I can't speak to price because I'm not the shop around type, but Abramo always shows up on time and always does exactly what they say they are going to do. They are very helpful with any issues I have with my pool and I never feel like they are trying to upsell me anything. This review would have been five stars, but the installer they hooked me up with WAS HORRIBLE. Mike at Abramo was excellent and I really should not give 4 starts given my experience, but Abramo Pools are good people. They just need to drop Pools By US Plus from the line-up. DO NOT USE Pools By US Plus as your installer. Here is my review of them: Just a horrible experience working with Al that left a bad taste in my mouth. They clearly do not know their audience and try to take advantage of up-selling in the moment.  I am speaking specifically to them trying to sell me bubble wrap for $1,000. They had TWO years to inform me of the benefits of applying cushion to the walls and bottom of the pool. Instead, they try to take advantage of the customer right before the liner goes in. This is obviously by design and I am sure they get ignorant customers that feel the pressure to make a decision and overpay for their employees to stick on bubble wrap in 15 minutes. They began the day by unboxing my pool and telling me what a great pool I had going in. Then Al shows me pictures of a rusting skimmer boxes and tells me the pool I bought is cheap in an attempt to extort $1,000 for bubble wrap. When I tell them this is what the warranty is for, he laughs and says good luck with that. Do they think people that are excited for their new investment want to hear this? Their entire approach was cheesy and nothing that came out of his mouth was genuine. Asking me how much I paid for my pool and my car and asking if he can sit in my car with stone dusted clothes. Telling me that the bubble wrap would keep the heat in my pool. Do they think I was born yesterday? Heat dissipates from the top of the pool, not the sides and bottom. They also made ME run my car for THREE hours to heat up the liner in the backseat. What the f*** was wrong with the two trucks they had in my driveway?  They should NEVER expect the customer to do this for you. They wanted to make the liner easier and more pliable to install, then they should find a way to heat it up, not ask me to. My car broke down the next day as the main computer board melted (+$1,000 in damage). The placement of the pool could have been better. I counted on them and paid extra to abut a deck. If the pool was set 1 foot more to the right it would have met the deck curve perfectly. But this would have required them to actually dig out and prepare another foot that the old pool was not on. I paid for this.  They are supposed to be the professionals, but they took the easy way out whenever they could.  Nothing that came out of Al's mouth was genuine. He kissed my a** all day trying to butter me up for the big sell, I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. Even if the bubble wrap was a good idea, at that point I trusted nothing that came out of his mouth. They left my yard a mess and did not take the boxes away. My driveway had an inch of stone dust on it. A simple broom and sweep would have been sufficient.  The $1,000 bubble wrap hard sell was insulting to my intelligence. Offering me a lower price for "cash". Out of all the line items that Melanie carefully went over in terms of add-ons, why is the bubble wrap coming up during the installation? I will tell you why, because they give the customer no time to research on purpose and hope they throw money away under pressure. Abramo Pools confirmed that this was not necessary and also took exception to them telling his customers the pool was "cheap". They were also appalled that he had the customer heat up the liner in their own car. The experience working with Al was just sleezy, for lack of a better word, but appropriate. I can't tell you how annoyed I am, just a bunch of gypsies.  Lastly, I have a very sharp rock sticking up from the bottom of the liner. They were supposed to remove the old stone dust, rake and clean the area and then apply new stone dust.  They literally just went over it.  These guys barely had to grab a shovel but charged me a ton of money for it. read more

The drain plugs from our sand filter and pump were accidentally thrown away during our spring cleaning and we were in a bind when trying to open our pool for the season. After calling more than a dozen pool supply stores who didn't carry the parts I needed I found Abramo Pool & Supply. There are multiple versions and sizes of these plugs and without the parts I didn't have exact part numbers for them to lookup, Hayley went above and beyond to make sure they had the parts that I needed and that they were an exact match to my equipment, she was very kind and professional (something which is rare these days) and offered to hold the parts for me until I arrived. Out of all the stores I called looking for these parts Abramo was the ONLY one who had them on hand, and they were by far the most helpful. I will be using Abramo for all my pool needs moving forward! read more

