My girlfriend won a "Lambo For A Day" at Cars 'N Copters on the Coast, so we decided to take a day off and drive a Lamborghini Huracan. We reserved the one in Rosso Mars with Jacob, the Rental Fleet Manager. He set everything up for us and sent me texts and photos of the the car on the day before the drive. When we arrived, the Huracan was ready to go and he went over the vehicle with us. We had a blast driving this mid-engine Italian supercar on Coast Highway, Ortega Highway and a number of freeways in Orange County. Jacob also gave us two hoodies in my size, so that was a nice surprise gift!

Have taken my car in to get worked on twice. Both times Mark and Josh took amazing care of me and made it easy to schedule appointment quickly and get things taken care of. Best Auto Shop Experience Ever. Came to SSR Performance for a clutch job and honestly, I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was chill, professional, and welcoming. Everyone on the team was super friendly and down-to-earth, but also crazy knowledgeable. If you're even remotely into cars, you'll appreciate the level of expertise here. The waiting lounge? Let me just say -- it puts five-star Vegas hotel lounges to shame. Comfy, clean, and just an overall dope spot to hang out while your car gets the attention it deserves. What really stood out to me was how easy they made the whole process. If you're not the type to talk on the phone (like me), you can handle everything over text -- from quotes to updates -- which made things super convenient. I had asked to get my car back by Tuesday, and these guys went above and beyond. They stayed late and had it ready for me by Monday evening. I hit up Shah and he got me in touch with Rod! Glad Rod knew about the upkeep and preventative maintenance for the E9x M3. I ended up going in for Rod Bearings, then Rod mentioned the valve covers were going bad as well as the oil filter housing, since the engine was taken apart to access the Rod Bearings, the team got to working. I mentioned to Rod the gears were not engaging as well so he recommended trans flush.... And sure enough that was it! Overall: the team took care of my car, big shout out to Rod and Lordcito. Hey guys so i just recently went through the whole ordeal of the well known spun crank hub issue and would like to share my experience with SSR Performance in Orange County, CA. 3 weeks ago I had got the drivetrain malfunction while doing logs on a newly uploaded full E85 map. Was either bring it to the dealer and possibly waiting weeks or months just to get my warranty voided, or find a shop that can get my car back on the road asap. After making a few calls, I decided to go with SSR Performance in California. Without even contacting them, Shah who is the owner, reached out to me after getting word of my troubles. This is when i ultimately decided that SSR was the shop that i would send my car to. For me, communication is key. And it gave me a good indication of the type of people that will be handling my car. Without having to ask, i was given the whole list of parts that would be replaced, and how they would proceed with the diagnostics, repair, and installation of the Maximum PSI crank hub with all necessary gaskets and hardware. What I loved most was the daily updates, pictures and videos that was sent. I dropped off my car on a day that they were closed, and sent someone to receive my car. They got started with my car on a Monday, and got a call that my car was done on Friday. Also received a great deal for a set of polished SSR charge pipes. All I can say is those guys are phenomenal to work with. If you guys need anything done, i highly recommend them. read more

Communication with SSR performance is terrible. My husband is a huge BMW fanatic and brought his car to add an exhaust and lower the car. He loved his car until the car started having a lot of problems. SSR will not take any responsibility for not communicating their wrongdoings. As consumers, we heavily rely on the knowledge of these "experienced" mechanics. We did not know their overly priced exhaust would cause our brand new car to drive lopsided and make rattling noises. I had a tire completely burst in the middle of the freeway with my children in the back seats because of the way they adjusted my car. Having enough of the problems, we decided to take off the exhaust and springs, SSR completely threw us off with a large payment due. Something that was never discussed until pick up. Completely unprofessional as a place like this would want their customer to be comfortable before even touching their car. Once they returned my car to stock, they completely FAILED to tell me that I would need to realign my car. 2 months after having my car back to stock, I'm needing to replace my tires. Thanks to 714 tire for explaining to me that SSR should've advised me before blowing out my perfectly fine tires. Save your time and stress and don't modify your car with SSR. Your dream will become your worst nightmare. read more

