I called for an estimate for a new cartridge filter including a new Hayward superpump(motor) and installation. The man took all the information, said he couldn't do it today because he was going to an appointment and would take get back to me the next day with an estimate. Never got back to me. I waited a few days. In the business world, if you make a commitment to a customer you follow up. If you can't do the job, a dealer should have the courtesy to return the request and state that you are unable to give an estimate for whatever reason but thanks for thinking of us. read more

Extremely poor customer service by one specific employee. Called Christina on 4 different occasions, left messages 3 times with employees, once left a message on a recording. I physically went to the store after the 3rd call and spoke to an employee who said he would have her call me and finally told me that they don't install above ground pool liners, only inground. I decided to call a pool liner installer and suggested I call her to get a liner and he would install it. Again made a call and never heard back. I finally ordered my own liner, cove foam and bottom pad. It's now days later and still no contact from Christina or anyone from EZ test pools trying to help. A return call from the first time asking about this would have eliminated this review and the legwork just to get a pool liner and have it installed or guide me to someone who could help. ​ read more

The store was very busy with customers and I was treated like a friend and that I was the primary focus. Not a good experience. They installed my pool and closed it for me and I had many issues and concerns over the course of the installation was supposed to be installed in April and finished by May it was not completed until mid July which caused other problems with the installation of the hard scape. When they closed my pool they cracked the hard scape and left my $600 pool filters out in the dirt without cleaning them or speaking to me about storage of them or care. I regret hiring this company. read more

In February 2022 I ordered a $2500 spa heater that had an 8-12 week lead time. My credit card was charged and an order confirmation was received. In April 2022 when I inquired about its status, the same person in Customer Service replied to me, stating that my order was still on track (we know now she obviously didn't even bother checking). When 8 more weeks went by with no further communication whatsoever I again inquired on 7/7/22, only this time a different person replied and admitted the order had never actually been placed. I received no explanations or apologies about how these things happened from anyone in management at the company, and the only offer to "make it right" was a $50 discount and of course wait another 8-12 weeks while we do what said we had done back in February. I cancelled the order with a full refund and have spent that money now with another company, as E-Z Test Pool Supplies doesn't seem to care about its customers' satisfaction, certainly not mine at least. read more

I went to the pool store to purchase several pool lights. I brought the old lights with me. When I entered the store two young men greeted me in a rather unfriendly way. I asked if they could help me find replacement lights for the old one. One of the men looked me right in the eyes and said that he didn't know anything about pool lights. Imagine that, a pool store that sells pool supplies that doesn't understand what a pool light is. Both were very rude when I asked if they could direct me to someone else within the company could help in any way. They just stared in a very menacing way implying that I should leave the store. I just shook my head in disbelief and walked out. I've since heard from several others that have had terrible experiences. Wish there was something less than 1 star. E-Z Test deserves a BIG +1! They did a spectacular job replacing our inground liner this year. More importantly, though, they provided the best customer service ever. We had a problem with our heat pump and fought with the manufacturer for over a month and a half with no resolution. E-Z Test stepped in and gave the manufacturer a big dose of "what for." I hate leaving companies bad reviews but this service was just unacceptable. I needed to have grout for a tile install and called ahead to ensure that it was in stock. The rep told me they had 111 tubes in stock. I needed 12. I ordered the 12 on thursday and anticipated having it delivered by the following wednesday. On Tuesday there was no change to the order so i messaged on the chat and they informed me that they can only send 2 tubes...something about "the distributor wanting to make sure it got to end users and only issuing limited quantities." Had i not called or messaged, no one would have contacted me to say anything even though, based on their reasoning, they would have never been able to fulfil my order. Furthermore, their site says that there is 105 tubes of the grout in stock! I was able to cancel and get my refund promptly and another company was able to ship my order same day (tuesday) for a Thursday delivery. Recommendation: be more proactive with corresponding with your customers so that you don't waste their time. read more

Blake, in the Plaistow store, was nice enough to sell me a display pool ladder that was missing a bunch of parts. (at a discount). Every thing was out of stock, or back ordered. It's hot and I wanted to get my grand kids in the pool. I was able to replace all the missing parts with my broken ladder. You guys rock! read more

