My wife and I were looking for a new hot tub and went to St. Cyr to see what they offered. We spoke with Nancy and decided on a Dimension One hot tub. Nancy was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions to make sure we were choosing the tub that was right for us. She also covered all setup and maintenance requirements. Once we placed the order, Nancy scheduled our delivery which was actually scheduled around the site prep we were finishing. On delivery day, three gentlemen arrived to unload and set up the tub in the location we had prepared. Delivery and setup were top notch as well. Our experience with Nancy and the rest of the team at St Cyr was A+++! We cannot recommend St. Cyr enough if you're looking to purchase a new hot tub. read more

We purchased a hot tub through St. Cyr and at just under one year the tub started losing water. We requested service under warranty, and it turned out that the seams had failed in one of the seat modules. The seat module was under warranty, but they still charged us $129 for this. Apparently they will charge a fee for any warranty work after six months. It's pretty outrageous. Just over a year later, the replacement seat module failed. We asked them to replace it. It took numerous tries to get them to actually come out to do the new replacement, and at no time in the process did they ever quote a price. They ended up charging us over $600 for this second replacement. I do not recommend dealing with St. Cyr. Their communication has been consistently awful, and they gouge on price. read more

We have been using the same pool company for 30yrs but I think they changed hands or something because last year we had a bad experience with them and spent a lot of money with poor results. This year we did research to find a new company and unfortunately picked this one. The only reason we didn't give 1 star is because the actual pool service was fine for the most part. The reason for the low rating is their customer service. This company uses some interactive AI for overflow calls. If it works great but there should be (or at least offered) the ability to talk to a real person, either by call back or to wait on hold. We ended up having an issue with our pool, I called, got the AI and the soonest appointment wasn't for 10 days later. I received a text and and email saying I had a booked appt. There was in the text something about a confirmation 24 hrs prior. Never received a confirmation but on the day of appt I called to check on them coming. Got the AI again who said there was no appt listed but instead the appt was for 3 days later. I never received anything to say they changed the appt. Had that happened I would have re arranged my schedule to accommodate 13 days later and not 10. Very disappointed as I had hoped to use this new company going forward. I then called another pool company who was able to fix my issue. In addition when I called to cancel the 13 day later appt, got the AI again. I specifically asked to have a cancellation text/email sent. One never came. So I called again the next day and finally a text was sent though it didn't say it was for the rescheduled appt date. The other pool company I called (spoke to a real person) were very friendly and very helpful. They even tried to tell me what I could do for my issue instead of paying money for them to come and do something and they charged less than this company for a service call. So overall had some aggravation with this company but worked out in the end where I had to try yet another company that we will continue to use going forward. read more

At this point, I can only assume they caused additional damage and are avoiding responsibility. This company has been extremely unprofessional and very difficult to work with. I originally contracted them for weekly cleaning of an inground, indoor pool, which they billed to my card on a regular basis. When a repair was needed for a valve, they drained my pool and then effectively disappeared. To date, I have no clarity on what work has been completed or where the repair stands. The first time I called for an update, I was told an estimate required my approval--but I never received it. Since then, I have been calling the store for weeks with no resolution. Each time I receive the same dismissive responses: "We will pass your information to the service team," "The service team is very busy," or "We will send your information to the owner to reach out to you." Despite these assurances, no one has ever followed up. As of this review, my pool remains half repaired, and I am now left searching for another company to complete the job they abandoned. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. At this point, I can only assume they caused additional damage and are avoiding responsibility. I will not know the full extent until I hire a qualified professional to assess and complete the work. read more