Talked to Shah on the phone about suspension for my 2018 BMW M3. He was very professional and straightforward. He gave me excellent pricing and beat the other prices I've gotten by other shops in the area. He ordered H&R h.a.s. and had them in a few days later. Shah scheduled me for install the next a couple days later and I was blown away at the quality of work and speedy install. The car looks amazing thanks to Shah and the SSR team. Would prefer SSR Performance over any shop, of course i did my research and read some reviews and ultimately decided that SSR was going to be the shop that took care of my car, 1st visit was a diagnostic, within a hour or two I get a call back with things that need to be done, then set an appointment for the following week for walnut blast, SSR took very good care of me from being professional and making me feel welcomed and made sure I was good while I waited a few hours for my car to be finished, even the tech let me tag along with him for some lunch while he waited for my car to cool down for the walnut blast, I would definitely recommend SSR performance to all my friends, suuuuper friendly and GREAT customer service? Brought my 13' Infiniti G37xS for coilovers, control arms, wheel bearings, and spacers installation. They took extra time purely due to rust on my subframe but I was very satisfied with their work. Even after the two/three extra days they honored very close to the original quote they provided beforehand. read more

I've consistently brought my BMW here on several occasions. Maintenance, preventative things, and upgrades. Shah has been a tremendous help in not only educating me on stuff I knew nothing about but also in making me feel comfortable with leaving my baby (car) at SSR to be worked on. I've gotten to know a few of the front of the house staff whom are also very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommended this performance shop! I had the pleasure of working with Shah and Zayn, who worked tirelessly on my 2012 335is. I've been to many reputable shops in Southern California such as European Auto Source (EAS), Mod Auto/Mod Bargains, MRF Engineering etc. SSR Performance beats ALL of those shops by a HUGE margin, hands down. Shah and Zayn even showed up to my home to perform a misfire diagnostic, as well as to install new painted reflectors and didn't leave until almost 1am Saturday morning! Talk about dedication and customer service! Who else is willing to go the extra mile like that these days?? While the guys working at those other shops were at home, all cozy in their little beds on a Friday night, Shah and Zayn were up late and resolved my misfire issue, which McKenna BMW incorrectly diagnosed! The problem ended up being a $40 ignition coil whereas McKenna BMW wanted me to perform a $500 walnut blast to cure the misfire! Shah and Zayn are passionate, extremely capable, have great attention to detail and provide EXCELLENT customer service and follow-up. I was extremely impressed by the level of professionalism and knowledge both of them demonstrated as well as the great advice they gave me for future improvements. If you are a BMW enthusiast, you know that things in the N54 world are constantly changing. New methods of engine tuning are developed (e.g., MHD) and innovative companies are constantly releasing improved aftermarket parts (e.g., RB Turbo, Pure Turbo, Burger Tuning, VRSF, VTT, etc.) despite the N54 being a mature platform. Big shout out to Jake from SSR Performance. I have a 2019 Porsche Cayenne S. I have been trying to research different ideas of how to accomplish the look I want. Most other shops were nice, but really didn't try to work with me to come up with a solution. Really appreciate Jake who took the time to work with me in person and come up with multiple potential options for my car and give me different ideas. It was easy to see he was not pushing anything, but really wanted to make sure I was informed as to what could realistically be done. Been taking my car to these guys since I got it from the dealership, whether its mods, collision repair or custom parts, they came through with everything that I needed. Review is long overdue: I took my 2009 BMW M3 to do my rod bearings and spark plugs as preventative maintenance and I could not be thankful enough to Shah and the whole SSR Performance team. They were incredibly professional, helpful and did everything to accommodate my needs. Their 1 day turn around for such extensive work is no joke, they worked with my work schedule and even let me drop it off after their closing time. Shah and his team kept me updated at all times and I could not be thankful enough to have found this shop. Posted a photo of my rod bearings below: do your rod bearings!! I had them upgraded with BE Bearings and ARP bolts never looked back! These guys are the guys to do them. read more

