Great food. Typical of a diner. They had a wide variety to choose from. The dishes were delicious and fresh. Service was impeccable! The restaurant was airy and well lit. Place was very cute.

Been dining her for over 20 yrs. This place holds a special place my heart. Breakfast or lunch is great: i was craving pancakes. This short stack was exactly what I was craving. Service is friendly and attentive.

Friday walked in around 1:30pm, got seated right away. And inside decorations follow the traditional American breakfast setup, it looks a little worn but still acceptable clean . It also offers outside seating where you can enjoy the downtown street people watching or bring your pet to enjoy the time with you. For this trip, I really enjoyed my order -- breakfast burritos, generous cheese and fresh vegetables, the only thing can be improved is the potato, needs some taste bud wake-up elements. Other than that, my kids really enjoyed the mini mouse pancake, the strawberry was fresh and pancake with appropriately buttered. And my 10 years old finished two orders of it . Nice location for weekend brunch .

My, my, my, what a great breakfast spot! Reservation for (6) with (3) dogs, outside table, perfect weather and impeccable service. I got the chicken fried steak and mixed berry waffle, delicious! Others ordered Mexican omelet, eggs and bacon, eggs Benedict, pancakes with side of potatoes, lots of food, everyone was very happy. They were very attentive with refills and made sure we were happy.

Coffee was weak, and the chicken and waffles were really sad. Like Holiday Inn sysco truck sad. Had high hopes after seeing a picture of the founder, but was ultimately an expensive let down.

This was my first time coming to Stacks. The server was really nice and another employee who I believe was the manager on duty was also friendly and checked in to see if everything was good. I ordered something on the lunch menu. It was okay however I do plan to return and try their breakfast menu sometime since this place for sure if popular for breakfast. I do recommend this place.

Stacks is always a must!!! Food is on point every-time. The staff are friendly and welcoming

Excellent service, very clean restaurant, and best of all the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Will be back.

Absolutely loved this place. The service was excellent from start to finish, friendly, attentive, and never rushed. The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, which always matters. But best of all, the food was delicious. Everything came out fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. You can tell they care about what they serve. We will definitely be coming back.

Came here for breakfast with two others on a rainy Sunday morning and we didn't have to wait long before being seated. We got there around 9 AM and I prefer savory food over sweet so I opened for the South of the Border House Special because I thought it was scrambled eggs that I would be able to fold into my own tortilla, but sadly that was not the case. The plate arrived with the tortillas already wrapped with sour cream, guac, and the red sauce on it which made it impossible to pick up so I had to eat a burrito with a knife and fork. The way the potatoes were cut on the plate was also very interesting where it was a bit too big because the potatoes weren't crispy. ~~Parking: There's street parking available, but it's also right across the street from a parking structure. ~~Service: Okay. Seemed like they were pushing people to get the $4 coffee that we didn't want. ~~Return: Prossibly, for something sweet.

Louis was a great server today. They sat us so far 13 people and the service was fast. The food was great, even the coffee was great. Parking on the street was ok. The food came fast and was delicious. Such fast service

The food is amazing and super filling. It looks and tastes delicious. Classic, reliable American breakfast. The coffee does only come hot and there are no non-dairy options on the menu. It isn't too busy, even on a weekend morning and there is indoor and outdoor seating. The waiters are friendly and attentive, our food came out pretty fast. The diner is adorable, the indoor ambience is cute and clean.

Fresh ingredients, good portions. We stumbled upon this place on Sunday for lunch and it's a busy location. But the owner/host was very welcoming and friendly and immediately we were waved in with seats available at the back. It's a bit like a diner style, very casual and we ordered brunch items. Average price is about $18 a dish on our order, not super economical but the ingredients are fresh and service was friendly. Althoug busy, our server stopped by once awhile and had a short chit chat with us. The menu is extensive, so there's gotta be something for everyone. Overall nothing totally vows, but also nothing is bad. Just a regular Sunday American brunch.

Orchard City Kitchen seriously nailed brunch…read more We went yesterday and ordered a mix of sweet, savory, and drinks, and every single thing hit. The cinnamon roll pancakes were insane, fluffy, and topped with a cream that made it feel like dessert in the best way. The KFC (Korean fried chicken) was perfectly crispy with so much flavor, and paired so well with the sauce. We also got the BBB (bacon, bread & butter), and the bacon alone was unreal thick, caramelized, and honestly one of the best parts of the whole meal. The tater tot poutine was pure comfort food but a bit overwhelming with the amount of gravy and cheese making everything much soggier than I liked. I'd definitely leave that dish behind next time. The spicy noodle dish with the jammy egg and chili oil sauce was also a hit. It was simple but packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat for a good appetizer. We also got a jug of mimosas (strawberry guava + passion fruit mango), which were so good--light, refreshing, and perfect for brunch. The vibe was lively but still cozy enough to sit and actually enjoy your time. Overall, everything felt really intentional from the flavors to the presentation. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. Overall the staff and food were on par definitely have made a repeat visitor out of me now.

