Read a lot of reviews and decided to give this place a try. Had reservation at 5, arrived at 5 and was promptly seated. Waitress arrived with water and menus. Because of the reviews on the apricots stuffed with goat cheese and bacon wrapped I ordered two and ate both, yummy (actually the star of my dinner). Salads were meh, prime rib was ok (although it lacked seasoning), potatos were meh along with the green beans. Dessert was chocolate mousse (bitter) and creme brûlée (made better at home). Be prepared to pay 15.00 per person just for the wine tasting. I thought that was a little much. Most places are free or they waive the fee if you buy wine. This places charges no mater what. The service during the tasting was great. Decided to stay for the pizza which was also good. I gave it a 3 star for the fact of having to pay for the tasting even if you buy. My mom and I did a wine tasting and lunch at St James, and it was all great! The wine tasting was free, and you tip your server which was nice. We tried 5 wines each, and I liked all of them except peach which was not my favorite. I had 2 dry reds, a sweet red, a sweet white, and peach. Then we had lunch there too which was also very good. It was my family's first time visiting Branson, so my mom and I decided to check out this winery as one of our first stops. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and super attentive. We stopped by for a wine tasting and had dinner afterwards. Brad helped us out with our wine tasting. Wine tasting here is free and we were able to try out a few wines and ended up finding a few that we liked. The wine was delicious. Everyone there was super knowledgeable and helpful in picking out the wine that would fit best with us. We ended up trying out their Ultimate Vegetarian pizza and it was to die for. An excellent addition to the Branson food and drink scene. St. James is a new addition to Branson a few weeks ago. They have a nice wine tasting facility with very knowledgeable attendants. There is a Bistro like Dining area separate from the wine tasting area. The food in this area is excellent with many unique presentations such as goat cheese stuffed apricots wrapped with bacon along with the usual hummus and bruschetta in unusual combinations. There a very good salads, sandwiches, wraps and pizzas. All of the food that we have eaten has been wonderful in presentation and taste. To top it all off, you will have a very good meal that is very filling. The wines are excellent with many fruity tastes to choose from along with the more traditional whites and reds. There is a large patio with Bocce courts in the back of the facility. We will definitely return the next time we are in Branson. read more

This winery didn't show up on google. We only came in because the big sign said lunch. When we walked in the sign said dining room closed but they sat us and said order light. We sat at the bar. The staff was amazing. Friendly and entertaining. The two menu items we ordered were perfect. After a glass or two we decided to walk around the cute gift shop. We found ourselves on an amazing patio. Words can not do the patio justice. This patio has the capability of being the entertainment spot of the whole town. We heard they had some good pizza here, so we stopped in for lunch. We ordered a small pizza and side salad. The side salad had lettuce greens, chopped cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, pecans, and an apple pie dressing! It was SO GOOD! The pizza was excellent too! I can't remember what the official name is, but it had ham and pineapple on it. We also ordered the Caprese salad as an entree, and it was excellent too!!! Restaurant: My husband & I celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant. They had a prime rib dinner for 2. Comes with 2 prime ribs, salads, sides, and glass of your favorite wine for $42. What a steal! Especially for the quality of food. We added the goat cheese stuffed apricots wrapped in bacon appetizer and this was a tasty delicate dish, I high recommend. Then the side salad was a refreshing spring mix with strawberries, almonds & goat cheese with a light vinaigrette dressing - simply delightful. Our prime rib was mouthwatering and we got a huge cut (more than the 12oz.). The red skinned potatoes were blended with Gorgonzola cheese and the green beans with prosecco...come on! This was 5 star food, I was blown away. Restaurant Service: The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the service. Our drinks (water & sangria) came out after our appetizer & salad. The food wasn't timed well. And our server, needs practice. Wine Tasting: The sangria (not on the menu) was at the recommendation of our wine host during our free tasting (which I highly recommend). I'm not a picky wine drinker - if it's sweet, crisp, and white...I'll drink it. All in all, if you love awesome food & wine, you gotta go. This was a nice addition to the small list of wineries in the Branson area. Their restaurant was a great place for lunch. I had the chicken salad, which was really good. The bread was a little too stiff and thick for the sandwich to be excellent but with the right bread...this would have been awesome!!! They would not share their recipe. Lol! The hubby had their pizza. He said it was good but not the best he's had. The wine tasting was short but they allowed six tastes for free. Their blackberry wine is their best seller and once you taste it, you'll see why. It's delicious!! Then they have a blackberry/blueberry and it is also so good!! You really get the fruity taste all over your tongue. They do have a tasting room for $19.95 per person but it is only offered at specific times. I would have loved to have done this but I didn't realize this when I made reservations for lunch. The tastings were later in the afternoon and evening. Yes! We loved the wine, the beer, and the restaurant. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The quality was far better than our experience at another winery on the same block. There were no videos or tours here, but the staff was fun and helpful. I wish they had beer samples to too, but we did stop at the restaurant to order beer and an appetizer. You won't forgive yourself if you don't try their appetizer of apricots stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon, and topped with a balsamic glaze. It was amazing. Not the wait staff, they were good. Just took too long for our order to make it to the table. Took 30 mins for a glass of wine, 45 minutes to get a salad, and over an hour for our pizza. I really want to give this place five stars but can't because of a poor recommendation by the wait staff. We showed up at 1:30 to eat and the waitress suggested we do the free wine tasting first. So upon her recommendation, we sit down for the tasting which was excellent! The tasting staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the wines! We finish with our superb tasting experience and head over to the dining area only to be surprised by the fact that the dining room is closed from 2p-4p! We were lead astray! We had to go elsewhere to eat and were disappointed that we didn't get to try the food. We will certainly be back for another tasting and hopefully some food next time. ;) read more

Love love love this winery. There wines are so much better than anything we got from other wineries in town. You can do a wine tasting and it has an attached café which serves some of the best food in town. I loved the Concord and Velvet red both Red wines and it surprised me because I can't ususally stand Red wine. However on the other end of the spectrum while I usually love white wines but I wasn't fond of their Velvet White or Country White regardless of the many awards those wines have won just a bit dry to me. The Pink Catawa was good as well. My absolute favorites were the fruit wines. The Blue berry was great, the Cherry was great and the Strawberry was KILLER. I could have this amazing wine everyday of my life and it would never stop being my favorite. The food at the café is good too, to tell you how good usually whenever me and my mom go out of town we try to never repeat a restaurant because we want to get a much in as we can incase we don't ended up coming back to this destination again but we came back to St. James Winery twice. Once for lunch we had the bruschetta and the cheese plate all of which I highly recommend than we came back for their weekend dinner special Prime Rib. I have to say as much as I liked the Prime Rib the sides where disappointing. I wouldn't do the Prime Rib dinner again solely because the sides massively missed the mark. read more