Just got done taking my Porsche Carrera 991.2 for custom headers and exhaust. I was interested in getting some information on what this entailed and also interested in possibly getting a tune for my car. Zayn walked me through everything there was to know about the process they take to make their custom hand built exhausts and Shah broke down exactly what the tune entails and how it will be beneficial paired with my new exhaust. I was extremely impressed by the fact that two owners of such a large shop would take the time to sit down with me and really teach me about my own car. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything at all, they let me make all of the decisions that I though were best. SSR Performance is a diamond in the rough when it comes to a lot of local OC shop who will try to price gouge based just on the fact that someone is driving an expensive exotic car. They will forever be my go-to and I will be returning for a full Satin Pearl White wrap very very soon! read more

Rod at SSR was only mechanic in Orange county who was confident enough to fix my car without costing a fortune. I broke my spark plug while it was still threaded thinking I was being a good amateur mechanic so ended up calling the BMW dealership as well as a dozen or so of the most reputable shops in the county. After hearing from BMW the costs to repair could likely go over $10K, I went with Rod and now my car is back to normal for a tenth of that price. Highly recommended. read more

I've had two of my cars recently modded from SSR. The first vehicle (430i) went in for suspension work and the most recent car (m850i) was in for suspension & tire mounting and balancing. The work was conducted flawlessly and the communication throughout the process was superb. I don't let anyone just touch my cars and I'm glad I was able to find these guys on yelp. Let me Start off by saying that I personally have trust issues with my car! When it comes to my car I'm super picky and don't like to get hassled! Before coming here I did a lot of research and drive 2 hours away to get my Rod Bearings,Engine mounts,Gaskets, tranny mounts, tranny serviced, cooling service and Wow haven't had no issue what so ever! A few years ago, I had purchased an F80. Knowing the engine had a design flaw, I later found out that SSR had the solution. While it was there, Rod had recommended a few performance upgrades that I opted to do while they had the car. The communication was great, everything was explained very well and the project was done on time and on budget. The photos show the lazy job I had received. I take full…read moreaccountability for not replying when I first said I would. However, I followed up a couple weeks later asking if a certain date worked. I even explained that I had been busy and said the only time I'd have to bring in the car would be the following week. I paid $450 for this wrap and an extra $100 for the wrap itself. When the first job was done poorly, I went back to the shop to address the issues and they said they would fix it. I texted on a Tuesday expecting a response, and I waited until Sunday to follow up again. Instead of Lisa taking accountability, she told me I "did not reach out," which is extremely unprofessional and untrue. I had apologized for being busy, and I did reach out; she just did not respond. When I reminded her the job was poorly done and how there had been no response, she took zero accountability and tried to use my words against me. Lisa ignored my response when I explained how the situation should have been handled and how she failed to reply in a professional manner. As the customer, I should not have to teach someone how to treat me correctly or how to run a shop professionally. I wasn't trying to start problems; I stated the truth about the situation, but she did not like that. I went back because I had already paid and just wanted the work corrected. I dropped my car off again on Monday around 11:30am. The shop texted me claiming the wrap "wouldn't adhere," which I knew was an excuse. I told them to proceed because the material was fine, and if they couldn't install it, that was their shop's error. The rest of my car's wrap was perfectly fine. To double-check, I contacted the previous shop, who confirmed this shop was making excuses, saying, "The wrap sticks just fine. It sticks on the rest of your car fine. They're talking nonsense." I knew they no longer wanted to service me, and