyone is so nice and welcoming . The drinks are well priced and the staff has always been helpful and amazing. The atmosphere is top tier and the decor is some of my favorite in the city. I know the goth aesthetic isn't for everyone but Stacy's has become home for me. I also vend and sell art and any event I've ever attended to vend has always been amazing. I was still going with friends but then new years, they sold $200 tables w/ a champagne bottle, my friends got a table, the place was so crowded you couldn't move, we left to the parking lot for a moment then went to go back inside, they wouldn't let us in! We told them we have a table and they said "I don't care, we are at max capacity." WTF IS THE POINT OF BUYING A TABLE IF WE DONT HAVE RESERVED SPOTS IN THE PARTY!?! There was a long line that was not moving so, my friends and I had to walk to somewhere else, lost out on $200 & we did NOT get the champagne bottle! We had to celebrate new years in the street! This place sure has changed. We've been coming to Stacy's for the last six years as a straight person it's been a place that I would enjoy coming to without being harassed or bothered by creepy men. But it's been sold and now has seemed to be taken oven by the gothic theme so all you really see is people dressed in black and the overwhelming smell of marijuana I know it's legal but not everyone chooses to smell it. So if the new owner is going to allow it to be smoked then maybe they can close the door to the smoking patio? The bartender wasn't very customer service friendly and acted as if he didn't want to be there maybe he was just having an off night and I get it but customer service is part of the job and plays a part on whether or not a person wants to even return. read more

Well - a story that is a bit sad because of what Stacy's once was - and the fact that it's clearly not safe-space for the gay community anymore. I've heard similar stories from other people - and seen some reviews - but I haven't personally experienced any of these dynamics until last night. My two best Phoenix friends - we are all older (55-66) gay guys and not trouble-makers in the least - have a regular ritual of going to Charlie's for a cocktail and tacos, then The Bunkhouse, followed by Stacy's, and then The Rock. This happens over several hours so there's no intoxication involved - last night we started at 7:00 PM and my friends were assaulted by the door-guy at Stacy's a bit before 10 PM. There were two cocktails involved at that point. When we reached the door at Stacy's the door guy was checking IDs - and my friend had lost his in Puerto Rico a couple of weeks ago - so we didn't go in. We went to the sidewalk to talk about "next steps" and because we'd all had busy tiring weeks we decided that the night was over and that we'd all head home. I had to use the restroom so I went in and did so. At that point there was nothing unusual happening. I went to the door and held up my ID - the door guy didn't even look at it and waved me in (it wasn't busy) - he did the exact same thing to three women behind me. Now - let me add - I'm Caucasian and so were the three women behind me - my friend who lost his ID is Latino. I don't know if that's a factor or not in what happened next, but it is a fact. I was inside five minutes and when I came out, my friends were climbing into their Lyft which was parked in the driveway adjacent to the front door. My friend was on the phone with the police and the door guy - red faced, eyes bulging, spit flying - was yelling at them to get off the property and not come back (can't make this sh!t up!!). He then turned to me and did the same and when I told him I wasn't going with them, he did apologize - but the guy was CRAZED! Second-hand - the backstory while I was in the restroom: my friends were talking with the vendors of the food booth in front of Stacy's and one of them quipped "I wish they would just use common sense" relative to not having the ID. It seems that the door guy overheard the comment and that was the trigger for the assault! The door guy started yelling at them and threatened to HIT them if they didn't leave. My friend said that if he did hit them that he'd call the police - and the door guy told him to do it - and then HE HIT BOTH OF THEM - closed fist to their chests!!! One of my friends (the Latino friend didn't have a coat on - less protection) is black-and-blue this morning! They did file a police report and they are working to identify the owner of Stacy's (we knew the FABULOUS name-sake previous owner) and they're pondering more action because they were truly attacked by staff without any real provocation. This isn't the kind of place we need in our neighborhood. This isn't the first time it's happened. We've seen lip-service from owners about the staffs bad-behavior before but it doesn't seem to be working. So - just know - even if you (like us) have had great times at Stacy's before, we never know when there's going to be something like this that happens again. Hitting customers should be reserved for the most extreme situations and this simply shouldn't have happened. As I said - this isn't safe-space anymore. I walked home in a bit of a daze over what I'd just experienced - it was beyond bizarre! And the door guy is getting his wish at least for us - NEVER AGAIN! We don't need them. read more

If I were you I'd avoid this establishment and support authentic LGBTQ safe spaces. Awesome dive LGBTQIA+ bar on the 7th Ave "curve" now called Melrose neighborhood. Some great memories made in this "church" of a bar with its lofty high ceiling and sunken dance floor with stage. Great enclosed and covered patio out back when weather permits. Some amazing karaoke nights and drag shows of yesteryear! Most very unfortunately, and it's been a problem since before Stacy has owned it, the bathroom sometimes reeks of sewage fumes and the stench permeates out to the bar area. This visit was unfortunately a time it made my eyes water. Maybe just have someone come and flush the toilets throughout the day on a schedule? This really helped with the high temps of summer sewage stench (fumes leakage) at the Phoenician's upper building ("Canyon")! read more

I always go for the drag show Malik and it is awesome! The drinks are affordable, the customer service is great food is available, hot and fresh and the queens are professional and very entertaining. The owner walks around and greets guests and people from ALL walks of life are welcome with open arms. Music is well cultured and good crowd. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I'm torn. Stacy's has been the go-to bar most Saturday's for the past few months, primarily to catch Opulence from 8-10 pm, a popular drag show featuring a lineup of incredibly talented performers from across the valley. Stacy's is the one bar that felt like home, where everyone and anyone could go and not be judged, instead welcomed with open arms. Well, Opulence has now been cancelled under new ownership with basically no warning. This has left a sour taste in the mouths of many loyal customers and resulted in this incredible cast of performers without their regularly scheduled Saturday nights. To make things worse, no real announcement was made by the bar. Instead this grave news made way through rumors and social media posts from its now former cast. I already miss the days of regular Facebook posts on the daily informing us of that days plans and exciting events to look forward to. Now we get minimal updates and little to no promo for those shows they've elected to keep. I can't say I won't be returning to Stacy's, but I can say I'm cautious. Staff has always been great and welcoming. Only time will tell. read more

Last time I was here, about two weeks ago, I was harassed in the bathroom by a very tall white guy who didn't back up when I requested (he had me cornered) and finally left the room with his lady friend while muttering insults about me, presumably to get me to fight back. He wanted a confrontation, I did not. I was so shaken up, I decided to leave. Also, the music was SO loud indoors that we opted to stay outside the entire night. No one was dancing, so I'm not sure why it needed to be at such a volume I had to yell my order to the bartenders. I will not be back and I suggest that if you do, you do not go to the bathroom alone. read more