The owner took the time to…read moreexplain to us the inspiration behind the dishes and that really made the restaurant super inviting. We started with the crab crostini and the Brussels sprouts. The crab was very fresh and each crostini had a large portion of crab on top. The Brussels sprouts were very crispy and very umami with the cheese and bacon combination mixed in. The empanada was honestly a showstopper. I don't know how to describe it other than you have to try it. Both pastas were good but I prefer the mushroom one over the short rib ragu. The halibut was also good, and the basil sauce made it even better. I was already super impressed with everything but I think the stars were the 2 desserts. The Dubai cheesecake was an Italian style cheesecake, so it was a lot lighter than I was expecting (which was welcomed) and captured the essence of Dubai chocolate without being too overwhelming. The Lira in Wonderland was also SO good. It had a crown of cotton candy and was a mix of biscoff cookies, dehydrated red velvet cake (don't knock it till you try it), butterscotch sauce, and strawberries. I was honestly blown away by this meal.

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

Toni worked with me over the phone to make it happen, and when there was a small miscommunication about the vibe I was going for, she course-corrected instantly -- not just in communication but in the actual setup. That kind of pivot is rare. The outside area was ideal for our group of roughly 60 throughout the day -- a mix of high tops, low tops, and couches that gave everyone somewhere to land. Heat lamps on when we needed them, off when we asked. Ellie and Shailyn were exceptional the entire time. The food took a while also. Not once did she come back to check on us to see if we wanted another drink while we were waiting. Had Keep Calm and Crab On, Stuffed French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, Pipikaula Ribs and Flatbread…read morefor appetizer. This is more than just eating; it's a dining experience. Keep Calm and Crab On is their version of Crab Benedict. Everything about this Benedict is special and unique. Instead of the traditional lemony hollandaise sauce, it had a brown butter hollandaise. The brown butter's nutty and slight sweetness complemented the crab flavor that you can still taste the crab instead of getting overpowered by the sauce. They use loose real crab meat; not the crab patty type so no fillers. Really good amount of minced crab meat that it's nicely proportioned with the biscuit. Instead of English muffin, they use a big scallion biscuit. The biscuit was toasty on the bottom and the rest was moist with little pockets of honey. The poached egg's yolk was a bit more cooked than the traditional jelly or runny yolk but it did not make this dish any less yummy. Crispy hashbrown on disk shaped. Every part was great. 5/5 stars. The best Crab Benedict I've had and I've had quite a few. The waffle in the Chicken and Waffle was very crispy but at the same time almost flaky. It was not the dense fluffy type but it was easy to eat. It's like a cross between a croissant and waffle. The syrup was lighter than the thick pancake syrup. The waffle is 5/5 stars. The Chicken part of this dish is basically like a Taiwanese popcorn chicken that you can get from a boba place. Bite sized dark meat chicken battered and fried. Served with Sriracha mayo type sauce and syrup. 3/4 stars. The Stuffed French Toast tasted like lemon meringue pie. Sweet lemony filling. The French Toast itself was fluffy but at the same time nicely soaked in custard. Slight cinnamon flavor. It came with a thick slice of bacon which is more like a slice of grilled pork belly that was buttery and umami. 4/5 stars. The Pipikaula Ribs plate had 3 slices of bone in short ribs, kimchee fried rice and two over medium eggs. The short ribs were grilled and looked like the sweet Korean BBQ short ribs but it's more savory with peppery flavor rather than sweet. Tender meat. The genorously portioned Kimchee rice was mostly spicy. 3.5/5 stars because the Kimchee was too spicy to fully enjoy the dish. The Flatbread appetizer had a good amount of mozzarella cheese melted on top soft fluffy flatbread with salty prosciutto slice in between. Topped with perfectly poached egg. Wish they offer fountain soda vs bottled ones. Each dish was eye so pleasing that couldn't wait to dig into it as soon as they landed on the table. Staff, Anna Lisa, was very pleasant and just made us felt comfortable; which was important because it's our first time dining here. Nice comfortable dining room with high ceiling and big windows. Great food with quality ingredients and thoughtfully put together menu, welcoming staff, relaxed ambiance. Will definitely return.