I no longer wanted their service either. I paid a good amount of money for this treatment. I made sure the job would get done. The shop told me the job would be done by Wednesday late afternoon. This was the second time they confirmed a deadline and failed to meet it. I made it clear from the start that I have a busy schedule and cannot afford delays, yet they did not respect that. Removing and rewrapping a front bumper is a 1-2 day job, it is not like I was asking to wrap half the car. I set a boundary that if it was not ready by 5pm Wednesday, as they confirmed, I would request a refund. My whole car was wrapped, had parts added, brakes caliper color change, and badges blacked out in about a week. I took it to another shop before taking it here. (Dependable Guys in Santa Ana) I am not a professional, but I am not stupid. There were no photo updates either, I had to ask for them. When they finally sent a picture, the wrap looked freshly slapped on two days after I dropped the car off. The day I dropped it off, they said the wrap did not adhere. It looked like my car sat there for two days until I asked for the photo, or it took them two days to remove a month old wrap and throw on one big piece lol.. My car is a small sedan, a CLA, not a supercar or SUV. Her words were: "Ok we will remove all the wrap and give you your money back. Come and pick it up today." She added, "You are demanding the refund so come get it. We cannot accommodate the time frame for you. Thank you we will be gone by 5 so please make it in time so we can process the refund." However, Mark (the installer) had reached out to me and told me him and his co worker would come into work early to finish the job. This was the second time they broke their own deadline, and instead of taking accountability, she tried to flip it back on me. Lisa took everything personally when this situation should have been handled with professionalism. I never asked them to remove my wrap; I just wanted the job done properly. The installer Mark was professional, but Lisa was disrespectful, dismissive, and extremely immature in how she handled the situation. I told them to leave the wrap and keep the money. This was their mistake, which took up the free time I rarely have. Even after I explained my situation, reminded them of prior mistakes, and was patient with the delays, they still couldn't get the job done on time. I didn't want or need the money back; I needed my car back lol. It was clear they didn't take me seriously, and I was forced to escalate this further, which she didn't like either. This was waste of time and caused unnecessary stress. I was frustrated because I had to deal with unprofessional and immature behavior. All I got were excuses, missed deadlines, and poor communication. This business does not stand on its word or its service. Don't bring your car here. Many shops in OC offer far better service and professionalism. I recommend Dependable Guys in Santa Ana! It turns out the wrap sticks just fine and clearly they were making excuses... 3 weeks no issues.

I did tell him I was stuck between 55% windshield and 15% all around or go with 35% windshield and 5% all around. I came back to check the car out after it was finished, I am very happy with the 55% windshield and 15% all around as that is already dark enough for privacy. For someone like me that drive a lot and drive at night time a lot - I will consider this a gray area for driving at night time. If I went with 35% windshield and 5% all around - I don't think i'd be as happy lol. That would be too dangerous at night time driving. I also got the head lights PPF (light smoke). Day one, due to moisture was scary to drive at night time. After day one was over, it looked phenomenal from the inside out... I was debating on changing the PPF head lights out for clear on day one, now that I am used to it and the moisture disappeared, I can see just fine at day and night. Only thing I can say about the cons, I noticed a little bit of glue left over on the side window. Besides that, they did a very good job and Leo don't mess around about his business, he is serious about getting the job done right.

I recently hit a loose car tire on the freeway which left some damage on my front bumper. The PPF came in clutch and protected most of my original car paint. Unfortunately, the impact did penetrate through some parts of the PPF and left residual scratch marks, however had I not had the PPF the damage would have been much worse and cost a lot more to fix. Leo, Allen, and Dom were so kind to help me clean up and fix the area and make it look as new as possible. Not only did I receive high quality products and services from them 2 years ago, but now I receive a lifetime of trust in anything car detailing related!

