Is there a rating higher than 5/5 stars? Because they earned it. (Not exaggerating even a little.)…read more These ladies are amazing! I hired them for my wedding and lets start with the fact that they'll do a trial with you before signing a contract and putting down a deposit; something that's becoming increasingly rare all of a sudden. The trial turned out amazingly!!! I felt like the prettiest version of myself possible! And the best part was, after a couple of minor tweaks, it was even better on the actual day! I hired them to do hair and makeup for me, my mother, and my 4 bridesmaids and every single one of them felt the same way. The stylists were super professional, so sweet, and so careful to make sure we were getting what we wanted and were pleased with the results! Every single one of my girls said how happy they were with how they looked and felt and how good a job these guys did. We all have different facial structures and coloring and hair textures and lengths and they did such an amazing job with everyone. Not to mention how well it all stayed!!! We started hair and makeup at 9AM and the day wasn't over until almost 10:30 PM. Every single one of us looked as fresh at the end of the night as we did when they first finished. And that's despite wind, girls diving under the wedding dress skirt (these things are intense to get into/out of), vigorous dancing, etc. No one had to touch up fly aways, or add in pins later or wipe off sagging eye liner--nothing. (And I at least always have issues with makeup staying on well. Not a single issue this time!) I don't know what they did, or how they did it, but these women are magic. Go to them. Seriously, you will be the absolute 100% opposite of disappointed. Definitely my favorite vendor out of the entire wedding. At some point I'm finding an excuse to go back to them just so I can feel that pretty again.

Kristen Marceau, my hair stylist who does a great job cutting and styling my hair, has rebranded, updated and taken over ownership of the shop. The space is very inviting and clean. It is home to independent technicians ( Hair ,nails, massage and estheticians) who individually schedule and accept payment. I've only had hair services but can recommend Kristen, Danielle and Lindsay for hair as I've seen them all.

I learned about this salon from a client at my own job - she is an employee there. I decided to go in and check out their menu of services on my lunch break. Prices seemed reasonable, so I called and booked my appointment. I had checked out all of the stylists online and had hoped to be booked with Kristen M. as luck would have it, that's exactly who I got! She was very friendly and welcoming. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and actually said she was reluctant to do a service until my color grew out, stating it would make my hair unhealthy and she didn't want to be responsible. I appreciated her honesty and concern. I got the best cut and color from her and was thrilled with the price. My color has held up well and looks natural - just the way I like it. Kristen took the time to ensure I walked away loving my look! In observing other stylists while waiting under the dryers, they seem talented, too. It's not a salon with a lot of frills, though it's very clean and inviting. They have a separate nail area. I loved that I could tip on my credit card. So many places require cash tips now. This makes it easy and allows me to tip a bit more generously, as I rarely have cash. They offer coffee, tea, etc. I recently had my second cut with Kristen and was equally pleased with the results! It was also like sitting and chatting with an old friend. She gives pretty awesome scalp massages during the wash, too! They don't hard sell products like many salons I have been to. Brought our teenaged daughter here for a cut and she loved her hairstyle as well! So happy to have found a consistent, friendly, reasonable and exceptional salon!!

Carol has a way of always making me feel special- I'm sure she does this for ALL her clients. She is very thoughtful, and remembers my stories and talks about them with me when I return for another visit. The hydrafacial is great and left my face 'wedding ready'. The location is very clean, the front staff is polite, friendly and professional. I also have enjoyed massage here, and I have also had hair removal here. My only complaint... I wish I had my underarm hair removed much SOONER, and not over the past year. It is worth every penny!!!

Recently, when she went to redeem it after services for $150 she was told that it would not be honored because the spa had changed owners. I will no longer be going back and I know that not only will she not be going back but imagine she will be telling all of her friends how this was handled. I called to address this after and was not helped other than to be told that they were sorry and could not do anything.