We've used St. Cyr for a pool closing, liner replacement (when the pool liner blew over the winter), pool opening, cover replacement, and pool closing. As relatively new pool owners, the only gauge we have on their work quality is what we've seen. We weren't excited about opening the pool to black water quality, but we've seen how challenging it is to keep water clear and swimmable when you have overhanging trees. So overall, we think the work itself has been pretty good, and the advice we've gotten from them sound. 4-5 stars for that. Their logistics, however, are 2 stars at best. We literally never know if we're going to get the appointment alerts or appointment time notifications: sometimes it goes to me, sometimes to my spouse, and just as often to neither of us -- no alert at all. We've had appointments pushed out multiple times in a row without forewarning (and not because of a weather/health emergency as far as we know). For example, we were required to reschedule our cover install and pool closure twice -- which isn't itself awful, but the first rescheduling involved actually _getting_ our text notification . . . and then receiving a personal text saying the message was 'sent in error' when we were expressly told on the phone that was the date they were coming. (The person we spoke to on the phone claimed it was a 'system error', but since this was already a reschedule, we're 99% sure they just didn't have coverage -- which they can just tell us!) They day they actually came, we received no forewarning at all. And that's for actual, paid work they're doing. If you have a question, or need to inform them of something, it's often hard to get the right person on the phone -- which we understand; their techs are out and about a lot! -- but like others have mentioned, we've repeatedly been told we'll hear back from them with no return call/text/email. Maintaining communication is nearly exclusively on the customer. I'd been uncertain about leaving this review, but their most recent accidental mischarge took the cake. We received an invoice for our pool cover replacement that was much higher than we'd loosely expected, but because we didn't have an estimate in _writing_ we weren't sure. We called them simply because one part of the itemized breakdown didn't make sense to us . . . or the person at St. Cyr (Kate) . . . or the person they consulted with. Thank goodness we hadn't paid it yet! So they contacted billing and, yep, they overcharged us by OVER $1,000. The invoice was over double what it should have been, and if we hadn't noticed it, we would have paid it. Their work has still be great overall, which is why we'd like to keep them. But keeping in contact requires persistent work from us, their 'system' is incredibly flaky, they've vastly overcharged us once, and we think they may have needed to reschedule on a date and could have just told us that rather than blaming the notification system when it _worked_ as a 'system error'. read more

hi been using st Cyr for three years had them replace all the grids in my filter beginning of summer when technici came tI close pool said that a couple of grids were broken how is this i asked I didn't touch filter your company installed grids and put in the filter i did not touch filter all summer other than to backwash technician said pressure was too high could of broken grids never heard of this closed pool myself never had an issue pressure was at 20 not happy they charged me 800 to replace grids and now after one summer broken plus it cost me over 400 to close pool read more

Horrible customer service, lazy technician x2 (Zack) and way overpriced. The pictures are from the opening and TWO cleanings. Still has algae and leaves leftover from last season. The yellow in my grass is where they drained the chemical filled water, even after we pointed out the drain. Now I have to pay to get it fixed. Owner (Jay) is unresponsive and does nothing to rectify the issues. Had to file a dispute, as services were not appropriately rendered. The irony is that I had cancelled the opening and they showed up anyhow. My advice... stay clear of st. cyr. read more

We got our hot tub from St. Cyr two years ago. We LOVE having a hot tub. It is a great way to end the day--or start the day. Its great together or all by oneself. We regularly have occasion to be grateful for St. Cyr's, a local "brick and mortar" family business, where we got our tub. In the past two years, we've been able to stop in any time, and they'll check the water and give us advice. We not only got a hot tub but importantly got connected to friendly, knowledgeable local folks. When we've had questions or needed service, it was easy to arrange and helpful. The owner came out in March and could not find the leak in my Dimension1 hot tub. He told me the next step would be to bring it back to his warehouse, put it up on a lift to see if they could find the leak. Needless to say this would be costly but I had no choice. I was losing water daily and my deck was going to collapse in time due to all the water surrounding the tub. It is July and St Cyr has yet to confirm that they are coming to pick up my hot tub and fix it. I have called several times, spoke to Nancy, Jay, Ruth Ann and whoever else answered the phone but have no resolution or appointment. Now they are avoiding taking my calls, everyone is "busy" when I ask to speak to them. I was told more than once I would receive an email to set up a maintenance call but I have never heard from anyone by email or phone. It is clear to me now that they don't care, are never coming and I am left with a broken tub. This does not meet my expectations for good customer service. In fact, it is the worst customer service I have ever received from a business. To leave a customer high and dry and avoid them is unacceptable. What am I supposed to do with my defective tub? I can't even get them to take my call. I also have no faith in Dimension 1 spas as I have read about leaks from other customers. DO NOT buy your hot tub at St. Cyr unless you want a lot of aggravation and pathetic customer service. read more