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO ELSEWHERE FOR POOL ANY INSTALL/SERVICE!! I called this place (The Plaistow, NH store) a couple weeks ago and spoke to a female on the phone, in regards to having an above ground pool installed on my property. I mentioned that I wanted someone to actually take a peak at the yard and let me know how much the actual install would cost, as my yard is hilly, and I figured it would likely cost more than a typical install. She (I forgot her name) told me she would look into some things and call me later that day, or the next business day. No return call, I waited days and didn't hear a thing from her. I should have not bothered with this place after that, but I figured maybe she got busy and just forgot. A week or so later I decided I would stop in and actually talk to someone in person, and when I walked in, there were three employees in the store, and I was advised "Christine" would assist me with my needs. She was suppose to talk to me about pools and the packages etc, but as soon as I again mentioned I wanted someone to look at my yard just to be sure it wasn't going to cost thousands more for the install she lost total interest in explaining anything about pools and the packages they offer, I had to actually ask for the information, and you could tell she was in a rush and.wanted to just get me out the door. She advised me that she would talk to the installers and figure out a date and time that they could come out and look at my yard in order to get a better idea about what size pool and how much the install might cost. Ok, no problem, I gave her my informant AGAIN, and after I didn't hear for a few days I called her, she sounded annoyed, but told me she would talk to someone on Monday, but to give her some days and times that would work for the following week, which I did, and she would let me know. She calls me Monday and tells me they will be by my house on Thursday (TODAY) at 430 PM. I spent my morning and early afternoon rushing around doing errands, and then delayed dinner plans so that I could be home for these people, and they couldn't even bother to show up!! NO SHOW NO PHONE CALL!!! I'M DONE, on top of it she claimed that they were already sold out of radiant pools, but "that she would put me on the waiting list for next years order and that EVERYONE else would be sold out too". After these idiots couldn't be bothered to show up we went to another pool place (Daigle Pools in Londonderry), MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE, and they said "oh, yea, no problem we can order aRadiant Pool for you whenever you are ready"! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR GO ELSEWHERE, these folks have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE and CHRISTINE IS CLEARLY ONLY INTERESTED IN QUICK EASY SALES!! Oh, and I forgot, when she asked me where I lived I said East Derry, she made a face and snickered and said "oh, at least it's the wooded side" or something to that effect... This chick needs a schooling on customer service or to be sent on her way, otherwise you will continue loosing potential customers. I was very serious about getting a pool and she didn't seem to think I was worthy or maybe that I couldn't afford it, whatever the reason AWFUL EXPERIENCE and I will HAPPILY BE GIVING DAIGLE POOLS MY BUSINESS!! read more

We said we'd never have another swimming pool after we left our last house. Too much work. Pool was always cloudy. Couldn't get anyone to open or close the pool. Well the house we liked in Mass came with a pool, so what can you do. The previous owner had used EZ Test to open and close the pool so husband went there to purchase chlorine after we had moved in. He also took a sample of the pool water to see if they could recommend what chemicals we needed. At our previous houses, he had done the chemical testing himself using a variety of testing kits. We never had the clearest pool in the neighborhood. EZ Test ran the water test in two minutes and gave us a computer print out of exactly what we needed to buy. In two days, the pool was sparkling and stayed that way with just weekly shock treatments that EZ Test advised. The thing that we really liked was that most of the time during the summer, our weekly tests indicated that the pool didn't need any more adjustments. They didn't seem to be pushing a lot of chemicals on us. When it came time to close the pool, their people scheduled the date around our requirements and showed up as promised. They also spent some extra time explaining some of the details of the pump, filter and heater to my husband. We're now completing our third summer using them to open and close the pool and we're still satisfied. read more