First, I am only commenting on the stylist that did my hair as I didn't have any other work done…read more I met my stylist, Liz, over the phone when I called to find out if their salon was involved with Locks for Love. She explained that yes they were and that along with that, they would cut my hair for free! I was very happy to hear that I could donate my hair and cut down my cost in the process. We chatted about what styles I had in mind and I booked my appointment with her as we seemed to hit it off! My hair was quite long and she cut off a good 14 inches for locks of love. She was personable, and a lot of fun to talk to while she cut my hair. She did an amazing job!!! Before I left, I wasn't sure what it was but the owner made me feel odd, when I asked about the discount for locks of love. She gave me it don't get me wrong but, it just felt like she didn't believe me that I actually was going to send in my hair for locks of love. Anyways, when I left I felt very satisfied with who my hair came out and was thrilled about new look. I went back in a month to get my hair colored. It took me a month to decide on a color and I finally decided on a very emo type hair color. It actually was 3 separate colors and I loved all of them. I texted my stylist Liz who gave me her number with the picture of the hair color I wanted. She responded saying how great it would look on me and that it was definitely something she was able to do. Excited I looked forward to getting my hair colored with he.r So, today was the day. ::Sighs:: I went in with a picture on my cell phone. It was very distinct and easy to see. She suggested instead of the black undertone of my hair, that I try for a dark brown instead, so as not to get too dark. I agreed, as long as it was somewhat close to what I had in mind I didn't seem to think it'd matter. I also mentioned I wanted a gloss which she happily agreed to do. She started foiling my hair with blond first and then red and finally black. She was SO awesome I can't stress that enough, however her boss was hovering around her and scolded her in front of me for taking too long putting the colors in my hair. I found it to be extremely Unprofessional of her, as the owner of the place. She made her employee feel awkward and it was evident that she was upset. And honestly I can't say I blame her. I quietly asked Liz if she had another client after me, but she said she did not, which only made me question the lack of professionalism from the owner even more. A few more scoldings took place RIGHT in front of me from the owner!!!! The 2nd was for using TOO much glossing, and the 3rd for using too much red!!! Okay, so she rinses it out, and starts to blow dry it..... and as she's doing this she didn't have me face the mirror deliberately as she wanted it to be a surprise. :) :) (she asked me if this was okay first of course, and it was) When she was done, she turned my chair to face me to see myself and.... it was great! My hair looked awesome and shiny and it was soooo beautiful!! But, ...... ::sighs:: it wasn't like my picture. And, because her boss made me feel SO bad for her by all her scolding, I didn't have the heart to tell her I wasn't truly happy. She is an amazing stylist and had she been ALLOWED to style my hair her own way, I think she would have done fabulous! But,, there was hardly enough blond in the front, and I could barely see any red.. it was scarcely put in.... maybe a single streak in front if that. The brown looked just like my own hair color, except maybe a shade darker I guess?? I dunno... I gave her a nice tip, ... again mostly out of feeling bad for her. I hate it when Employers abuse their superiority like that. It's just wrong. Cost: I made sure to get a price before she did any work. it was a total of $110 dollars worth of coloring/glossing, But,.... I'm not sure it was worth it, ONLY because of the rudeness of the owner. Sorry but, if you want repeat customers, act like a professional!! SO.... I rated this as best I could 3 stars actually more like 5 for my sweet stylist Liz, as she's wicked awesome!! And if I could have rated the owner it would have been 0. She was just... completely rude and unprofessional and made me the customer question whether I want to return back again. Honestly, I just don't know, doubtful.

I've been here 15+ times. The first thing to mention is there is nothing "funny"/illegal going on…read morein this place. Another post said that but it's BS. Anyone who has been here a few times would know. It's no more questionable than the nail salons in town. With that said, every masseuse that works here is very skilled and about 2/3 of my visits have really been outstanding, ie complete full body massage including back, legs, neck, feet, hands, arms, with great technique and the strong pressure I request, hot wet towel followed by a clean dry towel and more massaging before rolling over, feet and neck worked on while I'm on my back for the last 15 minutes, and massages that have me walking out the door about an hour and a few minutes after I walked in. That is as good as it gets really. They are also open late and really close, so I can get a massage at the way end of my day like I prefer- when I can really relax before settling in for the night. What makes this review a 3 star is most of the time I get the same, let's call her the "regular" girl, and her performance is erratic. One day she is outstanding as described above, another day I get a massage that includes a lot of her forearms and knees, very little use of her hands, some of that is always welcome but a whole massage of it is disappointing. Also on these "off" occasions she tends to quickly move past my hands, feet, and neck, possibly skipping them all together and may seemingly kill time with what I'd call "fillers" - like repetitively rubbing my head or ears or an odd place like my arms, then if I ask her to move on she will say "oh ok feet" but will only do another area quickly then moves back to some useless excercise again. Maybe on these off days she is tired, however there is always another worker there and I feel like she purposely takes most of the work. The other masseuses I have seen here are always outstanding for every visit, just unfortunately 2/3 of the time I get the hit or miss "regular" girl. What keeps me coming back, even when I swear off the place are the great experiences, location, and hours, but I would come more often if the one girl was more consistent.