I have a 7 year old spa that was not working. The company I bought it from went out of business. I reached out to St Cyr's to see if they would service a spa not purchased through them and they were more then happy to help. Their customer service was friendly, informative and detail oriented. I am on my 3rd Jacuzzi purchase from St Cyrs. #1 was purchased maybe 12 or so years ago. It was great, St Cyrs was great with delivery and any (very little) required service. After about 6-7 years we had a leak in the tub which was determined to come from deep inside the tub, which meant that the unit would have to go back to the shop, have all of the foam insulation removed, and many hours of debugging. The cost (it was out of warranty) was going to be about ~$2000. We decided it was time for a new jacuzzi. #2 was purchased 5 or so years ago - we bought the identical Dimension 1 Spa and had similar great service and support from JR and the folks at St Cyrs. But after 3-4 short years, it appeared we had another leak (water level was dropping 2-3" per week). St Cyrs worked through the debugging, and it was determined the leak was coming from up inside the foam insulation. This time, they worked with us and did some of the debugging on my back deck and indeed the leak was coming from deep inside the foam insulation. JR was all over this and felt it was wrong that we had TWO tubs that leaked and we actually only bought the 2nd one because the first one leaked. So JR took it upon himself to call D1 and really push them to just flat out give us a new unit. He kept me in the loop the whole time (we were without a working unit for several weeks) and ultimately D1 said "no". JR wasn't happy, but vowed to make it right and get the unit fixed. A few more weeks went by without an update from St Cyrs, and I was getting frustrated so I followed up with JR. It turns out he had been working behind the scenes and finally convinced D1 that we deserved a new unit. The new unit was delivered the next day! On top of that he got us the unit that was 1 step up from our current unit and now had enhanced lighting and a water feature. We were and are extremely happy with everything they have done for us over the past years and really enjoy our new (non-leaky) jacuzzi! Oh, and they have a great customer appreciation day coming up on 11/14/15. Hot tubs filled with sodas and water (canned of course), food and great discounts on chemicals and supplies. I have been using St Cyr's for the last three years now for opening/closing my in-ground pool. Their prices are reasonable and the technicians that they send out are extremely friendly and knowledgable. Being fairly new to pools, I always use the questions about the pool equipment and general questions regarding maintenance and their technicians are always super helpful in providing me with the information I need, even though it technically isn't even their job. There was a slow leak in my in ground pool. The tech came out and patched where he thought the problem was. I brought the water level to where it should be. 3 days later the water was back down. They came out again, when I wasn't home, and when I called them they said they fixed it, but it was in a different area. I did not see a patch anywhere, but filled the pool again. 3 more days later the water was back down. A friend of mine fixed the leak which was just below the skimmer. I don't know what they patched, but it did not work. Then they send me a bill for some ridiculously high amount! Will never use them again. read more

FIND ANOTHER DEALER!! My service was excellent for the two weeks that I was inquiring about buying a hot tub. I got an answer back within a day no issues no problems. I actually commented on how great the customer service was and I was told by one of the owners in "this is the same customer service that you will receive going forward". What a surprise and disappointment on my end. Over the past year and a half it has been nothing but the worst customer service /responsive that I have ever had from a business. While the people are nice it's not about the people it's about the responsiveness and the ability to help with anything that I have needed. I have to call three times and email to even get follow up on issues. They come out to fix my hot tub only to fix the wrong thing and And then find out I have to wait 30 days to get the correct part. The excuse I received every single solitary time was that they are short on staff and the pandemic has increased business. I'm really not sure what that has to do with my customer service. I've been very patient. 48 hours is a customary business return phone call or email. Find a different distributor to buy your hot tub or pool from. read more

We hired this company to open our pool and were told they almost sent the workers home as we had a regular cover and water bags.(first insult) They did open the pool. The owner came out to give us a price on a new cover and was very nice and even solved a problem we had and wouldn't take any payment. We realized the company must be good and we would still use them. We then asked them to come out and put stoppers in the pool where the liner was coming down. they charged 129. which was fine but they missed a number of spots. when I called to say this and thought they should come back and finish the job I was told maybe we should take our business elsewhere. They did offer to credit our account, I refused as they did do work I work in a library and called this pool company because one of our patrons came in and told me what a great company this company is.. In the past three years I have had everything from small (opening and closing) to big (pool liner replaced) done by St. Cyr. They are absolutely great. I have a very old pool. When the liner was replaced St. Cyr took the time to replace pieces of the coping/siding that were failing. Normally that's just a simple part order. But because my pool was so old the part was no longer being made. St. Cyr took the time to find a sheet metal shop that could make a new part for me. That's the length they'll go to make sure the job is done right. Their store is great too, be it for a simple water test, purchasing more chemicals or to ask a question about something. I bought my D1 spa form JR at St Cyr Pool and Spa around 2009. I have always found the owner, JR to be an honest, fair and a trustworthy business man and he has always taken good care of me. Recently, an expensive part had to be replaced on my tub. When I called to order it, JR mistakenly told me that it was under warrantee and had it replaced the next day. When he discovered his mistake, he let me know but refused payment when I offered. This is an example of why I recommend JR and his business if you are looking to purchase one of the product lines they carry. read more