Everything was great! I worked with Mike and he was very easy and very friendly to talk to. It was like talking to a buddy. I got a new water pump, heat pump, and filter installed for my in ground pool for a really great price, cheaper then other places! The 2 person team who came to install everything was also very friendly and easy to talk to. They came quickly, didn't take long, and everything has been working great for 1 season. ****UPDATE**** 4/4/2013 - On March 1st we had to go to a court payment hearing. Mr. Abramo was supposed to bring his financial records to show if he was financially able to pay the debt. He did not bring those and the magistrate was very upset he didn't comprehend the point of the hearing by bringing those documents. You never want to waste the time of a court magistrate! When asked why he had no paid, his answer "I just haven't." His answer to the magistrate on when he could send the payment was "probably in about 10 days." We extended him the courtesy of another 30 days to come up with the money even though we know very well he has the funds to pay immediately. We're not trying to be jerks here. He botched the install of the vinyl liner and he didn't want to take responsibility to fix it. Things happen, installs don't always go as planned but any good, reputable business owner knows, always keep your customer happy regardless of the cost. It would have been cheaper for him to redo the install. He had ample opportunity to make this right. We contacted him ourselves privately, again thru our attorney and got no response. We did the Better Business Bureau process which he didn't take seriously or offer to fix it, wouldn't call us or come to our house to discuss a plan of action on replacing the liner again. Then yet again he stalled through the entire small claims process with remitting payment in a timely manner. Finally on April 2nd we received a check in the mail. He waited as long as he possibly could before the next scheduled payment hearing on April 5th. The original install was April 30th of 2012 and finally nearly a year later, we have the funds to hire a new contractor to redo the entire project. Consumer beware if you decide to hire this contractor. ****UPDATE**** 12/1/2012 - We won the court case against Abramo Brothers and they have been ordered to repay our full deposit plus court fees. He was completely unprepared for court. He also had no defense and admitted to the magistrate he left the project looking this way and it is not how a install usually goes. He didn't fight our claim at all. We are very happy to put this ugly chapter behind us and have the project re-done next year. Looks like he just had his Better Business Bureau accreditation temporarily revoked as well for not responding to a new complaint in a timely manner. It's been re-instated but if you read the details of the other complaint he had against him you will see some similarities with issues on communication and customer service. Thus far he has not made the court ordered payment and is past due on the date. Our attorney has mailed a final demand letter to him. Next step we have to take him back to court. Interest fees are accruing on the judgement amount as well. read more

The pool is 33 years old, there was a leak underground in the elbow 2 feet down. Henry and Juan came out, repaired the leak, connected the filter and pump, pressure tested the system and we will have the party as scheduled!!! We scheduled our pool that has not been open in 5 plus years to be completely renovated by abramo pool and spa. They gave us a great estimate of what we thought would cover all the expenses for a pool that had not been open in years and needEd Some serious TLC. They did not come out prior to look at the pool before digging right into putting a new liner. Now we are sitting about 4 weeks in with a new pool liner, half filled with water, with a new filter and pump but they did not schedule an electrician. After meeting with the electrician we found out that we will need all NEW wiring in order for The pool to be up in running... so we will have to wait another two weeks at least for this pool to be completed. Needless to say I'm not impressed with their business When they told us it would be a "4 day job". read more

UPDATE We found a new pool company and they had no problems understanding what we wanted. We got our new solid Loop Loc cover(not a generic) with two drain vents installed today. It was really simple--and no drama. We also got all new anchors which came with it--Phil used the old anchors so that leads me to believe that Abramo pool double dips at the expense of their customers. We also got the tools to screw in the anchors and the tool to stretch the springs to the anchors. Oh, and all for $1250 less than Phil was going to charge us. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH ABRAMO POOL AND SPA. read more

Abramo Pool and Spa have opened and closed our inground pool for the past couple of years. The contractors have always been nothing but nice to me and work efficiently. They appear very knowledgable at what they do and always give handy advise. Luckily they have a retail store as well! The retail store has been my savior! Whenever I have an issue with my water they know just what to do. They have a water testing lab right inside the store and even when I can't bring my water in to be analyzed the salesman are always helpful over the phone. We have had many successful pool parties thanks to them! I have recommended them to many. Its great to have them in our town! The store always appears clean and organized and the employees are always ready to help. read more

So disappointed in the replacement of our above ground pool liner. What should have been an easy job (at least that's what the sub contractor's receptionist said), is a disaster. Because of the crazy winter we had, we needed our liner replaced. Abramo set up a sub instead of doing it themselves. Not sure if this is standard or is because we only have an above ground pool, but first the wrong sized liner was sent....sub left the pool with posts and brackets unattached causing damage. 2 weeks and many phone calls later, sub came back did the job in a very short time and left leaving the liner with wrinkles and creases and feeling like mounds of sand are at your feet while wading through the water. Disappointing is being generous. Can't find the right word. I'm sure my husband could. read more

I had them replace my liner because it the sand had eroded under the skimmer and we thought it would pop. They (Phil) said they would fill with sand. After weeks of excuses they installed the liner. We noticed a strange patch like piece on the bottom. After a few more weeks of excuses and lies of coming by to check it out the said it was nothing. The section where the erosion is is still there, you can barely walk in the liner because it feels like walking on crushed rock and the caps to the side posts that hold the pool up are all falling off. They don't back their work and it's a hassle to deal with the owner. When you question him/them he gets a pissy attitude and blows you off even more. I wold NEVER go there again. read more

We needed to replace our above ground pool liner so I googled pool liner installations and came across Abramo Pool. I called and asked if they could recommend an installer. The rude gentleman on the phone told me I had to buy the liner from them and then they would give me the installer. My husband and I hoped into the car and headed right there to be greeted by the same rude gentleman. He couldn't figure out the correct liner so someone else ended up helping us. We received a call from the installer's company to set up a time, we needed to text them pics of the pool and the quote we received was ridiculous!!! Talk about being nickle and dimed!!! We choose not to use them. I went back to the store to pick up the liner and asked for another recommendation and was told they don't know anyone else and to call another pool store. Serious waste of my time and money!!! I could have saved money buying the liner on line. I will never purchase anything from here again. read more