Wow, I can't stop raving about SSR Performance! Seriously, they are hands down the best performance shop ever. I took my sweet BMW M340i to them not once but twice, and you bet I'll keep going back for all my future rides! Mark, Rod, and the whole SSR team give you the kind of experience you won't find anywhere else. They keep you in the loop with constant updates about your car, break down all the cool stuff they're gonna do, and their prices are totally fair. But let me tell you, it's the quality of their work that blew me away. Top-notch, unmatched, just plain awesome! When I first went there, it was to get a Valvetronic Designs exhaust installed, and they nailed it! Quick and perfect job, no doubt. The cherry on top was when they sorted out the delivery of my old exhaust to my house, even though I live like an hour and a half away. Talk about going above and beyond! The second time around, I decided to add some extra oomph to my ride with performance mods, side skirts, and paddle shifters. And man, did they work their magic! My ride feels like a beast now, all thanks to SSR. While they were at it, I also asked them to check out my carbon fiber rear diffuser, which some local shop had messed up. Let me start by saying that in my years of dealing with auto mechanics/performance shops, never have I been treated with such respect and professionalism that SSR Performance has provided me with. My weekend car is a 2015 BMW M4 and I've been looking to squeeze a tad bit more "umph" out of my car for those short, spirited moments where you really want to test the car's potential. Being skeptical of handing my car over to just anyone, I finally stumbled upon SSR Performance through word of mouth and my own personal research. Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately taken aghast by the chique, clean, and modern reception area. However, it did not end there. The shop area seemed to have been held to the same, if not greater, standard as reception. Im a very meticulous individual so it was very refreshing to find a shop that shares the same passion when it comes to cars. I decided to pull the trigger and get catless downpipes, some suspension work, and black vinyl roof overlay(they also offer full vinyl wraps!). All the work was completed in a timely fashion with tremendous attention to detail! Five thousand miles later, this car still manages to put a smile on my face with maximum power deliver through the power-band and has fully redifined the meaning of "Canyon Carver" with my suspension work. Recently bought a 2008 BMW 335i and I absolutely love the car but it turns out that I let the excitement of buying this car get the best of me and rushed in to it without thoroughly checking the vehicle. That being said, I was looking for a shop that was very knowledgable with these cars and since it's a BMW nothing is ever simple. First met them when i bought DCIs from them and they were very quick to respond to my messages and even met up on a sunday, no one I ever bought parts from meet up on sundays so that was a good first impression. They took the time to give my car a quick look when they didn't have too so that also shows that they genuinely care about helping others. I had a lot of questions about the car since I went from a nissan to a bmw and they walked me through the car and explained what everything does. Went back in later in the week to get the spark plugs changed and they helped me out with other things. Shah and Zayn are my go-to-guys now. Both of them know what they are doing and are very good at explaining the mechanics and functions of the vehicle. I have a 2014 Mustang GT 5.0. I have been looking around for a while for a shop that can get me long tube headers and also install them for a reasonable price. Saw the SSR Performance decal while driving next to a car that had it on the side window so I decided to look them up. I found their number and gave them a call. The owner answered the phone and he was really helpful, being that they do a lot of Euro cars, he told me that he would do some research and get back to me. They did their research and got back to me on the same day with 4 different options I had and which ones they recommended. They were very polite and know how to treat a new customer. Took my car in and had it back within 2 days headers and exhaust installed just as they promised. The main thing that I noticed was that my car came back cleaner than when I left it...this is the first time any shop has actually given me my car back cleaner than when I left it! I brought my 2022 Audi R8 to SSR Performance for a suspension and wheel upgrade, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. Shah and Zayn were both super helpful throughout the process, taking the time to walk me through the best options for what I wanted and making sure everything came out exactly how I envisioned. We went with KW height adjustable springs, and the ride feels so much more dialed in now--it's exactly the balance I was looking for. On top of that, I upgraded to HRE wheels, and they were able to refinish them in a brushed silver finish that looks absolutely perfect on the car. Moved out to Irvine 2 years ago. I don't have time to work on my cars anymore so I normally went to my buddy back at home before I moved out here. Starting to get into V6 power and ended buying my m235i. My business partner suggested SSR. Called them after someone hit my car in the parking while I was at work. They helped me out get the car back on the road like brand new! No problems at all after that. Decided wanted to start doing some work with the beemer. So Far the service has been amazing! Actually met the Owner at