Have to give one star! To be fair, the initial impression was quite good - I spoke with nice, well-mannered person named Roger, who was very responsive and punctual - with a stark contrast to the previous pool company. The INITIAL (!) cost of the in-ground pool liner replacement also seemed very reasonable. Since it was already early September, there was a question when to do the replacement. I wanted to do it sometime in May of the next year, so I can fill the pool with fresh water without need for filtering accumulated winter dirt, but Roger convinced me to do it now. Main argument - "there will be a lot of ground water in spring and I GUARANTEE you that there will none now! It would be much less expensive to do it now!" OK, let's do it now! Roger told me that normally it takes two days to do proper replacement - "we take care of our customers and pride in our work!", but because of possible weakness of the pool walls (turned out to be unfounded), they will try to do it in one day - difficult, but doable! So, on one rainy morning work began - not sure when, but when I left for work at about 9:00 a.m., no one was at the site yet. Surprisingly, at around 12 p.m. I got a call from Roger that everything is done and he needs me to pay $330 for a truck load of water to be delivered by 1:30 p.m. I was really surprised - everything is done in 4 hours instead of normal 16?! What followed was even more surprising - Roger wanted $300 for ground water removal! But the whole idea to do it now was that you guaranteed that there will be no ground water! If you GUARANTEE something - especially if your guarantee is the main reason for doing something your way (i.e. - now) and not what your customer initially wanted (i.e. - in spring), you stick to your guarantee, even if you made a mistake. Roger was saying something "if we have ground water now, imagine how bad it would've been in spring! I would've charge you $850!" Don't think so, Roger - when I did my first liner replacement some 15 years ago - in May! - there was NO ground water whatsoever, not a drop! But there is another question: your guarantee aside - how did you come up with $300? It couldn't be labor cost, because the ENTIRE job was done in mere 4 hours (or less) instead of 16! Roger told me that they had to "sacrifice" the pump and leave in the ground (is it believable?)... So, I paid $300 for a pump, buried somewhere under the pool, that worth $30 at best, although I felt that I shouldn't have paid a dime. Then there was a big issue with pool water. When I came back home I noticed that water in the pool has visibly yellowish-greenish tint. I called Roger and he said that "it's probably minerals. I'll bring some chemicals for you tomorrow". Needless to say that no chemicals ever came. I had to prime my filter once again (everything was already drained and set for winter) and run it for almost a week until I stopped seeing nasty greenish stuff coming out of it every time I back-washed it. Once again called Roger about water, but most I could get from him "I'm sorry! What you want me to do - test every truck load?! I won't do that!" That's not the answer from a company that "takes care of its customers and pride in its work!" It's company's responsibility to guarantee that water in the pool is clear (water delivery company supposed to have a certificate for each load, BTW) and not from some swamp or sewer! And if your customer had to spend his time and money to fix your screw ups, then, at the very least, you have to reimburse for that. It is still to be seen what kind of job they've done (I already saw something that supposed to be done, but wasn't), but given the fact that everything was done in 4 hours instead of 16, I have grave doubts about the quality of their work, despite Roger's insistence that "they didn't cut any corners". Try to do anything in a quarter of time it supposed to be done and see the results... read more

I posted this on face book to- I am not related or a friend of anyone in this business- just a happy and appreciative customer- I live in Londonderry and our pool was here when we moved in many years ago. We were afraid of the cost to refurb the pool. We found Ez test just by driving by and thought we'd check in. We did this with several vendors. Long story short- an old inground pool is totally refurbed and beautiful. So nice to work with a business that remembers what customer service is. I wish I can give them a "0" star review. Don't waste your money and energy in this place. This is our second season with a pool. First time was opened with the help of a friend. This year, I am pregnant and we decided to hire this company and get it done quicker. First, the process to schedule a time was a nightmare. Then, they come in and said that we needed to remove the water from cover before they start the work. After we drained the water from cover they came and did everything in 1/2 hour. They suggested for us to put water in the pool since it wasn't at its level. We did that too. We also turned on the pump and it wasn't priming. Called them again, they sent someone who literally didn't check into the problem and said the filter needed to be replaced and that the cost was $700. Our friend came in and now everything is up and running normal, as last year! Save your money and time from these skimmers. We did half of the job for them and paid $334. Why they did not state the things they don't do in the first place? Instead of wasting our time and money. I usually go there to get chemicals and supplies, and have encouraged friends to do the same. Not anymore. read more

Terrible experience, and the worst customer experience I've ever experienced in my life. The robot still isn't functioning correctly (in spite of claims that it was my fault). How convenient of E-Z Test that they refused to check the machine for packaging material (which I had already done) while I was standing there to see what they were doing, even though I asked them to do just that several times, but magically produce a picture after I left the business. Do your business elsewhere, and ensure that you're dealing with a business who will exchange the product within 24 hours, as I attempted. If they're not willing to do this, take your business elsewhere. It's also worth mentioning that their Derry store (where I purchased this unit does not have their return/refund policy posted anywhere, other than the receipt. That means you can only see this policy AFTER they have taken your money. I'm not sure that's even legal, but at a minimum, it's not a great business practice! read more

They may be good to local customers but they rip you off if you are buying online parts. I bought side plates for an Aquabot that died before I could install them. I called and asked if I could return them and was assured that if they were not damaged they would give me a refund. Since all I had done was open the package and then closed it up again I was confident I would get my refund. I received an email informing me that both the plates had cracks and I would not get a refund as they were not acceptable to be put sold. They included a picture showing cracks. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the items before returning them so cannot prove if the one's I received had cracks or they took pictures of different cracked plates. In any case, they either sold me cracked plates and let me waste my time and $ sending them back or they lied and used different cracked plate pictures for their refusal. read more