one of my locations I work at and really is a great guy! He has great suggestions and also listens to what you want! His team is amazing and works accordingly! I have witnessed them update their customers in their lounge numerous times so that the owner of their car knows exactly what's going on. No one touches my m235i except these guys! After watching and liking tons of their YouTube and Instagram posts I finally rewarded myself with SSRs power pack, bootmod and stance package for my F80 M3. From the first phone call to the reception when I first arrived and of course the work done to my ride, they were ultra professional and welcoming. My service rep Rod answered all my questions making me feel secure about my decision. I was given a tour of the facility and saw where my car was being addressed and met some of the techs. Since I had to stay at the shop all day, I was happy to see their great waiting room with a huge TV, every streaming service, fast wifi and a very friendly receptionist who kept me entertained and comfortable. Posting a few days after I picked upmy 335i (N54). As a former mechanic (albeit diesel) and currently in the aerospace industry quality is paramount so I like to take my time making sure everything is in tip top shape. SSR could not have impressed me more. They didnt try to oversell me on anything I didn't need. I usually do a cursery check of my OBD and a visual to ensure everything thats wrong is known ahead if time. Their workmanship is also superior and they even cleaned up my engine compartment which Ive been neglecting. I plan to go back for some turbos as I'm sure mine will need to be replaced soon (120k miles on the stock twins) to which they offer great prices on Pure brand turbos. Being someone with a heavily automotive background I do a lot of my own repairs and modifications. Unfortunately in California I don't have the same time and facilities I used to have in the past. So in stead of that I had to search for the right shop that was both reliable, friendly, has great communication and focused on building a lasting relationship tailored to my need and wants for my BMW 335xi. Made an appointment and stopped by on a recommendation from a friend. Shop is owned by enthusiasts that have been in the car scene hosting drives and events and recently opened up shop so I thought they would be trust worthy. I stopped by because I could smell fuel sometimes when I turned on my 2010 335i. Without any mention of cost or time the guys at the shop pulled my car in and free of charge diagnosed my issue.Within 30 minutes they had tracked down that my spark plugs needed to be replaced and the root cause was my injectors. These are some very honest guys, they quoted me the price for new spark plugs and injectors that needed replacement and I am set for an appointment for next week to get the work done! Not a big fan of writing reviews however, after the service I received I felt the need to. My 535i had many problems, after taking my car to 2 different shops I ended up wasting money and time as they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Reached out to SSR and gotten a response within the same hour and scheduled a time to drop my car off. They diagnosed and solved all the problems. Once I picked up the car it felt brand new and out of the factory. The service was amazing, they made sure i felt at home, as well as shared their personal opinions regarding fixing the 535i which benefited me and saved me money! So my review is long over due, I have used SSR for upgrades to my BMW M440i.... who knew you could make a fast car even faster, but SSR found a way to really put some extra fun into the car. I have also used them for wheel repair and powder coat the rims back to factory for my girlfriends AMG GT, and the wheel look amazing. I have also used SSR for routine maintenance (oil change, fluids, new tires, etc.) and last but not least, after a lady hit my car recently I have used SSR auto body to get my car back to looking amazing, honestly... if I could give them 10 stars I would. They wasted my time and emotions by giving me no hope and insisting that my car's engine harness part must be replaced. They even claimed that the part couldn't be found anywhere in the country. I was shocked but still had little hope, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and started a project. I sent messages out on Yelp asking if any shop could help, and Mike responded! I was still skeptical because I felt that what Euro Car Doctor had warned me about could be true. However, I decided to go the fair route. I disclosed all my concerns to Mike, and he simply responded in a firm tone that his team could help. I visited BMB RhineTrade, feeling scared and uncertain. But I saw some positive signs. The place was packed, which made me think that it might take weeks for my car to be worked on. However, everything was incredibly straightforward and easy. It was almost as if he read my mind. He met with me, looked through the diagnostic report found by Euro Car Doctor, offered a loaner, and got back to me within hours with a full repair report and an approximate cost. To my surprise, my car didn't need an engine harness replacement after all. And it was fixed within 2 days! Other than that, Mike was patient and let us ask questions. He convinced us from the point that I was desperate to get rid of my old Mercedes because I thought it couldn't be repaired to the point where I realized that my car is worth maintaining and still has a long life ahead of it! Thank you, Mike and BMB Rhinetrade team, for helping me. I know I had to pay for your service, but I still want to send my appreciation note.
